Chapter 3
In special cases, the prison would allow the prisoners visitation. Usually, the kinds of criminals that ended up in Konoha's Correctional Facility didn't have anyone on the outside that wanted to remember they existed, much less visit them. Haruno Sakura was different.
The warden had always felt that Haruno didn't belong. She was quiet, respectful, and, at least when she first arrived, young and beautiful. He'd had to harden himself against her, and remind himself of her crimes. He'd seen the aftermath himself, and vowed not to ever let her get his guard down. He didn't want to end up like that Uchiha boy.
The Jinchuriki, Uzamaki, evidently couldn't be convinced of the truth about his former teammate, because he hadn't stopped submitting visistation requests since she'd been admitted two month ago. A few weeks ago, she'd become unresponsive, and had to be force fed every day. The girl may be a monster, but for some reason he just couldn't let her waste away. He'd granted the Jinchuriki's request yesterday.

Naruto had steeled himself for what he'd see inside the Correction Facility. He'd seen the outside as a child, and he'd grown up with stories about the murders and missing nin that ended up in there. He'd half expected to end up here himself one day.
It wasn't hard to face the harsh treatment, the stripdown, the questions and the accusations and everything else required in order to enter the facility. It wasn't hard to walk past the twisted, sadistic faces of the prisoners or ignore the blistering heat. But it was hard to see Sakura, his friend and his teammate, sitting listlessly and sightlessly on a small cot in an iron cage.
In typical Naruto fashion, he plastered a huge smile on his face and greeted Sakura loudly, expecting at least an eye roll or shake of the head. Sakura didn't even look at him.
"Sakura-chan! I know you can hear me! Don't worry, I know you didn't do anything wrong! Kakashi-sensei knows it too, and we're gonna find out the truth!"
Sakura's brow furrowed at this, and tears started to drip silently down her face. Naruto took this as a good sign. He rattled on about the different theories they'd come up with, so excited at getting a response from her that he didn't notice her start to shake with the force of her tears.
"SHUT UP NARUTO" she screamed, and silence settled like a blanket between them.
"But..Sak-"
"I did it Naruto."
