Sorry for the long break, here's the next chapter. Now, just to clarify, this chapter takes place at the same time as the previous one

Miraak

The gigantic creatures snarled and took off from the tower. Miraak immediately ran out of the execution line, and moved to get out of the open. Miraak looked out, and, to his utter relief, saw Kulaan doing the same

-Meet me by the tower next to the main citadel- Kulaan's voice spoke in his mind

Miraak nodded and ran off

He saw a civilian man with long light brown hair running with the city guards, and ran towards him.

"Please, help me," He asked the man

"You're a convict. Why should I help you?" The man asked

"Yol Toor Shul"

The words shot through the air, and Miraak felt as if an arrow and shot through his soul.

The beast opened its mouth and unleashed an inferno, incinerating anything it came into contact with, whether it be living or not.

"By the Gods!" The man shouted, before drawing his knife, and cutting Miraak's bindings.

"Thank-you," Miraak said, before knocking the man out, "Sorry, but I'm rather certain you won't want to part with this," He took the man's knife, "And I need to survive."

Meteors were falling all over the place, causing explosions, they appeared to be centered around the gates, preventing anyone from leaving. As Miraak began moving towards the tower, one of the meteors struck the unconscious man, destroying him.

Miraak glanced back for a second, before shaking his head and moving on.

"Still hanging on, are you?" One of the Imperial guards asked, before drawing a bow and firing at the dragon.

The creature flew near one of the towers, and attacked it, breathing its flame right through the walls.

'Kulaan's in there' Miraak thought to himself, panicking, however, the beast took off, and he sensed his brother was all right.

An Imperial guard came running towards them, with a child.

"Gunnar," He said to the guard with the boy, "Take Hamming, and get him to safety."

"Of course,"

"Where's my papa?" the boy asked, looking distressed.

Miraak thought the boy looked somewhat familiar, but pushed the thought of hid head.

"And what about me exactly?" He asked the guard

"You seem to be doing well enough for yourself, there's a platoon of soldiers getting civilians to the citadel, go to them, and you should be okay."

The guard turned to run somewhere, and Miraak noticed a key on his belt. Acting on reflex, Miraak swiped it before any could see, and ran off.

He ran, staying near the walls, until he came in behind the platoon, along with several civilians.

"Okay, on my word-" The captain began to say, before a meteor fell right next to her, sending everyone flying.

'Enough of this' Miraak thought to himself, getting up.

He grabbed a shield from one of the dead soldiers, and a sword from another.

He noticed Ralof, and another Stormcloak running together, under the cover of the walls.

'They seem to actually know how to survive' Miraak thought to himself, before running off to join them.

"There you are; how'd you get away from that imperial bastard?" Ralof asked

"What?"

"Oh, must have been the other one, strange, two people looking exactly alike."

"You saw my brother?" Miraak concentrated, but couldn't sense Kulaan in any kind of danger, relatively speaking.

"Yes, he was-"

"There!" Ralof's friend said, "The beast is focusing on the imperials in the west of the city, now's our chance.

The three of them ran forward, Miraak saw his brother, standing by the door with an Imperial guard.

A look of horror came on Kulaan's face

-LOOK OUT!- he screamed into Miraak's mind

Miraak turned around, heard three words reverberate through his soul, and fire erupted in front of him, before everything went dark.

Miraak was dreaming, he didn't know how he knew that, but he knew.

In it, he saw two beings standing on top of a mountain. One was dressed up in armour, but not armour like he had never seen before. It was dark, spiked, and menacing, yet there was something familiar. He held two jagged blades in his hand.

The other wore the clothing of a wizard, and a strange looking mask. In one hand he held a staff, where as in the other was a ball of menacing light.

Both beings had the air of power from beyond the realm, and yet, they appeared to be beings of Mundus.

The two looked at each other, as if ready to do battle, but Miraak couldn't help but feel the sadness in the air.

As the two struck battle poses, a deafening thunder shook through the air, as thousands of dragons circled the mountain.

"SSSSSHHHHHH" He's waking up, Miraak heard a female voice say.

Miraak woke up to find himself in a camp in the woods, with Ralof and a female wizard, who appeared to be a Breton.

"What? Where?"

"Be still brother, you shouldn't move just yet/" The female said

"I'm not your brother," He said angrily, he wanted his brother, he tried to reach out, but couldn't sense his brother's mind, only a faint glimpse.

'We're too far apart' Miraak realized, beginning to panics, bad things happened when they were too far apart, the last time…the last time Kulaan had found their parents' corpses.

"I'm sorry, but most sorcerers.."

"I'm not a sorcerer," Miraak said, getting annoyed

"Really," she said, shocked, "Then how do you explain that?" she pointed to his body

Miraak looked down, he was dressed in simple clothing, under some fur skins, but other than that, there appeared to be no damaged of any kind.

"I don't understand?"

"The damned dragon attacked us," Ralof said, "Killed Gunjar instantly, I managed to miss most of the blast, but it caught you pretty good, seared your skin horribly. Colette here went to help us after the beast left. She began using her healing magic on you, when...well,"

"Your body took over," Colette finished

"Took over?"

"Took control of my healing spell and continued the job, I've only ever see things like that happen in very powerful sorcerers, so, either you are a mage, or your magicka levels are exponentially high.

Miraak thought about this for a second, before shaking his head

"This doesn't matter, I need to go, I need to find my brother," He tried to get up when a sharp pain shot through his body.

"I'm afraid that's going to have to wait," Colette said sternly, "You may have a lot of magicka in you, but the damage you received was intense, you are no where near a hundred percent. Ralof and I have carried you a great ways, I say the best thing for you is to continue on the path to Riften, once there, you can finish resting, and then you can search for your brother."

"And I say we should head on to Windhelm," Ralof said

"Windhelm is too far away to be carrying a wounded person, Riften may officially be Imperial, but we all know full well that the black market doesn't care which side you're on, but if you want to go traipsing through the woods alone, be my guest"

"Wait? Riften? How far from Helgen are we?"

"A ways," Replied Colette, "There were several tunnels out through the citadel, and, thanks to a key you happened to have, we were able to take the sealed one heading east."

Colette held her hand out to Miraak's torso, and a bright light began emanating from it, the light jumped out of her hand and began to surround Miraak. It remained there for a few moments, before disappearing.

"There," She said, "Try getting up now."

Miraak did so, and found that, while it was difficult, it was possible this time.

"Good, now, let's get going,"

Ralof grumbled something, but none the less got up, and gave Miraak a makeshift cane for support, before setting off.

'I'll get better, but them I am going to find you Kulaan, I promise.'

Okay, this part is done. By the way, yes, I am aware that Miraak's personality isn't in line with the game, but this is just the beginning of the story, stuff will happen
