"So you are here for application today to be our history teacher for this year." Dumbledore said as he sat in front of Prussia. At this point, Dumbledore had mixed feelings about hiring Gilbert Beilschmidt as the new history teacher. On one hand, Gilbert had a look of that of a soldier, and Dumbledore thought it might be a little dangerous, so to speak, to make him a teacher at Hogwarts. He was thinking about rejecting him but on the other hand, it was true that he wished for a new teacher. Most of his students were doing poorly compared to other schools in History of Magic. Considering that Professor Binns' lessons are apparently not that interesting, he was thinking that it was high time that Hogwarts accepted a new teacher.

So far, Dumbledore was thinking that it was a bad idea considering the man's stoic appearance. However the amount of knowledge the young man had was beyond his expectations. He had detailed knowledge about the British magical community and those of other countries as well as muggle history which most wizards do not know about. There was no mistaking about his talent for history itself, he was just worried that he would scare far too many students, hence the irregular interview test. He decided to determine whether he was good enough to be a teacher with his own eyes.

"Ja," Prussia said trying to sound official for once. Geez I haven't sounded like this in years. He thought. "I see.. Have you ever been a teacher?" Dumbledore asked. "No I haven't taught a class before but I've been a… home school teacher for some." Prussia said as he reminisced the times he taught America before the revolutionary war. He also remembered the time he taught Japan about the western ways, and how eager Japan was when he looked at his constitution and how he tried to make his own.* "I see, How did you're students do?" Dumbledore asked a twinkle starting to spark in his eye. He started to feel the love the man had for teaching very much like what he had. "They did fine, I think." Prussia answered, "It's hard to tell whether I did a good job since that's something other people decide for you, but I don't think I've done terribly." Prussia mused his lips curving up into a small smile.

Prussia always had a passion for teaching, after all he gave his all to teach his little brother into being a proper country. It's fun teaching children. I like seeing them grow up into something different with the knowledge I've given them. Nothing's more gratifying then seeing your student do something you couldn't have. He thought while he was thinking of Germany. He was proud, and he was happy.

Dumbledore kept silent when Gilbert's expression changed into a soft smile. Maybe he was thinking the times he taught his said students. He thought as he looked into him. He was starting to change his mind about refusing him, he looked like to be a fine teacher.

Dumbledore asked a few more questions about his teaching experiences, and Prussia answered trying to be as vague as possible since his experiences were quite old. He couldn't risk the old geezer getting ideas of what he was. I should've been more careful. I have to remind myself that I'm not exactly on friendly grounds. Gilbert cursed himself internally for his careless mistake.

Meanwhile, Dumbledore nodded once reaching a conclusion. "I have decided," Dumbledore started standing up. "I would be overjoyed to have you as our teacher here Mr. Beilschmidt." He said while he offered a hand. Also standing up, Prussia took his hand shaking it while he said, "No the pleasure is mine." With a smile. Good, I got the job now. He thought internally actually relived to get through all those endless paper works and exams to get it. It had been a long time since he had actually done something and he was also feeling a little proud. I've been in the house for a long time now since that happened. Guess this happened to be a good opportunity. He thought. "I know it's tedious, but there are a few more papers you must fill out before I can let you leave." Dumbledore said with a twinkle and a look of sympathy. Prussia groaned, and Dumbledore chuckled at his reaction. Not again.

It had been 7 hours since he left the house for Hogwarts when he finally got home. "We-st! I'm home!" Prussia shouted as he kicked the house door open, slugging towards the living room and dumping all his stuff on the floor near the couch. He fell onto it, feeling all the events of the day rushing on to him. "Bruder, welcome home. Would you like some beer?" Germany asked with an apron on him, rushing into the living room. "Mmmm, yeah." Prussia answered, "Gott I haven't felt this tired for a long time now." He mumbled. Germany sighed but he had a small smile on his face. "You seem to be satisfied though. Did you have fun?" he asked as he went into the kitchen.

The kitchen had a counter connected to the living room. Although the couch was facing the TV across of the small table they had, since he was lying on the couch, he was able to face Germany while he was slouching. Behind him was the dining table where they usually eat.

"Fun my ass," Gilbert snorted, "All those endless paper works and exams. Didn't do that kind of stuff for a long time." He turned over now lying upwards looking at the lights on the ceilings. But it was satisfying he thought as he closed his eyes. But damn I'm tired. "Now you know how I feel when I'm doing all the paperwork. Now you should knot to not bother me." Germany laughed, feeling sympathetic towards his brother's woes, but amused by his reaction as well. "Nein, I would always bother you. I never give up any kind of fun," Gilbert said with an obvious smirk. Germany sighed overdramatically walking over to his brother with two cans of beer and a plate full of food. "I'd prefer you wouldn't." he said while he set the food in front of the small table in front of the couch. He then set the beer and slouched shooed Prussia so that he could sit on the couch. Once he moved grudgingly, he also sat down popping a can and sipping it. "I've already eaten." Germany said while he kept sipping his beer.

"Danke," Prussia said, while he dug into his food. Meanwhile Germany flipped the TV on, switching channels to decide on what to watch. "Can you switch it off," Prussia groaned, "I don't want to watch anything today." Germany looked at him wide eyed as he switched it off. "That's rare." He mumbled. Cocking his head to the side, he thought about saying something but deciding against it, he stayed silent. Prussia shrugged and kept eating his food. The room was silent save the sound of Prussia's fork against the plate as he ate, and Germany's sips. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, it was rather soothing for the both of them.

After he was done, Prussia set his plate on the table opening his can and taking a large gulp of beer. "Thanks for the food west. It was awesome." Prussia said. Germany nodded then asked, "When are you going over to England again?"

"It's Scotland not England." Prussia said with a smirk on his face. "And I'm going in a month or so."

"I see," Germany said. "Are you going to miss me?" Prussia asked laughing softly. "Ja I will. But I know you'll be happy teaching there. It's been long since you've committed into something like you've done in the past." Germany said without any trace of embarrassment. Prussia looked at him then sighed taking another large gulp. He belched, which made Germany scrunch his face in slight disgust. "Why you are able to say such embarrassing things with a straight face will forever remain a mystery." Prussia said sheepishly with a faint blush on his face. He wasn't expecting such a straight forward answer towards his joke. Germany shrugged and said, "And it's surprising to me how you get embarrassed towards what I say." He stood up with Prussia's empty plate in his hand and went to the kitchen. Prussia sat there facing the black TV while he heard the sound of water running.

"Come home safely ja?" Germany said while he was washing the plate. "As if I'd get hurt! I'm awesome after all!" Prussia said with a dazzling smile on his face.

I did say I'd speed things up in this chapter, but I really wanted to put in some conversation between Germany and Prussia since I'm planning things in future chapters where it would make this important. I know the pace is rather slow and it doesn't seem like a harry potter/hetalia crossover yet. But I promise Prussia will be at Hogwarts at the next episode so I'll hope you'll bear with me.

* Prussia teaching America/Teaching Japan: There is an episode officially where Prussia goes over to teach America to make him stronger for the revolutionary war.(This is in the manga)

Considering Japan, this isn't an official setting but a famous one. Japan sometimes calls Prussia "Teacher" (Shisho-師匠 in Japanese.) in fandoms and I liked it so it's here. The setting was born when Japan (the actual country) had used Prussia's constitution as a sample to make their own. People thought it'll be interesting to have Japan call him "Teacher" and that's how the setting was born.

You might know, you might not so the information above is just in case you don't.

I wanted to thank people who reviewed my story and I've written replies below. Thank you for all your love and support!

Sadistic Princess13

Thank you so much! I appreciate that you liked my characterization because that's what I thought too. I like to think that Prussia acts stupid to make people happy and stuff but is usually serious when he need to be. I'll probably put some parts where he acts goofy when he's teaching a little, but it'll not come out when the situation is serious.

Crossover Junkie

That'll actually come up somewhere in the story. I'm not planning to make Russia evil here though. I'm hoping you'd continue reading to find out!

Kintoki Kin

I'm planning no pairings. And I'll try to update whenever I have the time!

Thank you for all the other reviews as well, I'm gratified that you approve of my fanfiction that I'll admit I started on a whim. I hope you'll continue reading though. I'll try to update as soon as possible!

Thank you so much see you in the next one!
