Kagome was sitting down with her back to Anna, she was reading up on Soul Healing and Shamanic Medicine when Anna looked up from her drama and gave her a look. "Yes?"

"You have gotten quieter over the years, I recall being at all odds with you because you were always causing trouble alongside Yoh."

Kagome laughed, "I find it's easier to read when silent, than when causing mayhem. Once I finish this book, I'll return to the good graces that you recall so clearly. I only have a few more pages left all the same."

Anna rolled her eyes, "I wait with baited breath."

"Anna, I'm back! They didn't have spring onions though, so I got white sweet onions instead."

Both girls turned as a short blonde walked in, a bag of groceries held in both arms as he sat them down on the table before noticing the second girl sitting at the table. "Ah, sorry, I didn't realize you had a friend over."

"Hardly, give the bag to Kagome, she'll be cooking dinner tonight."

Kagome smiled and placed a bookmark in her book, marking her page before she placed it down on the table and stood to take the bag. "What's for dinner?"

"Figure it out," Anna said, then returned to her Drama, as if Manta and Kagome weren't there at all.

"Your rather complacent, Kagome." Inari said from the countertop that she had settled herself on.

Kagome shrugged, "I need to give her a couple days to adjust. She's not all that happy about my being here, so I'd rather avoid her wrath for a couple days. It's going to be hard enough having to continue my training with her constant yelling and insults. I'll be sneaking out late at night to get my training in." Turning away from the Carrot's she was cutting, she gave Inari a smile, "I'm going to finish cooking, why not go explore for a bit?"

Her guardian spirit nodded before leaving her to finish cooking.

Carrots, Onions, Potatoes, Celery...Beef Stock and Beef Steak Cuts, a big bag of rice...she wasn't the world's greatest chef, but she knew how to make white rice and beef stew.

A few hours passed and Anna hadn't seen Kagome since she sent her to the kitchen to cook, Manta was busy cleaning and Yoh had yet to return home from his training. All of this left her with more time to think than what she'd anticipated, since her drama wasn't on yet either. She understood that Kagome was a Shaman in her own right, and the thought that she'd be competing against was definitely something she'd considered. What she wasn't understanding, was why Keiko had sent her to live with them. She was, as far as Anna was concerned, competition! Still, Keiko was going to be her mother-in-law, by placing Kagome there, did that mean she was testing her...? Or was she simply trying to get rid of her? Anna shook her head, while she and Keiko hadn't spent much time together, it was an arranged marriage, and Lady Kino had picked her out! She was perfect as a bride for Yoh, and like she'd already told everyone...she would be the wife of the Shaman King, and Yoh will be the Shaman King.

"Anna!" Yoh dragged himself inside, sweat beads running down the sides of his face as he sat down, finally finished with his training, "I'm back..."

"I see. Go check on Kagome, she should be done cooking by now, and yet I haven't seen her since she went to the kitchen."

Yoh groaned but stood back up all the same and made his way to the kitchen, spotting a simmering pot of what looked to be beef stew, and a rice cooker on warm, he glanced around the kitchen one last time for Kagome before returning to the sitting room. "She's not in there."

"...what?" Anna stood and made her way to the kitchen where, like Yoh had said, Kagome wasn't in. "At least she finished cooking. Yoh!" She snapped.

"Yes?!"

"Go clean up, you smell."

Yoh deflated, "yes Anna..."

"Manta~!" Anna called, watching as Manta came running down the hall with a mop and towel in hand. "Where did Kagome run off to?"

"...uh, you had her make dinner, is she not in the kitchen?" Manta asked curiously, not entirely sure why Anna was asking about the whereabouts of the new girl.

"Manta, is she were in the kitchen, I would not be asking you if you knew where she'd run off to."

"...right," he sighed.

"go ready the food she made, Yoh just finished hi training and will be downstairs after his shower. I'm going to go look for Kagome, so...take your time with the setup."

Manta's eyes grew, but he didn't argue as she told him to go slow. "Yes, Anna."

Anna walked outside with a few of her employed spirits roaming Tokyo in search of Kagome. It took a good fifteen minutes for a spirit to float down beside her and whisper in her ear Kagome's whereabouts. "Of course..." she started towards Monument Hill, why she hadn't started there was beyond her. Usually, that was where everything happened. Yoh met Manta there, Yoh met Ryu there, Yoh met Ren there, and now, Kagome has run off to the gravesite. "Seriously, they need to find a more creative place to gather." She walked up the steps that led to Amidamaru's grave stone, and as she made it to the top, she found Kagome, sitting in a meditative pose and glowing that ever gentle shade of pink that she did when she was completely focused and in a trance. She was looking. Anna sat down behind her against the tree atop Monument Hill and waited. She couldn't say how long it would be till Kagome snapped out of the reverie of scenic premonitions to come, but she hoped it wouldn't be long. "I should have made Yoh and Manta come."

Me: Chapter three of The Miko's Apprentice is done, I hope you all enjoy this chapter, I know it takes me awhile to get back into writing, and I'm hoping I'll get my chapter count back up as far as updates daily go. Preferably three-four chapters a day on my day's off, and when working, sadly, probably only one, maybe two. Anyways, let me know what you think, nyan~!
