Hey guys.

My computer has again made some problems so I couldn't get on fanfiction for a long time.
Wow, it was a nightmare! Well, this chapter is my longest chapter for the time being. I'm just getting better and better… I hope so. I'm still not good so at English…

But uhm... read and enjoy!

I do not own Kung Fu Panda

Chapter 3 - the letter

"Good morning Master Shifu."

The Furious Five greeted the red panda in the morning. But Po's snoring continued and Master Shifu raised his voice.

"Po!" Po's snoring stopped. Right after they could hear a lot of noise and Po tumbled out of the door.

"I'm sorry Master Shifu!" He rose from his position while having a fight with holding a yawn back.

Master Shifu looked irritated at Po.

"Next time I'll prefer that you wake to the time," he said and looked at the other students.

"My training has always been uniform. It hasn't bothered me because it has been very effective," he said.

And the master was right. Tigress couldn't have been that strong and powerful without his training. But now she was weak. Could it be Master Shifus training? Tigress didn't know.

"But in the next few weeks I will try not to teach at the same way that I'm used to," he continued.

Tigress was a little suspicious. What was the master up to?

"And so I know that you will be taught another way I will not be the one to lecture you."

The people went even more exited but Tigress was just nervous. The tiger didn't like the idea that Master Shifu wouldn't be the one teaching them.

"Another master will," Master Shifu said, "Last night I wrote a letter to Master Proelio."

Po was smiling so much that his cheeks hid his green eyes.

"Master Proelio? The Master Proelio? The youngest man ever to be a master of the tiger-style?" the fat panda cheered.

Master Shifu didn't notice The Dragon Warrior's many questions but looked at Tigress glance.

"Is there anything you want to say?" he asked the Tiger.

Unlike the others Tigress went angry. How could Master Shifu do this to her? Did he think she was weak too? The thought made her gloomy.

"I don't find this idea necessary," she answered without showing any feelings, "Master Proelio is probably very busy right in the time. He'll say no without even considering it."

"But Tigress," Viper said, "I don't think he will say no. He might even look forward to see Master Shifu again."

"We haven't met before." Master Shifu words made a little hope grow in Tigress.

"Then he won't say yes," Tigress said quickly and hoped that it was true.

Master Shifu looked inquiring at the feline but didn't mention her strange behavior.

"Let us wait and see what he'll answer," he said and changed the subject, "The time is running from us so let's begin the training."

It seemed to be a hot summer and the sun continued shining. While the others were fighting against each other Tigress fought the dummy. She hit it as hard as she could but it didn't move. It seemed like the dummy won. The tiger sighed and sat on a huge rock. Why couldn't she do anything now?

Again she thought of Master Proelio. What if he said yes? What would happen then? The only thing she actually could do was hoping for the best. Tigress still couldn't believe that Master Shifu wrote that letter. She had a suspicion that there wasn't anything wrong with the master's training. It was her something was wrong with. And that's why Master Shifu wrote the letter. He wanted to help her. But she didn't need any help! She just needed some time.

"You know what you want not what you need."

The words came through her thoughts. But she didn't want to give Master Shifu right. He wasn't right. She didn't need help…

A bird came flying through the air. It was white and was as small as a clenched fist. In its beak it held a letter. Tigress went anxious and stood up. The bird landed on the tigers shoulder. She took the letter from it and the bird flew away again. Tigress didn't look at the bird while it flew away. Her eyes were on the letter. She didn't read it. She didn't dare to read it.

"He will say no," she mumbled and took a deep breath while she opened the letter and started reading it.

Master Shifu.

I'm glad that you think I'm the one that shall help your students with their training and I hope that you'll find my methods effectual and useful. I would love helping you and I will come as soon as possible. I am looking forward to see you and Master Tigress. It will be very interesting teaching her. Thanks.

Master Proelio.

Tigress was stunned. While she was looking at his signature all kind of thoughts went through her head. What if he also thought she was weak? In the letter he wrote that it would be very interesting teaching her. Had Master Shifu told him that Tigress had problems with her training? She hoped not. If Master Shifu really had told him then Master Proelio probably would treat her like she was pathetic.

But you are… The thought just came into her mind. It made the tiger feel ill.

Monkey came running into the training hall. He was panting and had possibly been fighting something else than his friends.

"Come Tigress, there's some trouble in the town," he said.

Tigress took one steep but stopped. How could she handle some bandits if she couldn't even handle the dummy? She hesitated.

Monkey stared at her. Tigress never used to say no to a fight.

"What's wrong Tigress?" He asked carefully.

"Nothing," Tigress just answered but inside she was panicking.
