Imaging and questioning what she could have done at each and every point in their relationship had become Hanna's new favorite pass time in the last few months.

Hanna was still hanging off the counter, it was mid afternoon. Caleb had come early morning to pick up the baby for a day out. Though it was hard seeing him Hanna was grateful because it allowed her to have her breakdown in peace.

Soon after taking a large healing breathe, Hanna heard the door open followed by chatter and small giggles. Wiping her face and putting on a smile, Hanna left towards the front door.

"Mama." Stella squealed and giggled from her fathers arms. Caleb let the toddler down promptly, and she ran towards Hanna.

"Hey baby." Hanna smiled as she picked up her baby and showered her in kisses. "Did you have a good day?"

Caleb still stood in the doorway. One of his favorite things was watching his wife and daughter bond, they looked most beautiful when they were together and smiling, and now he was losing that. He was losing the only thing that mattered.

"Here's her bag." She spelt some milk on herself at lunch so I had to change her into the other shirt." Caleb explained awkwardly as he dropped the diaper bag on the ground.

Being separated was very new to both of them, ever since they'd met they'd never been apart for longer than week and even then they talked everyday. Now they shared glances between child swaps and its was dreadful.

Caleb was still standing in the doorway, he didn't want to leave, he had had so much fun with Stella all day and he missed the times when he could she her regretted that he took that for granted.

"Can,can I talk to you?' Caleb question timidly

"Um ya,sure,I was just about to start on dinner so in the kitchen?"

"Ok." Caleb nodded following her

Hanna quickly placed Stella down to play and then she went to take out items from the fridge.

"Ok um are you ok?" Caleb question after sitting at the bar stool

She hated that question,Yes absolutely she was OK, her marriage had and was failing apart, she didn't know how to raise a child by self, she was halfway across the country from everyone she really knew and she had cried practically everyday for the last 7 months.

"Caleb don't start, say what you really want to say." Hanna responded teeth gritted biting back tears.

That response, she made her so mad sometimes, this dumb wall she felt she had to up. He knew what she was going through and no matter what she thought he loved her too much to let her be alone during this time.

He knew better than to argue with her and force a response to his first question. "Fine, I wanted to know if we could set up a regular schedule for me to see Stella. I've only seen her twice since I've been out and I don't think that's enough."

"OK,so..." Hanna eluded

" So I thought about it and maybe I pick her up from daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays and drop her off here, and have her stay with me every other weekend."

"I dunno Caleb that's a lot to change." Hanna responded.

"Well there's a lot of change happening right now and we kind off have to go with it." Caleb was beginning to get angry all he wanted was his daughter and all she wanted, all she ever wanted was to fight him.

"Yes but Caleb shes one, she needs to be with me and on the weekends where would she sleep." She knew he loved Stella as much as she did,but the thought of him taking her baby away, the only right thing shed ever done in her life hurt her so much.

"But she needs me too Han,and as for the sleeping i'll figure it out." Caleb argued.

"Caleb shes a child a living breathing human being, you cant just figure it out late,I need to know where my child is going to be and if shes taken care of." Hanna responded aggravatingly.

"Do you think I would intentionally try to harm our child?"Caleb asked, much to Hanna's dismay, she wasn't "their" child when he spent hours on hours working and coming home let only to leave early again, without a kiss or a bye to either his wife nor daughter.

"You know what This is turning into another unnecessary argument and I don't want to do this?" Hanna reviled as he saw Stella's Huge brown orbs looking at him from her play pen.

"No you know what you don't get to decide how this ends. You asked for the divorce and I'm trying to work with you without making this messing but apparently we aren't and were never on the same page." Caleb argued, clearly angry and oblivious to the small child behind him.

It was always her fault "How do you always manage to blame me,you didn't once try to fight the divorce." Hanna said holding back tears.

" You know why, because I give you all you want and the few times I want something it ruins us. You know what I'm done,we are both too upset to get to a resolution Ill text you next weekend." With that he kissed Stella goodbye and left.

As the door shut both Hanna and Caleb sighed, and reminisced on a time their arguments were sweet flirtatious banter and everything was brand new and sweet.
