"Here ya go! One for you..one for me..and one for Van!" yelled Roxas as he chuckled at the spiky ravenette - who now glared at him in anger. Naminé giggled, her small fingers feeling the tiny turtle crawl on her hands. "Thank you!" She laughed, her sparkling ocean eyes reflecting the summer sun within them. The golden boy blushed as he scratched the back of his spikes. "I-It was nothin'!..R-really!" He stuttered helplessly and smiled – how could he not? The angel in front of him was too beautiful to ignore.

Vanitas couldn't suppress his jealousy; his anger towards the blonde boy was quickly rising and gaining intense momentum. He was a time bomb ready to explode any second now. His thoughts were soon interrupted as he felt something squirm within the pockets of his shorts. He smirked as he pulled it out. It was a snake.

Now Vanitas had a plan; a plan of mischief. And revenge.

"Heyyyy, Roxas! Check this out!" He chuckled and dangled it in front of their faces. Naminé screamed and started to cry as the girl was extremely frightened of creepy crawly insects. The golden haired boy knew of her phobia and swiftly pulled her behind him. Roxas tried offering the extra turtle he had caught for Van himself. "Van, cut it out! Here! Isn't this better?" He shouted as he offered him a trade.

Vanitas yelled at the boy with growing irritation, "No! You're not a grown up! So you can't boss me around!" The ravenette frowned then stepped in front of the boy, pushing him, almost shoving the slimy creature in his face. Naminé clutched the back of his shirt - still wailing as she watched with terror in her ocean orbs. Roxas realized that the boy wouldn't quit till he achieved his goal. As soon as the troublemaker pushed him, the young child decided that enough was enough.

Staring intently into his golden eyes, Roxas grabbed him firmly by the shoulder with his available hand. He clenched his teeth - and pushed him back aggressively – enough so that the black-haired boy stumbled over and fell on his bottom into the clear water. Vanitas was completely drenched. Roxas screamed with a protective yet deadly stare in his cool sky eyes. His chest stuck out as he tip toed on his feet to make himself look taller. He knew he was short, but it was the best he could do. "Don't you dare get near Naminé with that snake!" The girl immediately stopped crying while she gazed at her hero - basking in the sunlight of glory. Vanitas could only glare at him and rose up the snake once more, before throwing it back into the water from defeat. "Fine! You win!", growled the ravenette as he stuck his tongue at the knight in shining armor. "I'm going home! You guys are too boring to play around with." The small trouble maker grumbled before kicking the water with his feet some more. The two didn't know what to say as they watched Vanitas run back up the hill and disappear from their range of sight.

Roxas began to feel guilty. He wasn't one that liked to be violent – especially since his parents taught him to be better than that. For a moment, he had forgotten that Naminé was still behind him until she tugged at his shirt; motioning for the golden boy to turn around. "Yeah, Nami-?" His words were choked as his first love hugged him tightly. Naminé gazed into his eyes and gave him one of her charming smiles; one that was full of gratefulness. "Thank you!" She whispered. Roxas blushed and held her with a sigh of content, "You're welcome..."

Roxas was glad that he came. He had rescued his first love; an Angel. For he would always be her knight in shining armor.

Always.
