Sherlock narrowed his eyes at the two people in front of him.

"What do you want?" He asked lowly. Anderson turned to John.

"I see you have a friend. I'm surprised; who'd want to hang around with a freak?"

Sally noticed John too, "What's your name then?" She demanded. John smiled and waved, unaware of the situation.

Sally raised her eyebrow, and Anderson sniggered, "Are you retarded or something? Answer me!" Sally demanded.

John just sat and smiled. Anderson suddenly leapt forward, and grabbed his collar, "Answer her freak!"

Sherlock stood up sharply, and grabbed Anderson, "Stay away from him, he isn't retarded, he's deaf," He growled.

Sally's eyes widened and she burst out laughing, Anderson smirked, and stepped away from Sherlock.

"Deaf? So you can't find anyone normal enough to hang about with you? Freak," Sally said, and she turned on her heels and stormed away.

Anderson stared at Sherlock, then to Sally who was walking away.

"Get lost," Sherlock told him.

"You better watch your back," Anderson warned, he turned and glared at John, who was sitting with a confused look on his face.

Anderson left. Sherlock watched him leave, before sitting back down.

What did they say? John signed.

Sherlock ignored John, he sat in anger.

Sherlock, what did they say?

Sherlock looked away. John leaned across the table, and grabbed his wrist. He stared at Sherlock long and hard. Sherlock pulled back. Sherlock signed to John:

Go away. I didn't even want to be your friend.

Sherlock grabbed his bag, and marched off, ignoring the look of hurt and surprise on John's face as he was left sitting at the table on his own.

A/N: I'm not that happy with the chapter. I kept re-writing it and it never got the way I wanted it too.

Hope you like it, and if I get enough reviews I may add another chapter tonight.

As always, I am amazed at how many reviews I have already.
