Chapter 3: Karel is alive
Lara closes the door behind her as Kurtis took a seat by her desk. She walked pasted and sat on the other side of the desk. Before Kurtis could talk Lara started first.
"Kurtis I know why you're here and I will help, I'm not gonna let Karel get away this time." Lara said.
"Wait what his still alive I thought you killed him?" Kurtis said in shock.
"I thought that's why your here for?" Lara asked "Wait, why are you here?"
"I wanted to tell you that I owe you for saving me but if Karel is still out there then this war is far from over." Kurtis said standing up. "Then you know about Lindie"
"Yes I know, she didn't have a choice to show me she has powers. After what happened in Egypt" Lara answered looking at him as he looked out the window.
"So you know that we know each other" Kurtis said.
"No I didn't" Lara said
"Oh yeah we grew up together, I'm the reason she has powers." Kurtis answered
"You gave her powers, how?" Lara asked as Kurtis turned around
"The LV can transfer powers to someone else and that we don't lose the powers we just gain it again."
"Why?" Lara asked
"Karel found me the one day and saw my weakness, my best friend. He kidnapped her and he forest me to come out of my hideout. When I saw her in his hands so scared, I transferred my powers to her and together we got away, I was only 15 at the time."
"Oh I see, I'm sorry about that." Lara said picking up the phone "Winston, please send up Lindie."
"Yes malady." Winston said
"And bring some coffee please it's gonna be a long night." She said
"Of course malady." He said and places the phone down.
Lara and Kurtis talked about Paris and Prague when Lindie came in and she joined a seat next to Kurtis.
"Ok I'm here, now what's going on?" Lindie asked
"I called you both here because we will need the last two LV to destroy Karel." Lara said
"What, no I can't. He almost killed me last time." Lindie said getting up.
"Lindie we don't have a choice, this is my fault you're in this but if we don't stop Karel he will win and then we all are doomed." Kurtis answered
"Fine, Karel has to pay for my sister's death." Lindie said in anger.
"We found out few days ago Karel killed her sister for info about you two" Lara said.
Winston came in with a tray and placed it on the table and left again, everyone took a cup of coffee and sip
"So what's the plan?" Kurtis asked
"Karel is looking for the last sleeper and its buried in Turkey, I contacted a friend whose dig it is where the sleeper is located." Lara answered
"We need to get to it first before Karel and then we need to find an artefact called the Incan Gold cup. This artefact has been lost since the 16th century and if Karel finds it, he can make any women he choice his wife and if she drinks from the cup she will became immortal and then Karel will make her pregnant to carry his child, another Nephilim." Lindie went on.
"So where is this Incan cup?" Kurtis asked looking at a photo Lara handed to him.
"We don't know yet but its last location before it disappeared was with the last Amazonian." Lindie answered
"The last Amazonian died somewhere in Africa." Lara said and handed Kurtis a book on the last Amazonian.
They were quite for a long time, Kurtis read the book in silence, Lindie is on the phone and Lara went down to the tech room to ask Zip to book a flight to Turkey.
