Hannibal's curiosity is becoming a problem. Bedelia has lately had to be quite firm in keeping him at arm's length. There are things a patient should not know about his doctor, even if they are colleagues.

But it's not just her. His interest in Will Graham is bordering on the obsessive, and can't be healthy for either of them. She has already told him, in plain English, to stop, but he will not.

She believes she can contain the damage Hannibal's curiosity might do to Graham, if not to Hannibal. She is increasingly positive she cannot protect him from herself.
