So, hopefully the chapter are getting better :) Sorry for any errors.

Chapter 2:

Tris's POV

I wake up to a pounding in my head. As my vision focuses, I look at my surroundings. White walls, a concrete floor, bright lights but no windows and one door. This is not the room I was in a little bit ago, I think to myself. I go to get up but I find myself strapped down to this bed like thing. As I wiggle, a piercing pain in my shoulder becomes worse and worse. I stop moving and that's when the memories come tumbling back to me. Surviving the death serum, getting shot, pressing the button, David's evil laugh, and then darkness. How long have I been out? Where is everybody? Where am I? As I remember everything, I think of Tobias. At that thought I start to cry. I can't believe I might not ever see him again. And then I cry harder, letting all of the tears out that I've held in for so long. The door creaks open and someone walks in. My vision blurry from all of the tears, I blink rapidly trying to stop them.

"Hello, Beatrice. It's nice to see you again" a familiar masculine voice says to me. I look up and see David standing in a lab coat with a smirk on his face.

"How long have I been out?" I ask, my voice hoarse from crying.

"About a year," he says matter of factly.

A year! I feel tears spring to my eyes but I blink them away and ask another question.

"Why does my head and shoulder still hurt then?"

"You moved around quite a lot in your comma, which means that your bullet wound wasn't able to heal,"

"Where are we?" I ask, anger slightly creeping into my voice.

"I can't tell you that Beatrice. Don't ask silly questions," he says obviously annoyed.

"Why are you doing this? Why me? Is Four okay?" I ask my voice barely reaching above a whisper on the last question.

"You're the most powerful Divergent. I need you for my experiments. There's no one else quite like you. Enough of the questions. You must be hungry. I'll send some food in for you," he says and the walks to the door. Just before he walks out he says to me, "Oh and by the way, Four should no longer be a problem." He winks and locks the door behind him.

I look down at my hands and see that the straps are no longer strapping my hands down but are cut. I walk over to one of the corners of the room and sit down. I put my face in my hands and think about what David just said. Tobias is dead. He's dead because of me! I cry harder than I have ever cried before. Why did he wink when he said that? Why is everything confusing?
