A note- A ronmione piece, post-war. I don't own much and Happy New Year!
They loved they way she waved at the crowds
How she'd charm her way about
The way a smile that meant nothing
But changed someone's everything
The way she made hard work look like a breeze
Yet what they didn't notice
Was the bitterest of the truths
How the glimmer in her eye would dim
The nights she'd stay awake
Covered with the magic
For the sake of the cameras
For the sake of her career
For the sake of her family
But never for her
For being free and being perfect
Weren't the same thing
And yet there he stood
His arms open
For her to escape
To hide her face
To take flight
The girl who knew too much
And the boy who lived in the shadows
They, for they are nameless, eternal
Tried to prise them apart
Taking sides, squabbling like schoolchildren
But there they were
With all of their imperfections
With all of their hopes
Finding their paradise in reality
"Well, what's so impressive about that?" whispered Ron, who for some reason looked annoyed. "You are the best in the year - I'd've told him so if he'd asked me!"-Half Blood Prince
