Hellooo again! Sorry for the long delay, but I just had too much work. Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Anyways, right now, I just stuffed myself full of food and am feeling too lazy to write any more of a greeting, so on to the story.
CHAPTER 3:
"Well, that was wonderful!" said Lenalee looking at Allen. "Not only did we find some innocence, but we also got an accommodator!" Allen who was cradling a sleeping Eeez, the little boy's face still streaked with tear marks, smiled back but his eyes told a different story. Lavi, who seemed to have finally got over the bout of depression he was suffering from, said nothing but kept shooting hateful glares at Timcampy who had finally settled down on Allen's head after a long roost on Lenalee. Kanda, him being who he was, simply said "Che!" and closed his eyes, leaning on a rock as they waited for the paranoid gate to open up.
As soon as the gate opened, a horrible scream tore through the air. Don't worry folks, it was just Komui screaming "Lenalee!" But the screaming woke up little Eeez who lifted his head and rubbed his eyes. "Tyki..?" he said shaking his head as he looked around. Allen stood silent unsure of what to say, but he was spared the ordeal by Eeez who seemed to have remembered what had transpired. His eyes grew huge and threatened to overflow with tears once more, but Allen gently rocked him, saying "What happened is for the best. Don't worry, I'll take care of you." The boy looked as if he were going to protest but suddenly all the fight went out of him and he slumped in Allen's arms. He had just remembered that he had also hurt Tyki.
Komui, who had gotten over his temporary overflow of brotherly love, adjusted his glasses and came closer to have a better look at Eeez. "He's an accommodator." explained Allen, "And a parasitic one by the looks of it." Then he briefly explained what had occurred twisting the story to make it look like they had found Eeez on their own and making it look as if Tyki had attacked them. Eeez looked at Allen, but Allen gently looked at him and shook his head. The original version would only land them in neck deep shit. The little boy who seemed to have taken a liking to the white haired exorcist with kind eyes and smiles better than the golem loving lady and the strange pair of the psychotic samurai and depressed redhead, closed his eyes and did not let out a sound.
"Seems to have some sort of breath weapon, does he?" asked Komui, staring at Eeez. "Well", he said, turning "Bring him along. We'll test him at the lab and take him to Hevlaska." "Oh, Komui!" called Allen. He suddenly grew two horns out of his head and glared at the scientist. " You'd better be gentle with him." he said with an ominous undertone. Komui turned pale and hurried forward nodding like crazy. Allen didn't like to intimidate people , but he remembered the first time Komui had done something to his arm, he'd been unable to use it for a day. And considering that Eeez seemed to have stuff coming out of his lungs, he didn't want Komui stopping the poor boy's respiration.
As soon as they reached the lab, Komui took Eeez inside as Allen and the others waited outside. Allen hoped Komui didn't scare the boy too much. He was feeling some sort of protectiveness towards the fragile boy who until recently had been in the Noah of Pleasure's care. He decided that he would have to be the boy's Tyki for some time. Komui came out of the room with a serious look on his face. "You're right. He is a parasitic type. The innocence seems to have filled his lungs and it also seems to have gotten rid of a fairly serious problem with his lungs. So, he doesn't have to wear that mask anymore. But removing the innocence will result in a respiratory shock that will almost certainly kill the boy unlike Allen. So we'd better take good care of the kid. But I can't seriously believe the Innocence chose someone this young." he said with a frown of concern on his face "It's unfair!" he declared.
"He's resting right now. Seems to have been pretty much shaken up by the experience. We don't know much about his abilities yet. Once he wakes up, we'll take him to Hevlaska." he concluded. Then everybody went off to pursue their own interests, Lenalee with Timcampy, Kanda dragging Lavi, Komui to wreak new scientific disaster. Allen entered the room and a strange heaviness took hold of his heart as his eyes fell on the sleeping boy. His mask was off and now that it was, he only seemed more like a child.
Allen was able to understand to some level how the boy must be feeling and personally, he thought that the boy was acting surprisingly brave. Tyki, from Allen's point of view, had been Eeez's Mana and once separated from his father figure, he had not broken down into temporary insanity like Allen. Even though the boy was fragile, Allen also saw strength in him and he would make sure it was nurtured and until he grew strong enough to defend himself, Allen would always watch out for him. As he reached out to tuck away a strand of hair from the boy's face, the little guy's eyes came open. Allen's hand stopped I mid-air, unsure of himself. But looking at the little child's face, Allen felt his uncertainty leave him and he gently brushed the hair away from Eeez's face. All the while, Eeez's eyes were watching his every movement.
Just as Allen's hand withdrew from his face, Eeez grabbed it with surprising strength for someone so small and his pleading eyes met the older boy's. Allen silver-gray orbs held Eeez's eyes for what seemed like an eternity, then slowly, gently nodded. Eeez, relief rushing to his eyes, tucked Allen's hand under his head and closing his eyes, slowly nodded off.
After a good three hours, Eeez opened his eyes to see that the white haired exorcist's hand was still in his own and the owner was still looking at him with kind, warm eyes. Eeez quickly let go of Allen's hand and muttered an apology. Allen simply smiled and rubbed his hand to bring back the circulation and drive away the numbness. He stroked Eeez's head and looking straight into his eyes, he said "We'll find a way. I promise."
Just before a startled Eeez could respond, Komui entered the room. "You're awake I see" said the scientist straightening his glasses. "Well then Eeez," said the older man smiling kindly at the boy, "Let's go see Hevlaska, shall we? And I'll tell you all about us on the way there." "Hevlaska?" asked Eeez, surprised by how strong his voice sounded compared to before. He also noticed that it was a lot easier to breathe now, even without his mask to keep the dust away. "Yes. Don't bother with the mask. Your lungs are perfectly all right now" said Komui. Eeez nodded and looked up at Allen who just smiled back and said "I'll stay with you, Okay?" Eeez smile back, the sadness weighing down his heart lightening and offered his hand to Allen who accepted it and they both followed Komui deep inside the Black Order.
Well, that's all now. I'll try to update as often as I can, but bye bye for now. This chapter is dedicated to my sole reviewer alchemyfreak71. And as always, read and review. I love receiving reviews ^_^ All sorts are welcome!
