Four words, Car. Rides. Are. UNBEARABLE WITH THESE GODDAMN IDIOTS. Okay so more than four words, but lets see someone else try to survive a car ride with a kimono clad little chicklette (who is glaring at you the entire car ride), a stupid flirtatious researcher (Yasuhara: who is annoying and gay as fuqqqqqqq), and a stupid Monk who won't look you in the eye let alone speak to you.

I nearly sprinted out of the car when we got to the destination. To say I was shocked is a bit of an understatement. The building was beautiful sure, but that wasn't it. So many goddamn spirits, and all violent ones at that. Even with me I doubt this will be an easy case. I couldn't help but worry for Lin and Oli's safety. I knew they had improved upon their skills since I last saw them, but could they really handle this? Well I guess that's why they called me. They know that I won't let them get hurt. I sudden found myself smiling and a slightly amused Lin looking at me.

"Why so cheery Kek-onesan?" I smirked at his slip up. Onesan, huh? Lin-Chan hasn't called me that is years.

"Onesan? You mean you guys are siblings?" Mai asks slightly shocked.

"Huh? Oh god no. We just used to call each other that when we were kids!" I reply

"yeah that's another think, Lin is older than you and Naru, how come you knew him when you guys were young?" Yasu asks curiously.

"Oh Naru and Lin didn't know each other, I knew Lin because it was his family that took me in."

"Took you in?"

"yeah! I don't know who my parents are. I was just born and left in bush by a school in china. Lin found me and took to his family, then a couple years later we met Oliver and Eugene."

"I don't pay you to sit around and chat about old times, start unloading the van." Naru remarked bitterly.

"You don't pay me at all!" I mumbled to myself. Naru walked to Masako and asked her if she felt anything. To which she replied 'I can feel a couple-but can't tell what they are' I snickered. This earned me a few curious stares from everyone. As Naru walked over to me I could see Masako glaring holes into my head. With a sigh he asked me what I knew had been itching at the back of his mind.

"What do you see?"

"There is a lot, and majority are pretty angry. What made you think you could take this case alone?" I asked a tad bit angry.

"I didn't, that's why I called you." I scoffed at him. He doesn't realize- I'm protection for them, there isn't much else I can do legally. I walked over to the van and grabbed for a bottom box. As I pulled it and the four boxes on top came with I got good yelling from Ayako.

"What are you insane?! You grab from the top! NOT the bottom, ya dumb demon." I lifted the four boxes with ease and with a slight smirk responded.

"You were saying?" I had to bite my tongue from adding a 'old-hag' at the end. And what was with the whole 'dumb-demon' comment. I don't think they realize just how intelligent I am.

As I walked into the building I got a strange feeling, but focused on my better judgment and chose to ignore it. The inside was beautiful, tall cielings, with marble floors and a tall long staircase that led upstairs. But it was almost completely empty, no paintings, no people that's for sure, and no dust. No dust? It looks like people haven't been here for years? How can there be no dust? I carried the equipment into the base. And then was directed by Mai as to where my room was.

I quickly finished unpacking and walked to the base. Everyone was there looking at me impatiently.

"Right, now that everyone is here I will explain the case. The couple that bought the property didn't know the mansion existed. About a month ago they were following a trail when they saw the house, of course they went to investigate. They have cleaned up the place a bit but after about a week strange things started happening. Poltergeists, unexplainable sounds, writing on the walls, two people have gone missing while working on cleaning the house, and lastly possession of their animals." Naru stated monotonously. As he named the last happening my eyes shot up and everyone else seemed confused.

"Animals being possessed? Isn't that kind of rare? It also seem sort of pointless." Ayako questioned. I didn't want Naru to say the snarky comment that was brewing in his mind so I spoke up.

"Although it is rare, it isn't unheard of. The thing is, it is much harder to posses an animal, you could say they have a better chance of fighting off the spirit, so these are strong spirits. Also a possessed animal has no control over it body when possessed, even less than a human. As a result it is much harder to exorcise them."

"Spirits? So there are multiple?" Monk look expectantly as Masako. She nodded in agreement.

"I suggest we proceed with caution, plus with the missing persons being both girls I want someone with each of you at a time. Keket as an exception." Naru barked.

"What? Why? Isn't that dangerous!" John asked with a hint of concern in his voice.

"One reason Keket is here is so she can protect us, there is no doubt in my mind she can protect herself also." I swelled with pride at Naru's words. I smiled slightly.

"So what is the other reason I'm here?"

"Whose to say I didn't just call you here because we haven't seen each other in awhile?" What?

"Is the great Oliver Davis admitting that he missed me?"

"Of course not, I'm just pointing out that you have no clue whether or not I have ulterior motives." Ulterior motives? Really Oli? I huffed in acceptance.

"Now Miss. Hara, Miss. Matsuzaki, and Takigawa please go take a walk through. Yasu go into to town to do some research- see what you can find out about the building. John go with Mai and round up the people we want to interview. Keket, go make sure all the cameras are set up these last two cameras. Here is a map- the two rooms marked with the blue need the cameras. Now go." Naru ordered. I mock saluted and saw Mai copy my actions out of the corner of my eye. I smiled lightly at her, she gave me an uneasy smile before walking out of the room with John.

I left to set up the cameras in said rooms. When I arrived in the second room I felt the temperature drop drastically. An involuntary shiver ran through my body. I quickly set up the camera and was ready to leave when the door opened. I was ready to tell whoever it was that I was just leaving when I realized it was Masako, Ayako, and Monk. I moved so they could walk in and watched as Masako stood for a second with her eyes closed. She focused and looked to the other two.

"There is something here, I can't tell what it is or its gender, but it doesn't feel threatening." Masako said from behind her kimono sleeve. Monk sighed.

"That's good, it seems what you said wasn't true after all." The jab at my skills had a tick forming on my head.

"Last time I checked I said nothing about whether or not they are angry, I simply said they are most likely strong. So I wonder are you hallucinating? If you are ill you really shouldn't be here." I said lowly. Ayako slowly started to giggle. She was barely hiding the fact that she was laughing.

"You know I may not like what you are, but anyone who insults monk that well is someone I wouldn't mind getting to know." Ayako chuckled. I smiled kindly, at least she is getting used to me. I nodded to them with a slight goodbye before leaving the room and walking back to base. When I entered a man was sitting on the couch being questioned. I stood next to Oliver and the man didn't bring his head up once. His black suit told me that he was butler of some sort. When he finished with the questions he looked up and his eyes widened when he say me.

"Y-y-y-you!" Mai, John, and Naru were giving me curious stares. Lin didn't seem to have noticed.

"What about me?" The man stood up abruptly and grabbed my hand. I didn't feel threatened so I let him drag me out the room and down the hall. The rest of the team following. He stopped outside a room with a dark blue door. As he pushed it open light flooded the hallway. The room had large windows covering one wall, a bookshelf on another wall, and a huge portrait on the last wall. We walked over to the painting, I was bit shocked. Mai and John gasped before saying.

"Y-You look exactly like her!" I couldn't deny it, she was the spitting image of me. Although it irked me a little I didn't show it.

"May I take it down?" I asked politely. The butler nodded with wide eyes.

"Do you require assistance? I doubt that it is a very light weight object." I responded with a simple 'no need' before taking down the painting. I turned it over looking for a year on the back. When my eyes spotted the number I sighed in relief.

"Painted before I was born, which means 1) this isn't me and 2) We have a starting point for some research. Naru tell Lin to see if anything happened here around or after 1946." I replied calmly. I sat the painting against the wall before walking back to the base with the rest of the team. When Masako, Ayako, and Monk walked back in we filled them in on the painting. It looks like the case is just starting.

Two hours later

Just as I was about to sit down I heard a familiar voice ring through the halls. I sighed as he burst through the doors. Always so dramatic. I giggled as Naru and Lin proceeded to hit their heads against the nearest wall. God, they did always get so very annoyed when he appeared. I was about to speak when the tall child grabbed me by my shoulders and protectively put me behind me. I sighed before he started his little 'speech.'

"What are you doing with Keka-chan? Huh? Why is she here? Who are you? TELL ME PLE-Oh hello Oliver, Lin." I hit him over the head with a tea cup (Mai had set it down before me) before glaring at him.

"Naru, care to introduce our dear friend here?" I said with anger resonating in my voice.

"Yes okay, everyone this is Mayacana Akita. Call him Aki." Naru said with a voice that sounded so incredibly done someone would wonder why exactly he hated said 'Aki' so much.

"Now Aki, I suggest you stop hugging Keket before I do something I will regret." Lin said in a dangerous tone.

"Since when does Lin make threats?" Mai said to try and lighten the mood, it was obvious that what Lin had said scared the shit out of everyone. Which wasn't exactly new for me.

"Aki... . . Are you doing here?" I stated lowly. The group looked at me astonished. I'm guessing swearing wasn't exactly the most normal thing for them. Ah well, like I give a shit. I'm just pissed that he showed up without my permission.

"Well, you see I was just worried about you I guess. You never get that far away from me without warning me first." He finished nervously.

"How did you get permission to come to japan, Sora barely let me leave as it is." I really don't want to deal with you. I already have to withstand Oliver, I don't need you too.

"Oh, well he heard you were in japan and knew that Oliver must have been here too so he sent me to make sure you don't elope again!" God he makes it sound like we actually got married.

"E-ELOPE?" The group yelled in shock. Lin stood there laughing slightly, he knew what had actually happened. Oli was scowling- he hated when people brought that up.

"So... um... we were eight? I mean I know Sora can get jealous but are kidding me? He knows that I never truly liked Oli, right?' I spoke incredulously. The group sighed in relief.

"What? You didn't actually think that we go married did you?" I chuckled lightly. Humans are so stupid.

"Anyway- Aki-kun we are working. I suggest you leave, Keket will be just fine in our care." suggest? We both know that's not a suggestion, that is an order.

"Hai! Will do, but one more thing before I leave." I scowled, I knew exactly what he was gonna do. Aki walked up to Lin, and did the unspeakable. He kissed him, on the lips.

"What? Oh come on Lin, you didn't really think I would give up on you did you?" Aki teased. Lin had the same response as always. With a pat on Aki's head he said the cold phrase with a fake little smile.

"No of course not, just hoping you would. We both know it will never happen." Monk and Yasu were barely holding in their laughter. Ayako, Masako, and John still attempting to get over their shock. I looked at the group when it dawned on me.

"Naru?"

"Yes?"

"Where is Mai?"

"Getting Tea."

"Alone?" That seemed to get his attention.

Everyone's attention turned to our conversation. I sprung up ready to go meet her when a scream stopped me in my tracks. For a split second I was still, then I was off running.
