Notes:

Writing Style - This is my first attempt on writing a fanfiction, a cross-over fanfiction, and it is in English, English is not my first language, it may contain grammar errors, spellings and redundancy of word usage (because my English is limited to the stuff I read and hear from).

Universe – Nura takes place after the end of the manga (Nue is defeated), Inuyasha takes place after three years from Naraku's defeat in the anime (just a few weeks after Kagome returned), and Kamisama Kiss takes place before Tomoe's curse (from Kuromaru) activates.

Characters – A lot of characters might fall out-of-character especially from InuYasha because it's been years since I last watched that anime.

POVs – I'll mostly use the third person's point of view.

Culture/References – I'm not familiar with the Japanese culture so I might point out some wrong information (please correct me if I get something wrong ).

Other – BOLD means a word is emphasized or an onomatopoeia and ITALICS means thought and /UNDERLINED/ are author's notes.

DISCLAIMER- I do not own Nurarihyon no Mago, Kamisama Hajimemashita/Kiss, and InuYasha.

Chapter 3

"They're here!" Nanami cheerfully shouted, she heard buses arriving at the shrine grounds and immediately guessed it was the students.

"Master Tomoe! It's them!" The Will-o-the-wisps shouted too, Nanami guessed right.

The Land goddess ran to her place and waited for the students to pray.

"Tomoe?" Nanami noticed that Tomoe is inside the shrine. He usually stays outside to guard. "You usually go outside to check on the shrine grounds, oh, don't tell me you think I'm not confident with attending to their prayers? You know I already did this many times now." Nanami said with a pouted face.

"It's not that, it seems there are students who are Yokai... like that stupid tengu" Tomoe answered and adding an insult at Kurama. "I'll leave the god's job to you, just don't show yourself outside since you're a human they can see you, if you need help I'll be at the living room." Then Tomoe left Nanami with Onikiri and Kotetsu.

Then Nanami's attention got pulled by the whispers and prayers she hears, and soon realized that the shrine is already overflowing with students. Attending to their prayers and listening, Nanami sat there doing her job.

After a few more prayers...

"What's wrong Lady Nanami? You look like you're about to cry." Onikiri asked trying to comfort his Master.

"It's just that... These students' prayers..." Nanami cried.

'RIKUO'S MINE! '

'I WON'T FAIL MY MOTHER'S EXPECTATIONS!'

'CMON! GET ME A HUNK OF A MAN! GIVE ME LOVE!'

A sweat drop formed on Nanami's forehead as she heard the prayers. After every students have left the place, Nanami about to stand up, someone caught her attention, it was a male student with brown hair along with his group about to leave the shrine.

He smiled at Nanami and bowed before leaving the shrine.

"What's wrong Lady Nanami?" Onikiri asked.

"That boy smiled at me... did he see me behind the wall?"

Tomoe appeared and interrupted her "He didn't see you, those two students with him sensed us, and they must have told him. But to know where exactly you were positioned...that human boy has quite the knowledge."

Nanami stood up and dusted off her knees. Tomoe went outside, she followed too.

"Where are you going Tomoe?" Nanami asked following him.

"I'm just going to check if there aren't anything broken." Tomoe rushed towards the shrine grounds and went looking for broken items.

"THOSE BRATS! DO THEY NOT KNOW THIS LADLE IS SACRED!?" He furiously scooped up the broken ladle in the Temizuya /the fountain to cleanse one's hands and face/

Nanami just laughed.

"Master hurry!" A voice said near the stone stairs. There stood a girl with blue eyes, mixed blue and black hair, wearing the same uniform as those earlier. She was calling someone.

Another popped out, it was a boy with an upside-down-pudding-like hair, the same uniform as earlier.

The two students noticed Tomoe and Nanami. "Ano... Excuse us" the girl ran to Nanami and dragged the boy with her. "My master lost his pho-"

The girl stopped as Tomoe blocked her way. "Tomoe! She just wants to talk!" Nanami said, grabbing Tomoe's shoulder in attempt to try to move him away.

"You~" Tomoe raised his right arm towards the two students "APOLOGIZE!" pointing the broken ladle at them.

It seems the students realized what Tomoe means by his actions, seeing the broken ladle and the mess their class left, they both apologized.

The fox spirit calmed down and put away the broken ladle. Facing the female student "So what business does a yokai have here?" Tomoe noticed that they flinch at the word 'yokai'.

"Sorry for bothering you, it's nothing." The male student this time answered, he grabbed his friend and tried to pry her to go back. But the female student was stubborn.

"My master lost his phone, I was wondering if it's alright to let us look for it here." The girl said.

Tomoe knew the girl is a yokai, but seeing the boy is human and get called 'master' by a yokai is truly a rare pair.

"There is no phone here" Nanami said. "Because if there is then Tomoe here-"motioning her arms towards Tomoe "-must have already found it."

"I...see" the girl let out a soft disappointed sigh.

Then Nanami noticed the boy staring at Tomoe's fox ears. She forgot that Tomoe didn't hid his ears. "U-um, that is... Ah" she tried to make an excuse for those ears of his.

The boy noticed Nanami's reactions. He faced her "Ah, sorry for staring at your friends ears...it's just that a fox spirit I know didn't have any fox ears." His answer surprised Nanami 'this human boy must be acquainted with Yokai' she thought.

Then Nanami realized that this boy is the same student that smiled at her behind the shrine's walls.

Without them noticing, Yura and Mizuki returned carrying a jar and an incense burner, up above the air as they flew down to land.

"Nura-kun?"

All of them looked up, following where the voice came. They saw Mizuki and Yura riding a snake yokai. Yura was holding an incense jar and another jar covered with cloth.

"Yura!" Nanami gleefully greeted.

"Kekkain-san!?" The female student shouted.

Seeing as how the students knew the omniyoji girl, Nanami got curious. "Uhmm are you guys friends?"

The female student realized that they haven't introduced their selves yet.

"Ah! I'm Oikawa Tsurara" the female student said. And followed by the male student. "I'm Nura Rikuo, we're Yura-san's classmates"

"Ah pleased to meet you! I'm Nanami" Nanami held their hands in joy.

Then when Yura and Mizuki flew down to land, Mizuki accidentally elbowed the clothe covered jar , Yura tried to grab hold of it but during that, the incense slipped out of Yura's grip and both fell on the ground.

The two items broke and a huge smoke appeared and it sucked all of them.

AN: So how that's it for Chap 3! What do you think? I haven't mentioned this in the story but Rikuo doesn't wear his glasses anymore since it is after the manga.
