Sorry it took me so long to post this chapter. I had some family trouble and, due to that, became depressed. But I'm back and ready to go.
*Mysterious POV*
Her body, mangled and broken, lay on the hospital bed being rolled past me. The scent of her blood called out to my senses. It took all of my will power to not pounce on the girl and drain her dry. My hands clenched the brick walls and caused rubble and dust to scatter onto the pristine white floors. If I were to move, there would be my hand print etched in the brick wall.
I have never seen this girl before in my life. She wasn't beautiful. Not in the slightest. She was plain. Boring, traditional looks. But her blood... Her glorious, sweet blood. Being put to waste by keeping this thing alive. If only I could get a moment alone with her. I began to trail silently behind the hordes of medical staff pushing her into an opperating room.
*Bella's POV*
"...Clear!" and then electricity shocked through her body. "Try again. Clear!" they shouted as it happened again, her muscles jerking as her heartbeat started again. Her consciousness started to fade as her body was moved again.
She opened her eyes. Staring at the stark white ceiling, she had no idea where she was, let alone who she was. The door opened and a man in a white lab coat walked in. He was young, he was blonde, and he was handsome. He was pale, though, and tired-looking, with circles under his eyes. He walked to the end of her bed and grabbed the clipboard. Scanning through it, he made quiet sounds as he assessed the situation.
"Miss Swan," his voice was bitter, stepping closer to her, "I am Dr. Cullen. Do you remember the accident?" His cold voice stuck fear in her heart.
She shook her head, not trusting her voice. She glanced around the room and realization hit her. Whatever the accident was, it was serious enough to land her in the hospital.
"You were on your way to school when your truck broke down in front of the train. You barely made it. We contacted your father but he was unable to leave work. We won't be able to release you for a few days." He said quickly, stepping away from her. "Do you have any questions?" She shook her head. "Alright then. I'll come back in a while and see how you're doing." He turned and left her room.
"Lovely doctor. He made me feel at home," she sarcastically mumbled.
