Chapter 3- New Arrivals
"I'm here! I'm here! I'm here!" I yell as I rush in, starting to take off neon green gingham high-tops with my pink and yellow circles over-knee socks, my brown shearling mittens my black and white bow-front striped dress with my pink striped hooded cable-kit coat, starting to change into the outfit that Ellery left out for me.
"Woah! Man here!" says a deep voice and I quickly turn around to see Danny trying to cover his eyes with his hands. He was still in the St. Smith's Academy uniform and it gave me a shock. I tried to cover my body with my pink striped hooded cable-kit coat and scream.
"What are you doing here!" I yell.
"I hired him today," explains Ellery as she starts sorting through the clothes.
"And you were going to tell me this when!" I yell, angry at being peeped on.
"Right now is a good time," says Ellery as she switches one of the clothes in my locker with the one she took off the hanger.
"That's not what I meant!" I yell.
"I'll be leaving now..." says Danny as he backs away. It looked like there was a blush on his face. At least he knew bounderies.
"Why don't you change in there," says Ellery as she points to a room that was unoccupied. "I'll be with you in a second. And Shea, get changed!"
"Y-yes ma'am," I say, a little shaken up by this experience.
"And get over yourself because this is the employee room... you will just have to deal with changing with Danny from now on!" scolds Ellery. My face gets bright red thinking about us in such close qarters and I start to fidget. What could she be thinking! Doing this to us! Who was she exactly! Well... it wasn't like I could complain or anything really so I just take a deep breath and try to mentally prepare myself for the up and coming weeks... I then let out an exhaul and look at the clothes in front of me. The first was a red gingham bra from Mint Sprinkles with a white neck-ribbon blouse from Marble Lily and over that was a red, black, and white striped blazer from Harlow Heights. I paired it with a black striped-hem flared skirt from Zip Line and black gloves from Raven Candle. For my head I was able to have a black gift-bow mini top hat from Marble Lily, black striped houdstooth tights from PopQuiz and black cuffed ankle boots from Cantata Modo. In my head I realized that the total was over $700 which I seemed to be amun to the prices now a days. I search for Ellery only to find Danny as he took off his shirt. He was already in whit pinstriped pants from Catellan, black striped socks from Aéronef and light blue plaid slip-ons from Aéronef. he was already pulling a tan tank top from über cloth.
"What are you doing here?" asks Danny as he notices me. He was holding a blue patterened Long-Sleeve fitted te from Dept. 9 in his hands, about to put it on.
"I'm so sorry!" I say as I look down and try to get out of there are fast as I could. I stood outside of the room with a giant blush on my face, waiting for him to come out and apologize. He came out dressed in a gold houndstooth jacket from Castellan and brown square-frame fake glasses from Aéronef. His face was completely red also, trying not to look at me.
"You know... I didn't peek at you... the least you could do was not peek at me..." says Danny, not looking at me.
"I want to say that I'm sorry!" I say quickly as I push off the wall and run towards the front where Ellery is.
"Oh! Shea~!" says Ellery excitedly as she sees me. "Why is your face so red?"
"Huh!? Is it?" I ask as I put my hands to my face and try to feel it. It was indeed very warm, which only made me blush even more...
"I'm sorry," I say simply as I look down at the ground to try and hide my face.
"Don't worry about it," says Ellery with a smile. "We all have those days~!"
The bell rings and we both look at the door, both of us have giant smiles on our faces as we say, "Welcome to Lucky Star!"
A gorgeous boy with amazing light brown hair with gray eyes walks in and looks around the shop. I noticed that he was wearing the St. Smith's light blue and white plaid blazer.
"Can I help you?" asks Ellery as she looks up at him with big eyes.
"Yes, I'm looking for a top... what would you suggest for me. Something with luxury," says the boy as he looks down at her, both literally and figuratively.
"Come right this way~!" says Ellery with a cheerful smile as she leads him towards the changing room, there was already a shirt in her hands. I start fiddling with some things to wait for her when Danny walks up to me.
"Oh..." he simply says. I look up at him and my face instantly gets red from the memory of what just occured.
"D-Danny!" I say in shock. "W-wh-what...?"
"I work here, remember," says Danny as he starts to fold the merchendise.
"R-right," I say, starting to fidget again.
"Ring this up for me!" says the boy from before as he slams down the shirt on the desk with an air of arrogance. I already don't like him
"And who might you be?" I ask as I look for his membership card to punch a hole in it.
"Gordon?" says Danny to my surprise.
"What are you doing here?" asks Gordon as he looks Danny up and down with a mocking air. "Can't get by on a sports scholorship anymore? Have to earn your tution now eh?"
"Ah! It's right here!" I say as I try to divert the attention away from... what every THAT was. But my efforts were of no effect because the two continue talking between each other. Well, it was more like arguing really.
"What's going on here?" asks Ellery as she walks in front and gives a slight glare before she turns back with a smile to Gordon.
"Just a school mate," growls Danny.
"Just a school mate? Ha! As if!" says Gordon which starts that arguement up again. The bell dings and I frantically look between the beautiful, platinum blonde female customer and my boss, who was trying to smooth over this arguement.
"Um.. ah... Ellery... Ellery!" I say as I try to get her attention with no avail.
"Can I get some help over here?" asks the customer who I learned was named Charlie by her card.
"Um... Well..." I mutter, trying to make up my mind. I could see her slowly making her way back to the door and blurted out, "I'll help you!"
"And who are you?" asks Charlie as she looks over my shoulder to see Ellery with the boys.
"I'm Shea, I'm an assistant for Ellery," I explain with a sweet smile. "Good morning."
"Good morning," says Charlie as she looks over at Ellery again and realizes why she got me instead of the store manager. She then looks me up and down and comments, "You're wearing a really amazing outfit. I would really love a luxury outfit... do you think you could do that for me? You really can't beat quality-brand items. You have good taste! Maybe you could put together an outfit for me?"
"A-a-a WHOLE outfit?" I ask as I start to get really nervous now.
"Yeah, can you do that?" asks Charlie as she crosses her arms and makes a sour face.
"No problem~!" I say, a little worried but put a brilliant smile on my face so she wouldn't see that I was freaking out. I start to walk around the shop and look at all the items, sweat plastered on my face. I take a deep breath and start with a black sequined tank top from Zhade with a light blue square-neck minidress from Zhade, a wide serpentine chain from Cantata Modo and to top it off I give her tan cuffed ankle boots which were also from Cantata Modo. I look it over, my stomach doing summer-saults and I take in a deep breath before I look at her.
"Take a look~!" I say with a sweet smile.
"This outfit looks quite mature. I think it will look great on me!" says Charlie excited. "I'll go try it on!"
She walks into the changing room and Ellery comes up to me. "What are you thinking!" hisses Ellery. "She was one of our main suppliers! Did you see her wallet? It's huge!"
"I'm sorry!" I say as tears grow into my eyes. "I didn't want to lose a customer! Every customer counts~~! I didn't want her to leave without being satisfied~~!"
"Superb! You must have read my mind!" says Charlie as she steps out and twirls around. "It matches everything I hoped for, down to the very last detail! I have to buy it."
"Really?" asks me and Ellery at the same time as we look at her funny.
"Of course!" says Charlie
"T-then come this way," I say as I usher her towards the cashregistar and ring up her total. "That would be, WHAT $1,360.00!" I say as my eyes buldge out of their sockets.
"Oh, is that all?" asks Charlie a she ruffles through her wallet.. "You guys really save me a lot of money~! I'll ask for you the next time I come here!"
"T-thank you!" I say with a giant smile. This was my first successful outfit sale! And first customer! As she walks out I remember to say, "Oh! And Thank you for choosing Lucky Star Charlie!"
"Don't mention it!" says Charlie with a happy wave of her hand.
"Congradulation," says Ellery with a laugh as she gives me a big hug. "I guess this makes you an official stylist in our boutique~!"
I look at the money I just finished selling and a happy smile grows on my face. "You think so?" I ask happily.
"Of course~!" Says Ellery as she ruffles my hair. "I'm glad I have a little squirt like you to help me out!"
