I don't mean to scare anyone, but last night I was having troubles breathing D Oh dear. But my mother checked me out, and I'm just fine, it was just my very rare breathing problem working up again. Usually does in the winter. Rose is all good. But she had no one to talk to so she wrote this. No one reads my poems anyway, so Rose thinks no one will worry.

Taking my breath

Through life I breathed fresh air.

My lungs are grateful that I am there.

To you it may seem fair.

But to me I give, and they betray me so.

I choke and sputter

Unable to tell the tale

To utter a word as my eyes begin to flutter

I start to pale, to lose my mind

Sure enough I will die tonight.

And no one will know, for a very long time.

But I struggle to breath, I put up a fight.

Finally I am able to breathe again.

So you see

Life is never as it seems

For one moment you can be breathing

And the other a dark screen.
