Dark clouds had covered the sky, letting raindrops fall down to the ground lightly. Robin shuddered in the cold and was getting ready to walk inside when when he peered up at the sky through his mask. What he saw there made his eyes widen with surprise.

Up in the sky, almost blending in with the blackening clouds, was a creature; a creature that Robin could easily say was one that he had never seen before. For a short moment, he was sure that what he was seeing was something paranormal (a ghost, he guessed), but the more he stared at it, the more he became aware of the fact that this creature, indeed, existed, and was not a phantom or a figment of his imagination.

The creature was not entirely visible, though, as its entire body was hidden under a large, black cloak that moved lazily around in the wind. Robin squinted his eyes to try to make out a face under the hood of the creature's cloak, but he did not succeed.

The cloaked thing, whatever it was, was getting closer with every second, floating down towards the Boy Wonder.

Even though Robin would not even admit it to himself, he was scared. And not just scared; frightened. It felt like some dark energy flowed from the creature, that forced one of the strongest feelings of fear that he had ever felt into every cell in his body. He was frozen in place, unable to move as he stared mesmerized at the creature that got closer and closer.

It lowered its flight and stopped right in front of Robin, hovering slightly above he ground. Even with the creature right in front of him, the boy was not able to see under its hood.

Though every instinct told him to either run away or fight, he could do neither. His mind screamed to his body to start running, but nothing happened, and he continued standing there, completely still. Not even the disgusting smell that crept from the creature was able to make him wrinkle his nose.

It was still raining, but not pouring. His hair was damp with rainwater and a couple of drops managed to crawl down his face. He barely noticed it.

Something appeared under the creature's hood. A grayish circle with black middle... A black hole? No, no, a mouth.

A dry inhaling sound could be heard from the creature and suddenly, Robin got he feeling of his mind emptying. His memories, his feelings, his thoughts, everything seemed to be sucked out of him, and there was nothing that he could do about it.

He wasn't sure how long this went on, it could have been seconds, days or months. He could barely think.

Then the creature let go of his mind.

Robin stumbled backwards, and for a quick second he saw creature standing there, watching him, its mouth once again hidden behind its hood.

Everything went black.
