I haven't updated this for over a year I think and I feel so bad so this is just a small chapter as I'm on holidays to show you that I'm still alive and I will get all of my current stories finished, somehow.

Damon opened his eyes and looked at the brunette beauty that is sleeping next to him, he smiled lazily at her. She looked like an angel with her white pajama shorts and a white top. Only a day ago he stopped her wedding but she slept peacefully in his arms with no worries.

His heart ached for her pain, for the pain that he caused. Deep inside he knows that he should have left her alone and let her marry her fiancée. He nearly laughed, his wife is engaged to someone else. Years ago when he and Elena just started dating she would make him watch chick flicks with her, they kind of remind him of the ugly truth that they are stuck in now.

The truth is that in seconds, minutes or hours Elena will wake up and she will remember all the problems and will have to make a choice between Damon and Stefan.

The blanket that was covering them, was kicked while Elena was sleeping and right now as Elena's leg touched his, he wished that he could feel her soft skin.

"Why are you awake?" Elena asked, her eyes still half closed.

"I can't sleep, we should get going if you still want to fix your wedding." Damon said, trying to hide the fact that saying it out loud was hurting him more than he ever thought it would.

"Damon." Elena sighed, looking at him with her brown eyes filled with worry.

"No. It's okay, I get it." He tries but Elena touches his face softly and smiles.

"Nothing is okay right now, you can't push me towards Stefan just because you want to be a good guy." She tells him and he grabs her hand that is still touching his face and removes it on the bed as he still holds it.

"He is right for you. You know that, you don't want to be stuck with a man who can't do anything himself. Believe me." He says, half smiling and she shook her head.

"Don't say that, I don't believe that and neither should you."

I hope this chapter has more than 200 words, but if it doesn't I promise to write more when I'm back from holidays.
