Hey guys! Sorry I missed last week's update, but I'm back again!
Happy Easter if you do celebrate, and if not...Happy Sunday!
And now, on with the story!
Leo's POV
I was shocked to say the least as Selena pushed the swivel chair to different desks in order to turn on monitors, before quickly returning to the original one and putting on a head set.
"Electron? And what are you doing?" I finally managed to ask as she typed several things into the computer while flipping on another monitor before responding.
"Hacking into security cameras so I can make sure they don't kill my boyfriend."
"So how is his work and life here? Does he ever miss us, talk about visiting, about missing us?" I bombarded her with questions while her eyes were darting between different monitors while answering my questions.
"When he's not doing this, he's working as assistant manager at Walgreen's. He's happy, for sure. He has a daughter and we've been dating for almost two years now. He is private with his feelings though. He said he left cause he felt like he was letting his family down, about how he was constantly used as a passage to you guys. But he also said that as much as he missed all of you, he doesn't feel like he can look his siblings and parents in the eyes anymore after leaving.
"That's crazy! He can always come home!"
She yelled through the mic 'bad guy, four o'clock!' Which had Chase punching the guy behind him, while she made the first eye contact with me since he had left the house and sighed. "It's not that easy for him, Leo. He's scared that his dad won't accept the fact that he has a daughter without being married and he'll ether force us to get married or make Chase leave me in order to keep your family name from being tarnished."
"All our dad cares about is finding him, getting him back or at least knowing he's alive."
"But I don't think Chase wants that."
"Not even for his family to know he's alive?" I demanded, and she just shrugged as Chase got back on his motorcycle to come back home and good t up to turn off all the monitors, muttering something about him doing this in broad daylight.
But when he returned, she greeted him with a tight hug after he had changed back into a t-shirt and jeans. "You okay?"
"Yeah. Fine." He insisted, kissing her cheek and I decided to interrupt the moment to get to the bottom of things.
"Chase? Can we talk in private please?"
He nodded, kissing his girlfriend again before she went upstairs, insisting she heard Morgan crying upstairs.
"You know they won't be mad at you if you come home, right? And I won't. We just wanna know you're alive. We've been searching for 2 years!" I insisted and he responded with slight anger coming through his tone of voice.
"So tell them I'm alive and go home. I'm happy here, Leo. And I don't have to worry about hurting you guys!"
"What do you mean hurt us? You hurt us when you went AWOL for two years! Can we at least visit you or vice versa? We need our Chase."
"And I need to keep you safe." He sighed, going to the cyber desk and starting to type information into it.
"By never seeing us?"
"By not betraying you guys again!" He yelled, slamming his fist on the cyber desk and glaring me down heavily.
"How would your homecoming betray us?! Everyone misses you, even Eddy at this point! Chase, we thought you were dead."
"The last time I was there, I could've killed Douglas. I almost killed Bree and myself as well as Mr. Davenport, twice. I can't keep doing that to you guys."
"But Chase-" I started, when he turned around, seething as he demanded I left. However, I stood my ground and puffed my chest as I said. "Only if you come with me."
"Just stay away. It's better that way." He insisted, turning around and putting a hand on the back of his neck.
"For who? Cause it's certainly not working for anyone but you!" I insisted as he turned around, practically screaming at me.
"You don't understand, Leo! Because of my stupidity, I've almost killed all of my family before! Who's saying I won't do it again?! Or worse, getting Selena and Morgan killed?!"
"It wasn't stupidity, and we don't care about the past! We just need you! Please come back or let them come here."
"No, Leo! Just tell them I'm alive if you care so much. I don't want them hung up on me." He seethed, but instead, I not only sent them the message, but the house address before saying.
"As soon as i say you're alive, they'll come; so you're out of luck." Before I sent the message, showing it to him. "They are on their way."
