As I ended reading the letter, she dropped it and glanced at the sleeping Gray. She felt her eyes to start crying and mumbled to herself, "He's leaving?"

Chapter 3

Early Saturday morning, Gray has finally woken up and rolled from his position in the bed. Suddenly he realized he was alone in bed already so he slightly rose up and checked his room when he saw his girlfriends bag.

"Okay, I thought Juvia left without telling me. I wonder where she is..." Gray said to himself before he stood up from bed.

He left his room in his sweat pants and started checking out his place for Juvia. He went through the living room then headed to the kitchen. And there he found Juvia once again in the kitchen but not cooking. Juvia's back was facing him so he decided to sneak up on her.

"Good morning gorgeous..." Gray huskily whispered in Juvia's ear as he wraps his arm around her tiny waist. She didn't seem to react so he kissed her in the neck and asked her.

"Juvia are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah...good morning." Juvia replied before she turned herself to face the man behind her. She smiled weakly then looked down at his body, " I have to go... I remembered that I promised Lucy that we would be having coffee today."

"Oh... I thought we could spend the day together, but sure have fun with Lucy." Gray then steps back a bit as he looked at the blue haired beauty. Juvia gave him one last weak smile before she leaned and kissed his cheek. And with that the blunette left to change and leave.

That morning, Juvia went home and changed her clothes. Once she finished she grabbed her phone and called Lucy.

"Hey Lucy..."

"Juvia? What made you call?"

"Can we meet up? I need a friend right now."

"Sure but what happened?"

"Nothing yet but maybe..."

"Alright, see you in blue cafe"

Lucy then hung up on Juvia. After that call, she sat down for a minute on her bed and took a deep breath. As she stared at her hands, she suddenly sees her couple ring with Gray and soon she recalled that memory.

RECALLING

"Happy monthsary Gray-sama!" Juvia greeted as she laid the food she just cooked in the dinning table. She then sat down in front of him while smiling happily.

That night was their 6th month anniversary which they decided to celebrate in Gray's condominium.

"Monthsary?why? what date is it today?" Gray asked as he stared at the blunette with pure confusion

"Gray-sama today is May 15...don't tell me..." Juvia suddenly became silent as she looked down at the food she just prepared. "Never mind... This is just a plain dinner, don't mind me."

Gray then nodded and soon began to eat their dinner. Juvia almost gasp when she saw Gray began eating and never remembered what that day really meant.

"Juvia, this is really good! you know you can really be a good cook." Gray praised as he looked up at her. As he did, he saw how silent and sad she has become, "Thanks." Juvia said back without looking at him.

The two finished their meal in a silent aura. Juvia then stood up and began to gather the plates. But soon enough, Gray stops her and said, "Hey leave that... I was given a cake this afternoon. So how about grabbing a piece?"

Juvia then looked up at him and sat down silently. Then Gray left for the kitchen and took out the cake from the refrigerator. Soon enough he placed the whole cake in front of her and whispered in her ear, "How will I ever forget the day that this beautiful girl said that she loves me and that I love her?"

Juvia then moved from her seat to see him clearly with tears pooling in her eyes, "Gray-sama..."

"From now on you call me Gray or something sweet instead of 'gray-sama'. Alright?"

"Of course..." Juvia finally giggled as she felt happy once again

"I love you Juvia..."

"I-" Juvia was about to say the same thing when Gray suddenly opened a small red box and showed a simple shiny silver ring.

"I really do love you Juvia. Happy 6th monthsary." and with that Gray slips the ring in Juvia's finger and began to kiss her sweet and slow in her lips.

"I love you too..."

Juvia fell out of her recalling when she suddenly heard her phone ring. Lucy texted her that she was close to the coffee shop. And with that the blunette stood up and headed out of her home.

Minutes has past and the two beauties met up finally. The two talked about the letter Juvia has seen, "so what is your plan?" Lucy asked

"I don't know really...I guess wait for him to tell me?"

"Then what? Do you even have a wild guess what he would do?"

"I don't know, I don't want to think of what he might say. I'm scared Lucy..." Lucy then places her hands in Juvia's as she stared at her sad expression.

Juvia just stared at her cup as she began recalling the moment she saw the letters that morning. As she did so, Lucy suddenly asked her, "what do you want him to say about the letter?"

"Maybe say that he wouldn't leave me without notice."

"Of course...he won't do that to you. He loves you, he would be too stupid to let you go." Lucy then smiled at her friend which Juvia returned back

"Now cheer up. Be positive about him. Okay?" Juvia nodded then Lucy stood up to embrace her and whispered softly, "Everything's going to be fine."

GRAY'S POV

When Juvia left the condo, I went back to my room and tried to sleep again but then something caught my attention. When I turned my head, I saw the yellow envelope steady in my drawer. Then I suddenly realized, what if Juvia read this letter?

"I guess not, the letter seemed to be still close." I then began opening the envelope and took out the letter.

I started reading the letter and got surprised as I continued reading. I was promoted but along with this, I have to leave Japan and everything I have in here. Even Juvia?

Since I'm definitely confused right now, I began calling someone, my friend slash enemy, Natsu Dragneel. "Bro, need advice right now."I said as he accepted my call

"You sound gay man...but somehow I feel your stress..I'll be there in 10."

"Thanks man, just...just don't tell Lucy."

"You got it man." And with that I hung up and went back in the living room. I sat down in my couch and rested my head.

I never realized that I have been staring at the ceiling for 10 minutes already because the next thing I heard is the loud knock in my door. I stood up and opened my door to see my friend. So I opened it wide to let him in then he started asking me.

"So ice head, what is this problem you have that made you call me?" Natsu asked as he sat in my couch

"I got promoted"

"So? Is that suppose to be a bad a thing?"

"Natsu don't act stupid, you know what this promotion comes with"

"Right... so?"

"What do you mean so?! You're in this position as well."

"No I'm not" Natsu then stood up and walk towards me and taps my shoulder, "I knew my answer from the start."

"What did you choose?"

"The thing that I value more. That's just simple." I then turned my back and walked towards my window and stared at the streets

"What if I value both?"

"There can be one only most valuable to you."

"Wait, ice head...why won't you just pick both? Its usual now a days couples having a long distance relationship." Natsu asked as he walked towards the kitchen and looked for something to drink

"I don't believe in that kind of relationship." I said back as I faced Natsu seeing him holding two glasses of Brandy

"Then try now..."

"No. Its either Juvia or be a manager." I said as I took the glass from him

"You're seriously gonna pick?"

"Its either or." Natsu then slams his glass to my table and stepped closer to threaten me

"You're being stupid! Don't tell me you're gonna pick the job?!"

"Its for us..." I then stepped back and land my glass in the table but then Natsu pulled my shoulder to face him, "But you're willing to breakup with her!"

"I guess its better like that than commit infidelity or what and hurt her in the process." I tighten my lip as I have realized what I just said

Commit infidelity? I expect myself to do it?

"Do whatever you want Gray...Just remember, you're choosing your job over the girl you love. Hope you're doing the right thing." Natsu then turned his back to me and left.

Once again, I'm alone in my place. Thinking. Am I doing the right thing?
