KATIE POV(time skip 1 day)
We had tracked the spiders to a warehouse. We drove up(this is after the giant war so their both 18 and able to drive) and approached the door. We got out our weapons and Percy kicked the door in. As we walked farther inside, something stuck to my foot. Looking down I saw a skull covered in spider webs. I screamed and hundreds of red eyes appeared from the shadows(these are spider eyes so they are in groups of 8). "You just had to look down. Everyone knows you don't look down in a monsters lair!" Percy exclaimed as he cut an overconfident spider that had rushed forward in half. I was tackled to the floor by a giant spider that was bigger than the rest. It bit me and the last thing I saw was Percy cutting its head off with a look of utter rage.
PERCY POV
I felt a rage in me. How could they hurt her! I had a sudden burst of adrenaline that was probably 10 times that of all the Olympics athletes combined. I wove in and out, killing them, a crazed look in my eye. I finally felt the rush decrease and I looked around. the ground was covered in dead spider and Katie was lying by the door. I ran over crying, "NO! PLEASE DON'T DIE! I NEED YOU!" I managed to focus and willed water from underground to come. cracks in the concrete burst open and water gushed out. I willed it to rush into her wound and cleanse it of poison. I picked her up and carried her to our hotel room.
