DAY TWO OF TREATMENT

Mutsumi woke up at 7 o' clock again, but much groggier than yesterday. She couldn't get the thought of eating spoiled food out of her head, and it really made sleeping a "mission impossible" type thing.

"Hrmm…I gotta get Su up, she needs to get cleaned…" she murmured under her breath. She went to Su's room, and when she entered, she got a strange surprise.

"Zzz…Zzz…" Su slept soundly against Kitsune who crept into bed with her sometime during the night.

"Kitsune, why are ya' sleeping with Su?" Mutsumi asked as she nudged her friend awake.

"Hmm..? Oh, good morning Mutsumi. Why ya' getting' me up so early?" Kitsune asked as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

"Why are ya' sleeping with Su?" Mutsumi asked again, sitting next to her friend on the floor.

"Well, I walked by last night, and I saw Su shivering. Figured she might need some warmth." Kitsune stated as she gently got up, as not to disturb Su.

'With a chest like that, it's a wonder she didn't get smothered.' Mutsumi thought as she tried to pick Su up. "I'll be taking her to the bath. She needs to get washed up."

*AT THE OPEN AIR BATH*

"Good morning, sleepy head. Ya' sleep well?" Mutsumi asked as she saw Su wake up from the warm water around her.

"Huh..? Oh, mornin' Mutsumi…" Su replied, still sleepy from being just woken up. Her voice was even weaker than yesterday, but she sounded less congested. The two girls lay there in the hot spring water, Su resting on Mutsumi's chest and Mutsumi holding Su tight. When the other girls came in, Mutsumi elected it was time they got out.

"Mutsumi, can't I stay in? It's nice and warm…" Su whined as she was taken out of the water. Mutsumi was gonna say about how they can get warm inside, but of course, a wind blew against their wet bodies at that very moment that sent nothing but pure shivers down Su's spine.

"Ahh…ahh…ahh…ACHOOO!" Su made a monster sneeze that startled the others, and Mutsumi carried her inside quickly. They got dried off, dressed, and went downstairs to snuggle under a blanket. The two quickly fell asleep, and about an hour later, everyone gathered around them, looking at the cute scene in front of them.

"Aw! So adorable!" squealed Naru. Motoko couldn't help but agree with her. She wasn't into "cute and fluffy" like she saw most girls around her did, but she couldn't help but feel fuzzy and warm in her heart at watching this.

"Giggle…Su's gonna rip Mutsumi's shirt off if she grips any harder." Shinobu whispered, making Keitaro sweatdrop a little.

"In that case, I'll get going for the day. Seta needs my help, so he said to come early." Keitaro stated as he got his shoes and was heading out the door.

"Not so fast, big bro! You gotta take a picture of this! It's just too cute!" Kanako grabbed Keitaro's sleeve as she said this and dragged him back inside.

"You do realize that this'll be VERY messed up if Mutsumi wakes up, right?"

"Too late for that, Keitaro. With all you guys chattering, I could barely stay asleep." Mutsumi said as she slowly got up to lean on the back of the couch. At that point, Su also woke up…but for different reasons.

"Mutsumi…I…" Su couldn't get the rest of the sentence out, as she puked all over Mutsumi, herself, and the blanket they slept under.

Mutsumi tried to keep her mind off the fresh scent of bile all over her, and humorously asked "How can someone who hasn't eaten anything have so much to bring up?" Su was quiet for a moment…then vomited some more. Mutsumi thought to herself 'Why did I even ask…' as she mentally slapped herself.

*LUNCH TIME*

Shinobu was able to go out to buy fresh food for everyone to last the week, and so, she started to prepare lunch as normal. But most of the house residents elected to go out to eat as to give Su some quiet time. Shinobu was a bit sore that all the shopping she did would be for naught, but realized that she can use said food for making dinner. Mutsumi, of course, stayed home, along with Kanako, who would stay back to handle any deliveries expected for the house that day. The trio had some canned soup for lunch, Mutsumi hand-feeding Su, who was too tired to leave her arms, although she did try on many occasions.

"Stay still, Su. You don't want this to spill." Mutsumi said as she tried to keep her grip on the wriggling Su.

"I can do it myself…" Su whined as she tried to escape her captor's grasp. In the end, she just tired herself out and fell asleep in Mutsumi's arms.

"Let me bring her up to her room." Kanako said as she got up to put her dishes in the sink.

"I can do it, but thanks for the offer." Mutsumi then tried to get up, but with Su in her arms like she was, she effectively couldn't move.

"That's why I offered in the first place." Kanako stated, a humorous mocking tone in her voice. Mutsumi smiled as Kanako picked Su up from her friend's arms and carried her to her room. Mutsumi then proceeded to get started on her soup, which had cooled down quite a bit since being made-just the way she liked it.

"Not stone cold, but not piping hot. Sigh…perfect." She said with a smile on her face as she sipped some of her soup.
