BP: Had a fever that put me out of action for a long time, but now I am back, although I am still sick. Please review this chapter once you've finished reading, thanks!
Eleven (Noel)
I return to the penthouse at around 4am. I used my Mind Reading Legacy to find out the password to send the elevator to the floor of Nine's penthouse. What have I been doing? Well, since I read Sarah's mind and found out that the FBI knows our location (and found out they had her family), I had to use my Sonic Flight Legacy to get to the FBI's base (Which is in Dulce) and use my mind control on every single one of them, to make sure they forget about the location where we are hidden.
Some were pretty resistant, so I killed them. Well, couple of humans more or less, what's the difference? There are so many people in the FBI, I am sure they won't care about the loss. I am not even sure if they would notice. Also, I have to hack in the computer system of theirs to erase any information of us.
As for Sarah's family, sad to say, the FBI killed them, so therefore, I can't rescue them. I flew back using my Legacy again. Well, I could have used the broom in my Chest, but the broom isn't as fast, and the risk of me being seen will be higher. I make a mental note to use Mind Control on Sarah to forget about leaking information about our whereabouts, since Lover Boy (John) definitely wants to keep her by his side. I don't know why the Garde are such morons, trusting humans who may leak information to their friends, and later the FBI and the Mogs will pick it up, leading to our death.
And here they are saying they are trying to win a war.
Pathetic.
I yawn, and promptly fell asleep at the bed.
"WAKE UP!" a voice shouts at me. I sit up to find Nine yelling at me.
"What the heck do you want?" I mumble.
"We're going to train. You are included." Nine says.
"Maybe you need it, but since I beat you the other day without using my Legacies, I doubt I need it." I put the blanket over my head. "Now get out, I want to sleep."
Just then, there is a flash of light, and Nine yelps, clutching to his hand.
I completely forgot that I set up a force field around my bed, in case there is an attack. Oh well. I stifle a laugh. What a moron. "Don't come any closer." I say to Nine. "I put a force field around my bed. You know, in case of an attack."
"No one's going to be attacked here." Nine grumbles. "So, you have the Force Field Legacy?"
"That is correct." I say as I remove the shield. I grip Nine's wrist, and his burnt hands healed instantly. "I also have the Healing Legacy, like Marina and John." With that, I walk out of the door, leaving a stunned Nine behind. Of course, average level Healing Legacies like John's or Marina's heals wounds in a few minutes. I can treat minor to moderate wounds in seconds, as I can use it at a higher level.
I walk past Marina in the kitchen. "Morning, Noel." She smiles at me. Somehow, I am unnerved by it. She is using telekinesis to use the egg beaters to mix eggs.
I merely nod at her. "Is it your turn to make breakfast or something?"
"Yeah. Do you want eggs?"
I hesitate, before saying, "Sure."
Company is one thing I avoided since I came to Earth. But now, here I am, sitting with people of my kind. I watch John pet his Chimæra, Bernie Kosar, which is in its beagle form. John looks up at me, and smiles. "Hey, Noel." He says.
I sit down at the couch. "Hey." I mumble.
"Where were you last night, anyway? We waited for you to return, but you never did!"
"Sa- I mean someone has leaked the information about our whereabouts to the FBI. I simply infiltrated the base and erased all the data there, and used my Mind Control to make them forget about our location." Marina hands me breakfast and I eat. Her cooking is great.
"Alone?" John asks incredulously.
I nod. "Yes, alone. Don't worry, I took precautions. See, I came out unscathed."
"That's reckless of you, Noel." Marina frowned. "What if someone catches you?"
"I can go invisible like Six." I shrug. "No biggie."
The dog barks, and I can read its mind: Did you find any information that may be useful to us?
"They know about your Legacies. I am sure it was the Mogs who gave the info to them. Oh, and keep an eye on Sarah. She was the moron that leaked out the information to the FBI, but that does not matter now, since I dealt with it. They had her family, so she was forced to co-operate. I would have rescued them, but I read the mind of one of them, and realized that the FBI had killed them. Their objective is to break her, not get her to help. They think by breaking her, they will break John." I casually took a sip of tea as I watch their reactions.
"No way…they killed her family?" John gasps. He stands up, presumably to tell her, but I stop him.
"No, she's not emotionally ready. She's already a wreck from her family taken; besides, she's still trying to accept that she is going to fight the war against you. Wait until she recovers; I can tell you when, because another of my Sensior Legacy is to detect someone's emotional state." John slumps on to the sofa, cradling his face in his hands.
"I can't believe the FBI has the guts to do this." Marina seethes. "Taking someone's family hostage, promising to return them when the person fulfilled it, and yet, they kill the hostages."
"You'll be surprised what they would do for their benefit and interests." I say, finishing my breakfast.
Really, are all Garde that trusting of humans? John was so foolish to trust that human girl. I would have easily killed her myself if not for the fact that he will be so heartbroken that he is unable to fight. I shake my head, and washed the dishes.
Six
I watch as Sarah blasts the paper dummies with the gun that is provided in the Lecture Hall. Sarah may not have any Legacies, but she is sure handy with that gun, and her aim is pretty good.
"Yo, what are you guys doing?" Eight teleports into the Lecture Hall
"Eight, don't do that. You scared us to death." says Sarah.
"Nah, I don't think you can be scared to death." Eight jokes. "But if you do, you'll be in the Book of Records by now: The first person to be scared to death."
I punch his arm playfully.
Just then, the door opens, and the rest of the Garde walk in. Eight immediately walks over to Marina's side.
Nine calls everyone to attention.
"Alright, everyone, today we are going to have a one-on-one head on battle. The rules are simple. Whoever takes down their opponent wins. Well, first up, Eight vs. me." Both of them walked to the center, and faced each other. John is holding the whistle. He blows it, and when he does, Nine charges towards Eight with his Super Speed Legacy. Eight teleports to avoid being rammed and Nine stops on his tracks.
Eight morphs into a lion and charges towards Nine, and they wrestled, Nine gaining the upper hand. Eight turns back to himself and teleports away again. Nine uses his Anti-gravity Legacy and ran the ceiling to get to Eight. Eight teleports once more and he reappear in mid-air, clutching to Nine's head, forcing him in a chokehold. Nine, focusing on breathing, fell to the ground. Eight manages to pin Nine down.
"Eight wins!" John announces.
"Good match." Eight grins, helping Nine up.
"Darn! You guys are getting stronger and stronger." Nine grumbles.
"Alright, next up, we have Six vs. Noel!" Nine announces.
I walk to the center of the training hall, facing my opponent. She has a neutral expression on her face. I saw her fight against Nine, and the best strategy is I must prevent her from attacking. She can make people get their feet sink below the floor with the single snap of her fingers. I must prevent her from snapping her fingers.
Once the whistle blow, I turn invisible. She just stood there as I got behind her, and aim a punch at her face. Surprisingly, she ducks without even looking behind. She must have a Legacy that can sense people from behind her.
"Yes and no." she replies emotionlessly. "Yes, I can sense people behind me, and no, I didn't use my Legacy. I used my magical power to create an aura to sense you. Once you get within the range of my aura, I know where you are and what you would do. Don't forget, I still have my Legacies. I told you I have at least 8 or 9 of them, right?"
She's right. She defeated Nine without even using her Legacies, and the only Legacies I know she had so far was Mind Reading/Mind Control and Energy Bolts, Invisibility, and Telekinesis (all Garde has this).
I was so caught up in my thoughts; I didn't notice Noel charging towards me, and giving me a kick on the stomach. I fly to the other side of the room, hitting the wall, and slide down to the floor. I cough out blood. Ella's right. She's really strong.
"During a fight, one must NOT get distracted, Six." Noel throws bolts at me, which I dodge or defend with telekinesis, clutching to the spot where Noel kicked me. When I dodge the last of it, Noel is gone. Where is she? I look around, but I couldn't find her.
Just then, someone catches me from behind with a chokehold. She must have used her invisibility Legacy. It's almost as if I've fallen into my own trap. Her grip is really strong. Even I can't fight against it, not matter how much I struggle.
When I cannot get out of her grip for more than a minute, Nine announces Noel's victory. Noel lets me go.
"When you fight, you should not only watch out for what's in front of you, but what's behind you, Six." Noel says. "Adversaries tend to attack your blind spot in a battle."
"Thanks for the advice, Noel." I say.
Seven (Marina)
Because Six was injured during her fight with Noel, we decide to take a break while I went over to heal Six, when Nine stops me.
"No. Go get Noel to heal her. She can heal wounds in seconds."
I widen my eyes. She can heal in seconds? If her Legacy is that strong, why didn't she mention it and leave the Lecture Hall without trying to heal Six? John isn't here because he knew I can do a better job. I get up, and find Noel sitting on the sofa reading, ignoring everyone else.
"Noel…" I say hesitatingly. She glares up at me briefly, before returning to her book. "I need you to heal Six, please?"
"Don't you have the Healing Legacy yourself? You can do it." Noel replies nonchalantly. "Or get John. Doesn't he know how to heal?"
"True, but Nine says yours is stronger. So…please?" I plead.
"That blabbermouth." Noel stands up, pushes past me and gets into the Lecture Hall. She places her hands on Six's stomach, and I am amazed at how short a time she takes to heal wounds. If only I am as powerful as Noel.
"There. Now don't bother me!" Noel stomps out of the Lecture Hall.
I wonder why she is in a bad mood since she moved in here.
Maybe I should cook a feast tonight, to cheer everyone up and perhaps, make Noel open up a little.
I walk in to see Eight on the computer screen tablet watching Five's location.
"Oh, hey Marina." Eight smiles. I sit next to him and he puts an arm around me.
"Five's currently headed north from Jamaica." I observe. "You know, when we find Five, we will all be together."
"Yeah. Eleven is one powerful person herself." Eight replies.
Nine bursts in the door, interrupting out moment. "Ella." He says. "She's been trashing around in her bed." We run to Ella's room and sure enough, she was trashing around the bed, as if she has a seizure, before finally sitting up. John is already there, trying to calm her down.
"What is it? Did you dream about Setrákus Ra again?" I say.
"Yeah. He approached me, congratulating me of the fact that all of us has found a weapon he has created. Also, he said something about the Elder's plan and the weapon is part of it, and asked if I had read the letter, because things are not as they seem, and the letter will say a few words about the connection I have with the weapon he has created."
"Setrákus Ra created a weapon?" I exclaim. "And we found it?"
Ella nods.
"If we had found it, it means we can use it to our advantage!" Eight cries out.
"Yeah, and dump it the moment it has outlived its usefulness?" a voice said quietly.
We turn to see Noel standing there with an unreadable expression. She turn and run out of the penthouse, slamming the door behind her.
"Noel, wait!" Nine rushes after her. However, I see a letter Noel has dropped from her skirt pocket.
I pick up the letter, and widen my eyes in horror as I skim through it.
"Guys, come look at this…"
BP: Ok, I got to go, because my 10 minute time limit is up, and my fever is going up. Please review!
