The next day Lela felt extremely weak, she didn't know why but her body just wouldn't move on its own anymore. She only had enough strength to wake up Ren and frown at him. He wondered what was wrong with her and asked her a few questions before he picked her up and took her to the Tao family doctor who took a look at her. After a few tests and asking a few questions of his own he knew what was wrong with her.

She was told to stay put as he left the room for a bit, she leaned against Ren tiredly, she didn't know why but she felt beyond drained that morning. When the doctor came back he gave her a small piece of a sweet treat that was in the house hold. After eating it she was told to wait in the room for a bit to see if it had any affect on her and sure enough she felt fine afterwards. She then had to draw blood so he could see what was wrong with her. She held on to Bunbun and Ren's arm tightly with her head against his shoulder as she whined out from the pain of the needle in her skin.

But afterwards she was given a Lollipop which she was happy about, she ate it as she walked around leaning against Ren. Her arm hurt from giving blood and she didn't like it one bit. She knew she'd have to suck it up and work around the pain. As they walked around Lela talked to Ren. "What are we going to do today?"

"Uncle told me everything before I left on what I am to do with you. Today you are going to meet my elder sister Jun. You will spend your day with her while I deal with a personal matter."

She frowned when she heard that she wasn't going to spend the day with Ren. "When will I see you again."

"In a few hours, it won't take long I promise."

She sighed and nodded her head. "Okay. I trust you Ren."

He held her hand tightly and gave her a half smile. "Don't worry everything will be fine. Jun will keep you safe, she will protect you as I have."

She nodded her head again as she placed the sweet treat back in her mouth. She was quiet once more as Ren took her to where Jun had been, she felt creeped out seeing the elder green haired female. Her body trembled as she looked up at her. Jun gave her a small smile as she bent down to Ren and Lela's level. "So this is Lela. Its a pleasure to meet you."

"Y-You're...You're not going to hurt me...A-Are you?"

Jun looked to her surprised and shocked. "Goodness no, I'd never do that. My uncle would be displeased if I were to do something like that. You are a precious gem here Lela, all of the family here talks about what you've gone through. But don't worry everything will be just fine as long as you are here with us." Jun said as she softly placed her hand on the top of Lela's head

Lela flinched a bit and shut her eyes before she opened one of them to see that she hadn't been hit, Jun was just trying to show affection towards her. She then opened her other eye and gave Jun a small smile. "Y-You're not like those I knew before. Elders always hurt me, kicked me around like I was nothing. I am happy to be here. To know Ren and now knowing you Jun. Thank you for taking me in like this."

Jun smiled even more to her. "Aren't you a cute little child, you are welcomed here because of your ties to my brother, take good care of him and he'll do the same to you. I assure you that everything will be just fine as long as you stay focused on what both of you have to do."

"What we have to do?" Lela asked confused

Ren sighed. "She doesn't know yet, I haven't gotten the time to talk to her much, I've been too concern with her own health. She's been lacking food intake for the last eight years, so I took her to the doctor he's doing a few tests know as we speak."

"Oh dear...Well I'll let Ren tell you since it will be his mission as well as your own." Jun said as she stood up taking her hand off of Lela's head

"I'll leave her with you now, there's work I need to do."

"That you do, I'll keep an eye on her don't you worry."

Ren said his goodbye to Lela before he left off. Once he was gone Jun picked up a few pieces of yellow paper. "How would you like to show me what you can do?"

"O-Okay." She said with a nod

They went to an open area room where drones of zombies came at her as she worked with Mikyuki to get rid of the swiftly and quickly. To her they weren't just regular Zombies, in her eyes she saw illusions of her brother and sister. Chanting at her that it was her fault they were dead, that she was the useless one, that she'd never be able to take on the Yin name without disgracing it. She refused to believe the illusions though, she knew what was real. She was alive and they weren't. They couldn't move quick enough and she could, they failed the training given to them, she hadn't. She had someone waiting for her. They used to but both were killed as punishment for them failing their training.

After the horde was done and gone Jun was impressed with how she was able to use the walls and her small body to her advantage even with something in her arm. Jun knew that the stuffed plush that was within her arm was one that Ren specifically had gone out to get Lela. Even if Ren didn't like showing that he had a soft side to him, it was something that Jun knew deep down he had within him that Lela had to force out of him some-how.

Jun let her have a breather as the doctor came to see them. "Ah there you are Miss Yin, I'm finish with your results will you come with me please?"

Lela got up from sitting down only to fall face first, Jun went up to her and carried her. Jun felt concerned that maybe she was a bit too rough on the little child. But there wasn't anything that she could do about it, she wasn't ever taught to hold back. Jun carried Lela to the room the doctor worked in and the doctor did what he could to wake Lela up. Once she was awake she was told she had a very rare condition of diabetes where her sugar levels where too low to sustain her body.

The doctor told her that the only way to keep her from passing out and dying was to keep the sugar level of her body constant or she'll fall deathly ill which wouldn't be good for her or Ren. She thanked the doctor only to have Jun take her to the kitchen where she gave Lela a big piece of cream cheese cake that had strawberries on it. On the side of it was vanilla ice cream which made Lela's eyes widen in awe, she hadn't had anything like it before.

She thanked Jun before she ate it a bit too quickly but she couldn't tell that she had, even though she gave herself brain freeze. She whined a few times cause of it but got over herself, once she was done eating Jun set up a small bag of candy for her to take with her where ever she went. She hugged Jun as she thanked her before she was given a tour around the place as she was on top of Jun's shoulders.

She met up with Ren's mother and his grandfather as well, she didn't want to know what happened with his father. So she didn't ask. When Jun was too busy she went wondering around on her own only to find the big room where his uncle was. "Ren's uncle...may I talk to you?" She asked shyly

"Little Lela, of course you can with me. Come closer."

She shyly did and when she was in front of him she gave him a weak smile. "I wanna be stronger for Ren, I don't wanna hold him back and be useless. H-How do I do that?"

"You are already plenty strong on your own, what makes you think you need to be stronger?"

"I passed out while training with Jun, I trained much for eight years and I still wasn't able to hold my ground afterwards. I don't want to be a burden to him."

His expressionless face turned to a half grin. "Very well, you wish to get stronger. I can make you stronger, but you must devote yourself to your choice. Once I start this you will not be able to come back from it."

She looked to him determined. "I am devoted to it, I have always devoted myself to being able to be strong enough to be as strong as Ren. If I can't be a strong as him I don't deserve to be by his side."

"Words well said, you will become a very good Tao once you are married to my nephew. Come closer and we will start."

She did as he told her to do and she was placed through a dark maze in the basement that sharpened her senses and tested her strength. She didn't know what Ren was up to but she wasn't going to let anything get in her way of becoming the best person for Ren. Ren was her everything if she couldn't please him then her job was for not.

While Lela was going through the Maze, Ren had been given orders to dispose of Lela's parents for controlling her and having her almost kill him. Ren was playing cat and Mouse with Lela's parents, he enjoyed it too much. The thrill and adrenaline that went through his body was too much for him. He couldn't wait to see the blood that lied within their bodies. He wanted to be able to tell Lela that she would always be safe with him as long as she stayed close to him.

Within hours he found her mother with her army of voodoo dolls once more. He scoffed. "Again with your stupid dolls? Don't you realize that won't work on me?" He said before he charged at the elder female.

The dolls charged at him back, he used his Kwan-doe to rip and tear the dolls apart as he got close to the female to finally kill her, hearing her scream in Terror and pain was the best thing to hear for him. One down one to go. He was very quiet as he went searching for the elder male that sentenced Lela to the pain and suffering she went through.

He soon found him in the throne room hiding as a coward behind spirit guards that blocked his way. He refused to give up and went straight through the middle blasting his way through it all to get to her father where he threw his Kwan-doe at the male's chest before he could move. He enjoyed seeing the look on his face that matched his wives face, he pulled out is Kwan-doe before he looked around with a content sigh. "Bason time to go home, Lela, Jun and Uncle are waiting for us."

"Yes Master ren."

By the time Ren got back he was only welcomed back by Jun. He was confused where was Lela? "Jun, where is my betrothed? Where's Lela?"

Jun frowned and looked down sadly. "She had slipped away from me and talked to uncle. He has placed her through the hardest course. She went to him saying she wanted to get stronger for your sake."

"WHAT?! Is she mad!?"

"Nope, just devoted to my betrothed. Welcome back. I'm glad my parents hadn't killed you...then again they're just weak shamans huh? They don't know true power now do they?" Lela said from the railing of the second floor.

Ren looked up to her and saw that she seemed different. She didn't look like the fragile girl he had left in the care of his sister. He walked up to her and frowned. "What's gotten into you?"

"Nothing, I'm only proving my worth here. You must be tired Renny...Come now. Lets get you to bed."

Jun tried not to laugh at the nickname Lela gave him, Ren's face went bright red at it though. "Don't you dare call me that!"

"Aww, don't like the name...Renny?" She teased as she stood up on the railing

"Stop that now Lela!"

"Make me Renny, if you can catch me I'll stop." She said as she jumped down to the floor of the second floor.

He jumped up to where she was and she saw it too, she bolted off with a hysterical laugh. "Renny can't get me!"

"Woman I said stop it!" Ren said as he rushed after her.

Lela was happy to see Ren home, she didn't know how long she was in that Maze for but it did make her stronger. She could feel inside of her that she was. And it was all for Ren's sake.
