LunaC: Sorry for the late update! Heres chapter 3!
Amelia stood outside the mathematics hall of the school, playing on one of her phone apps. It was a while before her next class. But, seeing as everywhere she needed to be to work on other assignments were too far away to make it to this class on time, she decided to wait out here instead. It was a pretty nice day-not too sunny with a bit of scattered clouds and a gentle breeze. Other students passed her, occasionally waving and greeting her. She had small conversations with a few of them. But it had been awhile since she had seen anyone now. Sighing, she looked at her watch. Another fifteen minutes to burn. And her phone was almost dead. Groaning, she sat on the small brick bench, resting her cheek against her palm. She kept thinking back to her dream from the other night. It was so vivid that it seemed almost real.
"Amelia?" She turned around to see a familiar face, smiling at the librarian.
"Hey Artie!"
"It's Arthur..."
"That's too long."
"No it's not."
"That's two syllables. Think of what I could say by saving one syllable of a sentence by calling you Artie instead of Arthur."
"Yes, saving one syllable will certainly make the world a better place," he replied, rolling his eyes.
"So, watcha up to?"
"I was just heading back to my apartment, my class just ended."
"Sweet. Mine's about to start. I'm burning time."
He only nodded. She noticed that even on a casual day he was dressed far more professionally than she was. He wore black pants and a pastel green button up shirt with a pair of black shoes. He wasn't wearing his glasses right now, leaving nothing in front of those captivating green eyes. His outfit compared greatly to Amelia's, who only wore a Thompson Square concert t-shirt and denim shorts with her Converses.
She eyed a book he was carrying, trying to read the title. "King Arthur, huh? Hm, so you're into medieval books," she commented.
"Well, yes, I guess you could say that. But, I wouldn't limit it to medieval. Honestly, I'd say I'm more of a middle earth fan."
"So, more like the Hobbit?"
"Oh, yes!" His eyes lit up at the mention of the book. "That was my favorite! I mean, I love all of the Lord of the Rings books, but that one was amazing! The movie was off a bit, but they pulled it off really well. Plus, Martin Freeman makes an amazing Bilbo Baggins-!" he cut short, his gleeful expression turning to one of embarrassment. "You probably think I sound ridiculous," he sighed.
"Psh, course not. I'm the same way with comic books. Especially Captain America. Though, Iron Man is pretty boss, too," she replied. She checked the time. "Aw, crap, I better go..." She suddenly pulled a pen out of her pocked, grabbing the Brit's arm and scribbling on his skin.
"What the bloody hell are you doing!?" he exclaimed.
"Giving you my phone number, duh." She finished, clicking her pen closed and smiling at him. "You seem like a cool dude, so I wanna keep in touch"
"I don't think if you got to know me you'd consider me a 'cool dude'..." he replied cautiously.
"Psh, I'll decide that for my own. And if I don't get a text or a call, I'm coming to the library and burning the nearest Lord of the Rings book I can find in your face!" She then ran off into the building.
Unfortunately for Arthur, he couldn't tell if she was kidding or not.

Amelia found herself walking down the grand hall with the other knights, the clanging of their armor as they walked filled the stone walls. They had stopped at a grand hall, where they kneeled at the sight of their king. Amelia copied, looking up to the king. She found her face flushing at the sight of the familiar face.
Standing in front of the throne was none other than Arthur. His eyes held a stern, serious look in his emerald eyes. He wore a dark forest green shirt, dark brown pants, and boots in worn out condition. On his belt was a sword. Since it was in its sheath, she could only see the gold handle, carefully designed to look elegant. Though there were no gems or anything to make it look valuable, Amelia thought it looked beautiful, even if the blade was still unknown. A red cape hung on his shoulders, and a simple crown rested on his head. It wasn't the fancy kind like in fairy tales. No, this was a simple bronze headpiece, with a pattern seeming to go around it. Square, gap, square, gap. Each square had a simple picture engraved on it, though where she was kneeling she couldn't tell.
"Rise," he ordered, and all stood. She watched as he took a few steps forward. He scanned over all of them, his eyes momentarily locking with Amelia's. "As you all know, there's been a necromancer causing havoc within the other kingdoms," he started. "He's using dark magic to bring back spirits of the dead, and using this army to take over villages. From what I heard, any people he kills in these villages, he just brings the spirits back into his army. From the path he's taking, it looks like he'd be here in the center of our kingdom within a month. So, I will require every skilled knight to prove their strength and come with me to defeat him."
He paced in front of them for a moment before returning to his throne. "I expect all of you to be here at dawn tomorrow. Even though you may be rumored to be the most skilled, I have to judge that for myself. You may go."
With that, everyone else turned and left, Amelia following after. "Lady Amelia, wait." Surprised, she turned around at Arthur's voice. He gestured for her to come back, and she did. "Most of the knights question whether it was wise of me to make you a knight. I expect you to prove your skills and make my decisions clear tomorrow. Don't fail me," he said. The realization came to her suddenly. Women weren't supposed to be knights. It was only reserved for men. Yet, here she was, a knight under Arthur's rule. It would seem he would have to have been the one to make her a knight. Basically, he was asking her not to look bad, for the kingdom would frown upon him if she did.
"Of course, your majesty," she said with a bow before turning and leaving. As she walked down the hall, the strange sensation of someone shaking her shoulder bothered her. A very faint voice could me heard saying her name.
"Amelia?"
"Amelia."
"Amy."
"AMY!"
Amelia jumped up, realizing she had fallen asleep on the couch. She looked to see her sister standing next to her.
"Huh?" she replied.
"You fell asleep, and the main menu of your movie's been keeping me up," Madeline told her. She shrugged, looking at the clock. It was almost three in the morning.
"Well, thanks Maddie." She got up and stretched, turning the TV off. "I'll jus' head for bed, then. G'nite."
She headed down the hall to her bedroom, wondering about the dream. That was the second in a row she had had.
She checked her phone, finding an unknown number had texted her.

Hello, Amelia, this is Arthur. Here, I have texted you, now you don't have to burn any of the precious books in front of me. What kind of torture is that anyways?
She felt guilty, seeing as that was so many hours ago. She quickly saved the message before sending a text to him.

LunaC: Heheh, hey guys, I'm so sorry for the late update. I've been having major writers block.
And for England's Phone number, it was kinda not super random. For anyone who also sees resemblance of letters in numbers I used that. Since 3's look like E's, 7's look like upside-down L's, 6 looks like G, and 4 resembles A, N, and H (N is harder to see) I just used them to spell 'England'! :D
Anyways, please review! Reviews are to authors as sunflowers are to Russia
