Hey guys let's ignore the fact that I suck at updating and enjoy this extra long chapter. Sorry I suck at this whole "Publishing thing". I have no excuse for it, I'm just really lazy. I'll get better I promise

Anyways

I don't own rise of the guardians in any way.

Bloom had only seen the northern lights one other time in her life in the HImalayas, and she knew what they meant. The children of the world were in danger. All production halted, but before she left she made sure any natural disasters that were occurring immediately stopped. Natural disasters were the biggest downside to her career. However, without them, the world would be thrown out of balance. To have the good, the bad must occur. Yin Yang and all that.

With a graceful wave of her hand, winds rapidly revolved around her, allowing her to travel at speeds as high as 100 miles per hour. With a large push, she moved toward the northern light, approaching them at rapid speed. Down below on the ground, the earth lifted and followed the path she was on. It was Bunnymund. and beside her she saw a large, bird-like figure with very petite hands. On any other occasion, she would've given Tooth a hug, but the only thing they exchanged was solemn stares and nods of respect to each other.

Once they reached North's home, the winds around Bloom slowed until she was gently placed on the ground. Out of instinct, the vines that were permanently attached to her body crawled up from her legs and around her body and arms, concealing the heat against her body to stay warm in the frigid wind she had caused. Tooth landed beside her, and hugged in reunion. It had been at least 500 years since they last consulted. With climate change, Bloom's life has been a living hell.

"It's good to see you, dear," Bloom said, her voice as sweet as honey. She pulled away and smiled at her old friend.

"You too, sweetie." She peels her hands away and pulls on Bloom's lips, catching her off guard. Tooth analyzed the girl's teeth intensely. "You've been drinking far too much tea, but other than that, they're perfect."

As soon as her observation was complete, a hole opened up next to them, and up popped a large rabbit. He stood proudly for a moment, before crippling into a ball to contain some heat. "OH, it's freezing!" He complained, and as he hopped over to the girl's he repeated over and over again "I can't feel my feet!".

They walked into the building. While the elves and large yeti's scrambled to complete toys, the guardians made their way to the center where their oldest colleague was. "This better be good, North." Bunny grumbled out, rubbing his arms to stay warm. Sandman hovered down and greeted North with a silent wave of his hand.

"Sandy, thank you for coming." North, replied. Sandman lifted his shoulders in confusion. "I know, I know. But I obviously, wouldn't have called you all here unless it was serious." His voice was hushed. Tooth was fluttering around giving orders to her small helpers in the mean time. She hushed the chattering pixies and watched the fat man. "The boogeyman was here." He exclaimed. "At the pole." Worrisome looks casted over each of their faces. They had only encountered him once, long ago.

"Pitch? Pitch Black? Here?" Tooth questioned, unsure of whether or not to believe it.

"Yes, there was black sand, covering the Globe!" Santa replied, mystified.

"W-what do ya mean, black sand?" Bunnymund stuttered in confusion, his hands occupied with painting an egg.

"And then there was a shadow!" North continued, not really paying attention to Bunnymund.

"Hold on," Bloom intercepted, "I thought you said you saw pitch." She crossed her arms, trying to put the pieces together.

"Well, uh.. Not exactly." North replied, scratching the back of his head.

"No exactly? Can you believe this guy, Sandy?" Bunny scoffed. Sandy shrugged and fabricated a question mark above his head. "Yeah, you said it."

"Look.." North said, all light humor fading away. "He's up to something bad...I feel it." He lowers and grips her large stomach. "In my belly." Bunny's eyes grew in disbelief.

"Hang on, hang on. You mean to tell me you summoned me here -three days before Easter- because of your belly?" Anger grew in his eyes. "If I did this to you three days before Christmas-"

"Aye, Bunny," North interrupted, "But Easter is not Christmas." He takes the painted egg from the large bunny and tossed it up and down. Bunny let out a fake laugh, before glaring at North.

"Here we go.." He said in annoyance, before hopping over to him. "Look, I don't have time for this, I still have 2. Million. Eggs to finish up!" As North and Bunnymund argued about the eggs, Bloom noticed the room getting brighter. She looked up at the ceiling in confusion, before they grew wide.

"Um..guys?" Her voice got overthrown by the arguing of the two guardians and the rambling of tooth giving orders. 'Hey this is more important… Hello?" Annoyance peaked and she sighed, looking at Sandy who walked over to one of the elves, lifted it by its hat, and shook it vigorously. All eyes casted over to the silent man who pointed to Bloom. "We have a guest." She said, pointing up. North's eyes looked up and he lit up.

"Ah! Man in Moon!" He chuckled looking toward Bloom. "Bloom, why didn't you say something?" She huffed and glided over to Tooth. "It's been a long time old friend!" North shouted to the moon. "What is big news?" The light grew more intense, illuminating a symbol on the ground. A shadow of a dark man appeared, and caution rose in Bloom.

"It is Pitch." Bunny said grimly. North looks at him and taps his belly, as if to say "I told you so."

"Manny, what must we do?" He asked to the stars, watching the moon's light for an answer. The light narrowed on a specific spot on the ground. The center peeled away and up rose a large crystalline pedestal.

"Uh guys? You know what this means?" Tooth asks, watching the group around her.

"He's choosing a new guardian..." Bloom replied, mystified. She slowly swiped her hand, wind forming around her as she lifted to be level with the stone.

"What? Why?" He watched the girl in confusion and aggravation.

"Must be big deal, Manny must think we need help." North said, looking up at the luminescent being.

"Since when have we needed help?" Bunny said with a scoff, looking to be backed up but received nothing.

"I wonder who it's going to be!" Tooth said in excitement, her wings fluttering in joy. Sandy thought for a moment, before a four leaf clover appeared above his head. "You think it's the leprechaun?"

"Please not the groundhog, please not the groundhog." Bunny begged. Bloom didn't care who, as long as it wasn't that arrogant brat who messed with her weather. They watched as the stone glowed brighter, and in it appeared the shadow of a boy with a hood and a large staff. Mother Earth's shoulder's dropped intensely, and her kind demeanor grew to annoyance. North's eyes grew in surprise.

"Jack Frost," he said, almost confused. Tooth's helper's swooned and fell to the floor, as well as Tooth.

"Uh I take it back, the groundhog's fine." Bunny said. Bloom dropped harshly, yet still landing on her toes as she walked away, rubbing her temples.

"Well as long as he works to, to help the children." Tooth stuttered out, smiling innocently. "Right?"

"Jack Frost?!" Bunny said, scoffing. "He doesn't care about children! All he does is go around freezing places and messing up my egg hunts."

"Not to mention my weather patterns," Bloom interveined, returning to the group. "It's difficult keeping up with climate change as is." Bunnymund gestured to her in agreement.

"See? I'm not the only one!" he replied childishly. "He's an irresponsible, childish-"

"Guardian." North nodded, liking the thought of him joining the group.

"Jack Frost is many things, but he is not a guardian," Bunny complained, before hopping away, Bloom sighed and moved outside to get fresh air, unnatural anger rising up in her body. She normally hovered above the snow, but she was too aggravated. If she tried, she'd probably accidentally make a blizzard.

Soon she would have to encounter the child, maybe she would finally give him a piece of her mind.

Thanks for baring with my laziness, hope you enjoyed. I basically watched this whole scene side by side while I wrote this to make sure it was accurate, along with adding small parts for Bloom that I'd think fit.

Anyways hope you enjoyed, please leave me a review!
