Chapter 3: Learning is a Pain in the Ass

Chris POV

I sat with dad in the sun room, while the sister's and Bella were in the kitchen. They were teaching her how to make basic vanquishing potions. Dad kept looking at me weird. "What?"

He shook his head and looked back down at the map as a Skryied. (AN: If spelled incorrectly, please ignore) "Nothing. Are you okay with the delay in going back to the future?" I shrugged, but nodded. "Yeah. I wanted to go home, no offense to charges, but what's so important with her that I had to stay?"

Dad shrugged and looked at me once again with that weird look. "What?" "After everything that has happened with your mother and me and the lives of the Charmed ones, you and I both know things happen for a reason."

I looked at him incredulously. "What's the goddamn reason?!"

"Hey! Language!" Mom pointed a finger at me and I rolled my eyes. "I'm 23 for crying out loud!" She pointed towards upstairs. "Well right now you're barely a week old." Bella giggled and I winked. Winked? Who the hell winks?

"Found it." Dad's voice brought us to the trouble at hand. "He's close by." I get the address and stand, walking towards the girls. "Chris, why don't you take Bella? You can handle yourself and this is a lower level demon. If things get tough, you know how to get home." I looked at Peobe suspiciously. I turned towards Bella and gave her a small smile. She gave me a shy one in return. Taking her hand, I orbed us in the right location.

We were hidden behind a dumpster with little coverage. "When in sight, throw the potion. Just be quick, he moves fast." She nodded and we stepped out to see the Galore demon feasting on his meal. A young man no older than me. "Hey ugly!" Bella threw the potion and he burst in flames. She ran forward to check on the man, but I knew he was already dead. I bent down picking up a piece of flesh, studying it for a moment.

I felt a woosh of air and looked up to see Bella flying through the air and into the wall. I orbed to dodge the hit from another demon, but was hit with the body of Bella. "Ooh god this hurts worse than being bitten." The demon charges against us once again but was stopped by what looked like an invisible force field. I looked and saw Bella concentrating hard. Grabbing another potion, I threw it at the demon who blew up into flames, leaving a small pile of ash.

She leaned against the dumpster and sighed. Her brown eyes looked at me and I gave a small nod. "This sucks." I laughed and laid a hand on her shoulder, orbing us back to the manor.

"How'd it go?" Mom asked holding baby me. I looked to Bella and laughed at her expression. "Great, Bella got her ass handed to her." She grumbled and winced touching her shoulder. "Are you hurt? You should've told me." I took a look at it and although it would heal up, she'd work better without it hurting. "I got it." Dad walked over and healed her shoulder. She flexed it a little and smiled. "Awesome. Can I do that?" Mom nodded. "Yes, but it will take a while. It took Paige a while." (AN: If my timeline is correct I'm sure Paige hasn't met Henry yet, but it's been a while. Let's just say she has and Phoebe has already met Coop.)

"What triggers it?" She looked at him curiously. Her hair was long and for some reason I wanted to run my fingers through it. "Love. You have to tap into your most deepest of emotions."

She had a faraway look that we all seemed to notice."Oh." I grabbed her hand, which I seemed to be doing a lot of lately, and pulled her towards the stairs. "C'mon. Let me show you the book."

~Page Break~

Piper POV

I watched the two go upstairs and smiled a little. I was happy in a way though that I get to spend more time with my son and if the Elder was right, he'd be with us for about 20 years. He won't age and neither would Bella. I was worried though, a mother thing I guess. Bella has come from a past where love doesn't last and I wouldn't want to see either of them hurt. Vampires. Why would she get caught runnning with the tricky bastards? Would this Edward ever find her? What if he did? Would she go back? Would the Elders even let their relationship happen?

Two hands massage my tense shoulders and I look up smiling. "I know what you're thinking. They'll make it. We did." I sighed looking at Chris. My beautiful boy.

"I hope you're right. That girl deserves some type of happiness and if the Elder wants to keep my son away from his future, then she better be worth it."
