So I made this story before the whole "Old Man Zangetsu is Ichigo's Quincy power" ordeal. In this story, however, Zangetsu is his shinigami powers and Hollow Ichigo is his hollow powers. So in other words, no Quincy Ichigo. There will be a Quincy in this story but he or she will be added later on.

Ichigo's team and the conscious shinobi watched the dark blue pillar of power hit the sky.

"Huh…so the baka released his shikai," Rukia said, watching the pillar finally die down. "He's finally taking this seriously."

Grimmjow scoffed from where he was laying on the ground. "He should've taken this seriously from the beginning. This could've been over already." Grimmjow tried wiggling out of the paper seal again, but soon became frustrated when he made no progress. He grew several tick marks on his head. "Renji get this off 'a me right now! This is seriously pissing me off!" Renji just laughed at him.

"Promise you won't storm off to Pain and Ichigo?" Grimmjow sighed in annoyance but nodded his head. "Alright pussy cat." With a snap of his fingers the paper seal fell to the ground and disappeared into thin air. Grimmjow got up from the ground and stretched his muscles. He turned away from where the rest of the group was looking, and stared at the rubble that was once Kohona.

"I think its time to start looking for survivors. As much as I hate listening to the carrot top, he's still right. Let's go." Grimmjow said, with narrowed eyes.

Renji turned towards Grimmjow and started walking. "Well look who finally grew a heart." Grimmjow scoffed at the comment but didn't retort back. "You heard him, Neliel, Harrible, Rukia, let's go. You too Konoha kids. Let's go." Ino and Sakura looked at each other.

"But what about Tsunade-sama?" Sakura asked, "We can't just leave her here."

Renji sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Fine. You two are medical nin right? Just stay here and watch her. Blondie, you're coming tho." Naruto didn't move from his spot. He was still looking at the far away spot where Ichigo and Pain were.

"No." Naruto stated firmly. "I'm going to help Ichigo finish this. This was my fight. I want to end it." Naruto finally turned around, determination in his eyes.

Renji was about to respond but Rukia beat him to the punch. "Okay kid. Go. Make sure the idiot doesn't die." Naruto smiled and nodded his head. He gave them a thumbs up before storming off to Ichigo and Pain.

"Why'd you let him go?" Renji asked. Rukia stood there for a couple minutes. There was a couple more seconds of awkward silence before Rukia finally answered.

"Honestly…I don't know. He just reminds me so much of Ichigo. And it might get a little risky if Ichigo's by himself. We all know he doesn't want to use his bankai…but its the leader of the Akatsuki. Ichigo won't win without his bankai. Even if he uses his mask…which I doubt he will." Sakura and Ino didn't understand some of the things said but it wasn't time to ask questions.

Renji looked away for a couple seconds before nodding his head. "I understand. Alright no more wasting time. Rukia and Nel, come with me and Grimmjow. Horrible, can you stay here with these three?" He asked, thrusting a thumb towards Tsunade, Ino, and Sakura. Harribel nodded her head in silence.

Rukia smiled while walking past Renji. "Well look who's taking charge," She playfully elbowed him in the ribs.

Renji rolled his eyes. "Whatever," he looked away again, "I just want to get this over with."

Pain watched as Ichigo was engulfed by dark blue power. After a couple of minutes, the power died down, revealing Ichigo. His torso was completely bare, showing no signs of damage to his body. "Regeneration," Pain thought to himself. Instead of the katana Ichigo was wielding, he held a large khyber-looking sword. "What was this stage you called this, Ichigo? Shikai was it? It's been a while since I've fought you in this stage."

Ichigo's eyes narrowed before thrusting his sword at Pain. A dark blue cresent flew at Pain. He jumped backwards, dodging the attack with ease. "It's time to end this, Pain. The Akatsuki will be no more when I'm done with you."

Pain said nothing at first. He stood there, staring at Ichigo with his powerful eyes. "You know…" Pain started, "thats a damn lie!" Pain jumped at Ichigo, holding sharp black poles in each of his hands. He thrusted downwards with extreme force. Ichigo quickly brought Zangetsu up to block. Sparks flew as the poles connected with Zangetsu. Both opponents were struggling against each other. In an instant, Pain dropped both poles and held his hands out. "Almighty Push!" Pain yelled. Ichigo's eyes widened as he felt the extreme force and power crush him. He was still holding Zangetsu up, trying to get his sword to block the invisible force. Pain jumped back again, watching debris fly around where Ichigo was. Pain couldn't see Ichigo, for there was smoke from his attack, but he could still sense Ichigo.

Ichigo slashed downward, clearing the smoke. He breathed heavily. Trying to block that attack took a lot out of him. "Dammit…my legs are fucked up…" Ichigo thought to himself, looking down at his damaged legs. "That was a dirty trick, Nagato. I didn't think you'd be the type of person to do something like that." Ichigo said through breaths.

"Any normal shinobi would've died being so close to me while using that attack. You truly are a monster Ichigo Kurosaki. It's a shame you couldn't join the Akatsuki." Pain glanced down at Ichigo's legs. "But it does seem like my Almighty Push took a toll on your lower body."

"No shit sherlock," Ichigo thought to himself. "You say I couldn't join the Akatsuki…you're wrong there. It's not that I couldn't. It's that I didn't want to. Your way of finding peace is completely wrong. It's fucked up even." Ichigo started to cough. The Almighty Push did more than he thought. "Peace isn't achieved through more deaths, Nagato! Just stop this now!"

"I will not," Pain said firmly. "This is my purpose. This is my shinobi way. I will bring peace to this world." Ichigo gritted his teeth and gripped Zangetsu in both of his hands.

Ichigo was about to charge at Pain, but fell to his knees. His legs were broken. "Fuck! Where is that damn Hollow's regeneration power when you need it!?" Ichigo mentally screamed at himself.

"Tch, tch, tch, Kingy. You let that fucker pull a cheap shot on you. That's what you get for not taking this seriously! Let me have a crack at him. It'll be over in seconds! C'mon King!" Hollow Ichigo was aching to be let loose.

"Not now and not ever hollow. I'll never let you out." Ichigo tried standing up, but fell on his stomach. "Fuck!" he mentally yelled

"It seems this is the end for you, Kurosaki. Why not call reinforcements? Or use that mask of yours?" Pain taunted Ichigo. He knew Ichigo wasn't at his full power.

"I don't need them to help. And I sure as hell don't need my Hollow mask to take you down." Ichigo said confidently. Pain started walking towards Ichigo. He firmly held another black pole in his hand. Ichigo's eyes widened. He needed to think of something quickly before it was too late.

Before Pain could take another step, Naruto jumped out of nowhere. "Rasengan!" Naruto yelled as the blue sphere connected with Pain's face. Pain flew a couple meters away before crashing into a rock. Ichigo's eyes widened and looked up at the blonde haired boy.

"What are you doing here kid?!" Ichigo asked. Naruto looked down at Ichigo.

"Damn carrot top, he really messed you up! But don't worry. I'll handle the rest of this." Naruto gave a thumbs up to Ichigo.

"No kid listen! Go back to the others and get Rukia or Harribel. They have medic pills for me to fix my legs. Just listen to me! You can't defeat him!" Ichigo commanded.

"He's right…Naruto…" Pain said, recovering from Naruto's jutsu. "You can't defeat me. If Jiraiya couldn't defeat me, how could you?" Naruto grit his teeth from the mention of his deceased mentor's name. "I killed him with ease. And I will do the same with you, Kurosaki Ichigo, and the rest of Kohona."

"Don't you dare talk shit about Jiraiya-sensei," Naruto looked down at the ground and his hair covered his eyes. He looked back up at Pain, his eyes red and a black slit going down the middle of his eye. A dark red cloak started to form around Naruto. Two tails formed at the end of the cloak.

"There it is…the power of the Kyuubi…" Pain was ready to take the power of the Kyuubi from this boy.

"Naruto! Don't let him anger you! You'll fall right into his trap!" Ichigo tried getting up again. He stuck Zangetsu in the ground, and pulled himself up. He ignored the pain in his legs.

Naruto and Pain ignored Ichigo. They continued having a deathly stare down. "That girl that tried to save you before the blue haired man interrupted…would you feel pain if I had killed her?" Naruto's scowl deepened. He was getting angrier by the second. "I killed all of your friends…your teammates…your mentor…do you not feel hatred towards me?"

Naruto made his hands into fists. His grip was so tight that blood started to draw. Naruto jumped at Pain, quicker than before thanks to the Kyuubi's cloak. Pain dodged with ease and was able to smash Naruto to the ground. Before Naruto could get up, Pain stuck five poles into Naruto's body. Two on each hand, two on both of his feet, and one in the middle of his stomach. Naruto screamed in pain. Pain got off of Naruto and started to walk away.

"Where are you going you bastard?!" Naruto screamed. Pain continued walking a couple meters away before stopping.

"I'm going to finish what I started…I'm going to kill that Hyuuga girl and the rest of the survivors. Neither of you can move. I will come back to extract the Kyuubi." Pain said.

Something inside of Naruto snapped. His eyes opened wide. There were still some of his friends there. Sakura, Ino, Ichigo's group, Tsunade…and Hinata. He finally snapped. Naruto screamed as his Kyuubi cloak deepened in color. He got up from the ground, snapping the poles with ease. The Kyuubi's power was finally released. Naruto was now covered in a sickly red cloak. He was on all fours and some type of bone was formed around his head, back, arms, and legs.

"Six tails…" Ichigo thought to himself. "Naruto! Can you hear me?! Snap out of it! You're giving him what he wants! Control yourself!" Ichigo tried walking towards 'Naruto' but he was swept off his feet when 'Naruto' let out a scream, causing a shockwave.

"The fox's power…do you hate me…? Naruto?" Pain asked.

"Grrrrr…" was all the Kyuubi said.

"Do you think people can understand each other like this?" Naruto said nothing for a few seconds before letting out a monstrous scream. "That's it…there's your pain…but mine is still greater then yours…"

Sakura and Ino's eyes widened as they felt a deadly chakra overcome them. "This…I've felt this feeling before…" Sakura whispered.

"I don't understand…what is this? It feels…like death…" Ino held herself with her arms.

"It's the Kyuubi…" Sakura whispered, even quieter than before.

So that's the end of this chapter, and honestly, I know it was pretty bad. I needed to get another chapter out before I went on vacation. This chapter was a little hard to write, though. I had to find another way to let the Kyuubi out. And the fight between Pain and Ichigo was pathetic, but I made it to be like that. I only wanted Ichigo to use his shikai. I didn't want him to use his bankai at the very beginning of this story and the reason why he doesn't use his mask will be explained later. I'm sorry for the short chapter. I'm not using Microsoft Office because I don't have it anymore. I had to get a new hard drive for my computer and I lost everything. So for now, I'm using TextEdit. I can't stand TextEdit. I'll make the next chapter more exciting and have more action. Also, tell me who you want to be in Ichigo's lil' harem. And if you see any spelling errors, I'm terribly sorry. TextEdit kept changing the characters' names. I.e. Renji would turn into Reni.
