Book 1 Chapter 2: A new group of friends.

"CJ wake up." A voice starts fading in and out of my hearing. "Wake up CJ." The voice calls out again. "Oh well you asked for it." Then a very unpleasant sensation shoves itself down my throat.

"AH!" I cough out as I wake up to Lilynette's hand down my throat.

"So you woke up." Lilynette says as she holds up the peace sign. "Morning CJ."

"Lilynette." I say groggily

"We're landing." She responds

"Oh." I set my seat back in the upright position.

"Welcome to New York, home of the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Elis Island." The captain says over the loudspeaker. The four of us walk off the plane, and out into baggage claim to get the money we brought from Japan.

"We made it." Amy says smiling. Just then my Pesquisa detects something that feels a lot like a Shinigami's spiritual pressure when off my left I hear a voice that says.

"I am bored, I want candy!" the voice comes from one of two twins with red hair a black and white jacket and shirt and blue eyes and a red tie and black pants. The girl next to them has black hair that is in a high pony tail with side bangs pinned back; her eyes are a piercing cat like green. She is extremely tall for her age; she is slim but not lanky. Her breasts are about a large C to a small D. (A/N: not a pervert that's what the creator sent me.) She wears boots with dark ripped up jeans. Lilynette walks over to the group; I start tensing up as the black haired girl looks over at us. In desperation to deter Lilynette to ensure she doesn't walk over to a Shinigami, I unleash a torrent of Spiritual Pressure flooring the group of kids.

"CJ ease off, they aren't Shinigami." Lilynette says. I release the spiritual pressure and let the kids stand.

"Can I help you?" the older girl asks Lilynette

"I was wondering if you needed help these two seem to be a handful." Lilynette responds

"Sure but we need to travel together." The older girl says

"Alright where are you off to?" Lilynette asks

"Our mother sent us here from California she said our cousin was taking us to a special day camp. Our cousin Jenifer and her friend Steven our taking us there." The girl responds.

"Where are you going to meet them?" I ask

"Central park but I have no idea where that is." The girl says

"The camp you're going to is on long island?" Matt asks

"Yes it is. How did you know?" the girl asks suspicious

"That's convenient that is where we're off to." Amy says

"Then it's settled we travel together." The girl says

"Right." I say walking over. "But let me get one thing strait right now I am in charge, what I say goes."

"Ok." The girl responds, and then the seven of us walk out of the airport after gathering our bags. We walk away, when I remember we only have Japanese currency.

"We need to stop by a bank so I can do a currency exchange." I say

"Right." After a few minutes of walking we arrive at one of New York's major banks.

"This will work." I say then turn to the rest "Stay here I will be back." I walk into the bank with the bags of money containing 17,000,000,000 Japanese Yen. When I walk in the bank is busy so I have to wait a few minutes. Eventually my turn comes and I walk towards the counter.

"Welcome sir, how may I help you?" the teller asks

"I would like to switch out a lot of currency." I hold up the duffle bag and unzip it to reveal the Japanese yen.

"Sir not to be that guy but there must be atleast 17 billion yen in here not that it's any of my business but how did you get that much?"

"Inheritance." I look down sadly faking the whole innocent child thing.

"I am so sorry for you loss." The man takes the bag and returns several minutes later with the same bag filled with U.S. currency. "Have a nice day sir."

"Thank you." I respond walking out the duffle bag over my shoulder then I walk out to see the two younger kids tugging on Lilynette's hair and it was obvious it was getting on her nerves. "Enough." I bark and we set out on our way after a while we arrive in a forest and I look at the twins and older sister with us. All three were exhausted and it looked like Lilynette wasn't much better. "Alright we're setting up camp here for the night I'll take first watch." The twins hi-fived and after the camp was set up the twins instantly picked a tent and fell asleep in it. Everyone eventually picked a tent and after a while everyone except me was asleep. I was tempted to draw my Zanpakuto and start chopping up trees but I resisted the urge when suddenly I heard a twig snap in the darkness my adrenaline instantly spiked and I drew my sword and used my Pesquisa to sense what was out there. When, from out of the darkness as the sounds of the forest silenced all around them and the roars of terrible creature comes…a bunny. I instantly face palm as I lower my guard when suddenly I hear the sounds of a chicken and breathe a sigh of relief. "Ugh I'm getting worked up over nothing." As soon as these words leave my mouth out of the corner of my eye I see a red eyed chicken. "Oh it's just a chicken…what's the worst that could happen?"

"Don't say that idiot." Hissed a voice right behind me at this I spun around and very nearly backhanded the person behind me when I realized it was just Hell. By this time the chicken had approached and revealed that it was not a chicken but it was a Basilisk and out of the darkness four more slithered out joining the first. The Basilisks were black feathered where the chicken part of their body was predominate. As for the snake part of their bodies they resembled a king Cobra but had the diamond pattern of the diamondback they bobbed and weaved in an almost hypnotizing dance.

"OH FOR THE LOVE OF-!" Hell and Amy covered the twins' ears and Lynette covers her own ears as I go on a tirade of swears in both English and Japanese and even the 5 basilisks were giving each other weird looks.

"Ssssssshould we kill him?" the first asked.

"No let him finisssssssh thissssss issss getting good." A second one said

"Can we go home mom?" The smallest one asked. "Pleassssssse?"

"No we can't, not yet anyway." The largest one replied.

"AGAGVOTENGENIUM!" I continue still in my tirade.

"What doessssss that mean mother?" The small one asked

"Sssssssomething you sssssssshould never repeat."

"IN ALL OF MY DAYS!" I finished with one last curse.

"You done?" asked the second largest.

"Yeah…I'm done."

"So that's the elder swear." Hell said of handedly. (A/N: If you don't know what the Elder Swear is…I feel sorry for you.)

"Ugh is this what it feels like to be a father?" I think

"CAN WE FOCUS?!" Amy shouted.

"I'm on it." I said drawing my Zanpakuto and prepared to charge when suddenly a barrage of arrows sprouted from the necks of the five Basilisk. "MOTHER FU-!"
