Chapter Three: Not Just a Little Secret
Running rapidly through the crowd of people within the boisterous City of Vale, Ruby desperately looked around for a certain blonde.
"Dang it, Yang!" the redhead yelled, frustration visible in her brows. Quickly searching the area around her, she smiled widely when her gray eyes landed on a nearby payphone. 'I'll just call home!' she happily thought. Speed walking towards it, the girl narrowed her gaze and came to a sudden stop. Standing in the middle of the crowded sidewalk, Ruby remembered something important.
'Wait a minute... I'm a freaking assassin! I can just run home!' she inwardly shouted. Mentally berating herself as she angrily stomped on the pavement below, the sixteen year old failed to realize the newfound attention she was bringing to herself; strange glances and whispers were directed to the thinking redhead.
"Mommy, why is that boy talking to himself?" a little girl asked as she stared at the mumbling redhead. Hand immediately latching itself onto her tiny one, the girl and her mother walked quicker and farther away from the whispering, young "man" in the hopes of avoiding any possible confrontations.
"Alright," Ruby exhaled as she rolled her shoulders, standing up straight. A look of determination took over her stare, 'Time to start my journey back home!' she thought as she displayed a wide, confident smile. Looking right into the buzzing, large crowd for a few moments, her rush of self-assurance suddenly depleted. She slumped her shoulders and furrowed her brows. 'Even with all of this confidence, I still don't even know the route back home from here…. or... anywhere for that matter...'
Slowly walking to a street curve, she roughly sat down and placed her elbows on her thighs. Holding her chin up with her palms, she lazily watched on as the cars in front of her drove by. Exhaling through her nose, a deep frown engraved itself on her lips. 'This is what happens when I get driven everywhere… some "Head" I'll be...'
"Um, Ruby?" a voice called out from beside the sulking redhead. Ruby's ears perked up. "Is that you...?" questioned the uncertain individual once more. Knowing immediately who the feeble voice belonged to, Ruby widened her eyes and quickly looked up. Smiling widely as tears welled up in the corner of her eyes, the redhead focused her "dreamy" like stare on the unmistakably blonde hair and confused, blue eyes that belonged to the tall boy. It was, without a doubt, her very close friend, Jaune Arc, a member (as well as possible heir) of the Arc clan.
"Jaune!" Ruby grinned as she quickly sprang up and hugged the blonde boy tightly. "I'm so glad to see you!" she squealed as she lifted his scrawny body into the air. Furrowing her brows suspiciously, she squeezed him tightly again. "Hey, have you been eating?"
"Y-You're c-crushing m-me!" Jaune yelped in desperation, already losing feeling throughout his body. Letting go, she silently watched as the blonde stumbled backwards to try and regain his footing. "Geez, Ruby!" he huffed, patting his torso to see if any major damage had been done. Thankfully, he escaped unscathed. "I'm beginning to think your hugs are worse than Nora's!"
"Heh, sorry about that…" Ruby nervously smiled as she rubbed the back of her neck.
Giving one last pat to his chest as he eyed the shorter girl warily, he sighed and straightened his posture, "Anyways… what're you doing out here in the city? Was there a grimm message that I missed…?"
"No! No!" Ruby swiftly called out as she waved her hands frantically. Looking at her friend's bewildered expression, she drew out a long sigh. "Long story short, there was this huge party at Nora's place that was... underground for some reason...?" the redhead wondered. She shook her head, "Anyways, it got a little crazy, I drank some stuff I shouldn't have taken," she blushed. "Weird stuff kinda maybe happened…" She remembered her naked form in the unknown bedroom. The heat around her cheeks intensified. "And well, I ran away from her place and I ended up here. All... kinda..." The blush on her face faded as her current problem caught up with her, "...lost and hopeless…"
Looking at the redhead's sadness taking shape around her eyes and lips, Jaune furrowed his brows. "Why not just call for help? I mean, the Rose clan is filled with chauffeurs…" he suggested.
"I can't, I don't have my phone with me… and now that I realize it," she said as she dug her hands into her front jean pockets. Nothing. "I don't even have any money to use a payphone..." she sighed. "Plus, Yang made sure to dismiss the chauffeurs from picking us up. And now, I don't know where she is or what happened to her..." she frowned. Wincing at a sudden pain circulating behind her closed eyes, she made a quick move to grab her head. "Man... my head's killing me…"
The boy worryingly looked at the pained state his friend was in and reluctantly stepped forward. "Wow, that party must have been a wild time…" he commented. Digging into his pocket, he brought out a small, plastic bag that was most likely meant for sandwiches. Inside, however, was not a sandwich. "Here," he said as he opened the bag and dropped two tiny, white pills on his palm. Ruby eyed the boy suspiciously despite her pounding headache.
"Why do you..."
"My sisters always try their best to give me super intense "noogies" whenever they have the chance to," he answered. Sighing, he rolled his eyes, "Which usually lead to super intense headaches that can take place at any moment..."
"Ah..." Ruby responded, understanding the blonde's situation with rough knuckles on one's head. Taking the white tablets from his hand, she downed them in one gulp. Relaxing her shoulders, she could already feel the headache subsiding. Wow, now those were some pretty powerful pills. Suddenly, she felt bad for Jaune's "noogie" problem.
"But still..." Jaune meekly smiled, putting away the rest of his "magic" pills. "Nora's parties will do that to you," he laughed.
"Yeah, especially if you go with a pushy sister who insists on getting you drunk..." Ruby frowned, crossing her arms.
'Wait...' She rose an eyebrow.
"Now that you mention it, did you even go?" Ruby asked. "I don't think I saw you there...?"
The blonde's face flushed red. "N-N-Nothing happened!" he shouted as he flailed his arms wildly.
The redhead narrowed her gaze at him, confusion in her eyes. "I never said if you did anything…"
"W-Well just know that nothing happened," he finished, trying to look serious as he frowned. Unfortunately for him, the deep blush on his cheeks diminished that from happening.
"Okay…" Ruby slowly said as she continued to eye the fidgeting boy. She shook her head, "Anyways… Jaune listen," she commanded as she gripped his shoulders and looked into his eyes with an intense stare. If anyone around were to comment on the situation, they would compare the two teens to a lion and a scared rabbit. And let's just say Jaune isn't the lion. "I need your help. I need your help on getting home."
"Oh... wanna use my phone to call for a ride?" the boy questioned as he dug into his pocket.
"NO!" Ruby shouted, scaring the blonde immensely as a result. "Because now that I realize it... if I call for help, my grandma would totally kill me and force me to take remedial lessons until the end of time…." she shivered.
'Well then again, that can kinda get me out of being The Head...' the redhead thought to herself, contemplating her own life. 'And why do I keep realizing things at the last minute!?' she mentally yelled.
"Oh!" Jaune remembered. "My mother wanted to congratulate you on becoming the next leader," he smiled earnestly. "She said that it's very admirable for a minor to take over a pretty powerful clan," he continued to grin. "She also said how it reminded her of her younger days when your mom became The Head." Looking as if he just witnessed something disgusting, his smile slowly began to falter. "She said how she "fangirled" over her... That she was "eye-candy" and a "hot fox...?" I don't really remember what else she said seeing how I kinda left once she started to get this weird look on her face..." he grimaced. "But um, congrats…?" he awkwardly said as he nervously smiled.
Looking at the boy with utter confusion, Ruby shook it off and regained her composure. She smiled weakly, "Gee well, tell your mom thanks for me… I think…"
"Yeah… sorry about that… Mom can get pretty strange sometimes... " Jaune apologized. "But, I guess I can give you a lift to your place. I'm just about done running some errands so the chauffeur should be here at any second."
The redhead beamed with delight. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jaune!" she happily said as she hugged the boy once more.
"U-uncle! Uncle!" Jaune cried out, feeling his back beginning to bend in ways it shouldn't.
"Right, sorry…" Ruby said as she let go. Hearing a honk from the distance, both teens turned to look at an old, beaten-up vehicle. Paint chipping, windows broken, rust forming, the two stared at the car, feeling uneasy about their ride.
"Ah man… I asked for the limo…" Jaune whined. "Dang it, sis…"
"Well, it's alright…" Ruby said, feeling unsure about the car's image herself. "I mean… at least everything's still intact…" The front bumper of the car fell off. "Almost… intact…" she corrected.
Receiving stares and whispers from the public around them, both the redhead and blonde blushed from the unwanted attention.
"Maybe we should get in," Jaune suggested, glancing around at the many people looking at them.
"Yeah…" Ruby agreed.
Scurrying into the old vehicle, the two settled in the back. Closing the squeaky door, Ruby jumped in her seat when the car window managed to shatter even more.
"Sir," spoke a very shaky voice from behind the wheel. "Where to…" he wheezed.
Ruby looked up to see one of the Arc clan's chauffeur, George... Well, just George. Strangely enough, she didn't really know his last name despite knowing him for most of her life. Pushing her thoughts to the side, she fondly grinned at the old man as her eyes inspected his memorable features: age spots and wrinkles everywhere, loose skin hanging around his neck, and white hair sitting under a hat that was probably a little too big for his head. She smiled even wider when her eyes met his closed ones.
"Ah…" he wheezed. "Miss Rose… I heard about the coronation… taking place soon…" he smiled weakly.
As much as Ruby wanted to frown, she forced herself to grin. "Yes, it seems my..." she hesitated, "coronation is getting around, huh?" she nervously laughed.
"But of course, ma'am… you are the prodigy… of the Rose clan…"
"Yeah, well…" Ruby quietly said as her brows knitted together. "I'm not so sure of that..." she whispered to herself, locking her narrowed gaze to her knees. George slowly rose his brows, wondering what the redhead mumbled.
Jaune spared a quick glace to the saddened Rose and pursed his lips with concern. He hated seeing the usually smiling and chipper girl like this and he knew why. Having to take over one of the most biggest and oldest clans on the planet at such a young age had to come with serious responsibilities, and he definitely did not blame her at all for harboring some form of dread for it. He looked back at the old chauffeur, "Hey George, can you go to the Rose clan territory? Ruby really needs to get home as soon as possible."
"Hm…?" the old man hummed as he looked at him through the rear-view mirror. "As soon… as possible…?"
Ruby looked at George's questionable stare through said mirror. "Um… Jaune?" she nervously asked. She watched as the old driver slowly reached for the gear stick.
"Yeah?" the blonde replied, raising a brow in response to the redhead's worried expression.
"Don't you think he looked a bit... I don't know... weird when he said that?" Ruby asked, feeling a knot beginning to form at the bottom of her stomach.
"Weird?" Jaune asked, looking confused. "I don't think so?" He eyed George's stoic expression. "I mean, he looks completely normal to me."
"Really?" Ruby quietly questioned, to which the blonde nodded his head. Sensing the knot in her stomach disappear, she sighed with relief and relaxed into her seat, "Well that's good to kn-"
"Saddle up, girlies," George smiled as the engine roared. Both of the teens turned to look at the smirking old man with widened eyes.
"Uh…. George…?" Jaune spoke, his voice a little too high pitched for his own good. "Are you okay-"
"Call me Captain George, son," the old man continued smiling as another loud roar filled their ears.
Ruby looked out of the window to her left to see gray, smoggy smoke beginning to surround them. "Oh my...-"
"Wait! George! This wasn't what I meant when I said as soon as pos-"
"Hold onto your horsies!" the old chauffeur excitingly shouted as he pressed his foot onto the gas pedal. Backs slamming into the dusty seats behind them, Ruby and Jaune could only look at the road ahead with terrified stares. "Yeehaw!"
Gripping onto the loose seat belts that barely tied them down, both of the teens yelled their hearts out as the chauffeur drove dangerously down the crowded street. Closing their eyes from possibly witnessing a crash or murder happen right before them, both young assassins dropped their heads to face the ground.
"Make it stooopppppp!" Ruby shouted as the old man drifted recklessly across the street. She clenched her jaw at the sound of rubber burning on the road.
"I never thought my life would end like this…" Jaune hopelessly said as he stared blankly at the car roof. He seemed pretty neutral (more like dazed) about the whole situation despite the old driver laughing like a lunatic. Ruby looked over to see the drained looking blonde.
"Jaune! Wake up! Tell George to-"
"Look out now kiddies!" the old man chuckled, sounding similarly to a mischievous leprechaun. "We're about to approach some dirt roads and a forest! Hold onto your bums!" he enthusiastically shouted as the old car went even faster.
"How is this car still functional!" Ruby yelled to no one in particular. Feeling the familiar pit below her stomach begin to travel upwards, the redhead widened her eyes.
"Looks like we're about to hit a bumpy bump!" George cackled as his hands moved to one side of the wheel. Turning it all the way to the right, Ruby felt the whole world stop as the rusty 1974 Lincoln rose from the ground itself. Ruby sat slack-jawed as she stared at the now upside down trees and bushes through the windshield.
'Oh... My...-'
"Hell yeah!" George cheered as the car landed roughly on the earthy ground. As the vehicle continued to skid from side to side, the redhead quickly grabbed her mouth. Complexion turning green, she felt waves of saliva pile up under her tongue. Knowing what usually happens next, her watery eyes widened for the tenth time.
'Oh no...'
Braking abruptly in front of a metal gate that ran for miles, the chauffeur stopped the engine knowing that the Rose clan estate laid behind it.
"Sir... Miss... we have arrived..." George wheezed as he weakly grinned. Looking back, he was able to see a half-dead Jaune sitting very still and a redhead with puffed out cheeks, looking as if she was containing something within her mouth. "Is anything... wrong?"
Barely managing to swallow back the toxins from last night, Ruby violently coughed and pounded her chest.
"I swear we did nothing suspicious last night!" Jaune yelled as he woke up from whatever daze he was in. Looking around, the boy felt confused. "What's going on?"
Trembling as the look of exhaustion expressed itself below her eyes, Ruby shook her head slowly. "Nothing... Absolutely nothing..."
Getting out of the car carefully as she wobbled like a newborn fawn once her feet hit the pebbly dirt, Ruby turned around and lightly closed the door. Much to her dismay, the window shattered completely into bits.
"Sorry about that..." Ruby apologized as she grimaced at the mess. "I'll make sure to send some money over to the Arc clan..."
"Don't worry about it," Jaune nervously laughed as he waved his hand to reassure her. "But now that I think about it..."
"Yeah?" Ruby wondered.
"Do you think you can... um," he scratched the back of his head anxiously, a small blush sporting his cheeks. "You think you can give something to Pyrrha? You know, next time you see her?" he asked quietly.
Upon hearing the girl's name, Ruby felt pressure and heaviness pile on top of her chest. It was true, she would be seeing Pyrrha sometime soon. Really soon. And that was only because they would need to discuss an important negotiation; an important negotiation based on a possible upcoming marriage that was arranged by the Nikos family and her very own grandmother... The (forced) union would be formed for the sole purpose of "prospering" the Rose clan by combining another powerful group into the mix. One of many problems, however, was that Jaune really likes Pyrrha. Really, really, really, really likes her. As in, they're going steady on the down low.
"Y-yeah, I'll be sure to give it to her," Ruby hesitantly smiled.
Giving her a black box from out of his pocket, Jaune grinned sheepishly. "Thanks, Rubes."
"No probs, amigo," the young sixteen year old said, trying to sound "normal."
Watching as the beaten-up (black?) vehicle left from the scene, the redhead sighed greatly and dropped her head.
'Why do I feel like...'
Stopping her thoughts from passing into the infamous "self-loathing zone," the redhead gathered herself under control and walked over to the metal gate in front of her home. She pressed a white button.
"Can I please come in..." she miserably asked, talking into the small intercom above said button.
"I don't know, can you?" the voice replied as the gates opened.
'Gosh darn it, mom...' Ruby groaned. Walking into the Rose territory, the young girl was greeted by a blushing guard dressed in the familiar color scheme: red. He bowed to her.
"I'm sorry, Miss Rose..." he nervously apologized. "Your mother commanded us to tell jokes every time someone enters..."
"It's okay..." the redhead sighed as she tiredly waved her hand and continued to walk forward. Snapping out of her exhausted state, the girl quickly turned around and bombarded the startled guard.
"Wait, have you seen my sister!?" she asked as she gripped his shoulders tightly.
"Y-Your sister?" the guard repeated, looking scared at the young girl's penetrating stare. She nodded her head. He gulped, "Yes, Miss Xiao Long returned some time ago. But I wouldn't enter her quarters right no-"
"Thanks so much for the info!" Ruby shouted as she let go and quickly ran off. The guard stood confused as he watched the redhead disappear before his eyes.
'Dang, Yang... Leaving me behind...' the girl angrily thought as she focused on the wooden, outdoor path in front of her. 'Especially since...' she shook her head and blushed heavily.
Swiftly dodging the maids and other clan members, Ruby grabbed onto the bamboo roofing just outside a sliding door and stopped herself.
Jumping down with a light thud, she faced the door and scowled deeply. Clutching onto the handle, she roughly opened it, "Alright Yang! Now you're gonna get i-"
"Why did it stand up..." whispered a weepy voice as a ball of sheets rocked back and forth in the far corner of the room. "It shouldn't have stood up... I don't get it..."
Looking at the position the quiet blonde was in, Ruby furrowed her brows and skeptically stared at the small ball that was her sister. "Uh... Yang...?"
Snapping her wide eyes to the direction of the sixteen year old's voice, Yang quickly sprang up and dove for the redhead.
Having caught the blonde's animal like gaze, the younger girl panicked and stumbled backwards, "Yang wait!"
Latching her hands onto the prodigy's shoulders, Yang faced the floor beneath them. As silence took over for a short moment, Ruby made sure to stand extremely still. To be completely honest, she was somewhat afraid to see whatever expression the blonde was hiding behind her bangs.
'I have no idea what's going on...' Ruby thought, her body tensing up. 'But if I can find an escape somehow, maybe I can-'
The redhead narrowed her stare at the sound of light sniffles.
"I don't get it... I've trained for years... I've tried my hardest to perfect it... And yet... I failed..."
'A failed grimm infiltration?!' the redhead worryingly thought. 'Is that why she left earlier-'
"Why did my little guy have to stand up!" Yang cried as she shot her screams up to the ceiling. Ruby's eye twitched with disbelief.
"Tell me, Rubes..." Yang quietly spoke as she rose her hand to Ruby's face. The redhead flinched at her slow movement. "Am I... Am I still cool, baby sis...?" she asked as she cupped her cheek warmly and weakly smiled. Ruby's eye twitched again.
'Was she... crying?'
"Okay, what are you talking abo-"
"Please!" Yang pleaded as she trembled in her stance. Teary, lilac eyes gazed into bewildered, gray ones, "As your sibling... As your own flesh and blood... Ruby, please... tell me the truth..."
Feeling completely confused as she awkwardly looked at her older sibling's begging eyes, Ruby's brows knitted together. "Um sure... You're still cool...?" she answered, hoping it would satisfy whatever the blonde was worrying about.
Inhaling deeply as she wiped her eyes, Yang smirked widely. "Yeah... I know I am."
"Yeah, anyways," Ruby quickly said, taking the blonde's hand off of her cheek. For a solid second, the two teens stood in utter silence before a deep frown sprawled across the redhead's lips. Suddenly remembering why she waltzed into her sister's room in the first place, she smacked the blonde's arm. "Where the heck were you this morning!?" she angrily asked, irritation visible in her gray eyes.
"Ouch!" Yang winced as she rubbed the spot her sister had attacked. She puffed her cheeks out in a pout and furrowed her brows. "Rude much?"
"Ru-!?" Ruby pursed her lips and stopped herself from bursting out with various curses that her older sister would always flaunt around. She knew that she wasn't the kind of person to start randomly cussing. Nope, her sister was not going to influence her like that. She inhaled and exhaled deeply as she closed her eyes. Opening them, she turned to look sternly at the wondering blonde.
"I went to a wild party with you," she began as she rose an accusatory, index finger. "I drank something that most likely shortened my life span," she stepped closer to the perplexed blonde, shoving her finger into her shoulder. "I entered the dance floor and danced with gosh knows who," she grew closer as she pushed the older teen once more. Yang felt her back hit the wall. "And I woke up naked in a bed with someone I don't even know!" Ruby finished, red staining her cheeks.
Yang slowly widened her eyes. A grand smile formed on her lips, "No way... You finally scored!?" she excitingly asked.
Dropping the finger that was digging into her sister's shoulder, Ruby blushed heavily and rubbed the back of her neck. "No... Well, yes..." she sheepishly grinned. Her eyes widened, realizing what she was just admitting. "Gah no! I don't know!"
"Holy crap! Rubes! We gotta celebrate!" Yang grinned even wider, giving her younger sister a bone-crushing hug. Ruby felt her spine bend inhumanly; now she knew that such destructive hugs most likely ran in the family. The blonde let go, leaving a heaving and dazed redhead. "We gotta go out or something, dude! Maybe we can go to a nearby bar, get a few drinks-"
"No more drinking!" Ruby shouted, still trying to catch her own breath. She shook her head gently and stood straight. Yang grinned mischievously and drew closer to the prodigy.
"Still... Didn't think you had it in ya, baby sis," Yang winked as she softly elbowed her sister in the ribs. Ruby blushed at the blonde's praise.
"Yeah, well... Hehe," the redhead nervously chuckled, rubbing her neck once more. Suddenly snapping out of it, she frowned again and slapped her sister's elbow away. "No!"
"Ouch! Ruby that hurts!" the blonde whimpered as she held and caressed her arm. "We get it... You're really strong..."
"Look... Yang..." Ruby exhaled, feeling both physically and mentally exhausted. "What happened at that party was a huge, big blur."
"You said it," Yang laughed as she winked.
"No!" Ruby sharply countered. "That's bad..."
"Hm?" Yang wondered. "Why's it bad? I mean, you got drunk, you danced and you had sex. If I had any say in this, I think it actually went pretty good for you," she chuckled.
"Its bad because I!?-" Ruby stopped herself from continuing her sentence. Another wave of blush spread across her cheeks and nose. "It's bad... Because..." she hastily looked around, making sure no one was near to hear what she was about to say. She gestured for the blonde to lean in, wanting to whisper the next top secret phrase into her ear, "I did special moments time with someone I don't even know..."
Sucking her lips in with all of her might, Yang quickly pressed a hand to her mouth and turned away to hide her giggling expression. Forcing herself to stay quiet as she swallowed the desire to drop to the floor and laugh her brains off, the blonde bit her bottom lip and inhaled deeply. Ruby suspiciously eyed her sister shivering in silence. Dropping her hand after promising (to herself) that she wouldn't lose it, Yang turned around to face the young redhead again. "Yeah, don't worry, R-Rubes..." she said, trying to stay calm and collected. "Your-" she choked on her words, muffling her laughter. "Special moments time wasn't pfft-"
Blushing angrily as she watched her older sister drop to the floor and laugh wildly, Ruby crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks out. Looking at the blonde begin to roll around with no sense of direction whatsoever, the redhead's face grew even redder.
"Wh-wh-who says?!-" Yang cackled at the top of her lungs, ditching whatever she was about to say a moment ago. Ruby narrowed her gaze at the blonde, her cheeks puffing out even more as she tapped her foot impatiently against the wooden floor. As seconds turned into minutes, the loud laughter eventually settled into soft chuckles with a huffing blonde lying still on the ground, pushing out the last of her giggles.
"Damn, Ruby..." Yang gently coughed as she carefully got up and patted her clothes. "You better watch that profanity of yours," she chuckled as she wiped off the tears around her eyes. The redhead's stare grew hostile and annoyed. "Look, kid, it's all going to be okay," the blonde encouraged as she hooked an arm around the redhead's tense neck. "It's not like we all haven't done it before. Me-"
'Not really surprised...' Ruby thought as she rolled her eyes.
"-Nora, Ren-"
"I didn't need to know that..." the redhead grimaced, feeling somewhat disgusted.
"-heck, I'm sure even the snotty, snow princess has already given her "pureness" to someone too."
Ruby's eyes widened. 'What...' she furrowed her brows. Letting the information process in her mind, she suddenly felt her chest get heavy. She clutched the hem of her white collared shirt, hoping that the feeling would go away soon. Sensing a slight frown tugging on her lips, the girl hardened her grip. Why was she feeling like this?
"I even heard that mom did it when she was our age," the blonde informed as she gave a light chuckle.
Hearing her sister talk about her mother's "personal" life, Ruby shuddered with displeasure and regained her queasy train of thought.
"So don't worry about it, little sis," Yang said as she patted the redhead on the shoulder, hoping to ease her worries. "Just relax and enjoy the fact that you've reached adulthood, my dude. You're gonna be just fine," she smiled. Ruby turned to look at the bright curve on her sister's lips and gave a hesitant grin of her own. "Yeah, you're alright as long as you used a condom."
And just like that, Ruby's once "happy" grin cracked. 'What.'
"Yeah, as long as you used that little sucker, you're all good," Yang thumbed up as she winked. The color from the redhead's face faded.
"Used a... con...dom?" Ruby repeated, her voice higher than usual.
"Hm?" the blonde responded, raising a brow. "Yeah, you know, that thing that goes around your dic-"
"I get it!" Ruby interrupted, blushing at the word that was almost said. "But... But what if I didn't use a, um... condom...?"
The whole room stood still and silent as the young redhead's words hung heavily in the air.
"Whattaya talking about?" the blonde "smiled" as she nervously laughed. "Of course you used a condom! I mean, I did put one in your back pocket for a reason!" Yang "confidently" said as she patted the redhead's back. "Come on, don't scare me like that," she weakly grinned.
As her sister continued to pat her back reassuringly, the young assassin slowly moved her hand to her back. She carefully slid two fingers into her back pocket.
"Now stop joking around and let's go celebrate your adulthoo-"
"Yang..." Ruby quietly said.
"Yeah, sis?" the blonde replied.
Grabbing onto something between her middle and index finger, Ruby slowly lifted her hand to the front of her face. Both sisters stood abnormally still as they looked at the small, red packaging with wide and alarmed eyes.
"Rose Clan Condom..." Ruby slowly read as she nervously gulped. She looked at the tagline below it, her eyelids beginning to flutter anxiously. "Use your 'stem' wisely. Don't pollinate her."
The room stood silent again.
"Wait, wait, wait," Ruby chuckled, dismissing whatever thoughts that were most likely running through their minds. "I probably didn't even do special moment times with someone." Yang sniffed the air around the smiling redhead. "Yeah, you know, maybe I just got really tired last night from all the dancing and maybe I just took off all of my clothes and-"
"Nope," Yang intervened as she sniffed the air again. She shook her head, "You definitely smell like sex."
"How is that even possible!?" Ruby panicked and blushed, questioning why the girl had such an ability in the first place. Yang smirked.
"Rubes, when you're a cool person like me," she smiled smugly, "you get used to the smell."
"Why did I even..." Ruby groaned as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. Yang rolled her eyes and placed her hands on the sixteen year old's shoulders, scaring her a bit.
"Alright, let's get things straight. Well, not that straight, maybe a little gay... Wait, would that even be considered ga-"
"Can you please just get to the point..." Ruby sighed.
"Yeah, sorry," Yang shook her head. "Alright, you had sex. We can't deny that." Ruby groaned even louder. "You don't remember anything about them, and hopefully, if Xiaofei is on our side, she doesn't know who you are either." The redhead narrowed her gaze, feeling confused at what her sister was saying.
"Wait..." Ruby quietly interrupted. Yang shot her a perplexed stare. "How exactly do you know that this wasn't a guy that I slept with...?"
The blonde smiled coyly at the confused redhead, "Nah, I picked up the scent of pus-"
"Okay, I get it! You don't have to elaborate any further!" the redhead quickly said as her ears and face burned with discomfort.
"Yeah well, we know that the person you slept with was a chick and all but the reeealll question right now is if you used the "forbidden fruit of mankind" despite smelling like," the blonde smirked as she wiggled her brows, "Well, you know how." Ruby's cheeks felt like molten lava; she nodded, understanding her sister's comment.
"But what's this "forbidden fruit of mankind" you're talking about...?" the sixteen year old hesitantly questioned, feeling a bit scared at whatever her older sister was going to describe.
"Ah," Yang smiled widely, swinging her arm around the redhead's neck. "Picture this," the blonde began, raising her hand to the ceiling as she stared off into the distance; Ruby followed suit. "You wake up in the morning, it's nice and bright outside and you can even hear the birds and grasshoppers chirping loudly." Ruby nods her head slowly, still feeling a bit puzzled at what her sister was hinting at. "Even with all this beauty taking place all around you, you find yourself in dire need to quench your thirst," she playfully smirked. "So what do you do?" the older teen asked. Ruby furrowed her brows, feeling clueless.
"Go to the fridge to get a nice cup of water...?"
"No, no, no, no," Yang smiled, shaking her head. "You shoot a text to the nearest person available and you wait for your delivery."
'Delivery...?'
"And once you have the "delivery" in your hands... Well," Yang chuckled mischievously. "You just gotta take a nice, juicy bite out of it."
"Okay, what in the world are you talking about, Yang!" the redhead asked, feeling impatient.
"Why, my dear sister," the blonde smiled widely. "I'm talking about the solution that can solve all of our world's problems." Ruby narrowed her stare. "The booty."
"Wait... what?" Ruby asked, sounding frustrated.
"The booty," Yang repeated.
"Yeah... I got that," Ruby scowled. "But why the heck did you even mention that ridiculous scenario about waking up in the morning, hearing birds and grasshoppers, and being thirsty?!"
"What? A gal can't make an analogy about the beauty of nature and compare that to the booty?" Yang asked, furrowing her brows. The redhead rubbed her temples.
"Whatever..." Ruby sighed. "But... what if what happened last night didn't involve any boo-" she stopped herself, blushing at the word. "What if I didn't indulge in any of that..."
"Well..." Yang said as she looked up to the ceiling and huffed. "Then it all depends on how good your pull-out game was."
A sudden knock was heard outside the door.
"Miss Rose?" a woman's voice spoke. "Our lord and savior-"
Ruby rolled her eyes, 'Mom... Why that name...'
"-has requested your presence," the woman finished.
"I'll be sure to go as soon as pos-" Ruby stopped mid-sentence as the familiar sensation of nausea spread throughout her body. She made a mental note to avoid the "you-know-what" phrase for a while. And possibly Jaune's chauffeur too. Swallowing the waves of saliva that appeared in her mouth every second, she inhaled deeply. "I'll go in a bit..." she quietly mumbled as she placed her hand on her stomach. The blonde cocked a brow.
"Hey, Rubes?" Yang questioned as she rose her hand to the redhead's back. Not paying attention to Ruby's widened stare, she patted it, "Is everything alrig-"
In a split moment, last night's liquids from Nora's party suddenly erupted from her stomach and onto the ground. Vomiting like there was no tomorrow, Yang widened her eyes and screamed at the top of her lungs when she saw where some of the "chunks" had landed.
"Not on my new, limited edition, thousand dollar shoooooeeeesss!?"
XXX
Kneeling still on top of polished wood, Ruby placed her hands on her knees and bowed deeply in front of grand, golden bamboo doors. Behind such an extravagant entrance was one of the Rose clan's most important rooms: The Head's quarters. In said room, the current leader is the only one who is allowed to step foot inside (disregarding the maids who clean up). In these quarters, eating, sleeping, relaxation, and other "distressing" matters occur within the sacred room. For generations, such a rule has existed since the beginning of the clan's legacy. However, ever since the current leader (A.K.A. Ruby's mother) took over, things regarding traditions and rules have been... a bit different. And let's just say, Grandmother Scarlet was not a happy camper about it. Unfortunately for her, under The Head's rules: anything goes. "Mother, I have arrived," Ruby calmly spoke.
'And I'm kinda sorry for taking so long...' she nervously thought, remembering the unpleasant feeling of throwing up in front of her sister, guards, and maids. She shook the upcoming blush away.
The shiny and gold bamboo doors slid open smoothly, revealing a single woman sitting in the middle of a furnished room. Dressed loosely in a red and black, silk robe as pillows and blankets draped themselves around her lower half, the intense looking woman narrowed her gaze at the kneeling redhead.
Ruby gulped at the surrounding silence as she remained in her deep bow. Despite being goofy sometimes, it was still her mother's duty to uphold her title as The Head. And unfortunately, that includes her mother's "deathly" stare and cold attitude. Feeling a subtle scrap on her cheek, the redhead furrowed her brows in confusion. 'Huh...?' she thought as she glanced to her side, still in her bow. She rose an eyebrow as her stare locked itself onto the four-legged, furry feline next to her. 'A cat?'
"Ruby, my daughter," the woman spoke, authority and power engraved into her voice. "You may look up."
Slowly raising her head as her eyes adjusted to the newfound light, the young redhead stopped squinting and admirably looked forward to gaze at a blonde woman sitting cross-legged around a sea of fabrics. Kneeling still as she awaited for her mother's next move, Ruby took the opportunity to examine the world-renowned "Dragon of the West." After all, it wasn't everyday that the young prodigy was able to see her own parent. Ruby squinted once more after a wave of light hit her square in the face.
'Dang it, mom...' Ruby inwardly complained as she cursed at her mother's shiny hair. Possessing long, curly, and gold locks, one could without a doubt see the similarities between the older woman and her first born, Yang. Looking almost like carbon copies of one another, one could still see the differences between them in the forms of blemishes (scars that the older woman had on her left eyebrow and on the corner of her chin), the many tattoos based on ancient dragons and roses she had acquired throughout the years, and her eyes. Her intimidating, sharp, cold, gray colored eyes that seemed to have been passed down from her Grandmother Scarlet (except for the color, of course). Ruby shuddered at the thought of the terrifying elder.
"Well," The Head announced as her stare narrowed even further. The atmosphere felt heavy, silence hanging in the air thickly as the sixteen year old stood extremely still. A small grin tugged onto the blonde's lips, "Aren't you going to give your own mother a hug?" she chuckled. Even with the grand title of being The Head to one of the biggest, most notorious assassin clans in the world, she would, within a heartbeat, give all of that up for her daughters.
Ruby smiled widely and ran over to the equally grinning blonde, settling her smaller body into her mother's open arms. Snuggling her head into the crook of her mother's neck, the redhead closed her eyes in comfort and laid her hands on the woman's arms.
"How's my little rose doing?" Lillian cooed as she gently ran her fingers through her daughter's hair.
"I'm..." the redhead sucked in some air, hesitantly releasing it. She gripped onto her mother's sleeve, "Doing pretty bad..." she confessed, regretting it a second after. Whenever she had the chance to spend some time with her mother, the redhead would rather relax and converse about good and happy topics. She definitely did not want to use up her time to mope around and sulk. She shook her thoughts away. "But," the young teen continued, sporting a small grin. "I'm feeling a little better now that we're hugging."
The blonde smiled. "That's good. You're gonna need that smile soon for everyone here." The redhead felt her grin begin to slowly fade. "I think ending the reign of the "cold" and "heartless" Head will be a nice change of scenery around here. Everyone's just too scared of me," she laughed. "I even tried being funny but I guess they still find that scary."
Ruby bit her bottom lip as she moved away from her mother's neck to look at the woman seriously. Lillian furrowed her brows and crossed her arms, wondering why her daughter was looking pale and somber. "Do," she quietly said, fidgeting in place as she twiddled with her thumbs. The blonde sighed discreetly; she had a strong feeling of what the redhead was about to ask. "Do I really have to be the next Head?"
Lillian sighed once again, but louder. Looking into the redhead's nervous gaze, she smiled sincerely. "Ruby, I know you'll do just fine. I know you will, kid," she kindly encouraged as she gently ruffled her daughter's hair. Ruby gave a simple grin to the action. "I mean come on, you do have my DNA and I'm pretty much the best there is in the whole damn world!" the blonde proudly shouted as she thumped her own chest with a tight fist, eliciting a small chuckle from the redhead. Lillian mentally thanked the gods for her daughter's reaction. "Point is, I know this seems like a really hard task and definitely a lot of responsibility to handle, but... your mother's getting to that point where she's gotta retire and give the throne to the next person in line. And seeing how..." she slowly drew out, narrowing her gaze at the redhead. "There are certain requirements when it comes to being The Head..." She crossed her arms again, looking away. Ruby's brows knitted together; it almost looked as if her mother was... pained. Lillian exhaled deeply and turned to smile at the perplexed sixteen year old. "And it just so happens that those requirements fit you, my little rose."
Just as she was about to slump her shoulders and sigh, her mother spoke up, "But! Don't worry! Even if I'm seen as an old lady now, I'll still hang around to help if you find yourself stuck in any problem," Lillian grinned.
Ruby rolled her eyes, "Mom, you're only thirty-four years old. You practically look like Yang's twin. Well, minus all of the tattoos, scars, and your eyes," she corrected. The blonde looked horrified.
"What!? You think I look like that weenie?" Lillian scoffed, feigning to be hurt as she placed a hand to her heart. The two sat in complete silence until giggles and full-on laughter erupted from both Rose women.
Laughing at the top of her lungs, the blonde suddenly stopped and violently coughed. Ruby widened her eyes.
"Mom!" she panicked as she quickly got up. Lillian held her hand up to stop the girl as she continued coughing; Ruby watched worryingly.
"I'm alright, calm down," the blonde said, reassuring the redhead. She wiped the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand. "You're acting as if I'm gonna bite the dust in the next minute."
"Well..." Ruby quietly said, looking down to face the polished wood in between her legs. "You have been sick since the last time I saw you, which was like two weeks ago, and..." The words died in her throat, haunting her inner thoughts. Sensing something heavy in her chest, the redhead clenched her fists with all of her might. She was in serious danger now as wetness began to pile up in the corner of her eyes.
Eyeing the shaking prodigy, Lillian drew forward and embraced her daughter tightly. Ruby was quick to wrap her arms around the woman. In times like this, there was no need to explain anything at all; the blonde knew too well why tears would even be shed in the first place.
"I just..."
Lillian hugged her tighter. "Hey, it's alright," she gently smiled. "I'm here to stay, Ruby, it's going to be okay. I'm not going anywhere. Promise, kid," she softly whispered as she ran her hand through her red locks again, hoping that it would calm the disheartened redhead.
"I know, it's just-" She stopped, clutching onto her mother's robe. "It's just that I really miss mom..." Ruby quietly admitted.
"Whattaya talkin' about!? I'm right here!" Lillian joked, trying to lighten up the mood with her boisterous self. Thankfully, it worked as she felt soft giggles bounce off her shoulder.
"You know what I mean, mom," Ruby mumbled, sporting a melancholic smile.
"Yes, but," the blonde grinned, "I know your mother would have been very proud of you, my little rose," she gently murmured, running her slender fingers through the redhead's hair.
"Yeah... " the teen assassin quietly replied. "Thanks, mom.."
Lillian held her closer. "Any time, kiddo..."
Basking in the warm and peaceful atmosphere for a few moments, the two relaxed in each other's comforting embrace. Feeling the cool, pre-fall breeze brush against their skin and pass through their hair, the blonde grew a small smile as the scent of lilacs and roses hovered under her nose.
'The flowers are blooming just fine, Summer...' Lillian grinned wider as she kissed the top of Ruby's head. Moving her lips away, the blonde stopped her movements as she detected yet another scent. A very familiar scent she was quite aware of.
"Hey, Rubes?" she questioned as she sniffed the air again. The young girl hummed in response. A mischievous smirk formed on her lips, "Have you been fu-"
Unfortunately for the blonde (and thankfully for Ruby), her sentence was cut short when a loud shout echoed throughout the clan territory.
"RUUUBBYYYY!"
The redhead detached herself from her mother and furrowed her brows. 'Is that...?'
In a quick and clumsy gesture, a sudden Yang appeared at the edge of the entrance. Skidding across the wooden floor with just her socks on, the young blonde grabbed onto one of the golden doors to make herself stop; both Rose women stared at the disheveled and out of breath blonde gasping for air. Turning to stare at the perplexed looking leader, Yang pressed her hands together in a prayer like motion and swiftly bowed. "Hello, mother," she promptly introduced, stepping into her mother's quarters.
"Yo," Lillian calmly responded as she held up a peace sign.
"Oh gosh, Yang, I said I was sorry about your shoes-"
"Forget about that! Have you checked your AssassinBook?!" Yang frantically asked as she hastily approached the mother and daughter duo sitting on the ground. Ruby suspiciously eyed the troubled look on her sister's face. If she was truly Yang's sibling, she would know that the young, laid-back blonde would never be caught sporting such an expression.
"No...?" Ruby slowly drew out, feeling clueless to the question. "I don't have my phone on me right now. But why do you ask? Is something wro-"
Feeling impatient, Yang quickly took out her smartphone from her jean pocket and roughly placed it in the redhead's hands. Holding the cellular device as she kept her puzzled stare on the sweating teen blonde, Ruby slowly turned her gaze to the phone in front of her. Eyes quietly scanning the words on the illuminated screen, the redhead's pupils grew large as she read the various article titles on the app.
Rose Clan Scandal!?
Who is the Mysterious Woman 'Rose Clan's' Ruby Rose Locked Lips With!?
Merging More Than Just Clans. Who Did Ruby Rose Sleep With?
Will the Young Rose's Coronation Still Occur?
Gray eyes looking as if they were about to pop out of their eye sockets, Ruby's jaw fell to the floor when she came across a blurred picture of her Friday night self hugging someone intimately. Zooming into the photo as she practically pressed the phone into her face, the young assassin panicked when the identity of the fairly close individual was still a mystery.
'WHAT IS THIS...'
Quickly scrolling down the app to see if there were any comments relating to the situation, Ruby felt herself beginning to hyperventilate.
'THERE IS!'
"Sooooo, anyone know who Ruby fucked? I was wayyyyy too "sober" last night lol," someone commented over an hour ago, already having about a hundred likes and comments. Looking closer, the sweating redhead saw that it was from the host herself!
'NORA!' Ruby blushed heavily, redness taking over her whole face and ears.
"Aww, so does that mean Ruby's taken?" another one posted, having over a thousand likes!
Going further down the socializing app, the young redhead felt her head pound with agony and embarrassment as she read comments like "When's the wedding?" from "Looks like getting some does run in the family," to "I heard there's a sex tape!"
'Noooooooooooo!' Ruby internally yelled as placed the phone down to silently sulk.
"What's wrong, honey?" Lillian asked, looking confused as she rubbed the young redhead's back.
'Oh no…' Ruby thought, fear surging through her veins. Placing a hand on her stomach, she felt her whole body begin to vibrate. 'How am I going to tell mo-'
"Ruby. Summer. Rose."
Widening her eyes even further at the sound of the newcomer in the room, the sixteen year old girl felt every strand of hair behind her neck stand up. She knew this voice from the bottom of her heart, from the deepest corners of her mind. This cold, sharp, angry voice was practically embedded within her memory bank. Her heartbeat quickened.
Shakily turning her head, Ruby forced herself to put on a "proper" grin that her grandmother had taught her to pull. It was a smile in which the wearer would come off as authoritative, respectful, and attentive. Unfortunately for the redhead, the fear running through her won, causing her to display a weak and hesitant grin. "Gra-Grandma Scarlet…" she nervously stuttered. Looking at the still short form of her grandmother standing under the doorway, Ruby could sense the immense punishment from behind her scorching, enraged stare. If looks could kill, her grandmother would have killed her five times in a row, ordered her to study every scroll in the clan's library, kill her again, command her to train until her body reduces itself to mere bones, go through all the scrolls in the library once more, and then have her executed in front of all the other clans in the region. Yeah, that sounds about right.
"Mother, what are you doing here?" Lillian asked, breaking the silence.
"What am I doing here...?" the elder spoke, clear venom behind her tone. Ruby felt her breathing become heavier as the small woman slowly approached the trio. "Your disgraceful, despicable, shameful daughter," she viciously said, growing closer to the group; at a snail's pace, the redhead backed away with every step she took. "-did something that can affect our status as a prestigious and noble clan."
"What do you mean?" Lillian questioned, narrowing her gaze at the old woman. She turned to look at her youngest daughter, who at the moment, was stuck in a fluster.
'Come on, Ruby... Talk. Tell mom the truth!' The redhead swallowed her agitation.
"You see, mom..." Ruby quietly spoke, catching the attention of everyone in the room. Feeling all stares on her, the young prodigy felt herself becoming sick again. She let out a shaky breath. "I... I might have-"
"SILENCE!" a shrill voice boomed throughout the room. "You are in no position to speak, you disgraceful whore!" the elder spat as she glowered at the now shivering redhead. Ruby's frightened eyes couldn't pull themselves away from the terrifying person in front of her; her breath grew heavier.
"Hey!" Yang intervened, angrily glaring at her grandmother. "Don't talk to my sister like that, you old bit-"
"Yang, stop," Lillian calmly interrupted as she rose her hand to the steaming teen. She turned her gaze back to the old woman, to her own mother.
"You," she began, fury behind her voice. Ruby blinked at the sound of her mother; she looked over to the blonde woman. Gray, penetrating eyes bore into enraged, lavender ones. "Don't you ever call my daughter a whore," The Head growled. "You're beginning to forget who's in charge here."
The elder scoffed at her remark, "Yes, and here you are, right? Please, child, perhaps you're beginning to forget who brought you into this world," she snarled. Yang grimaced.
"Gross..." she quietly whispered. Receiving a threatening look from her grandmother, she backed off. Scarlet turned her furious gaze to her daughter.
"Consider yourself lucky that your other mother wanted a child," the elder brusquely spoke.
"Hah," Lillian laughed, sarcasm etched into her action. "Mama Yang needed an heir to take over the place once they were gone and we both know what her qualifications were all about, don't we, Ma?" the blonde smirked as visible distress displayed itself on the elder's features. Ruby and Yang looked at each other, confusion written all over their faces. "So how about we stop this "I brought you into this world" act because we're both painfully aware that I was going to have to happen if you wanted to keep your precious, little title. Right?" she scowled, shooting the old woman a dangerous stare. Again, silence and hostility hung in the atmosphere as the two women in the room glared daggers at one another. Sighing greatly, the blonde leader shook her head in disapproval and changed the heated subject.
"Anyways," Lillian smiled, switching her tone of voice to a happier one. She turned her now kind gaze back to the bewildered looking redhead, "What seems to be the problem, baby girl?"
"W-Well," Ruby nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck.
'HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL HER NOW THAT SHE'S ALL FIRED UP AFTER TALKING TO GRANDMA SCARLET!?' she screamed within her mind as she mentally pulled out her hair.
"Y-You remember how you let me go to last night's party at Nora's with Yang yesterday?" Ruby questioned with a weak smile, feeling beads of sweat drip down her forehead.
"Yes, I remember," Lillian replied, still grinning at her daughter.
"Well..." the redhead laughed, every muscle in her body too tensed to reveal the "big" news. "I think I may have, um..." she gulped. "Done something... really bad…" she admitted, keeping her stare to the floor beneath them.
"Hm?" the blonde mother wondered. "Something bad?"
"Y-yeah," the sixteen year old replied, heart beat racing even faster. The Head cocked an eyebrow and suspiciously looked at the panicking redhead.
"Scale on one to ten," Lillian commanded as she crossed her arms.
"Hehe... You know... Pssshhhh... Twenty..." she whimpered as she ducked her head. The blonde narrowed her gaze threateningly.
"Well," Lillian began, changing her tone to sound both assertive and strict. "Go on with it."
Ruby felt her own beating heart pound against her ears. She gulped once more, "W-Well, I might have... you know..." she squeaked. Bracing herself for the inevitable doom that was about to take place, she closed her eyes tightly and quickly confessed her supposed sins, "-done special moments time with someone!"
The room stood quiet.
Lillian furrowed her brows with complete wonderment. "Done what?" she asked, feeling baffled as to what the redhead was trying to convey. Surprised, Ruby opened her eyes.
She nervously coughed. "You know..." she mumbled as she shied away and averted her gaze, twiddling her thumbs. "Did the thingy majiggy with someone..." she whispered.
"What?" Lillian questioned again, scrunching up her face in confusion, "Ruby, what the hell are you talking about?"
"Um…." the redhead pondered, looking around the room for an answer. "I might have.. played "house" with another person..." she said as rose her hands to imitate quotation marks. Her mother was still sporting a perplexed expression. Ruby swallowed once more.
"You know..." she chuckled, sounding very anxious. "I might have done more than just "hang out" with a friend... kinda like Yang..."
"Hey!" the blonde teen interjected.
Glancing quickly to see if it finally clicked in her mother's head, she saw that the blonde leader was still dumbfounded. "You know, I might have gotten down and dirt-"
"For crying out loud, child! She had sex, Lillian!" the elder shouted, tired of the redhead's repetitive remarks.
The whole room stood quiet again.
'I'm doomed, I'm dead... Yeaup, this is how I die... Young and stupid... Thank you, Yang, for taking me out one last time before I met my end...' Ruby internally sobbed. "But at least I won't have to be The Head anytime soon….'
"You had sex?" Lillian asked, her brows knitted together. Ruby closed her eyes and nodded. Narrowing her stare at the redhead, Lillian slowly raised her hand in the air. Seeing that the gesture was directed toward her sister, Yang began to panic.
"Wait, mom!" the blonde shouted as she worryingly held up her hands to capture her mother's attention. "It was my fault and!-"
"Well come on and give your momma a big ole' high-five!" Lillian yelled, sounding a little too happy. Everyone (minus The Head) furrowed their brows and looked at the thirty four year old with bewilderment.
"What...?" Ruby questioned as she hesitantly gave the blonde woman an unenthusiastic high-five.
"That totally explains why you smelled like sex!" Lillian realized as she crossed her arms and closed her eyes in content. "And it kinda smelled "rough" too..." she pondered. Ruby blushed heavily and widened her eyes.
"I was thinking the same thing!" Yang smiled widely. Lillian smirked at her boasting daughter.
"Never doubt a Xiao Long's sense of smell," the blonde mother said, pride etched onto her words. Ruby felt her cheeks and ears melt away from intense heat emanating from them.
"What are you talking about, Lillian!? Have you and the rest of this family gone mad?!" she spat, looking angrily at the trio in front of her. Yang smirked and ran her hand through her blonde locks.
"We all go a little mad sometimes," she said smoothly, her smirk growing wider. Lillian turned to look at her oldest daughter and smiled smugly in return; she held out a tight fist.
"Psycho?" The Head asked as her blonde daughter "fist bumped" her.
"You know it," Yang replied as she snickered. Scarlet eyed the two with visible horror in her widened stare.
"This is insane, Lillian! Your daughter is now deemed a whore for having sex before marriage!" the elder yelled, hoping that the Rose clan leader would understand the "consequences" of the redhead's actions. Unfortunately for her, it was only able to draw out a long, annoyed-filled sigh from the blonde woman.
"Ma, be quiet. You'll wake up the cats," Lillian groaned as she rubbed the side of her head, looking frustrated. Turning to look at her young, trembling daughter, she smiled widely, displaying a perfect row of white teeth. Her eyes beamed with joy as Ruby continued to keep her muddled stare on her "as-happy-as-a-clam" mother, "Now Ruby, my dear daughter," she grinned, looking giddy. She patted the spot next to her; giving it a second thought, the redhead complied and scooched over. Almost immediately, her whole body tensed up when she felt strong, long arms wrap around her torso. "How does it feel to be a woman! My little assassin's all grown up!" Lillian cheerfully shouted as she squeezed the tiny redhead. Ruby's face began to turn purple.
Tapping her mother's arm with whatever strength she could pull together, the young sixteen year old coughed and gasped for air when The Head pulled away to kindly rub her shoulder. With her arm draping over her daughter's shoulder, Lillian sighed happily, "Everything's all good..." she said as a small grin formed on her lips. She rubbed the girl's shoulder again, "As long as you wrapped your willy."
Minus the still coughing redhead, the room grew quiet again.
"W-What?" Ruby questioned, furrowing her brows as she thumped her chest for air.
"You know," Lillian chuckled, giving her shoulder a comforting pat. "Containing your head before sticking it in the shed." Looking uncertain, Ruby narrowed her gaze. "Come on, Rubes. You packaged your meat before going into heat?" she asked, hoping her daughter would catch on. Ruby shook her head, still puzzled as to what her mother was hinting at. "Oh, how about plugging your funnel before entering the tunn-"
"Damn it, mom!" Yang yelled, throwing her hands in the air. She looked over to the redhead. "Ruby, she's asking if you used a condom!" she angrily explained.
"Ohhh…" Ruby replied, a light bulb finally going off in her head. In an instant, her entire face and ears lit up. If it was possible (for her), steam would have been emanating from the top of her head. "Well, about that... hehe," she "laughed," rubbing the back of her neck. "The thing is…."
"Child, for your sake, you better end that sentence with a yes," Scarlet warned, poison and punishment attached to her words.
Goosebumps appeared throughout the redhead's body. "You see..." she slowly began, her complexion beginning to turn the color green again.
Looking at her younger sister worryingly, Yang pursed her lips and tapped her foot on the wooden floor. She knew that Ruby was in some pretty deep cow manure that even she was afraid of. As her older sibling (as well as the "hotter" one (no pun intended)), she felt that it was her responsibility to "save" the day and help her out; plus, it was also somewhat her fault for engaging her to drink wildly last night. But then again, the blonde would never admit that to herself or anyone. She exhaled her frustrations.
"Come on, you guys, this is Ruby we're talking about!" Yang intercepted, drawing everyone's attention. "I'm like, almost one-hundred percent sure that she used protection," she said as her brows knitted together. She turned her gaze to the petrified looking prodigy. "Right, Ruby?" she asked, hoping that her sister would play along.
Ruby looked at her older sister, surprised at the blonde's "rescue" attempt. Yang narrowed her stare at the stunned redhead, signaling her to answer. "Ye-Yeah," she stuttered, quickly nodding her head to her grandmother and mother. Smiling weakly, she turned to look at her sister once more, subtly nodding her head to the smirking blonde. However, her silent "thank you" was interrupted when a sharp voice spoke.
"You better be sure," Scarlet growled. "Or else you'll be making the biggest mistake of your life," she shifted her glare to her own daughter. "Just like your mother."
"I didn't make a mistake, mother," Lillian scowled deeply. "Now, please leave my sight before you say something you might regret. As long as Ruby's coronation is within process, I'm still in charge of everything and everyone. Including you," she smirked. Scarlet's gaze darkened.
Sporting a frown and a piercing stare, the old woman turned around and walked out onto the polished deck. Right as the elder was about to completely disappear from their view, Yang quickly spoke up.
"Wait, Grandma Scarlet!" she called out, succeeding as the elder stopped in her tracks. "Before you leave, can I ask how you found out about Ruby's little problem?" she asked. "I mean, I know that you're probably a little too old to be having an AssassinBook, and believe me, I'm not judging you or anything if you do, seeing how elders need to have fun and al-"
"Silence, you insolent child!" the elder spat, facing the blonde. Backing away a bit, Yang stood silent. She frowned deeply and looked at the other Rose women within the room, "I received a call today from the Nikos clan. They wanted to cancel the agreement that we arranged between our clans."
'Oh, thank gosh!' Ruby beamed with relief. Relaxing her posture, she sighed happily. 'Now Jaune can be with Pyrrha...'
"Wipe that smile off your face, girl," Scarlet threatened. "We are still negotiating the union between the Rose clan and the Nikos clan so don't think for a moment that this is over."
"Eep! Yes, Grandmother Scarlet!" Ruby complied as she stood up straight. Giving one last glower to the young redhead, the elder turned away and left the scene.
Waiting for her grandmother's steps to fade into nothingness, Ruby slumped her shoulders and exhaled once she knew that the old woman was nowhere near them.
"Just ignore her, she's always been like that," Lillian sighed, rubbing her temples.
"But, mom..." Ruby frowned, looking sad and tired. "I did something stupid... I slept with someone last night at that party after drinking Xiaofei knows what!" she admitted, flailing her arms in frustration. "Not to mention, it was with someone who I can't even remember..." Feeling a hand on her shoulder, the girl looked to her side to be staring at a smiling Yang.
"It's alright, sis," the blonde grinned. "I mean, let's be real, you were bound to get some ever since word got out of your coronation."
"Not while I'm still sixteen!" the redhead yelled as she hid her face in between her hands.
"Hey, I was doing it when I was sixteen," Yang confessed, smirking widely.
"Mom..." Ruby groaned.
"Okay, first of all," Lillian began. "High five, Yang," she said as she held her hand up to the blonde. "Secondly, Ruby, before we start celebrating your defloration," she snickered, making the blonde chuckle and the redhead groan even louder. Suddenly discarding her smile, The Head grabbed onto her youngest daughter's upper arms and squeezed tightly. Ruby yelped as her petrified gaze bore into her mother's serious one. "Are you absolutely, one-hundred-percent-with-sprinkles-on-top sure you used protection?" she hastily asked. The redhead gulped and sat quietly as she continued to look at her mother's expression. She felt herself shiver when she read the woman's gray eyes; something about her stern stare contained a mixture of "worried and scared" as well as "your body is going to magically disappear if I find out that you're lying to me."
"Y-Yeah..." Ruby hesitated, wearing a "convincing" grin.
Lillian sighed, relieved to hear her child's response. She let go of her "death" grip and gave the redhead a light pat on the shoulder. "Good..." she said as she ran her hand through her blonde locks. Her expression changed as a smile made its way onto her lips, "Well, kiddo, your coronation will still happen in about two weeks. In the meantime, just relax,, take a deep breath, and be proud! You're practically a grown up now!" Lillian gleamed with contentment.
"Yeah…. a "proud" grown up who happens to be different than other girls, had drunk fornication at the age of sixteen, and will soon be running a top, hundred year old clan…" Ruby muttered, appearing both somber and exhausted.
"Don't forget that you still have to find someone else to rule with," Yang added nonchalantly, making the redhead glare at her.
"We'll most likely have to search for a new one later on now that the Nikos clan backed out," Lillian sighed. "Such a shame, really... Pyrrha would have been a great wife… I mean, look at her. She's smart, kind, gorgeous, sex-"
"Mom!" Ruby yelled, blushing furiously with her brows knitted together. "Please stop!"
Lillian shook her head and exhaled deeply. "Sometimes I wonder if you really are my child. But then again, you did get more of Summer's genes, I guess….."
'Thank goodness….' Ruby thought to herself. 'Then I would've been doing more of what Yang does every time she goes out with a "friend,"' she grimaced.
"Hey, mom..." Yang spoke, alerting her mother and the young redhead as her eyes scanned the room around them.
"Yo?" The Head replied.
"Why are there so many cats here?" the blonde asked as she looked at the many sleeping felines lying all over the floors and furniture behind them.
"Oh, them?" her mother asked as she examined said cats. She smirked mischievously, "I guess you can say that I'm surrounded by so much puss-"
"Mom..." Ruby grumbled. "Please don't... Yang's already enough to deal with..."
Looking at Ruby's tiresome expression as well as Yang's insulted one, Lillian couldn't help but burst with heavy laughter. Both the redhead and the blonde looked at one another. Did their mother ever laugh like this? And if she did, when was the last time that happened?
Wiping a tear from the corner of her eye as she continued to chuckle, The Head rose her hand to ruffle the redhead's hair. Ruby groused as she fixed her red locks. "Xiaofei, I have such great daughters..." Lillian smiled. Sighing happily, she crossed her arms and closed her eyes, "Your mother loved cats. A lot, in fact," she explained. Both of the sisters stood very still as they listened. "So, when I saw that more and more cats came with each day that passed, eventually, I just gave them this room for their own relaxation."
'Oh...' Both of the sisters thought as they nodded.
"Plus," Lillian chuckled. "It gets a lot less lonely here with a bunch of these guys," she confessed as she pointed her thumb to the felines lazing around. Ruby furrowed her brows and frowned. "But if you'll excuse me," the blonde woman began as she stretched her arms. "I'm gonna go hit the hay now. So, if need anything else, now would be the time to ask," she finished as she got up. Ruby and Yang cocked an eyebrow.
"Wait, I thought you slept here... I mean, your sleeping stuff is already set up," Yang questioned.
"Hell no!" Lillian quickly retorted. "I just sit here to look like a "responsible" and "prominent" leader," she scoffed. "I am so not sleeping on these floors without a comfy mattress under me. I can't afford to mess up my back before I go to The Islands," she grumbled as she picked up the blankets and pillows. "Not to mention, these friggin' cats give me the creeps when it gets dark and all you can see is their huge, glowing, demon eyes..." she shivered.
'I thought she liked them-'
"Wait..." Ruby realized. "The Islands? You're going on a vacation?" she asked, slight irritation in her tone. Narrowing her gaze at her mother, Lillian froze. "Something tells me you're planning to head there after my coronation, mom…. Because you and I both know that you can't leave the region unless it's extremely important..." she frowned, looking angry. "Which brings me to my next point... What's got you going to The Islands so suddenly?"
"Uh…" her mother nervously smiled, sweating at her daughter's interrogation. "Well, you see..." she chuckled uneasily. Throwing a smoke bomb on the ground, the woman quickly shouted "Goodnight, girls!" before disappearing into thin air.
"What the…." Ruby said as she looked around the room. She sighed and slumped her shoulders, "I hate it when she does that… But..."
'What am I going to do about this whole "last night" situation...'
"Hey Ruby, look," Yang laughed. The redhead turned her head to look at her older sister. Having a cat placed on her privates, the blonde smirked. "Guess I can be called a "full" girl now, huh?"
Ruby palmed her face in embarrassment. "Gosh darn it, Yang..."
Still snickering, the blonde immediately stopped when the feline below began to wriggle uncontrollably in her grip. "Wait, kitty! I'm sorry, please don't-"
With a fierce swipe to her "special" spot, the Rose clan was heard from a mile away.

'Those two will be just fine...' Lillian contently smiled as she walked through a narrow hall. Carrying her blankets and pillows under her arms, she stopped in her tracks when her surprised gaze locked onto a familiar being standing in the middle of the corridor.
"Hey, Val," she grinned widely as she walked toward the silent maid.
"Hello, Ms. Rose," the prim and proper looking woman greeted as she bowed.
"Come on, Val," Lillian chuckled. "No need to keep calling me that."
"But it is clan orders, ma'am," she monotonously said as she stayed in her bow.
Furrowing her brows at the woman's compliance, Lillian perked up at the sight of the maid's long, side braid. She smirked playfully, "Looks like you actually went ahead and dyed your hair just the way you wanted it, huh?" she smiled as she eyed the ombre effect of dark brown and light blonde on the woman's hair. Valerie visibly twitched in her bow, however, stiffened her stance. A light tint of pink sat on her cheeks as her brows knitted together.
"This was the wish of Your Highness," she tried saying without any emotion attached to it. Too bad she still had that slight blush on her cheeks.
"Mmmmmmm nope," the blonde grinned. "I'm pretty sure I remember a certain young maid looking at fashion and hair magazines back in the day. And I certainly remember that young maid drooling all over that exact hair color," she snickered. Valerie widened her eyes and blushed heavily. "But..." she smirked. Stuffing the pillows and blankets under one arm, The Head walked up to the woman. Placing her hand under the maid's chin, Lillian rose her chin and meet her flustered gaze. Her calm, gray eyes searched Valerie's agitated stare.
"Look," the blonde gently began. "You don't have to pretend with me. You know that you have the free will to do anything, Val. I established that, remember?" she smiled warmly.
Staring at the kind expression the slightly taller woman was wearing, the maid felt speechless. Realizing how close the blonde was, Valerie shook her head and stepped back as she rubbed her forehead. She sighed as Lillian chuckled.
"Still that persistent womanizer..." the maid in charge muttered as she continued to shake her head disapprovingly. Lillian smiled widely.
"You know it," she winked. Valerie crossed her arms and bit her bottom lip.
"But, still," she exhaled again. "What do you want me to do with those cats?" she asked.
"Whattaya mean?" the blonde questioned as she rearranged the pillows and blankets under both arms again.
"Did you not say that they disturb you?" the maid said as she rose a brow.
Lillian laughed, "Geez, Val. Take a chill pill and relax, I was just kidding. You know, playing around and all that jazz," she smiled mischievously.
"As The Head, you shouldn't be playing around," Valerie strictly advised.
"Hm?" the blonde ignored. "Sorry about that, my hearing is only open to those who aren't boring~" she snickered.
Valerie sighed and furrowed her brows, "I still can't believe you were in control for so many years..."
"Well believe it!" the blonde loudly said as she beamed with pride. "But, if you'll excuse me, love," she smirked as she walked past the now blushing maid, "This old dragon has some sleeping to do."
"Wait!" the hazel eyed girl called out, making The Head stop. "What about those cats?" she asked, a blush still present on her cheeks.
"Hmmmm," Lillian thought aloud. "Just let them roam around, no harm done to the clan."
"But aren't you allergic to them?" Val questioned, looking confused.
"Yeah, well," Lillian grinned. "They remind of a certain vicious redhead. Both have a quick temper and both love to take it easy," she laughed. "But at the same time, they sure know how to make everything feel cozy..."
A few moments passed without a single word being said.
"Ms...?"
"Just keep the cats there, Val," Lillian waved as she continued to make her way to the end of the hall.
"Yes, ma'am," Valerie bowed.
Smiling happily with every step she took, the blonde closed her eyes and hugged the blankets and pillows closer to her body.
'You're lucky I love you this much, Summer... Or else those cats would have been thrown out ages ago!'

Eleven years ago...
"I can't believe this…." a certain short haired blonde mumbled as she prompted her chin on top of her hand. Slowly drawing messy "circles" on the green table below her, she sighed in sadness. "My little girl… associating with the enemy…"
"Lillian…" Summer "nicely" began. The blonde felt herself shiver in her seat.
"Surely you jest," a man with silver hair and enormous biceps irritably spoke from across the table.
"Here we go again…" Mary muttered as she rolled her eyes.
"You think I'm kidding, you stupid mutt?" Lillian lowly growled.
Slowly rising from his chair, he slammed his hands onto the patio table. "What did you say…" he glared daggers.
"I said…" Lillian retorted, getting up from her seat as well, "That you are a stupid mutt…" she smirked.
Clenching his jaw until a plump vein appeared on his forehead, Grey's hands closed into tight fists. He smiled smugly, "That's funny coming from an irresponsible imbecile such as yourself…"
The chair behind Lillian screeched away from her. "You wanna go?" the Rose clan leader threatened as she moved her hand to her back, pant pocket.
"I'M WAY AHEAD OF YOU!" Grey shouted as his hand made its way into his front jean pocket.
Both sighing at the same time, Summer and Mary effortlessly pulled their own spouse back down into their seats.
"Lillian, isn't this just a lovely day?" Summer "kindly" smiled as she discreetly pressed a kunai knife closer to the sweating blonde's side.
"Y-Y-Yes it is! Such a wonderful day!" the blonde shouted with "glee."
"I'm so happy the two of you could join us," Mary commented as she squeezed a knife below the green table; Grey twitched. "Right, honey?" she "innocently" grinned as she looked to her much taller husband.
"W-Why yes we are!" he quickly agreed, hoping it would stop his wife from doing something drastic.
Summer exhaled deeply and lowered her weapon, "Goodness... You two are still fighting even though the war ended long ago. Can't you at least behave at your daughter's play date, Li?"
Lillian frowned and crossed her arms. "This is some serious business, Summer. Things you wouldn't under- Ow, ow, ow! It's gonna pierce through! I'm sorry!" she panicked as her wife's kunai knife found itself pressed against her side again.
"Please explain how I don't understand," the redhead snarled.
Grey gave a sly snicker until he felt something very sharp poke his own side. "I wouldn't laugh if I were you, honey," Mary smiled. He nodded quickly.
Summer lowered her weapon and rubbed her temples, "How did I seriously end up with you…"
"Huh!?" Lillian furrowed her brows. "I promise I love you!" she quickly said as she hugged her wife tightly.
Grumbling at the sudden gesture, Summer soon found herself chuckling at the woman's silliness. She smiled as she coiled her arms around the blonde. 'Right… this is why...'
"If you really did love me, though," the redhead continued grinning, pulling away from their hug. Gazing into the Rose clan leader's gray eyes, she puffed her cheeks out and stuck out her bottom lip, "You wouldn't start a commotion at my best friend's home and upset me, right?"
Lillian scowled and turned away to be staring at the concrete below her. She knew this "pouting" trick too well; it was the same trick that led Summer to many victories in past arrangements, arguments, and favors. She pursed her lips for a while and pondered on the question. Letting out a grand sigh, she slumped in her seat. "Finnnneeee, I'll behave just this once…"
Leaning over to her wife, the red haired woman gave the sulking blonde a light kiss on the cheek.
"Grey, is there something you want to say?" Mary included. Sighing, the male puffed his cheeks out.
"I'm sorry…" he muttered.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you," his wife "grinned."
"I said I'm sorry," Grey announced louder, looking irritated. "There, happy?" he pouted as he crossed his arms.
"Very," Mary smiled, hooking her arm around his bigger one.
"Wuss," Lillian smirked.
"WHAT?!" Grey yelled, his voice booming with anger.
"Damn it, Li…" Summer groaned.
As the adults argued with one another on the patio, two tiny individuals were out playing on the large, grassy backyard. Two tiny individuals that possessed either red or white hair.
Enjoying the bright and sunny skies from above, the small redhead flapped her hands in the air and ran around without any direction. As Ruby was loving her "fun in the sun" afternoon, the other girl in their play-date wasn't so sure she was too. Quietly sitting alone as she hugged her legs tightly, the white haired girl dropped her head into her knees. Her eyes brimmed with tears.
"You're boring."
Blue eyes widened at the sound of the girl's voice. She stopped all of her movements as she sat silently on her knees.
"Really boring," the girl repeated, her voice echoing throughout the large, plain room.
Looking up to see her supposed play-mate get up from the ground, she watched as the girl walked out. Slowly raising her shaky hand in the air, Weiss felt her words die in her throat.
'"You're boring,"' she replayed in her mind.
"Wait..." she whispered. Her lips quivered, "Don't... leave..."
Seeing the other girl's silhouette disappear from her view, the white haired girl lowered her hand to the ground. Staring at the white, tile flooring beneath her as her head hung loosely, Weiss trembled. Wetness dripped down her cheeks.
"I promise... I'm not boring..."
"Tag!" a sudden energetic voice laughed, snapping the heiress out of her inner thoughts. "Now you have to catch me!" the tiny redhead yelled as she ran away from the sitting white haired girl.
Watching as Ruby ran with her arms held out, looking almost like an airplane, Weiss kept herself planted on the ground. Furrowing her brows, the heiress looked away in shame.
'"You're boring..."' the seven year old girl remembered. Tears welled up in her vibrating eyes.
'Hm?' Ruby stopped, wondering why her older friend wasn't chasing her around. She looked into the distance to see that the heiress was still sitting. "Hey, Weiss!" the five year old called out as she wildly waved her arm. "You have to run and catch me! Did you forget already!" the tiny redhead giggled. Hearing no response from her play-mate, Ruby rose a brow. Imitating an airplane once more with her arms stretched out, the smaller girl ran over to the quiet Schnee.
Stopping herself right next to Weiss, Ruby saw that the heiress was hiding her face in her knees.
"Weiss?" the redhead curiously began. "Are you okay?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.
"Ruby..." the white haired girl spoke, her face still in her knees. Giving a small sniffle, the heiress lifted her head to expose a bright red nose and puffy, glistening eyes. The tiny redhead's brows knitted together in discouragement as she continued to hear subtle sniffles coming from her friend. That is, until, a sudden light bulb went off in her head.
"Hey, Weiss!" the five year old smiled widely. Hearing the redhead's bubbly voice, the crying girl meekly glanced at her. However, her sniffles came to a halt when her eyes locked onto Ruby's beaming expression. Her sparkling, gray eyes, her radiating smile, her rosy cheeks; everything about the girl standing in front of her was mesmerizing.
"Knock knock!" Ruby grinned. The heiress snapped out of the light trance she was in.
'A knock knock joke...?' she thought as she rubbed her swollen eye, feeling a bit confused.
"W-Who's there...?" she timidly replied.
Ruby muffled a laugh, already chuckling from her own joke. "Pffft... Orange..."
"Orange who...?" Weiss asked.
"Orange you glad I didn't say banana!" Ruby answered, immediately bursting into laughter as she dropped herself onto the green grass.
Looking at the redhead laugh like a maniac while rolling around, a small smile formed on the heiress's lips as she let out a soft giggle.
"Hey!" Ruby grinned as she rolled over to be lying on her stomach. Cheerfully looking at Weiss with her enormous, gray eyes, the redhead smiled even wider. "You're finally smiling!"
Surprised at the girl's comment, the young heiress felt herself blush.
"Hm?" Ruby wondered, staring at the deep flush her friend was wearing. "Are you okay, Weiss?"
"U-U-Um, I-I-" Before she could even finish her sentence, the same taunting words rang throughout her thoughts.
'"You're boring..."'
Her smile disappeared, a frown replacing it.
"Hey, Ruby...?" Weiss began, fear beginning to cloud her heart. She held her legs tightly, feeling scared of what she might hear next. Her eyes began to sting as she opened her mouth again. "Am I boring?"
Ruby cocked her head to the side, placing a finger to her chin, "Why do you think you're boring?" she asked.
Weiss furrowed her brows and hid her face in her knees. "Because... I don't really like playing tag..." she muttered.
The tiny redhead looked at the trembling girl with wonderment in her expression. A smile appeared on her thin lips.
"Well," the five year old began as she got up and stepped closer to the crying heiress. Squatting in front of her as she hugged her own knees, she grinned from ear to ear. "What do you want to do then!"
'Huh...'
Looking up from her knees, Weiss suddenly felt her problems begin to melt away.
Again. Just from gazing at the shining curve on the redhead's face, her heart began to thump a bit faster.
"Weiss?" Ruby questioned as she saw the frozen, admiring stare the white haired girl was giving.
Coming to her senses, the girl blushed intensely and looked away. "W-Well, I um... I have a telescope..." she shyly stuttered.
"A tele-what?" Ruby repeated, trying to understand what the heiress said. Weiss chuckled.
"A telescope. A device you use to look at things super closely like the stars and planets," the heiress explained, giggling as she did.
"Oh..." Ruby realized. "Well... Let's go check them out then!" she excitingly grinned as she jumped into the air.
"W-Wait," Weiss nervously said, stopping the redhead from marching off. "You... don't think that's... boring?"
"Heck no!" Ruby quickly replied, surprising the heiress as a result. "Stars are already really cool!" she smiled. Weiss's cheeks grew warm. "And if we got to see them even closer, then that would be super duper cooler!"
Hearing the girl's honest response as her widened gaze set itself on her grin, the heiress slowly felt her lips beginning to form one as well.
"So let's go see them!" Ruby pushed on, looking very animated.
"Mm," the heiress happily responded. Wiping her eye with the back of her hand as a grin stood present on her lips, Weiss got up and dusted her blue sundress off. Looking over to her much smaller friend, her smile grew wider at the sight of the five year old's offering hand.
Gently grabbing the redhead's fingers, the two merrily conversed with one another as they walked off to find Weiss's telescope.

"That's... the moon... silly..." murmured a certain girl from within bed covers. Closing her eyes tighter, the half-asleep individual turned her body to lie on her left side. Face softening as she slowly reverted back to being unconscious, the girl groaned in annoyance when she felt something slimy slide up her cheek.
"No…. -by…" the drowsy girl mumbled, moving the covers lower to reveal white, long locks. Scrunching her nose at the feel of warm slime on her cheek once more, the girl opened her eyes to display a pair of angry, light blue orbs. However, her sudden rush of irritation left when she found herself furrowing her brows at a large, slobbering Golden Retriever in front of her. She narrowed her bewildered stare.
'A…. dog…?'
Shifting her gaze past the sitting canine, the heiress slowly widened her eyes. Looking at the structure of the room, she realized something different. Extremely different.
This wasn't her room. These weren't her walls and portraits. And this most definitely wasn't her bed.
In a swift motion, the heiress lifted the covers from her body and hopped off of the queen mattress. Keeping her stare on the messy bed in front of her as she tried to comprehend why she was sleeping in the strange room, the girl knitted her brows together at the sudden temperature change. Sensing a cool breeze travel around her torso, Weiss brought her arms together and hugged herself tightly. Despite gaining warmth in the abnormally cold room, however, the girl narrowed her gaze when she felt her two mounds pressed against her arms. Two "fleshy" mounds to be exact.
'Wait a minute...' she suspiciously thought, eyes widening as a deep blush appeared on her cheeks. Breathing heavily, the white haired girl stood very still as her thoughts scrambled from corner to corner. Building up all of the courage she could muster, the heiress exhaled and relaxed her shoulders. Slowly looking down to come face to face with her chest region, Weiss felt as if her eyes were about to pop out of her head. Lips trembling as the color red painted her entire countenance, the girl was quick to cover her bare, upper body.
"Why the hell am I shirtless?!" she shrieked at the top of her lungs. Looking around the room hastily to find any clothes that belonged to her, the girl searched up and down to find nothing on the floor. Setting her flustered and embarrassed gaze on the bed, the heiress quickly flipped every pillow and blanket until she came across a silky, white dress hiding inside one of the covers. Smiling as relief washed over her entire being, Weiss pulled the dress out to inspect it for any damages. But, as soon as the strapless garb was fully free from the thick blankets, another piece of clothing fell onto the bed.
Inspecting the mysterious cloth carefully, the white haired girl cocked a brow and cautiously reached for it. Unraveling it as she picked it up into the air, the heiress stood eerily still as her blank stare remained on a pair of familiar white, laced panties hanging in front of her. These were, without a doubt, her's. And she was, without a doubt, butt-naked at the moment.
Darting out of the room and down a set of long stairs with her white dress on sloppily and her white locks disheveled, the girl was quick to turn on her smartphone. Thankfully, she was able to find her device sitting on top of one of the dressers.
'Where the hell am I!?' she angrily thought as she searched through all of her notifications. 'And where the hell is-' She stopped in the middle of the staircase as a "picture perfect" image of a certain smiling redhead intervened her sudden train of thought. Blushing furiously as a deep frown sat on her lips, she shook her head. "Why the hell am I thinking of that dunce!?"
"Mmmmmm…" a heavy groan rumbled downstairs. Looking wary as the heiress continued to step down, she searched the empty area around her. She did, however, grimace at all of the empty, crushed up red cups on the floor. And wait, was that throw up...? "Why is everyone so freaking loud…."
'Is that….' Weiss furrowed her brows. 'Nora…?' she wondered. Taking a step closer to the navy blue couch sitting in front of her, the heiress eventually found the source of the groan lying somewhat miserably on the sofa.
"Nora…?" the white haired girl discovered, staring at the whimpering girl. "What's going-" Her eyes widened to their fullest as she locked her stare on a familiar silver shaker sitting on top of the bar. Holding her mouth in a death grip as the sour and bitter taste of last night came back, the heiress finally realized why she woke up in the messy, large house. "The party!" she shouted, slowly regaining her memories. Nora slammed a pillow on her face.
"WHY ARE YOU SO LOUD!?" she yelled, immediately regretting it afterwards when she felt her headache intensify. Looking skeptically at the moaning, orange haired girl, Weiss winced at the newfound pain throbbing in her head.
"Nora, what... happened last night..." the heiress slowly asked, gently rubbing her forehead in circles.
"Hm…?" the party host mumbled from behind the pillow. "Last night?" she snickered, pushing the cushion off of her face. "Last night was wild," she lazily smirked.
"Wild?" Weiss asked. Trying to recollect all of yesterday's events, she felt the throbbing sensation worsen. "God… everything's a daze…"
Nora chuckled, dropping the pillow to the ground. "Don't worry… you'll remember soon enough..."
Closing her eyes tightly despite it hurting, the Schnee assassin gave her reminiscent skills one more shot. Breathing heavily, the girl furrowed her brows as images of bright, strobe lights, party string, various kinds of alcoholic bottles, Ruby, snacks, large stereo speak- She opened her eyes quickly, blushing at her reoccurring memories.
'Did I just think of!?' she shook her head softly. 'Wait, Weiss, Wait…. Let's not conclude anything yet...' She inhaled deeply. 'Alright, let's slowly figure out what happened yesterday... First things first, there was a giant party. Then, I spoke with Blake (not to mention, that idiot Winchester). After that, I believe she gave me that horrendous drink,' she scoffed. 'But...' she narrowed her gaze. 'I don't think I remember anything after that... All I'm getting is... crazy lights and that dreaded dance floor... But even then, the only thing left is-' Another picture of Ruby popped inside of her mind. Flush covering her face from ear to ear, the heiress shook her head once more. 'Why in the hell am I still thinking about her!? She has nothing to do with this!' she scowled deeply. 'Even in the most bizarre moments of my life, that idiot is still-' She stopped, eyes widening. 'Wait, she's still intervening... as in...'
"Nora…" Weiss quietly began, earning a grunt from the orange haired girl. Her heart felt as if it was beating a hundred miles per hour. "Who was I next to last night…"
'Please, please, please, please tell me you saw me next to someone responsible...'
Nora laughed, "Don't ask me, I don't think anyone remembers last night."
Hearing the host's honest response, Weiss turned around and went back to her "strategic" thinking.
'Okay Weiss, calm down. This is good, very good. No one, including you or "Bigmouth" Valkyrie, knows anything. But before anyone does come up with an answer to your problem, you need to think quickly! You are a noble heiress from a noble clan, you can remember!' Taking a deep breath before exhaling it, she held her forehead. 'I came to a party, I spoke with Blake, I drank something that could be considered illegal and lethal, and then I danced. In the end, I ended up nude inside a room I don't even remember entering...' she sighed, trailing her hand down to rub her neck. Shuddering as she let out a small, random moan, the heiress quickly covered her mouth and blushed heavily. 'WHY THE HELL DID I JUST DO THAT!?'
"Uh, Weiss...?" Nora called out, furrowing her brows. "Did you just..."
"NO!" the heiress snapped instantaneously, making the orange haired girl jump.
Keeping her back turned to the startled party host as she gripped her arms tightly, Weiss tried to control the wild blush from spreading throughout her body.
'Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm, Weiss!' the heiress repeated to herself, hoping to avoid a nervous break-down. 'But!' Hyperventilating, the girl shuffled to unlock her cellphone in order to activate the camera feature. Scrambling to steady the device in front of her to capture her identity and neck, Weiss furrowed her brows as she waited for the picture to completely focus. As the image grew clearer with every second that passed, the heiress felt her heart sink when her phone captured a big, purple bruise casually sitting on the side of her neck. 'Why... do I...' Gently touching the mark that stood out on her pale skin, she felt herself twitch. She pressed her hand over her mouth again.
If the heiress knew any better, she was sure that this particular bruise was a known as a "hickey." She had seen these stains before (especially among her other female peers at school), and if she remembered properly, these marks are created when another individual bites or suc... 'Wait, "hickeys" are made when biting or sucking takes place on the skin... Meaning...' Looking as if she had just witnessed a massive grimm attack on her own home, the girl dropped her arms and slowly turned around to face the couch. There was no doubt that the host saw it as well...
"Hey, Weiss...?" Nora called out with her arm draped over her face. "Are you ok-" Having her words cut off at the sudden pull on her clothes, the orange haired girl flailed around as the heiress held her in the air.
'How is she even this strong!? SHE HAS TWIG ARMS!' the orange haired girl thought, kicking at nothing while in mid-air.
"Look, I know that people talk around the school and stuff, but I swear I've never roofied anyone's drink! That's for criminals and I'm just a precious cinnamon roll!" Nora shouted as she continued to try and shuffle out of the heiress's grasp. Looking down to plead with the silent white haired girl once more, the host felt herself shiver at the threatening and menacing, cold stare Weiss was giving. Panicking even more as tears welled up in the corners of her eyes, the girl yelped with fear as "smoke" began to come out of the heiress's mouth.
"If you ever..." Weiss slowly snarled, catching the full attention of the terrified host. Her intimidating, blue eyes bore into petrified, teary green eyes. "Tell anyone... that I, Weiss Schnee... woke up in a state like this," she snapped, pointing to the purple mark on her neck. Her grip tightened as she brought the orange haired girl closer to her face. "Not only will I send the most experienced Schnee clan members after you for a nice game of "torture," but I will gladly take the opportunity to join them. Got that?" she finished, showing the sobbing girl a "kind" smile.
Using a shaky hand to display a peace sign, Nora sniffed heavily, wanting to avoid her snot from dripping out. She nervously grinned, "I-I-I swear I'm just a s-simple host... P-P-Please don't kill me-"
Quickly raising her phone to her neck to reveal a hidden kunai knife attached to the back of the case, the heiress glared daggers at the raven haired male standing across the room. A sharp, black, throwing star fell onto the ground.
"Let go of the girl and I won't have to do that again," the male threatened as he changed his stance to look as if he was ready for an upcoming brawl.
"R-Rennnnn…" Nora grossly sobbed, fluids flying everywhere. Weiss grimaced at the sight. Turning her gaze back to the orange haired girl's boyfriend to stare into his piercing, pale pink eyes, the heiress sighed deeply and released the crying host back onto the couch.
Approaching the weeping green-eyed girl, Ren crouched and gently rubbed her arms to comfort her. Lifting his head to look at the still heiress, he narrowed his stare and frowned, "Weapons weren't allowed at the party."
Weiss sneered, "I can say the same to you."
"Youuuuu guyyyyyssss," Nora whined as she continued to sob. "This is supposed to be a happy moment! After the party and stuff!"
Hearing his girlfriend's plea, Ren dropped his cold glare and sighed.
"She's right," the raven haired boy said. "We shouldn't start a war over something ridiculous," he said as his eyes landed on the purple mark sitting on Weiss's neck. The white haired girl blushed and quickly covered it with her hand. "Besides," he glowered. "If I'm correct, you're already involved in one with the Rose clan."
Hearing the redhead's family in Ren's sentence, the Schnee member felt herself blush even deeper. 'Why am I blushing so much?!' she inwardly screamed as she held her neck tighter.
"Yay! We're armadillos now!" Nora ecstatically smiled, hooking her arms around Weiss and Ren.
"What?" Weiss irritably asked as she removed the host's arm from around her waist.
"You know, the Spanish way of saying "friends,"" Nora grinned as she snuggled into the raven haired boy's shoulder.
Ren sighed. "She meant "amigos,"" he corrected.
"Yeah…" the heiress warily said. "I'm just going to go now."
"Sure," Ren simply replied. "But before you go, would you like some ginger tea?" he asked, raising a small tea pot from the ground besides him, "It helps with hangovers."
Weiss stared at the object with complete confusion. 'Where did that even...' She shook her head. 'Right, a ninja-assassin belonging to a clan that specializes in everything that has to do with tea...' she huffed.
"No, thanks," the heiress declined, making the raven haired boy shrug his shoulders.
"Reennnnn..." Nora whined as she rubbed her head against her boyfriend's upper arm. "My head still hurtses…"
Ren smiled softly at her childish antics, "Go lie down on the comfortable bed upstairs. I'll be right behind you after I clean the place up a bit."
"Heh..." Nora laughed, unlatching herself from Ren's arm. "More like… "Lie" with "Ren,"" she mischievously smirked, looking a bit tipsy.
"Gross…" Weiss grimaced as she watched the couple walk toward the staircase.
Guiding the dazed girl up the steps, Ren gave one last playful glance to the heiress.
"I wouldn't necessarily worry about this," he smiled. "If I were you, I'd be more concerned about trying to hide that big, nasty "bruise,"" he smirked.
Feeling her entire body heat up from head to toe, Weiss bared her teeth as she kept her penetrating stare on the Ren clan heir.
As the couple eventually left her sights, the angry, blushing heiress turned around and quickly exited the underground house. Heading over to the elevator on the other side of the half-lit cave, the white haired girl felt repulsed as she walked across the vast amounts of trash lying on the moist, green grass.
'I will never understand why Nora loves to throw parties despite knowing the aftermath,' Weiss scoffed. 'But...' she narrowed her gaze, remembering her unfinished business with a certain raven haired girl. 'Enough about that.'
Unlocking her phone, the girl proceeded to click on an app. "Damn Blake… leaving me unattended…. not to mention, at someone else's lair…" Weiss mumbled angrily as she looked through her contacts. Pressing the "dial" button, the white haired girl placed the phone next to her ear and continued to make her way to the two, steel doors.
"Hello?" a feminine voice nonchalantly greeted.
"Hello, my ass," Weiss retorted. "Where the hell are you?"
"Back at the clan territory, why?" Blake questioned.
"What do you mean "Why?!"" Weiss yelled, standing in front of the elevator.
"Because your mother called me…?" Blake replied, feeling confused.
"For what?! Even so, you just left me behind?!" the heiress shouted as she pressed the top button to go up. The doors opened immediately.
"Some grimm were spotted near the base.-"
'A grimm attack…?' the white haired girl thought as she entered the elevator.
"-What's the problem?" Blake asked. "Your mother told me to leave you behind if you didn't want to go. Besides..." she drew out, her tone turning playful. Weiss rolled her eyes, clicking the first floor button. "You were a little too busy last night."
The heiress felt her heart thump faster. Her cheeks grew warm again, "What do you mean..."
"Yeah, I asked if you wanted to come along but your mouth was pretty preoccupied trying to capture a certain redhead's tongue," she chuckled.
Weiss froze in the middle of the elevator, her stare glued to the steel doors. 'Oh... My...'
"Weiss?" Blake called out.
'So... the reason why I kept thinking about her... was because….'
The elevator doors flew open to reveal a familiar boy standing outside with his hands tucked inside the front pocket of his gray hoodie.
"Ah, Miss Schnee," Sky smirked, eyeing her messy apparel. "Seems like you had a fun time last night," he winked.
"YOU MEAN I ACTUALLY KISSED THAT FREAK!?" Weiss shouted at the top of her lungs, alarming both the brown-eyed boy and cat faunus.
"U-Um, Miss Schnee…? Is everything okay…?" Sky asked as he slowly approached the heaving heiress.
Shooting him a quick, venomous glare as she cupped her neck to hide the mark, she shoved the boy back and rapidly walked down the dark path that stood next to the abandoned train tracks. She rose the phone back to her ear.
"Get me a limo and get me the hell out of here," she growled as she bared her teeth.
Pressing the "end" button fiercely to the point where she cracked the screen in half, she rolled her eyes at the smoke emanating from her phone and flung it to the ground. Walking quicker down the chilly tunnel, the heiress felt her blood boil with every second that passed. She was angry, furious, enraged at her current situation: waking up in an unknown room like a neanderthal, having people know about that (her hickey), not to mention, Blake leaving her behind!
But.
Even with all of that pent up rage clawing at itself, the girl couldn't control the fast beatings of her heart. Pressing a clenched fist to her chest, a subtle blush lingered on her cheeks.

Back at the Rose clan in Yang's room...
"Come on, Ruby! Stop being so down in the dumps!" Yang persuaded, trying to cheer up a certain redhead.
"How can I NOT be sad..." Ruby sighed, sitting on the floor. "I slept with someone I don't even know and now... everybody knows..."
"Hell yeah everybody knows," Yang chuckled as she scrolled down the AssassinBook app. "Everyone's still talking about it... Whoa! This one even has ten thousand likes!"
Ruby groaned loudly, "Not helping, Yang..."
"Holy crap, Rubes!" Yang yelled as she pressed the phone closer to her own face, making sure she was reading the sentence right.
"What..." the redhead groaned again. Eyes widened, the blonde quickly sat next to her younger sister's side and passed the cellular device.
"Check this status out!"
Furrowing her brows, the redhead lazily grabbed the smartphone and read the following:
"Yeah, Ruby and I definitely danced together last night. Guess you can say things escalated pretty quickly after that. ;)"
The redhead glanced at the name belonging to the individual's post.
"Ruby... Do you know what this means?" Yang prompted, turning her head to look at the confused prodigy.
"Marina...?" Ruby asked, narrowing her gaze. "Who is she? And... we danced?"
"Well, there's a reason why Nora calls her special drink "Super Shit-faced,"" Yang smirked.
"Remind me never to go out with you ever again," Ruby frowned. "But," she shook her head, "who's this Marina person?"
"Hm?" Yang cocked her brow, "She's that brunette from our Strategic Assassination class. You know, the chick who slid her finger up your back and flirted with you?"
"Oh..." Ruby blushed. "But... I don't remember being with her at all..."
"Ruby," Yang smiled, coiling her arm around her sister's neck. "I don't think anybody remembers last night. Well, other than the fact that you slept with someone."
Ruby jerked her head up and whimpered to the ceiling.
"Oh!" Yang remembered. "But you do know what this means, right?"
Bewildered, the redhead brought her head down and looked at her older sister.
"Rubes..." Yang slowly drew out, gazing into Ruby's perplexed stare. "We found the girl you slept with."
The sixteen year old's eyes widened. Sensing a sudden, sharp pain surge through her head, she winced and grabbed it with one hand. "But I seriously don't remember ever being with her…."
A quick, blurry image of flashing lights flickered in her mind.
"Rubes?" Yang gently called out as she waved a hand in front of the quiet redhead. "You good?"
"Yeah…. just…" she rubbed her temples. "Saw something from... maybe last night…?"
"Oh well, what'd you see?" Yang asked.
"I'm not sure, but…. I think it was when I was on the dance floor..."
"When you were dancing with Marina?"
"No…." Ruby shook her head, her eyes shut. "I don't think-" Before the girl could finish her sentence, she flinched once more at the pounding sensation throbbing in her head.
"Welllll," Yang began, looking away. "If you want... We can always go see Gram Grams to see if she can whip up a potion."
"I don't know…" Ruby warily responded as she rubbed the side of her head. "I always feel like she's gonna break every time I talk to her."
"Don't worry!" Yang grinned widely, patting the redhead's back. Seeing Ruby grab her mouth as her face turned green, the blonde stopped, "Oops, sorry..." she weakly smiled as her younger sister glared at her. "Anyways, there's nothing to worry about. That woman has like... at least twenty more years left."
"Yang!" Ruby scowled as she punched the blonde's arm. "Don't say that!"
"Sorry," the blonde chuckled, rubbing her arm. "But I'm serious, sis. She doesn't mind the extra company at all. In fact," she smiled, "she loves it. So, not only do we get to make an old lady's day, but, we can also ask her to make some sort of remedy to get those memories back."
Getting up from the floor, Yang stretched her arms and strolled over to the door. Sliding it open, she looked back at the still redhead and rose a brow. "You coming?" she asked.
Biting her bottom lip as she shut her eyes again, Ruby tried remembering the events of last night. However, the only thing that really came to mind was the fuzzy image of flashing lights. She clenched her jaw.
"Fine," the girl muttered, walking past the blonde.
Staring at the fifteen year old's back, Yang furrowed her brows. "Rubes…?"

Stepping out of the underground subway station with her hand still covering her "hickey," Weiss quickly made her way to the black, stretch limo parked on the street curb near her. Approaching the vehicle, the steaming heiress was met with an old man standing next to the limo.
"Charles," Weiss greeted, sounding a bit resentful.
"Miss," he simply replied, opening the door for the white haired girl.
Nodding at her chauffeur, Weiss ducked her head and entered the vehicle hastily. However, as soon as she sat down, her brows furrowed when a white, steaming cup appeared in front of her face.
"One medium-sized, half-sweet, non-fat, extra shot, caramel macchiato. Just the way the snow princess likes it," Blake grinned.
Huffing with exhaustion as she shuffled in her seat, the heiress quickly snatched the beverage and gently pressed the rim to her lips. Taking a sip of the warm drink, she looked out the window and narrowed her gaze. "I'm surprised you even showed up, seeing how you clearly failed to do that this morning."
"Yeah, well," Blake chuckled. "I did consider the idea of escorting you out of the Valkyrie's "lair," but," her gaze grew mischievous as she eyed the white haired girl's get-up, "I didn't want to impose on your beauty sleep," she smirked. The heiress blushed heavily as a deep scowl appeared on her lips. She turned her head to viciously glare at the faunus. "It's a joke, Weiss. Relax," the raven haired girl giggled.
"Yeah, a joke to you…" Weiss mumbled, using her free hand to fix the edges of her dress. Opening a small glove compartment attached to the car door, the heiress reached in to grab a hair accessory. Pulling out a tiny hairpin that resembled a tiara, the girl handed her warm drink to the cat faunus and tied her hair to be in its usual side ponytail.
Blake gave a sly grin, "And the award for the most "Classiest Person on the Planet Despite Having to do the Walk-of-Shame" goes to..." She gave the drink back to the fuming heiress, "Not Weiss Schnee."
Gripping the white cup as anger ran through her veins, Weiss sighed and closed her eyes. "Again. I wouldn't have to be in this position if a certain faunus hadn't left me behind!" the heiress exclaimed, slumping slightly in her seat.
The raven haired girl chuckled and crossed her legs as she stared out the window. "I still can't believe you don't remember last night."
"How am I supposed to when you gave me such a putrid drink!" Weiss blushed, frowning at the smiling faunus. Her expression softened when she sank back into her seat, "But…" she furrowed her brows as she lazily draped an arm over her stomach. "I think I remember parts of it…"
Blake smirked, giving the thinking heiress a sidelong glance, "Like when you and the Rose clan's prodigy decided to swap spit." Her sly grin widened when she saw that Weiss's whole body turned the color pink.
Narrowing her stare as she tried to put on an intimidating frown, she looked at the faunus to see that she was chuckling. "Nothing happened!" she quickly replied, red still present on her cheeks.
"Oh, you sure about that?" Blake teased. Taking out her phone, she clicked around for a few seconds until the raven haired girl landed on a still image. Smirking once more, she flipped her phone to show the heiress a picture. A picture that Weiss would have never expected to see in a million years. Scratch that, a billion years. "So, you're telling me that this isn't you and Ruby tongue wrestling right in the middle of the dance floor?"
Grabbing the phone quickly as she shoved the lukewarm coffee cup into Blake's hands, the white haired girl zoomed into the blurry photograph and examined it. As the picture grew clearer with every second that passed, Weiss felt her cheeks and ears burn with realization. Slowly raising her hand, she lightly pressed her fingers to her bottom lip, 'So…. we really did…' she gulped.
Brows knitting together, the heiress narrowed her eyes at her friend, "Wait, why did you take a photo!?"
"To prove my point later on," Blake smiled as she grabbed her phone from the white haired girl's grip. Clicking the trashcan icon to the corner of the image, the faunus showed the irritated Schnee heiress a blank, white screen. "And deleted," she said, smiling as Weiss gave a heavy sigh. Feeling a sudden vibration in her palm, Blake pulled her phone back to check what it was.
'AssassinBook? What's that about...' Opening up the app, Blake's eyes widened when her amber gaze landed on the first article that popped up.
"I swear," Weiss huffed as she took another sip of her beverage, "what am I going to do with you…"
"Weiss…" Blake quietly began as she continued to scroll down the app. "I don't think you're going to like this…"
"What are you..." Words having died in her throat, the heiress felt her jaw drop when her wide, blue eyes began reading the article titles on the raven haired girl's smartphone.

"It… went…. viral….?" Weiss slowly whispered, looking as if the world had just ended right before her eyes. In her case, it might as well.
"Weiss, relax, I know this seems a little bad, but the good news is that so far no one knows-"
However, before Blake could even finish her sentence, a giant yell echoed throughout the City of Vale.
