Sorry it's been awhile, life's been a rollercoaster. Please enjoy though.
I do not own these characters unfortunately but I'm forever grateful to J.K for creating them!
Going back in time was one of the roughest things she had ever put her body through and she had been tortured for Godric's sake. Shaking her head to get her witts about her she looked at the time turner and the year reading back to her was 1945; she had traveled 53 years back and was mentally and physically exhausted from the trip but she knew she needed to find Septimus quick and somehow blend in enough to get into the ministry and modify his memories. She didn't have access to his ancestral home because of the blood wards in place so she needed to find him at his place of employment and have him add her to the wards as a family member. There was so much she needed to do in order to cement her story and make sure it was airtight, trying to convince and fool two of the most powerful wizards she had ever met was going to either be her greatest achievement or her biggest downfall. Knowing the tasks she had to perform meant life or death gave her the push she needed to disapparate to the leaky couldron and then Floo to the ministry.
Finding Septimus proved to be easy, he was afterall the ministers advisor. Getting him alone proved to be the difficult task. It took 3 days of meticulously watching his schedule to finally find a secure opening to cunfundo him and then quickly fill in his memories with her. She tweaked every aspect of his life even the small things that were of little consequential meaning so that there would be no questions or doubts that she was always apart of his life and his daughter. It took her almost two hours of medaling in his mind to fully add everything but once she was done she had full access to his bank, house and anything else with a blood ward; she had to imperio him to fill out the proper documentation to legitimize everything but once she was done and Septimus' eyes cleared from the cloudy state of her spell he gave her a warm smile that only a proud father could give their child and welcomed her into his arms. From there it was easy to slip him a poison that gave him all the symptoms of dragon pox. She was able to modify the memories of his house elves while he was sick in bed and unable to keep an eye on her. The whole house was convinced that he had dragon pox and that he kept it a secret, taking the cure 7 years ago and telling no one but when the cure finally wore off and he was fully suffering the consequences of this disease is when he decided to branch out to other family members and tell them of his illness and his halfbreed daughter.
The funeral is where Hermione officially met and started a stilted friendship with Abraxas Malfoy who was also her age and a Slytherin in his last years of schooling. He seemed curious and slightly unconvinced of the situation but by the end of the funeral Hermione had him and majority of the family believing her lies. She somehow got Abraxas to be the one to "talk her into" going to Hogwarts to finish her education. He argued that family should stick together and that Malfoy's always stood by one another. Thats how a week later she was opening her acceptance letter from Headmaster Dippet to complete her final year at Hogwarts. He requested she come to the school in a few days so that she could be tested and placed into her classes as well as sorted into a house. Writing out a quick thank you and agreeing to show up at the school in a few days she couldn't help but smirk that her hard work had actually paid off and that she was a step closer to attaining her goals. Riddle and Dumbledore didn't have a clue of what they were about to be in for but she couldn't wait to change everything or die trying.
That's all for now. This was just a fill in chapter on how she was able to situate herself into this timeline and get into Hogwarts. The actual story line will start in the next chapter!
