Forgotten Sky
Hey, everyone! Thanks again for the reviews, favs and follows! Oh, and I probably should've have mentioned this earlier but this is set about 2 years after the manga. So, Tsuna is around 16 here. Hope you enjoy!
Einnyth: Thank You! Both for the line break advice and the typo. *Facepalm* Can't believe I missed that...
Kyogre: Reborn's probably still in Italy? As for Vongola, Timoteo would still be in control, but they would be having succession issues.
Sanauria Maldhun: I hope that I can write him like that, I'll try my best! Hehe woops, thanks for bringing that up. I'll put it in the summary as well.
Warnings: possible OOC, minor/major OC enemy

Target 3: Decisions
"In essence: Sawada Tsunayoshi no longer exists in this world."
The words hit Tsuna like a tidal wave, crashing down on him and swallowing him whole. His breathing was shaky, his body was trembling, his mind was almost numb. If he remembered Reborn's training correctly (how could he forget?), this meant he was going into shock. That probably wasn't such a good idea, he should really try to calm down...
"Decimo..." Tsuna focused on the man before him in a detached sort of calm, waiting for him to continue.
"This world is in danger. Your family is in danger. If you are to protect them, you must fight." Tsuna froze, wide-eyed as the words sunk in. He couldn't stand the thought of losing his friends, even if (technically) he already had.
It was like the future all over again. Some maniac had decided to destroy the world, and Tsuna had to fight to protect his friends. Except it wasn't the same. Tsuna didn't have his friends fighting beside him, he didn't have Shoichi or Spanner helping him from the other side, he didn't have Reborn to snap him out of any destructive thoughts. He didn't have his family.
Tsuna started chewing his lip, deep in thought. What should he do? He's alone, could he really protect anyone alone? He needed help... but, he didn't have any. Or, maybe... What would Reborn say in this kind of situation?
Dame-Tsuna, stop being so pathetic, what are you waiting for?
Tsuna smiled softly. Yeah, he'd say something like that...
After that... encouraging thought, it didn't take long for Tsuna to come to a decision. His family was in danger... he had to protect them... he would protect them. Tsuna's eyes briefly flashed orange as he focused on his resolve.
Primo smiled gently at his descendent, proud that he was able to pull himself out of such a state, and happy that he had once again found his resolve. He could leave him like this, but he would have to watch him carefully in the future. His mental state was not quite stable, and with the situation at hand... he could easily lose himself to depression.
Tsuna had to go to Italy. It was where most of his resources were. The problem was, how to exploit those resources. And how could he get the rest of his guardians there? Or should he leave them in Namimori... but no, they could be in danger if he left them unguarded. But wouldn't they be in even more danger if he dragged them into battle?
"Aargh!" He started tugging at his hair in frustration. What should he do? He didn't even know where the enemy was. How could he track his movements. Like fate had decided to intervene, the wind picked up and a flyer flew smack into his face. He pulled it off with an annoyed glare (no, Tsuna did not pout), and a light bulb went off when he saw it. Yes, that could work. They would definitely be able to make a tracker for this sort of thing, they were mechanical geniuses after all. Now he just had to find them... and convince them he wasn't some kind of psychopath...
Finding them shouldn't take long, since the convention was still going. All he had to do was go to the convention, find them and convince them to help. Although that seemed to be easier said than done, considering the size of the convention. Tsuna sweat-dropped. Who knew there was this many mechanic nerds around.
He had been wondering around the milling people for hours now, and it didn't seem like he was going to find them any time soon. But then he spotted them, red and blond blobs of hair in the crowd, but it was definitely them. Now all he had to do was catch up, convince them he wasn't crazy and get them to help. For once, Tsuna was actually glad he was still so small. He could easily squeeze through the crowd with his slim figure. Size aside, he was still clumsy. He apologised for the umpteenth time, as he collided with another person. They spared him an annoyed glance, but thankfully didn't press the issue.
He continued on his way towards the two blobs, who wouldn't stay still. Honestly, was it too much to ask for the two mechanics to just pick a stall and stay there?! Tsuna blinked in surprise as the two blobs stopped at a stall and didn't look like they were planning on moving, they seemed to be holding a conversation with a black blob. A very familiar black blob...
He thanked whatever god had decided to take pity on him, and hurried along to his destination. He was almost there when he got blocked by a wall of bodies, he hesitated momentarily while despairing his poor luck. But he couldn't stop now, they were right there. So, throwing manners aside for the moment, he started to push through the bodies blocking him.
He was almost through the mob when his clumsiness decided to kick in. He slipped, shrieked and stumbled the rest of the way, straight into the blond blob wearing green overalls. He stuttered out an apology while trying to get back onto his feet, preferably without tripping over again.
"I-I'm s-so s-s-sorry, I d-didn't m-mean to..." he trailed off, red with embarrassment at the amused green eyes of his friend.
"It's fine, it was an accident." the blond teen told him in accented Japanese while pushing himself to his feet, and proceeding to help Tsuna up as well.
"S-Spanner are you okay?" the red-haired boy questioned his friend.
"I'm fine Shoichi, how about you?" He smiled reassuringly at Shoichi, before addressing Tsuna.
"I'm fine, too!" Tsuna quickly reassured, waving his hands in emphasis, before offering a shy smile. It was weird, talking to them like strangers when he knew them so well. It stung, but he couldn't let negative emotions stop him. He scratched the back of his neck, much like a certain baseball fan, while trying to decide how to ask his rather sensitive favour.
"Did you want to get to this stall?" Spanner asked, bringing him out of his thoughts. And solving his problem at the same time, he smiled as he took in the form of another familiar mechanic (who looked a little flustered).
"Actually I was looking for you two, but he would be helpful too." he gestured at Spanner and Shoichi, before the other mechanic currently manning the stall. The two raised their brows (Shoichi in surprise, Spanner in mild interest) as he gave them all a radiant smile.
"You see, I need you to build something for me..."
With that settled, all he needed to do was get to Italy and somehow get them to help. He frowned, this wasn't going to be easy. Not to mention scary as hell... He shuddered, he would have to make a good first impression. Tsuna frowned again, they had met before, but at the same time they hadn't. His frown deepened as an uneasy feeling settled in his gut. Would he be able to face them? Would he be able to handle talking to them when they had no idea who he was?
He sighed, shaking his head to get rid of the increasingly depressing thoughts. He had to handle it, if what that man said was true...
"This enemy is extremely dangerous, Tsunayoshi. He seems to have a limited control over 'Time' and 'Space' themselves. He has already destroyed your 'Time' and he seems to be trying to unbalance the entire worlds Space-Time Axis. He is doing this by opening small Dimensional Rips in various places over the world. If these Rips continue to grow, they will throw the world into chaos. Eventually causing it to collapse. The first step to defeating your enemy is closing as many of these holes as you can."
He needed all the help he could get. And that meant involving them. He shuddered again, but he didn't have a choice. It was all or nothing. So, he was going to Italy.
But before he left he had to do a few more things...
A baseball fanatic was heading to practise, and was entering the locker rooms when he saw a small figure retreating. He didn't pay it any mind though, even if it was a little odd that someone else was here during the holidays. He hummed a little tune to keep his mind occupied from any dark thoughts as he headed to his locker to change. What he hadn't been expecting, however, was to find a note in his locker. He carefully picked it up and unfolded it so he could read the message.
Yamamoto ~
Don't give up! Your life isn't meaningless, and there are people who love you. Remember that always. Never, never lose your smile. ~ Your Sky
Yamamoto felt his heart swell as he read the words, it was the first time he had ever heard something so heartfelt. And it was aimed at him no less! What confused him, though, was the odd name. Did he know anyone called Sky? No, he didn't think so. But the name seemed to pull at his mind, like it reminded him of something important. Yamamoto frowned, he just couldn't remember! It was the same with the handwriting - he recognised it, but couldn't place who it belonged to.
A gust of wind caused the note to fly out of his hands. He cried out as it flew away and he chased after it. Thankfully it landed upside down not far away. Yamamoto raised a brow as he realized there was writing on the back of the note too.
P.S. You may find something interesting in Italy ~
Yamamoto brow raised even higher at the intriguing information. He hummed as he thought about it. Something glimmering in his bag caught his attention. He pulled it out and let it dangle in front of him.
"Eh ~ Something interesting in Italy, huh? Ha ha, cool!" Yamamoto grinned as he carefully placed the items back into his locker.
He would definitely have to figure out who sent that note later. He froze in his tracks as the image of a small brunette with large, teary, brown eyes flashed in his mind. Yamamoto frowned. Why? Why would he think of that boy? Why did he seem so familiar? And why did it hurt so much to see him cry?
A certain skylark had just finished patrolling (a.k.a. biting herbivores to death) and was heading back to the Reception room to take a nice nap. He was just entering said room when he saw a tuft of fluffy brown hair disappearing out of the window. He stalked over, intent on biting the herbivore to death for being on school property after hours, when a note on his desk caught his attention.
Hibari-san ~
There is a danger to the peace and safety of Namimori currently residing in Italy. ~ The Sky
Blue-grey eyes narrowed dangerously as they scanned the note. He would bite any herbivores to death if they threatened his Namimori. He glared out the window at the retreating figure, before swiftly leaving to dispose of this so called 'threat'.
He paused by the door, though, turning back and walking to his desk. He opened the drawer and his hand hovered over the item inside. After a moment of contemplation, he pulled it out, slipped it on and left.
In the middle of a desolate place called Kokuyo Land, in a crumbling theatre structure, a certain illusionist was contemplating his plans. Suddenly, a warm wind blew and carried a paper plane in through a broken window. Curious the illusionist picked the paper up, unfolded and examined the note found inside. A tick mark quickly appeared on his head.
Pineapple-chan ~
Your goal is being threatened, what are you going to do about it? Come to Italy if you want to stop the threat. ~ Sky
"Oya, oya, somebody has a death wish. Ku fu fu fu." A certain pineapple head chuckled ominously with a dark aura surrounding him as the note was mercilessly crushed in his hand. The others in the room sweated under the murderous aura.
"Uh, Mukuro-sama..." One started hesitantly.
"We're going to Italy!" The pineapple stated suddenly, startling the other occupants. He started chuckling creepily again as he planned, absentmindedly rubbing at the trinket dangling from his ear.
In the streets of Namimori a teen was running around yelling 'Extreme'. He was in the middle of doing some roadwork for his boxing practice when he paused, hearing his little sister calling him.
"Onii-chan!" she cried again as she ran to catch up to him. She was puffing lightly when she finally reached his side, holding out a piece of paper towards him.
"A boy asked me to give this note to you, since he wasn't sure where to find you." She explained when he took the note, thoroughly examining it.
Onii-san ~
Master Pao Pao is currently in Italy, if you want to meet him, you should hurry over. ~ Little Sky
"EXTREME! Kyoko, I'm going to Italy to the Extreme!" He shouted after reading the note, rubbing the item wrapped around his arm as he grinned in excitement.
"Eh?!"
A small brunette smiled as he headed towards his destination. Yeah, that should get them all over to Italy.
AN: Sorry if some of it was a little off, I had Uni all day and my brain is a little fried. Most of it was written yesterday though, so it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully... Is it weird that I wrote a lot of this chapter before chapter 2? Anyway, thanks for reading! Hope you liked it!
