"So, you ready to get that pack tattoo?" Embry asked as I was cooking.

"Yeah, actually I think I'm going to get one more if it's no trouble," I said with a smile.

"Really? What do you want?" he asked.

"It's Korean," I said, "um, I sesangeun geojitmal. It means the world is full of lies. It's from my favorite song by 2NE1, 'Ugly'."

"Oh cool, can you sing it for me?" he asked with a smile.

"I'll sing for everyone when we eat, how about that?" I smiled in return.

"Okay!" Embry said excitedly.

"Need any help in here?" Emily asked as she come into the kitchen.

"I think I'm good, but thanks," I said. "Besides you cooked for me earlier this is me paying you back."

"You don't have to," she insisted.

"Sure I do, besides, I plan on helping you out from now on."

"Okay," she said with a pleasant smile.

"Dinner's almost done, can you round up the guys in the dining room for me please?" I said to her as she watched me cook.

"Sure," she said and went and left me and Embry alone again.

"You need any help baby?" Embry asked.

"Yeah, can you get the plates out of the cabinet?" I said as I pointed toward the one that held the plates. "Oh and forks in the drawer right there."

"Okay," Embry said and went to work getting the stuff and taking it to the dining room right off of the kitchen.

I finished up the food and took it in the dining room. Emily helped me bring everyone drinks and then everyone dug in. I was nervous because I didn't know if they'd like the food at first. But to my luck, they loved it. Emily begged me to teach her how to cook it. I laughed and told her any time.

After we ate we went in the living room and I broke out my guitar and sang a few songs for everyone. They were impressed. And we discovered a new thing we could do as a pack, listen to me sing.

Next up was my tattoo. I didn't plan on wussing out. Embry asked if I wanted to hold his hand. I laughed and told him I had it. I took the pack tattoo very well. It hardly hurt. What did hurt was my extra forearm tattoo, but that pain was nothing. Nothing compared to phasing. Now that hurt. It hurt like hell. A tattoo was nothing.

"Took it like a champ," Paul said as he clapped me on the shoulder as we walked out of the tattoo place.

"Not a single tear," Jared said.

"Come on guys, really?" I said, offended. "Did you really think I'd cry over a little measly tattoo?"

"Just cause she's a girl doesn't mean she's not tough," Embry said in annoyance.

"Thank you baby," I said as I kissed Embry on the cheek.

"You're welcome," he said with a smile.

"Sorry," Paul said. "It's just that I'm not used to a girl being around."

I sighed, slightly annoyed by what he was really thinking. They were thinking girls were weaker. "Whatever, I'm going back to my place to get to sleep if no one objects."

Sam nodded, "I'd usually make you patrol with us, but you've been going since you landed this morning. Go get some sleep, we'll take care of it tonight."

"Thanks for understanding Sam," I said with a grateful sigh. "I'll see all you tomorrow morning at Emily's?"

"Yeah, tomorrow," Sam nodded. "Guys lets let these two say goodnight." The guys went away and left me and Embry alone.

Embry pulled me in, his hands around my waist, and kissed me slowly, deeply. He pulled away and pressed his forehead against mine. "Do you really have to go?" he asked sadly.

"Sadly, yes, I think I've got jet lag. It's just finally starting to rear its ugly head. All the things going on today distracted me from it. I'll see you first thing tomorrow though. Come wake me up. I'll leave the door spelled to open for you only."

"Okay, I love you," he said as he kissed me again.

"I love you too," I said with a smile before I ran off towards my house.

I went home, went upstairs and got dressed for bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. I didn't remember falling asleep. All I remember is Embry's soft voice in the morning waking me up.

"Come on baby, it's time to get up," Embry said again, softly still but a tad louder than before. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. Embry laughed, "Come on, is that any way to treat your boyfriend?"

"But it's so comfortable," I groaned in protest. "Get in bed with me. You know you wanna."

"As much as I would love to get in bed with you and ignore the day," Embry said, "I'm starving."

"Oh you suck," I said with a grunt. "Do I have to?"

"Yes! Come on, up," Embry said as he pulled the covers down off me.

"Oh, you ass!" I said as I threw one of my pillows at him, making him laugh.

"No I think you're the ass, teasing me in those shorts," Embry said, a different tone to his voice. What was that tone? Lust.

"Oh you like my booty shorts?" I asked sleepily with a grin.

"That's an understatement," he said, the lust in his voice so thick.

"I didn't do it on purpose," I said honestly.

"Well either way, you're killing me."

"Well why don't you do what you're dying to do and grab up on this booty," I said with a raised brow. I was still sleepy, but fooling around in bed with Embry for a little while didn't bother me one bit.

Embry smiled a mischievous smile, laid down on the bed and pulled me on top of him, all the time squeezing my ass while he did. I straddled him and started to kiss him, passionately, lustfully.

"No sex," I warned, "I'm not sure if I'm quite ready for that yet."

"Okay," he nodded as he rubbed my ass and gave it another squeeze. "You are so beautiful, so perfect."

"So are you," I said as I kissed him again. He was starting to get hard, and I started questioning if I should let it go any longer. "Maybe we should stop now."

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea," he admitted as he gently rolled over and put me down.

"I love you, thanks for understanding," I said as I kissed him on his bare chest, he was shirtless.

"I love you too," he said as he kissed me on the forehead.

"You wanna take a cold shower in one of my other bathrooms?" I asked. "I think I'm gonna take one in mine."

"Yeah, that sounds good," he said.

We got up and went to separate bathrooms and showered. I got out and put on a cropped tank top and shorts, I wore safety shorts under them to keep my butt from hanging out. I had bought plenty in Korea while I was there.

I used my magic to do a quick bit of makeup. A little eyeliner, mascara and a nude matte lipstick. I looked in the mirror and smiled. I was actually feeling quite pretty today, and I knew Embry had a lot to do with it.

"Gorgeous," Embry said as he walked down in the living room while I was putting some shoes on. "I don't see why you're wearing shoes though."

"Magic, baby, magic," I said with a smile. All it took was a little magic to take them away and conjure them when I needed them.

"Oh, yeah," he said. "Ready?"

"Yeah, we'll take my car," I said as I made him follow me out to my garage.

"Oh my god, is that a Lamborghini?" Embry said as my first car came into view.

"Yeah, you wanna drive?" I asked with a smile.

"Um, hell yeah," Embry said with a grin as I handed him the keys.

"Be easy with her, she's new," I said as I patted him on the shoulder and made my way to the passenger's seat.

"You weren't kidding when you said your dad was rich," Embry said in disbelief as he got in the driver's seat and ran his hands over the steering wheel.

"Loaded," I said, rolling my eyes. Yeah, my dad's family was filthy rich and he was the last in line. It made me a very wealthy girl, but I didn't really try to let it go to my head. Well, until it came to some things. Cars, especially.

"Jake's going to shit himself when he sees this thing," Embry said.

"Jake likes cars too?" I asked.

"Rebuilding a Volkswagen Rabbit all by himself," he replied.

"Really? I'm rebuilding a '67 Chevy Impala just because of my love of the show Supernatural," I said with a smile. "Looking for a black '67 GTO to do too."

"No way!" Embry said excitedly. "You're officially the coolest girl ever."

I laughed, "Well thank you for recognizing that."

Embry laughed too, "Oh, you're very welcome. You ready to go, though?"

"Yeah," I nodded, "I'm pretty hungry myself."

Embry started the car and looked super happy when the engine roared to life. We left my house and drove the short drive to Emily's. The guys were all standing around outside when we pulled up. Oh, the looks on their faces killed me.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Paul said as Embry and I got out.

"Nope," I said with a sly smile. "This is one of my babies. Lamborghini Huracan. Isn't she gorgeous?"

"You have got to let me drive it," Jared said.

"I don't let just anyone drive my babies," I said as I stuck my tongue out at him, "but I'll think about it."

"You suck," Jared said with a laugh.

"Is breakfast ready?" Embry asked as his stomach growled.

"It is," Emily said as she came out.

"Good," Embry said as he stepped inside and took his place at the table.

"Thanks for cooking," I said to Emily as I gave her a hug before I walked in and sat down.

"You're welcome," she said in return.

Everyone came in, sat down, and started eating. It was quiet for a little while before I spoke up. "So guess what's in a few days," I said with a smile.

"What?" Sam asked curiously.

"My birthday!" I said excitedly. "The big one seven."

"Awesome!" Embry said.

"We will definitely have to throw you a little something," Emily said with a warm smile.

"You don't have to," I insisted, "I'm not expecting anything."

"Oh, no," Emily said, "You're getting a party."

I laughed and smiled, "Well thank you, it means a lot."

"Yeah, we'll have a big bon fire out on the cliffs," Paul said with a smile.

"Sounds fun," I smiled back. "By the way I am not expecting presents. So please don't feel you have to get me something. A party is enough, as long as there's cake."

Emily laughed, "I'll make you whatever cake you want."

"Chocolate cake with butter cream frosting," I said with a smile.

"Done!" Emily smiled back.

"Thank you!" I said excitedly.

"Do you think your friends from school will remember?" Embry asked.

"Probably," I nodded, "they'll probably send gifts through John. He'll probably overnight stuff instead of sending an owl."

"An owl?" Jared asked.

"Yeah we use owls as our post," I said with a nod. "Wizard world thing."

"That's the craziest thing," Paul said.

I shrugged, "Yeah it is weird if you're not used to it. I thought the same thing when I found out about it."

"What did you do when you found out you were a witch?" Embry asked.

"I didn't believe it, of course. Then John did some magic, I believed him then. I freaked out, of course. I couldn't believe it, but it was true. John is an animagus, which means he can turn into an animal at will. Not like us, though. He's a big German Sheppard."

"So there are other people that turn into animals out there?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, they're like us, more like a shape shifter. Then, of course, there are the werewolves. Real werewolves that turn on the full moon. But yeah, people turn into all sorts of animals."

"That's so cool," Embry said. "But how are they different from us?"

"Well," I said, "they don't get angry or upset and turn like we do. I don't know the full on differences. It's not passed down either like our traits are, and, not to mention, they're not triggered by vampires like we are. Plus, I doubt they could take on a vamp either."

"Speaking of vamps," Paul spoke up. "You still haven't told us how you killed that one."

"Well I mean," I started trying not to sound nervous and reveal I had help, "it's not that impressive. I just hunted down the one causing the problems, cornered him, and tore him to shreds."

"Did you use magic to help?" Embry asked.

"I did, actually," I nodded, not a lie. "I stunned him."

"You can do magic in wolf form?" Paul asked.

"Some things," I admitted, "not this spell. I transformed as soon as I did the spell and got to work." I felt so bad for lying to them. I questioned telling them the truth. I just didn't think it would give me that good of an image with them.

"Your magic is going to come in handy," Sam said with a hint of excitement in his voice.

I giggled, "I'm glad I can help."

"I'm just glad she's here," Embry said happily.

"We all are," Sam said, "It's good to have you home."

"Hey, Sam, I was wondering if you didn't mind me going to Seattle today to go shopping. I know, you probably wouldn't usually want the pack in a big city, but you did say yesterday I had more control than anyone. I'd like to take Embry with me, I promise I'll keep him in control. A simple stunning spell and he'll be out. I promise nothing bad will happen."

"Michelle, I don't really have a problem with you," he began before I cut him off.

"I know, I know it's dangerous. I promise though Sam!"

"Okay," he gave in after minutes of thinking. I squealed.

"Don't make me regret it," Sam said. "You should get going before I change my mind."

"Okay!" I said as I jumped up and pulled Embry out the door.

"Call me every hour!" Sam yelled as we ran out the door.

"I can't believe you just got away with that!" Embry said as we ran to the Lambo.

"I always get my way," I said with a wicked smile.

"Did you just use magic on Sam to get your way?" Embry asked suspiciously.

"No! Not intentionally," I said with a smile as I got in the driver's seat and sped out of the drive as soon as Embry was safely in the car.

"Not intentionally?" he asked.

"I can't help what personal magic of my own does on its own," I said with a shrug, "More things from my dad that were passed down in his family."

"So you mean to tell me that sometimes you get your way because of magic?" Embry asked, his brows raised, and an odd tone to his voice.

"You're not mad are you?" I asked, my voiced and face full of worry. Embry couldn't be mad at me because of something out of my own control.

"No! I just, I know it's not your fault. It just seems, I don't know, unfair?" Embry sounded sort of disappointed.

"I'm sorry," I said, my voice breaking.

"No, baby, don't be sorry, I'm not upset with you," he said as he put his hand over my hand.

"You sounded like you were disappointed," I said with a frown.

"Not in you," he assured me. "Things just seem so unfair. Like we get cursed with this damn wolf thing. Then you get these powers that you didn't ask for that make things seem so easy for you. I'm happy that you have it easy, it just feels like magic runs our lives in one way or another."

"I've never really thought of it in that way," I said as I looked between Embry and the road, safely of course.

"You seem like you've had this amazing life and we've just been stuck here," he whispered. That, honestly, kind of hurt.

"How amazing can it really be when both your parents are dead," I muttered.

"Oh god Michelle, I didn't mean…Oh god Michelle, no! I'm sorry! I didn't…"

"No," I whispered, "you didn't think."

"Now you're mad," his voice broke.

"You think that just because I got out and got to do all these things that I've had such a great life. It's been so hard. I'm not like everyone else, friends are hard to come by with powers that make it seem like you get everything handed to you on a silver platter. Not to mention I'm a fucking orphan! Do you realize how many people actually hated me back there at school?"

"Michelle," he cried, "I'm sorry. Please."

"It's not that easy, Embry," I said as his mind kept running on about how lucky I was to get out and how lucky I was to at least know my own father. "And I'm sorry about the drama with your dad. I know it's probably been hard growing up without one, but seriously…it's not that simple, not that easy."

"Are you mad at me?" he asked after five minutes of somewhat uncomfortable silence.

"No," I shook my head. "I'm a little hurt, but I'm getting over it. You don't understand and you cannot help that you don't understand. I'm sure you aren't the only one that thinks that way or is going to think that way. I'm sorry that I make you feel like your life has been nothing, but I'm not sorry for what I am, who I am."

"I don't want you to be sorry," he said as he took my hand again. "Don't feel bad about who and what you are because I'm over here being pathetic and thinking only about myself. I'm sorry. I am happy for you, for everything good that has happened in your life. I'm here for you for anything and everything, and I never, ever, want you to feel alone."

"You've got my back and I've got yours, right?" I asked, tears in my eyes as I watched him.

"Forever and always," he promised as he took my hand and kissed it.
