Chapter 2

"Hey Shou-Shou!" She heard the two brothers, Candyman and Neo call her name.

"Hmm?" She twitched an ear.

"Is it true that you killed Spade? You know he is part of Otis's family, he might shred you if he takes it the wrong way you know," Neo mewed.

Shou-Shou felt her jaw drop, she knew Spade, Ace, King, Queen, and Joker were all Otis's kits, but she never knew that she wasn't supposed to kill them! After all, being part of the Guardians of Blood requires you to kill so you can defend the territory at any time.

"Well I did kill him, and for that I should recieve the highest honor since he was part of a royal family," Shou-Shou hissed. "I'll kill you to as well if I have to," She felt her hackles rise.

But their gazes remained calm.

"Thats what we like to hear," Candyman narrowed his eyes before padding away.

"I call a meeting upon First Star Guardians, of all ranks, Instructors, and Guardians!" Panzer's yowl filled the Twolegplace.

Shou-Shou shivered, this is my punishment now isn't it? She caught a glimpse of Otis, his tail lashing, she took a deep breath before padding under the tower to hear Panzer.

"Shou Shou," His growl made her breath quicken.

"Yes, Panzer?" Shou Shou's mew quivered.

"Is it true that you killed Spade?" He demanded.

"Yes, yes it is," Shou Shou hung her head dreadfully.

"You new you weren't allowed to do that! Especially since he was part of Otis's family!" Panzer bared his teeth.

"But they were going to kill me! Zorra said that one of us would be killed to honor the rest, and I won! It was a fair game, no judging that," Shou Shou shot back.

"She has a point," Blitz mewed.

Shoou shou felt her heart soar, there were cats that accepted her!
"And she did preform the killing bite without teaching!" King called.

Shou Shou purred, even the brother of Spade accepted her.

"She killed my kit in cold blood!" Otis snapped.

"No, I asked the apprentices to kill, Spade, Ace, and Terror, I asked them to kill Shou Shou, I never knew she would actually be able to kill them," Zorra shakily mewed.

"In that case, let Shou Shou prove her honor," Panzer began to purr.

"Miko, come here," Panzer beckoned.

The grey tabby tom flinched before padding up to them.

"Let us have a match, to see which one is capable of winning," Panzer mewed.

"But Miko is a hunter!" cried Midi.

"And if Shou shou wins, she will fight a fighter, and if she wins both matches, she may go unpunished, if they win, well, Shou Shou is punished with death," Panzer flicked his tail to Smokey, the Healing instructor, he stepped beside Miko and clawed an 'X' into his pelt, Miko gritted his teeth, then he came over to Shou Shou and marked her pelt with a 'Z'.

"You both have been marked, X is for the opponent, and Z if for the challenger," Smokey dipped his head before stepping back into the shadows, Shou Shou caught a sight of her mother, and Pixel, and her two Brothers, Bozo, and Pook, their eyes shown with deadly amusement.

"Begin!" Otis howled.

Shou Shou could no long feel the strange energy that flowed through her veins, she began to panic unsure of what to do, but she remembered the last match and she blazed her gold eyes. With unsheathed claws, she leaped at Miko, the rolled away with ease, he then leaped ontop of her, pinning Shou Shou to the cold concrete floor.

Shou Shou's eyes lit upp and she remember the last move, just as Miko was about to snap his jaws around her neck, she dug her hind claws in his belly, making his yelp and stagger away.

While he was distracted, Shou Shou reared up near him and slashed his eyes, he screeched as blood flowed into his eyes, and while he was blinded, Shou Shou snapped her jaws around his neck, leaving him screeching and yowling in pain.

"Arn't we going to help him?" Kiona, a first star Healer was watching the Guardian howl in pain.

"In matches, no," Smokey mewed.

Finally, after a moment of yowling, Miko stilled, and his breathing stopped.

"Shou Shou has won the first round!" There was a hint of pride and surprise in Panzer's eyes

"Next up! Caspar!" Otis called, his gaze was still narrowed.

The white tom slid out from the crowd of cats, his white paws thudding the ground, Shou Shou felt a glint of fear until she felt the engery flowing again, it was weaker than the round where she killed Spade, but it was there, she felt confidence in her legs.

Smokey walked to Caspar and marked an X with his claws, Shou Shou realized that the white tom had four X's and five Z's in his fur, Shou Shou winced as Smokey marked her fur with a Z.

"Begin!" Panzer yowled.

Immediatly Caspar roared and threw himself onto the small fighter, claws piercing her pelt.

You can do it, A voice mewed, smooth like the wind.

I can do it Shou Shou thought, before she yowled as the tom raked her pelt with thorn sharp claws, she hissed and reared back, hoping to blind him again with her eye rake, but he had been watching, and dodged with ease.

I'll have to try something new, Shou Shou thought

She used her small size, and circled Caspar at a quick pace, at this, cats began to laugh at her until she threw herself onto his back, and kept her claws deep in his pelt, she raked his spine.

"Get off me!" Hissed Caspar as he fell ackwards, and Shou Shou got crushed by his body.

She felt his claws all over her, and they were piercing her chest, blood sprayed on her grey fur.

What should I do? She was breathing faster now as she searched for an idea, suddenly she went limp, Caspar stepped back with glee.

"Caspar has won!" Otis called, but as he said that, Shou Shou leaped up and slashed the tom's neck, his eyes lit up in surprise before he dropped dead.

Otis's jaw dropped, the Guardians stared in horror.

"Shou Shou has killed one of our best fighters, I want her in the training test," Panzer flicked his tail to Zorra.

"Yes, Panzer," He dipped his head, cats were staring at Shou Shou, they dipped their heads to her as well, Roadie and Ace shivered back.

"This doesn't feel right," Shou Shou murmured to Zorra as they headed out.

"What?" He flickedd his gaze to her.

"I mean, killing each other, doesn't it feel wrong to you?" She gazed at him, searchinh his thoughts carefully.

"No, I love killing, it makes me feel alive, that is why I volunteered to become and instructor so I could pass these skills onto new Guardians, he strode ahead of her, leaving Shou Shou to catch up
