Chapter 3: A New Day, A New Light

A large and ominous airship descended upon a landing pad. Two Bullheads flew over the main causeway and ant-like masses of people swarmed on the paths around Beacon. At the peak of the highest tower, veiled in clouds, clockwork mechanisms function ceaselessly over the headmaster's office. Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch stood facing out the window of his office, watching the orchestrations.

"Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels," Goodwitch said.

"Well, running an academy and a military makes him a busy man," the headmaster said as he overlooked three more Bullheads flew in, "But yes, those are a bit of an eyesore." A chirping sound emanated from his desk.

"Come in," Ozpin said." The doors to his office opened, revealing General Ironwood.

"Ozpin!" said Ironwood cordially.

Ozpin stood at attention. "Hello, General," he said rather stiffly.

"Please, drop the formalities." The two men approached and shook hands as Goodwitch also approached.

"It's been too long," said Ironwood, "And Glynda! It has certainly been too long since we last met."

The severe professor responded almost mockingly, "Oh, James" She gave a personable wave and then dropped all pleasantries. "I'll be outside."

"Well, she hasn't changed a bit," said Ironwood, not entirely surprised by how the conversation went.

Ozpin turned to his desk and said "So, what in the world has brought you all the way down from Atlas again?" The Headmaster of Beacon picked up a kettle and cup, pouring as he spoke. "Headmasters don't typically travel with their students, for the Vytal Festival." He turned and offered the cup to Ironwood.

The mug changes hands and a clink is heard. "Well, you know how much I love Vale this time of year," Ironwood said as he produced a canteen from his inside coat pocket and poured its contents into his mug. "Besides, with you hosting, I thought that this might be a good opportunity for us to catch up."

Ozpin walked around to his desk, kettle and a new mug. "I can certainly appreciate the quality time between friends, however, a small fleet outside my window has me concerned."

"Well, concerned is what brought them here." The General said.

"I understand that travel between kingdoms has become increasingly difficult," said Ozpin, feigning ignorance.

"Oz, you and I both know why I brought those men," said Ironwood frankly.

Ozpin took a drink and set down his mug. "We are in a time of peace. Shows of power like this are just going to give off the wrong impression."

"But if what Qrow said is true..."

Interrupting the other man Ozpin said, "If what Qrow said is true, then we will handle it tactfully." He said gesturing with his index finger for emphasis. "It's the Vytal Festival. A time to celebrate unity and peace. So I suggest that you not scare people by transporting hundreds of soldiers halfway across the continent."

"I'm just being cautious," justified Ironwood.

"As am I. Which is why we will continue to train the best Huntsmen and Huntresses we can." Ozpin stated. "And I want to inform you to avoid one of my students. I am aware that the council informed you about him."

Ironwood frowned. "Yes they have. And I'm sorry, but I cannot overlook it this time Ozpin. They need to know everything." He said to him, though doesn't want to. "So, later on tomorrow, he and I will talk and he will be examined."

"That won't happen you know?"

"Ah James I think you should meet the new member of our cause…" He gestured to the person behind James.

Ironwood turns around to see Specter. "James, meet Specter."

"Him? But he is just a child…" Ironwood motioned to him.

Specter made the sword appear in his hand. "I'm a Saber."

This made Ironwood look at him with shock. "Y-You are? But… they were wiped out…"

Specter removed his Eyecon, reverting back. "I remember you General Ironwood. You once visited my father year ago to ask him into being in your military in which he decline since we have tradition." He remembered. "And I survived with training that once made me a commander of the dark spirits."

"He is correct James," Ozpin confirmed. "Hence to why he is part of the cause. He is experienced enough to help…. he is also protecting his adopted brother that you wanted to speak to."

Ironwood sighs as he reaches into his pocket and brings out a document from the council. "You all know what this is, don't you?" He asked as they nodded. "This was signed by them, stating that we ALL have to participate… I'm sorry Ozpin, but they need the data.. And if we don't comply, they will strip us, and trust me… what they'll do after it is far worst than what will happen if this doesn't go on…" He frowned, looking away as he puts it in his suit. "He will be examined tomorrow…. Otherwise we both will lose everything." He said before saluting and walking off.

"I won't allow you to get near my brother." He marched up to Ironwood, making him look at the Rider who was angered upon this. "Listen here, I have dealt things far worse than any could imagine for 10 years. You do know that us Sabers don't care about the Council due to our status? Even more that if they try to do to me? Let's say it won't be pretty for them due to my previous career. You failed many things including taking down that crime syndicate in Atlas which I had to handle. My brother is under my watch. A Saber keeps their word."

Ironwood frowns. "Specter…. Trust me… Even 'I' don't want this… I would rather have them strip me of my title and rank here and now. But, if I do that, they can do something far worst than anything else…. I wish I could stop it, believe me, I do. But, this is better if we comply, just this once. Be glad that they don't know about you being here, otherwise they would call for your head."

Axel growled before punching the wall. He then turned to Ozpin. "Then I am gonna make some calls myself…" He said to the headmaster before heading to the elevator.

Ozpin knew who he was going to see. A grin shown knowing that Axel is going to do what a Saber often does.

Defy the consequence and contract.

"Good luck," he smiled.

Insert opening song - Time to Say Goodbye - RWBY Vol.2 Opening)

[There's a point where it tips, There's a point where it breaks]

As the song starts, the camera slowly flies through the clouds before reaching a brightful Beacon Academy.

[There's a point where it bends, And a point we just can't take..Anymore...]

As is gets closer, we see Cody and Axel standing in front of the statue, looking at it before lowering their heads to see their Eyecons; Ore and Specter.

[There's a line that we'll cross, and there's no return There's a time and a place, no bridges left to burn, Anymore!]

Cody and Axel then turned their heads as they see the smiling faces of their teams, RWBY and JNPR along with Luna as they turn their attentions back towards the statue as it fades to white.

[We can't just wait with lives as stake, Until they think we're ready]

The camera fades back in as Cody and Axel along with their teams are flying through the air, dive bombing towards a location. As they do, The Ore, Specter and Boost Damashii flies out as it circles them both.

[Our enemies are gathering, the storm is growing deadly!]

Down below, stood several Grimm, along with an army of Ganma, lead by Alan who holds up the Necrom Eyecon with a devious smirk, before the shadows of Cinder and her team appear behind them.

[Now it's time to say goodbye… To the things we loved, and the innocence of youth]

Cody and Axel donned on their Rider forms as they clash against Necrom in this fight. Along with them was RWBY facing off against Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, and Neo as they battle in the small space.

[How the time seemed to fly, from our carefree lives, and the solitude and peace we always knew]

As the fight continues, Cody changes into his Boost Damashii, knocking back Necrom as the symbols of the 15 Eyecon hover over the area before turning white as Cody and the others are now relaxing on a hillside, staring at the sky as the title card shows up.

Another day, another time in Beacon as everyone was in the halls of Beacon. Cody and Team RWBY were in the halls as a day past since he got a new Rider Eyecon and met a Rider/human-kaijin. Even more he earned Baron's respect.

"I wonder if Kaito will be around often? You did say he is around Axel's age?." Ruby stated.

"I think he'll probably crash with Tsukasa." Cody added on. "He doesn't seem to be the type of guy to go to school and all."

His scroll rang, making him blink. He got it out of his pocket and answered it, "Hello?"

"Cody its me… I want you to avoid General James Ironwood or anyone from his military. They want to try to examine the Eyecons." Axel's voice said. "Stay hidden from them please. I rather not let others use the power for their gain."

"Hmm… I'll try. I can make some excuse like 'Oh, since I found my cure they left me' or something?" Cody replied.

"Cody this isn't a joke." Axel's now serious. "I'm already making some calls, don't ask. just stay away from anyone that approaches you.."

"Hey, you forget the times we played tag and you guys never caught me." Cody smirked. "I'll be fine…"

Cody heard Axel sigh. "Just… avoid them…" He then ended the call.

He puts his scroll away as he looks at the girls. "Seems like we have some avoiding to do…"

"Need some help them?" Yang smirked.

"Yes please." He smiles.

"How long do you have to avoid them?" Ruby asked.

"Axel said he is meeting up with someone to take care of the situation. So probably like 2 hours or so." Cody replied with a shrug.

"Um…. Cody?" Ruby pointed behind them, and walking towards them was Ironwood, and a few others.

"That's our cue." Yang said before a friend was shown. "Say Cody, is Bat Clock still around?"

"Uh yeah, why?"

Yang checked the time and pointed at it. "Time for a wake up call."

He smirks as he snaps his fingers, the Bat Clock flying in as it floats in front of Ironwood before it lets out the loud chime at them, halting them as they cover their ears.

"Let's go!" Ruby said, leading Cody and the others to make a run for it as the Bat Clock continues it chime before flying out the window when Cody and his friends were out of sight.

"Damn it…. Find them!" Ironwood demanded as the others nod and went their separate ways to find Cody.

Just how were they able to be aware that the was going to speak with Cody? Unless… Ironwood suddenly realized who could have told Cody and his friends. Specter told Cody and his friends that he was gonna speak to the young man. He growled as he marched off to find him and get this order over with.

With Ruby she was using her Semblance to run past the soldier that was going to speak with her. She would never give up her friend to the military! Nope! Not in a million years! As she rushed down the hall, she quickly noticed the soldier looked around, looking for Cody.

Several ideas popped in her head before one made it her choice. She reached in her pocket and got out the Spider Lantern. "Alright Spider Lantern, you know know what to do!" She cheered for the Ghost Gadget. It nodded happily as it shot a web at the bunch, stopping their advancement.

She smirks as she then races around, tickling the troops as they all laughed from it, some tried to do something to escape but Ruby kept up her advancements as Spider Lantern helped her out, it clicking happily from this.

Blake on the other hand was sneaking around them through the air ducts, when she came across some, she quickly knocked them out and disappeared back into the vents, oddly enough she had a slight smile on her face, as if she was being a ninja or some superspy.

She continued to crawl through the vents as she looks keeps watch from the vents to make sure they don't get near Cody. Her task was a little easier since she was in the vents. However she saw a soldier heading towards their dorm, assuming Cody is there. So, she quickly jumped out of the vent, her feet landing on the soldier's back, knocking him out.

"Target neutralized…" She said monotone, then accidentally lets out a giggle. She stops as she looks for anyone who heard before disappearing again.

With Weiss, she was running towards the courtyard to help Cody out and give time for her boyfriend to prevent whatever Ironwood wants from Cody. Just by doing this should could help but feel happy that she might impress Axel that she is helping Cody get away from Ironwood.

"Weiss, on your left." Yang pointed out.

She nodded as she brought up a black Glyph, sending the two soldiers away from her. "We just have to give Cody time." The heiress said. But as she looked back at them, only an outline was there, showing they ditched her from the confusion. "Oh come on!" she complained before running away.

Yang was panting along with a tired Cody as they hid under the docks, with only small patch of land separating them from the water. They held their breaths as they heard several footsteps above them. But after a few seconds, they hearing them marching away.

"Man… this sucks… I was hoping for something more peaceful…" Cody complained.

"I agree with you there." Yang agreed. "How much longer do we have to avoid them anyway?"

"Don't know.. It has been two hours now…. I hope Axel can think of something soon…" Cody sighed as he turned to Yang but blushes as he turns away. "U-Um… Y-Yang? Why are you so close?"

Yang just has a smirk on her face, leaning against him. "Oh.. no reason.. Just making sure you're alright?"

"B-But you're a bit too close…" He says, Yang pressing against him a bit more.

"Is that a problem?" she asked. Cody just can only gulp, turning away from her as she giggles and backs off. "Just kidding dude. You need to see your face." She giggled.

"Still.. Why are they pushing against their objectives now?" Yang asked.

"Axel told me they want to study the Eyecons." He frowned. "I rather not let them since you saw what the Eyecons are able to do."

"Oh yeah, being able to make themselves appear, talk, and the whole wish thing." She nodded.

"Exactly… And I don't know about you, but the government having that kind of power is worst than the White Fang.." Cody frowned.

They looked at the water that was washing up shore then back before Cody sighed as he looked at the time. He brought out Condor Phone. "Can you see if there is anyone above?" he asked. It folded into its animal form as it flew out from under the dock. After a few more seconds it came back and nodded.

"Let's go Yang. I think I have a place we can crash until this is done." He said to her.

"Where?" she asked, curious.

"So…" Tsukasa said, his brow twitching with anger. "You just think I would let you in here, just for now until your friend finds a way to stop this problem?" His finger tapping his arm. "And you decided… to come here?"

"Just for today since my brother is taking care of the situation." Cody responded. "You understand that the government can't get their hands on the Eyecons."

"AND YOU THINK BY COMING HERE IT MAKES 'US' SAFE?!" Tsukasa shouted at them. The two flinched upon his tone.

"So that's a no then?" Yang assumed.

"What do you two think?" He frowns. The two sighed before making their way for the door and closed it behind them. "There goes the first idea…" Cody sighed as they start walking, luckily enough it was nighttime now as they could make a better escape.

"I wonder where we can go now?" Cody asked himself, looking around.

"We could sleep in an alley?" the blonde brawler suggested.

Cody sighs, "Better than running into those troops…" He said as they found one that looked clean enough as the slump next to the wall. They looked at the streets, keeping watch as they laid against the wall in the alley.

As they kept watch, Cody could feel something leaning against him, he turns to see Yang, leaning on him and already asleep. He smiles as he scoots a bit closer, as slumber started to overtake him as well.

The next day arrives as the sun beams on them, slowly waking them up. They both yawn heavily before stretching. "Ugh… Morning already?" He groaned. Yang yawned and the two got up, stretching as an audible pop was heard. "We should head back, probably they got over it now."

"I wouldn't be so sure…" Replied a voice. They look up quickly to see Ironwood and a few soldiers standing with him, shock guns ready to be used. "Just come along quietly please? This chase is getting annoying…"

An engine was heard, Ironwood and his men seeing Specter in his Machine Hoodie that stopped before getting off the bike. "General." He greeted nonchalantly but if they could see it, there was a smirk under his helmet.

"Specter.." He greeted back. "May I ask what you're doing here now?"

Specter reached in his jacket. "After a whole day, I managed to find some things and such and so…" He handed Ironwood a document. "This will give you the answer." He pushed through the group and approached Cody and Yang and gave them a thumb up.

"How… did you.. Even?" Ironwood gasped.

Specter turns to look at him, "I'm a Saber, Ironwood. We do what we can to defy order to protect family." He grinned. "And so, I hereby tell you and your men to back off and stay away from Cody and no one will learn about the devices we hold."

Ironwood just rolled it up and turn to Axel. "Well played Blue Devil…" He smirks slightly as he turns to his men. "Alright, men. Move out." He commanded as they marched off.

Cody and Yang sighed as they look at Axel. "Thanks for that bro…" He thanked him.

"Just what made him accept the order?"

"You did say that my ancestor was King Arthur who was a Saber?" Axel grinned. "And a family member of the Saber Family are under complete protection from any order. Council or military. Since your parents adopted me, you are considered my family."

"Now, THAT is quite the surprise Axel." Yang smiled before both of them heard a familiar stomach roar.

They looked at Cody who chuckled while rubbing the back of his head. "Guess I got hungry after that long chase." he said.

"Let's head back to Beacon." Axel suggested. The others nodded, finally relieved as they make their way back to the school.

The trio made it back to Beacon as they were now at the courtyard. "Axel, I really appreciate for what you did, really." Cody thanked.

"It's no problem, Cody. You and the others helped me get back on track, I wanted to pay back the debt." He smiled.

"You two really do act like brothers." Yang commented.

"Well, they did grow up together, Yang." Ruby pointed out, enjoying another cookie.

They laughed before Weiss looked at Axel. "So what really made the General keep away? What kind of document?"

Axel smiled sadly. "Well… you see… after several hours I… went back to my old home. It is still there, no one lives there since it's Saber property." Weiss looked at Axel with surprise, learning in to know more about this, as well as the document he used. "As I explored the place… I went to my father's old storage and rummaged through many things and found the necessary documents and presented to the Council since they and the military have no right to commit the act upon a family member of the Sabers."

"Wow…. Your family sounds amazing, Axel." Ruby smiled.

"We are our own separate organization upon combat against the Grimm knowing that our Semblance is unique and one of a kind that others want to use." Axel continued. "Have you guys heard of the group, The Excaliburs?"

They all shook their heads in confusion. "It is the organization that King Arthur created knowing that the Semblance could gain unwanted attention and be killed for it. He swore that himself and those with the blood of a Saber will fight for the people, not for those like the military."

"Woah…." Ruby said in awe. "So, you're family is like… superspies?"

Axel shook his head with a chuckle. "More like a special group of Huntsmen and Huntresses that fight the Grimm. And now since I am currently the oldest child of the Sabers…" He presented a key. "The property is now in my hands."

Ruby and the others leaned in at the key in awe and surprise. "Well, looks like you got yourself some royalty with ya, Weiss." Yang smirked, teasing her. Weiss looked away in embarrassment.

"But Axel… are you sure? You did say that was where… You know…." Cody said, concerned.

"I know but my late parents would have wanted me to continue with the Saber legacy." Axel assured, clenching the key. "I rather not let the Saber name die in vain."

Cody smiles as he pats him on his shoulder. "Well, I know that they would be proud of you right now…" He smiles. "Especially now."

He grinned before looking at the others. "How about you guys like to have a tour of the place then?" he asked.

"Heck yeah!" Shouted Nora as she popped out of nowhere. "A slumber party in a spooky mansion? Heck yeah we're all in!"

"Where did you come from!?" Cody and Axel questioned in surprise.

"Oh, if I had to tell you.." She then glares at them. "I'll have to break your legs…"

Cody and Axel decided to keep quiet as the rest of JNPR approached them. "You guys too?" Axel asked.

"We want to see what it is like." Jaune replied. Axel sighed before looking at the others. "Alright… you all can come along then."

Nora and Ruby high fived each other happily. "So, we'll meet up with you after school is out. It is the weekend after all." Pyrrha stated. He nodded before they all headed back to their respective dorms, ready for their next classes.

Inside Axel's dorm, Luna is cuddling Razor happily as the raptor Grimm nuzzles her. "Welcome back bro!"

"Hey Luna." He smiled. "Luna do you remember our old home?"

She slightly clutched Razor, slowly nodding. "Y-Yes… Why?" She asked him softly.

"Well…. I went back to get the documents to stop Ironwood from getting Cody. I also got the key to our old home, so Team RWBY, JNPR, Cody, you, and I will be going there for the weekend." He answered. "I know it's where that happened but they would want us both to continue our Saber name. A strong soul leads to a great future…."

"A strong will crafts a blade to cut through the darkness…" Luna finished. She then took a deep sigh. "Alright… I-I'll come too.." she says softly, still repressing that night.

He hugged his little sister. "It will be okay, Luna." he assured softly.

"I know…" she sniffled, leaning in her brother's arm and letting out a few whimpers.

Meanwhile, at the Saber mansion. A familiar scientist walks up to it, a smirk on his face. "Ah, the Saber Family Mansion… Quite the spectacle." He smirked. He then turned his head to see one of the Ganma he brought with him.

It was a very large Ganma, almost as tall as a Beowolf, but had a lion's skin on its back and head, while carrying a large sword in its hand. "What shall I do, Master Igor?" It asked him.

"I would like you to go in there and find me the item I have been looking for… With that thing in my hands, it will become the perfect and most powerful Ganma ever…" He explained.

The large Ganma nodded as it turned back into its Eyecon form as it floated past the gates and into the mansion. Igor smirks, "And this time, those two riders will not stand in my way…"

The next day the two teams and the Saber Siblings were walking in town as Axel was leading the group to the Saber property. "How long has it been since the place been unoccupied?" Jaune asked.

Axel and Luna lowered their heads from the question. "I was only 5 while Luna was just a mere toddler." He answered lowly.

"O-Oh… I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to offend you two…" Jaune apologized.

"It's alright it's been 13 years since that day." Axel assured as he they soon made to a walkway as the greenery was formed in an arch above them, the sunlight barely passing through. After a few minutes, Axel spoke up. "We are here. Welcome to the Saber's home." He gestured.

"Woah! It's huge!" Nora gasped as she jumped up and down. "I bet there's plenty of Ghosts in there!"

"Hey!" Cody retorted with a huff.

"Is this where you used to live…?" Ruby gaped.

"Yep." Axel nodded. "It's the mansion passed down to each Saber for generations."

"It's quite the piece of art, if I do say so myself." Pyrrha complimented.

Axel placed in the key, unlocking the gates before opening them. They continued to walk towards the mansion and entered the mansion. Upon entering they saw portraits or previous Sabers, a stairway that leads to two different halls as the middle showed a statue of King Arthur himself. "Last night, I came back here to clean up the place. Make yourselves at home."

Ruby, Nora and Luna walked off one way, as Jaune, Pyrrha, Ren and Blake went off towards more art, leaving Cody, Axel, Weiss and Yang there at the statue. Cody was the first to walk up and look at in in awe. "So… This is King Arthur…." Cody said in awe.

"You know… He looks a lot like you Axel.. "Weiss pointed out.

Cody and Yang blinked before looking at Axel then at the statue. There was similarities indeed. Same looks only the difference is that Arthur was a little taller and had a scruffy beard. "I think she's right Axel." Yang agreed.

Axel chuckled as he presented his semblance again. "This sword you guys see is the same blade he had of his semblance." he explained. "They say those who are bestowed Arthur's sword of light are destined for greatness."

"Say, speaking of Arthur…" Yang pointed out as she turned to Axel. "Is it also true that King Arthur knew where he hid Excalibur, the ultimate weapon against the Grimm?"

Cody smiled brightly as he turned to Axel as well, stars in his eyes. "Yeah! I wanna know that one too!"

Axel gulped upon this. "You guys want to know…?" He asked. "Okay Cody I understand but who else would want to know about the Excalibur?" He joked.

"We do!" Ruby and Nora agreed, as Luna walks with them.

He sighed with a sweatdrop. He motioned the others to follow him. They followed after him, Cody and Ruby smiling brightly, excited about this. They eventually made it to an office in which Axel opens the door, revealing an office with a desk showing photos. Cody looked at one and showed none other than Axel's and Luna's parents and themselves when they were little.

"Thats… them?" Cody got out.

He nodded. "They were both huntsman and huntresses. Father was one Arthur's side, while my mother was from Lancelot's side."

Weiss looked at one of the pictures. "Your mother is beautiful.." She complimented.

The woman in the image was indeed a beautiful woman, long golden hair and black eyes, while the father also almost looked like Axel as well, but with silver hair and green eyes. With them was Axel when he was a toddler while Luna was an infant back then.

He then looked at the bookshelves, his fingers brushing through each one. His hands stopped on one before pulling it back, the shelf next to him opening up to reveal a room on the other side. It was filled with valuable treasure, gems, armors, weapons and more as it literally felt like something from the long ages of the past.

Cody, Yang, Nora, Ruby, and Weiss jawdropped upon the sight that their jaws would have literally dropped to the ground.

"You guys have a secret room!?" Ruby squealed.

"Are you freakin rich or something!?" Cody exclaimed.

Axel shrugged. "We are not greedy or anything like that." He explained. "My ancestor followed a rule when he formed the group. Greed is something we dislike."

Ruby looked at the weapons of the past, fascinated to see them and what they were like.

"So, why show us this?" Yang asked.

He walked forward as a large case was in the very center of the room. He swept his hand across it, showing the symbol of the Sabers. The rest walked up towards him, curious on what's in it?

Axel used his Semblance, his sword appeared before he stabbed it into the small hole that was shaped on watched as the case began to open up as if his Semblance was the key. Once done, there stood a sword sheathed inside it. It was the length of a two-handed long sword, but the design had lots of blue, silver and gold, and on the center of the hilt, was the same symbol for the Saber families.

"Is… that?" Cody got out.

"The one and only…" He nodded. "Only a Saber can unsheath it." He handed it to Cody. "Try and you'll see."

Cody quickly got hold of it, mesmerized by it and decided to take it out of its sheath, only for him to be unable to. And as soon as he was able to move it from the case, he quickly dropped to the floor, making an audible sound of the contact with the floor. "Just how heavy is it?!" Yang got out.

Axel knelt down to pick it up and held it in his hand. "Easy for us to carry." he responded before placing his hand on the grip, the others now on the verge to see it without fainting. He slowly unsheathed the sword completely with no trouble, it's glory basking in front of them. The blade while had a bright glow to it, the blade was completely golden, something unheard of or seen.

"Woah… it's made out of gold?" Ruby asked.

"No… this blade was crafted by infusing metal and light as one. Unlike our Semblances, its light is far more stronger than anyone could imagine. Some say that Oum graced it with his light, a blade that Grimm fear to this day. This very blade was used to kill a Grimm Dragon."

"Grimm Dragon? You mean they actually existed?" Weiss gasped.

"Yes many but as of now, two remain but they don't know what happened to them. They saw they became extinct, others say they are hiding in the darkness, waiting for their time to get revenge for their loss of brethren."

Ruby and Luna hug Yang arms, scared from that. "So… Your family has kept it for generations? How did they keep it secret for so long?" Cody asked.

"The same reason to our Semblance. Imagine if the military got their hands on this?" Axel questioned.

"Good point…." Cody agreed. "So, why show us then?" Yang asked him.

"This sword has Arthur's essence. Certain Sabers can wield this blade." He explained.

"Now, will you please hand it to me then?" Replied a booming voice.

They all turned to see a large Ganma near the entrance of the room. It then raises its arms, having Jaune, Ren, Pyrrha, and Blake, unconscious in his large hands. "Or else I don't know what will happen to these four?" He chuckled.

Axel gritted his teeth, not willing to give up a family heirloom. "Cody, the Ganma can't get their hands on it…" he said, sheathing the sword back in its sheath.

"But, what about Blake and the others?" Ruby asked.

Axel's eyes soften as Cody felt nostalgia upon this. It was the same with Sun until he then remembered the weight to those who aren't a Saber. "Axel, toss it to him." Luna asked him.

"What?"

"I know that you don't want to give him it… But they're lives matter more than this… Please.." Luna said to him, her eyes looking at her brothers.

He looked at his unconscious friends then at Luna. He slowly nodded. "Catch!" He tossed it to the Ganma who quickly dropped their friends. The moment it caught it, it fell back from the sheer weight it has.

Ruby, Yang and nora went up to their friends as Cody and Axel rushed at the Ganma. Cody tackling it away and out the door as Axel rushes towards the sword. He grabbed it and as he did, he opened it back up to see it glowing brightly. "Woah…." He muttered.

Meanwhile, Cody is tossed through into the garden outside as the large Ganma walks out, sword drawn. "That power…. You're Alexander The Great?" Cody got out as he dodged the oncoming swing.

"Hmph. I commend you for knowing me by my power. But you shall pay for interrupting me mission…" He responded as Cody dodged another swing.

"Mission? Who gave you that?" He asked.

"Heh, you'll know… Upon your grave!" He shouted, raising his sword high.

"Not this time!" A sword struck the Ganma across its side, sending it away as it clinched its wound. They turned to see Axel walking out with Excalibur, but it's glowing brightly, making the Ganma growl in anger.

"How did you unlock its power!?"

"I am a Saber, Ganma!' He announced. "I won't let that name die in vain. I swore under my name, my little sister, my parents, and to the great King Arthur! I won't let you harm my friends!" Axel shouted, he then lifted the sword as he made the Eye Seal over it, golden smoke poured out as a new Damashii was born. It was a golden hoodie, but with silver armor on the chest, shoulders and arms. The hood also looked like a helmet but in the shape of a dragon, and in the hood was two piercing golden eyes. Finally on the chest was on the left side showed a dragon while the right side showed the Saber family crest. It then floated down, in front of Axel.

"So, after several generations, a Saber has finally unleashed my power once again…." The Damashii spoke.

Axel bowed before looking at the Damashii. "I am Axel Saber, one of the two last surviving members of the Saber Family." He answered before making his sword of light appear. "Please, lend me your power, to vanquish any evil who harms my loved ones."

"Hmph.. You truly are a unique Saber, boy. I shall give you more than just my power. I shall give you my soul!" It shouted as it flew into his sword of light. A golden light shines out from it as it dies down. In his hand was a mechanical sword, resembling that of Excalibur, but in the hilt was a single slot for an Eyecon, with a brand new Eyecon inside it. It had a silver cover, with a golden eye and a white iris inside. Axel took it out, and on top of the Eyecon, showed a new feature. It showed a new picture on it, a new faceplate, and above it showed a sword symbol, while below it showed the words 'Excalibur' on it.

"Take my power Axel Saber, and use it to smite your enemies" The Eyecon of Arthur said, glowing in his hand.

Axel nodded before looking at the Ganma. "A strong soul leads to greatness…" He pressed the Eyecon, the iris changning to show the sword symbol again as he places into the driver.

EYE!

BATCHIRIMIRO! BATCHIRIMIRO!

As the Damashii flew out, Axel placed the sword into the ground, as he does, he grabs the sides of the hilt and turns it clockwise, as it does the hilt turns around and once it's parallel with the handle and sword, Axel grabbed the lever and pushed it in before he slams his fist on top of the bulb of the handle.

KING KAIGAN! EXCALIBUR!

KING OF SWORDS! DRAGON MASTER! EX~CALI~BUR~!

The Damashii of King arthur then dons onto Axel as armor was formed. While the black and blue transient armor was still there, as the damashii placed itself onto him, the blue lines are replaced by white while the black changes into bright blue. The faceplate resembles that of Specter, but with only the sharp eyes while below it showed what looks like a beard instead of the 'teeth', white was behind it while the eyes were golden. And what came out of the back was a long golden cape. Axel then picked up the sword as the hit moved back to its normal position. The dragon-like hooded helmet remained over his head, while gaining a mouth guard where his mouth and chin would be, but it resembled more of a dragon than a beard this time around.

"Woah…" Cody got out as the Alexander Ganma growls in anger.

"That power… does not belong to you!" It roared as it charges at the rider, sword raised high as it brings it blade down upon him.

Specter quickly looked up and struck the Ganma in lightning speed, the Ganma being sent across the field and almost out of the entire estate completely. "You are in my home, Ganma. You are not welcome here." he said as he used his semblance, summoned his sword of light but only this time, the chains were on both forearms.

The Ganma roars as he jumps back in, ready to strike at him as it comes flying back down. Specter jumped back to avoid the strike. He quickly spun around, the sword striking the Ganma across it's chest before he delivered a few more strikes, sending it rolling across the ground.

It groaned as it slowly stood up, it then started to glow red as it glared at Axel. "I… Will not… LOSE!"

Specter got into his stance wielding his two sword at the ready. "I won't fail my family name. Not now, not ever…" He vowed before twisting the hilt twice.

GRAND SLASH!

A golden glows emerges from the blade as it striked at the Ganma, stopping his attack and pushing him back. "Time to erase you!" Axel shouted, he then took out the Eyecon before placing it into the sword.

KING DAI-KAIGAN!

A holy choir starts to sing from the blade as Axel lifted it up high. As he does, light starts to pour into it, but not just from the sun, but several others as well. Light formed from the plants, trees, animals nearby and even from Cody and the others inside. The light flew out as it started to form around the blade, as if it was absorbing the light of life from everything.

"Ex…. CAIBUR!" Axel yelled as he swung the sword down, a ray of light from the sword shot out like a cannon, but had the shape of a blade as it struck the Ganma, piercing it through and even flying out past it towards the forest behind it, literally cutting the forest as well.

OMEGA-BLADE!

Once finished, the Ganma was gone, nothing was left but ash from the attack. "Woah… That's one powerful slash…" Cody got out.

Specter removed the Eyecon from the sword, reverting to civilian form and canceled his Semblance. He looked at the sword before smiling and setting it down. Luna and the others, along with the conscious teammates with them.

"Are you alright?" Luna asked, hugging her brother.

"I'm alright," He smiled as he showed the others the weapon. "Excalibur became a special form change now and King Arthur's soul is in here." He then presented the King Arthur Eyecon.

Ruby gasped. "Another new Eyecon!" She beamed.

"Yeah, you guys should have seen it." Cody smiled, jabbing his thumb at the forest at their side.

"EEHH!?" They shouted, seeing the large 'slash' from the house all the way to the mountain side. Ruby quickly rushed to the sword, holding it until she fell from its weight.

"Seems, it still has its properties… Only a Saber can wield it." Weiss said. The sword then floated up as it flew inside Axel's Ghost Driver.

"I have decided…" Axel said.

"Decided what?"

"The Saber mansion will be back to full condition." He answered. "With the money that we have, we can get it in better condition."

"You mean all those gems and valuable treasure?" Yang raised an eyebrow.

The others except Luna, Cody, Yang, Nora, and Ruby looked at Axel and Luna. "What gems and valuable treasure?" They asked.

"Oh, back in a secret room, there's enough treasures, gems and more than gold that could rival the entire Remnant economy."

Axel leaded them to the said room, revealing the secret room as it reveals the said items and the armor and weapons of the past. The others looked at in awe, their jaws dropped at the size of it and the rarity of these items.

Axel sighed. "Same reactions with you guys."

"Well, it is a spectacle to see after all. None of us have ever seen something like this before." Weiss pointed out.

Later on…

Igor was standing near the pie of ash where the Ganma last was. He knelled down and reached inside the pile of ash. After a bit of moving around, he stands back up, something in his hand. In his palm was a menacing Eyecon, but more evolved, with a dark red case. "Hmm… While I failed to get Arthur… You becoming this, is a step forward." Igor smirked slightly, disappearing into the night.

Axel was sitting on the chair in the old office, looking at the old photo. He smiled slightly, "I won't fail you guys… I promise…"

"Looking at your family again?" Weiss smiles, walking to him.

He looked up, seeing her enter. "Yeah… 13 years since this home was ever occupied by the Sabers…" He smiled lightly.

"Well, now you can enjoy it anytime you want. I'm sure even Ozpin would understand if you and Luna want to be in here than in the dorms." Weiss said, sitting next with him.

"Yeah… but… I know my parent's killer is still out there…" He looked down. "They hid us in that secret room to protect us."

"I'm sure you'll find them.." She smiles, leaning against him.

"Hopefully…" He nodded. Weiss smiled before she got up from her seat and closed the door, making him confused. The heiress then walked up to him and pushed the chair he was on back a bit before straddling him, making him blush.

"How about we… have some fun before we head back?" Weiss asked, having a bigger blush on her face, not use to taking the lead and this being the second time. He slowly nodded in which Weiss once again made the grey glyphs appear in the room.

Meanwhile, Cody is running through Beacon's halls, panting. "They better not start the movie marathon without me!" Cody said to himself, but as he turns a corner, he accidentally collides with someone, knocking them both down. "Ugh… Sorry about tha-" He says as he looks at the person he collided with. Laying there was a girl with mint green hair, and tanned skin. She rubbed her head as well, while he gains a small blush from her.

"Y-You alright?" He asked, offering her a hand up.

"Yeah, thank you." She replied as Cody helps her up.

Cody takes a good look at her uniform. "You're… not from here are you?" He asked.

"No I'm from Haven Academy." She answered. "Are you enrolled in Beacon?"

"Yes I am. I'm the first one to be part of a 5 person team." He smiles.

"You in a four person team?" She blinked.

He chuckles slightly, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah…" He then holds his hand out. "Cody Aldrich."

She smiled before obliging with a handshake. "I'm Emerald Sustrai." she responded.

"It's nice to meet you Emerald. But uh… I gotta go. Movie marathon with friends. Heh.." He chuckled. "I'll treat ya to something later, to apologize for bumping into you." He said, waving at her before running off to his dorm.

Emerald waved back, a slight smile on her face. "Who was that?" Asked a familiar voice. She turned to see Mercury and Cinder walking to her. "Eh, no one important Cinder." She answered.

"Very well.. But do not draw too much attention. We can't have preying eyes at us." Cinder warned her.

Emerald nodded to her. "How's the false documents coming along, Mercury?" She asked, turning to him.

"So far so good." He replied. "No suspicions were received."

"Good… Now we can wait and plan." she smirks, looking at her scroll to see a program finally finished. "And soon, the chess piece will be played before they know it…" What they didn't know was that a certain Prince watched from the trees, giving him view of the window where they were. "Not on my watch…" He grinned. "A new piece enters the game."

A/N: Heya Minna! hope you liked this one? This was another Eyecon idea I had. I just find it odd that they wouldn't use King Arthur of all Eyecons that should've been made! So, here it is. And I will let you all know, in this fic, I repeat, THIS FIC, The Excalibur Damashii form will be Specter's Super Form. While Houdini is replaced as just another form change.

So, don't go all pissy with me about the canon of the show and this fic okay? I just figured due to Axel being a descendant of King Arthur, (Aka his last name being related to Saber from Fate/Series) and this Eyecon was created for this fic, it just seemed fair to use it like that. And I know the tune for Specter is just being used instead of something new, but I couldn't think of one at all, so went with that. And "BATCHIRIMIYA" aka Necrom's sound doesn't work cause 1: thats for the Necrom Eyecon and 2: Cause that sounds feels like it will be used by Dark Ghost. :/
