Character: Merope Gaunt

Prompt: Forbidden

Word Count: 176

Merope was in love. She was so in love with him; she didn't even know what to do. The way his wavy black hair would fall into his eyes, or the way his laugh would make even the grouchiest person smile, was perfect. Tom Riddle was perfect.

And Merope loved him. She did her best to try and get his attention, but he just wouldn't notice her. And who would? If you looked at her, you'd see nothing but sadness. She wasn't attractive by any means, and she didn't have anything going for her. All she had was her bloodline, which was important to her father, but meant very little to her.

But if Marvolo Gaunt knew his daughter loved a Muggle, he would most likely kill them both.

The love between a Magical folk and a non-Magical one was forbidden, but Merope supposed it being forbidden made it even better.

It didn't matter, though, her father's opinion be damned. She loved Tom Riddle, and he'd love her back one day, she was sure of it.
