He raised a glass before me, and I raised mine and we gently tapped the edges of the glasses together. The two of us sat at a restaurant and we were right now drinking deep red wine in a private area.

I never drank wine before, so this was the first time. And due to France not having a drinking age, I was allowed to have wine but I bet that he was going to be cautious on how much I was planning to drink.

"Alright, why do I have to call you E and you are allowed to call me Miranda? It doesn't seem far that I have to call you by your first initial while you call me by full name, now does it?"

"I suppose you are right, Miranda. My full first name is Epsilon, and only in private are you allowed to use it. I don't like my identity to be out in the open very much at all, so be careful on how much you use it. It could be used against the both of us."

"Alright Epsilon, I'll watch what I say in public."

He gave me a grin, and put his hand on top of mine. For the rest of the evening we were quiet as we ate dinner and drank wine. We quietly walked together, and he led me back to the hotel I was staying at for the month.

"Stay safe, Miranda. Don't even think about coming out tonight after midnight, it gets dangerous after midnight."

In front of my hotel room, he gave me a kiss on the lips. Putting the key in the doorknob, I unlocked my door as he walked away from me. Closing the door behind me, I walked a few feet to my hotel bed and fell onto it.

Closing my eyes, as I kicked off my shoes I let sleep come over me. I had a very long day, and I had already grown exhausted after we left the restaurant. Borrowing underneath the covers to the bed, I pulled my knees in close to me and shut my eyes tight together.

For a long while everything had been completely quiet, I tossed and turn in my sleep. And I sat up quickly, breathing heavily. Sweat was forming a nice thin layer on me, and I was shivering soon enough.

I pulled the covers off of me, I changed out of the clothes I fell asleep in and into a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Grabbing the keys, I left my hotel room almost in a sprint. Inside me, I was getting a very bad feeling. Something wasn't right here, and I am bound to find out what it was.

I kept on running, and I wouldn't stop running at all. For a few moments, I thought I heard two people fighting against one another and then I heard one of Paris's clock towers ding one o' clock in the morning.

Shaking my head, I took off running where the two men were fighting. I froze at the sound of gun bullets and someone cursing for a split second. Someone soon put their hand over my mouth and their arm around my waist. I struggled against the person grasp for a while, until the person grip was completely gone.

Looking down, I saw blood was running from the side of my captor neck and pooling underneath him. A hand touched my shoulder, and I flinched. Looking up, I saw Epsilon frowning at me. This time he wasn't happy to see me at all.

"I told you not to come out of your hotel room after midnight, Miranda."

"Epsilon. . ."

He groaned a small bit, and I saw that his right arm coat sleeve was drench and turning a different color. Touching it a small bit, I looked down at my fingers and saw that it was blood. He had been wounded in his fight.

Epsilon took a few steps back from me, and I could almost see the fear on his face. I know that his whole life is top secret and meant to kept a secret, but I could see that was he thinking I was going to expose him to the world.

Sighing deeply, I pulled out my phone and removed the battery from it and slipped the both of them into my jean pocket. I wasn't going to expose him at all.

"Not my intention at all, E. Let's get you back to the hotel room and patch you up there."

He gave me a small grin, and I took him by his left arm to avoid giving him any pain. Looking back, I stared at the dead body on the ground.

"What about him? Do we need to call authorities?"

"No some of my agents will cover this up and handle the rest. Right now, we need to leave the area to where you were never here at all. Because if they see you, they will do unspeakable things to you and I don't want that."

I gave him a soft grin, and the two of us walked off in quiet. Turning around a corner, I glanced back for a split second and saw people were already investigating the area and clearing up the whole mess. They were making it vanish.

I got E back to my room, and I did my best at patching him up while following his instructions on how to do this without getting and infection. Lying down on my bed together, he twirled a lock of my red hair and gently planted a kiss on that lock of hair. I could feel the blush coming to my cheeks, and I heard him give off a low laugh. So glad that he finds this funny.

He was soon gently humming to me, and I could feel myself grow a bit drowsy, but not by much. His hand caressed my cheek, and soon he was on top of me. His lips touched mine for a small second, than my chin and neck. He didn't go any lower than that.

I didn't fight against him, because my heart was fluttering quickly and I could feel the love and passion for him come to the surface of my heart. I put my hands on the back of his head and kissed him on the lips. For a long while, our lips stayed in contact with one another and they never even parted.
