I sat on Marcy's couch listening to her play a new song, her voice was beautiful even when just accompanied by the axe she loved.
Howl in the light lost summer night
Everyone wants to dance in the firelight
The night as long as we like
all the innocents of youth in the firelight

I closed my eyes, relaxing to the beat of the song. Marcieline fire proofed her whole house so I didn't have to worry about burning it down. She had everything planed out.
Heads of the night, a thousand lights
Moments like these burn in the firelight

I smiled softly the nickname she gave me always made it feel like fireflies were dancing in my stomach. "That was beautiful, Babe." I opened my eyes to Marcy floating above me with a knowing smile on her lips. "I was hoping you would say that. I wrote it many years ago, when I left." Her face changed to one of regret. I placed a hand on her cheek "Stop feeling guilty, yes you should have told me but it doesn't matter anymore. You're back, you made it up to me and now we are together." I placed a kiss on her lips. "No take me back to home before my kingdom kill each other." She stepped on the ground bowing "As you wish, my Queen."
