AN: Ok, I'l be honest, when I started this I had no idea where to go with it. Im really just going with it, so forgive me for the very slow updates. I hope you all are enjoying this, There really needs to be more Mandark/Dexter 3

Dexter had been asleep for several hours. Mandark never left his side, sitting on the bed, holding his hand gently, tightly. His skin was still cold from the breathable gel. It worried him, he just had a warm bath to get that gel off of him. The clone however, was tied to a chair on the other side of the room. Both hands cuffed to the legs of the chair. He looked annoyed. Mandark kept his eye on him, glaring over to the clone. The clone, just rolling his eyes. "I'm not going anywhere. You can stop the death glare."

Mandark continued to glare at him. The clone continued. "I am him you know?" "No, your not. Your nothing like him. Just a shadow." He forced out. He wanted nothing to do with this thing that nearly killed his Dexter. The clone smirked softly looking at him. "Your real name is Susan." Mandark glared, nearly growling to him. 'Stop." "Your name "Mandark" is actually short for "Monarch of Darkness". You go by that name because your ashamed of your real name. Your parents were hippies that didnt understand your love of science and your mother still continues to call you Susan to this day." Mandark growled. "I said stop." The clone smirked to him. "What?don't like hearing the truth?" He got up quickly, stomping over to the bound clone. The clone, sitting back, looking curiously up at Mandark.

Mandark was snarling down to him. "The only reason your still alive is because of him. If I were you, I wouldn't push my luck." H suddenly heard Dexter from the bed, waking with a start, whimpering. He quickly went to his side, his arms going around him. He felt Dexter wrap his arms around his waist, starting to cry and whimper. He was terrified. "Mandark...oh God..I had the worst..." He swallowed the lump in his throat, blue eyes looking around the room until he saw the clone, handcuffed to the chair, jumping with a yelp, holding Mandark closer. "Wha...What is he doing here?" His voice coming out thick with emotion. Mandark sighed, holding him closer. "It wasn't a nightmare. It was real. Your clone broke out and tried to replace you." He glared over. "It didn't work."

The clone sighed, rolling his eyes. "Yes, congratulations on knowing your lover so well." Mandark growled over. "You keep your mouth shut." Dexter just stared at the clone in a mixture of horror, awe and disbelief. He spoke quietly. "How?" The clone shrugged, as if this was the most normal thing in the world. "I couldn't stay in there any longer." "But you shouldn't have even been awake!"Dexter sat up, eyes wide, looking the clone over. " You should have been kept in suspended animation." The clone just smirked. "You should keep a better eye on your computer systems. There was a glitch about a year ago. I was awake but I had yet to be able to move. Do you know what it's like being comatose yet fully conscious." He glared. "Oh wait. You do." The clone smiled sweetly, a malice in his eyes. It made Dexter shiver in fear but he swallowed. "Mandark, may I be alone with him?" Mandark gave him a look between Disbelief and protest. "Just for a moment." Mandark sighed heavily. "Fine. Five minutes." He stood up, keeping his death glare on the clone. Silently threatening any wrong move he made.

Once alone the clone smirked to Dexter. "Your a brave one." Dexter couldn't help the smallest of smiles tugging at his lips. "You should know." Dexter sighed, looking to him, his eyes softer. "I'm...I'm sorry." His eyes watered. "I'm sorry you had to go thru that. Being trapped with all those tube and wires I connected to you. It must have been awful." The clone frowned. " I was terrified the moment I was awake. All I knew was that I was floating and my mind was abuzz with new ideas and endless amounts of calculations. I didn't know what else I was suppose to do." Dexter frowned softly. "You could have signaled me, you obviously eventually got enough consioussess to move. Why didn't you try to tell me you were awake?" "You would have put me back to sleep again." the clone spoke quietly.

Dexter just stared. The guilt was eating away at him. He shook his head, red curls swaying with him. "You don't know that. You never know anything until you attempt it." He started to get out of bed, weakly. His body shaking. The clone watched with a raised eyebrow. 'What do you think you are doing?"

Dexter walked over with a soft look. "I think I'm going to help you. Your my creation. My responsibility. I'm sorry for all I put you thru." He wrapped his thin arms around his clone, offering what comfort he could. The clone tensed, unable to push him away. "Let go of me." He felt the oddest sensations in his eyes. They felt stingy and watery. All the pent up emotions start to escape from the affection his creator gave him. Two salty tears falling down his pale cheeks. Dexter spoke softly. "No. I have to do my best now to take care of you. Your my creation. My responsibility." He heard Mandark knock on the door lightly. "You can come in now." The door opened with Mandark walking in. He glared lightly toward them. "Your hugging your almost murderer?" Dexter gave him a soft glare. "He needs my help. He's my creation, I'll take responsibility." "He nearly killed you!" "Mandark! Will you calm down?" he ran his hands thru his dark hair. "I'm sorry Dexter, I kinda have ill-feelings toward someone who almost killed you!" Dexter glared, walking briskly to him. "Can I speak to you, alone?" Mandark suddenly put his arm around him, leading him out of the room rather fast.

Once in the hall, Dexter closed the door, hissing to Mandark. "What is wrong with you?" "Me? Whats wrong with you? He nearly killed you and you want to suddenly take him in?" "yes! I do! He is my creation Mandark, that makes him my responsibility." Mandark tried to speak, tried to come up with a better argument but he knew Dexter had a point, he was right. He sputtered, getting his words out. "But he tried to kill you! You know what? Fine, we'll keep him. I will give him three chances. Three! If he tries to off you again or harm you in any way. I will not hesitate to shot him between the eyes."

Dexter swallowed. It had been so long since the darker side of his boyfriend had come out. He nodded. "Of corse. Thank you. Now, I have to go to him." He opened the door again, going to his clone who was still handcuffed. He looked around for a Key. "Mandark, give me the key." reluctantly he got it out of his pocket, walking over, handing it to him, glaring at the clone. He swore the clone glared but but it was so subtle he thought he imagined it. The clone felt the metal cuffs fall off his hands to the floor. Feeling them, moving them to rid himself of the ache. Dexter sighed. "First thing, I suppose is some cloths?" Dexter was lost, going to his dresser. Mandark stood at the door, arms crossed, watching. Dexter saw him, sighed. "Mandark, can you excuse us?" Mandark nearly growled at the clone before leaving, slamming the door.

"He doesn't like me." The clone spoke, looking to the floor. Dexter sighed. "No, he doesn't. Your lucky your even alive right now. If it wasn't for me...well..guess you wouldn't be here in the first place. Ok, bad analogy." He went back to sorting thru cloths for the clone. He sighed, coming back with a handful of folded cloths. "Here. These will be yours. " He paused, sitting next to him.

"What does it feel like?" The clone looked confused. "What does what feel like?" "Being in there. In that tube. You were in suspended sleep, how were you awake?"The clone paused, looking like he was thinking. " I was awake because there was a glitch in your system. I've been awake for a year." Dexter's eyes widened. "a year? Wha...I'm...I'm so sorry. Why hadn't I caught it? Computer, she always tells me when something is amiss." The clone shook his head. "I'm not sure of that either but the chemical that was keeping me asleep stopped and the chemical that kept me from moving kept going thru. It took me a year to fight it off, to break out. There's been so many times, I tried to ask for help, but I couldn't even move a finger." Dexter's eyes watered, a hand to his mouth. "I'm so sorry, it must have been so terrifying." The clone smirked weakly. "At first, yes, I had no idea what was going on but as time went on, it just became home." Dexter brought him back in for a hug, holding him close. "I promise, I'l do so much better for you." The clone weakly hugged back, unsure wither to accept his offer of help and care or to push him away.
