When I imagined my first day at Sweet Amoris high, I didn't expect it to turn out like this. I was lying on a hospital bed waiting for the doctor to come back with my x-ray while Carol was holding my hand and bawling like a big baby. Lysander and Castiel were nowhere in sight...

*Earlier that day*

Looking into my mirror, I decided that I should wear my black leggings, my white sequin top, and my favorite pair of black stilettos. It doesn't look like I'm trying too much... does it? Shrugging the thought off, I straightened my hair that is almost going to pass my waist. I need to cut my hair soon because I am not a fan of long hair, but maybe I'll also dye it a different color. I always wanted to get highlights, yet there is always something that prevents me...

As I he headed down the stairs, the smell of eggs, bacon, and toast had me dashing towards the kitchen. Carol was singing a song from her favorite movie Another Cinderella Story as I walked into the kitchen. Sometimes I wonder who the real child is... "Smells great in here Carol."

Carol stopped singing to look up at me, "I didn't know if you were going to want pancakes or eggs with bacon, so I just decided to make eggs..." her eyes widened as said those words, "UNLESS YOU WANT PANCAKES... I can make them right now if you want!" She started to rummage through the pantry until I raised my hand just as she was pulling out the pancake mix.

"No need. I actually enjoy eggs with bacon a lot." I started heading to the table, but paused midway when I remembered what Carol had said last night. Instead of going towards the table and sitting down, I walked to the front door and opened it before a very grumpy jerk face. "Hey Mr. Grumpy Jerk Face! Hope you slept well." By the look of things, he had not.

"Shut the #$%#..." he started to mumble something as he pushed past me, and went to go take his place at the table. I giggled and followed suit.

After eating Carol's breakfast, I headed out with a no longer Mr. Grumpy Jerk Face. Well... he still is a jerk faced person.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" Castiel questioned after turning a corner. He looked somewhat nervous. I grinned and laughed.

"If you are going to ask me out, sorry I refuse. I don't date jerk faces." Castiel started to blush, but quickly recovered.

"Who would want to go out with someone like you?" It was his turn to laugh and my turn to pout. Oh sweet revenge here I come. I was about to tell Castiel something that would make him regret saying anything to me, when I was surprised by a honk. We turned to see a car on the road next to us. The car looked rather new and expensive, but the mysterious driver remained hidden behind the dark window. Castiel quickly recognized who the car must have belonged to because he started to head towards it. He only turned around to stare at me when he had already opened the door and thrown his backpack in. "Are you coming or what?" I nervously headed towards the car, not knowing what to expect. However, when I got into the car, I could have sworn I died and went to heaven. Sitting in the passenger seat was Lysander... and next to him sat a guy who looked around one to two years older than him. I wonder who he is... his black hair is stunning to even look at, but what caught my attention the most was the way he dressed. It looks like Lysander and señor misterioso shared some sort of Victorian fashion tastes.

"Good morning Angelia. It is nice to see you again," Lysander turned to face me, and smiled, but way too soon, he turned back to look in front of him. I pouted and heard a chuckle coming from my left. I turned to see a smirking Castiel.

"Shhh-utt uuup." Was all I could say. Time seemed to move slowly inside of the car, which made me realize that I had yet to introduce myself... once again. Sigh. When will I ever get a break? "Um hello... I'm Angelia, Castiel's neighbor." The dark haired prince turned to face me after stopping at a red light, and just kept staring at me like he was rating me in his mind. Soon his serious face turned into a soft, gentle, smiling one.

"You are quite pretty Angelia. Leigh Sinclair Ainsworth at your service. I am Lysander's older brother..." it seems like Leigh wanted to tell me something else... "If you don't mind me asking... You wouldn't mind working with me would you? I have been trying to find this model... and I haven't been able to find someone who fits my criteria... until now..." My eyes widened as I was trying to comprehend what Leigh had just said. Model? Me? And why would he even need a model in the first place? The light turned green and a car behind us honked its horn, forcing Leigh to turn around and continue driving. Leigh kept staring at me through the rear view mirror though... "You do not have to answer now, of course. Take your time to think it over." Before I could even so much as ask any questions, we arrived at what I presume to be Sweet Amoris High School.

"Angelia, welcome to Sweet Amoris High! The School where little girls like you are eaten up for lunch" Castiel got out of the car laughing, "make sure you are careful around the Student Body President. He will give you detention and eat you right up." Without not much as a goodbye, neither to us nor thanks to Leigh, Castiel left me to fend for myself. Oh was he so going to get it later. Sighing heavily, I reached for the door on my side only to see that a silver haired gentleman had beaten me to it.

"Thank you Lysander. And thank you Leigh. It was very generous of you to give me a ride without even knowing me."

"Don't worry Angelia... I know we will see each other more often in the future. I can feel it." Leigh waved to Lysander and drove away. He's not a student here? Bummer. Looking around the school I cringed at the enormous size. My old school isn't even half as big as Sweet Amoris! If this school is huge... how many people attend? Lysander must have noticed my anxiety because he just laid his hand on my shoulder, and then pulled me into a hug. My face instantly became a dark red.

"Um... Lysander..." Lysander realized what he had done and quickly moved away from me. Was he actually... blushing?

"Oh. Sorry Angelia. It just seemed like you needed support... It must be pretty hard to transfer into a new school knowing no one." Lysander came closer again, but this time he offered me his arm. "I'll show you around the school if you'd like."

"I would be pleased to be shown around by a gentleman like you, thank you." I hooked my arm through his as we proceeded to walk towards the school. Lysander showed me only the important places within the school seeing as he had only 30 minutes until classes started. I, on the other hand, had to go find this infamous president that Castiel had talked about earlier. While I was walking with Lysander in the hallway, he told me that Castiel hates The President more than any other person in the world. I did ask Lysander why Castiel hates The President, but he managed to avoid my question... All too soon, Lysander was gone and I was left alone again.

"Um... is the Student Body President here?" I looked around the room Lysander told me was the Student council room, and, by the look of things, it seemed like no one was here. I turned to leave the room when a voice stopped me. Why did this voice seem so familiar?

"Angelia! So you are the new student!" I turned to face a smiling prince charming.

"N-Nathaniel!? You attend Sweet Amoris? I didn't know that... then again I was in a rush at the store. I really am sorry for that," after apologizing I realized that I had not found the Student Body President, "Nathaniel do you happen to know where the Student Body President is?" Nathaniel blushed and scratched his head.

"That would happen to be me..." Nathaniel started mumbling about how the one time he decided to not look at the paperwork, it happens to be someone he knows. I, on the other hand, was perplexed by the beautiful features of his face. I must have been staring at him for a while because Nathaniel blushed and waved his hand in front of me. "Angelia, are you okay?" Nathaniel seemed genuinely worried. His worries seemed to fade when I smiled at him, though.

"Sorry. Sometimes I space out... Especially right now since I'm starting my first day at school."

"Well then I should let you get settled in. Here is your schedule and a form that you should have your parents sign. You can bring it in tomorrow along with a picture of yourself. You normally have to pay a fee, but I'll let it slide this time." Instead of putting the form away like a normal teenager, I pulled out a pen and signed the paper myself. Nathaniel looked very annoyed at my action, and did not hesitate in bringing it up. "Angelia... you do know that you need to get your PARENTS to sign that... right?"

"Oh! Sorry. I totally forgot to tell you; I'm an emancipated minor." I scratched the back of my head, unsure of what to say next. Nathaniel must have noticed the awkward atmosphere because he looked away.

"Sorry Angelia, I didn't know that. Next time tell me before I jump to conclusions. Here I thought you were going to be another Castiel..."

"What is up with you and Castiel, anyways? He warned me to stay the heck away from you. Why?"

"There is nothing going on. Don't worry about it. We just don't get along. He is a bad influence which was why I was going to warn you to stay away from him, but I guess he got to you first."

"You do know that it is kind of hard to stay away from someone who lives right next to you, right? Especially if this person literally spends his whole day at your house? Eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner with you? And you are acting sort of suspicious... are you sure you are not hiding something from me, Nathaniel? Because I WILL find out what it is." With that being said, I walked out of The Student Council room heading for my first class. When I arrived, I was shocked by what-I mean- WHO I saw. Sitting at the back of the classroom was Lysander and Castiel. Before I could go sit next to them, the teacher stopped me.

"Class, today we have a new student transfer! Why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself, dear..."

"Angelia." I stood there at the front for what seemed like forever. Everyone just kept staring at me like I was under some microscope. I didn't really have much to say about my boring life, so I decided to go with the truth, "My parents left me here with my "aunt", who you probably all know, when they decided to explore the world without me. Then again... it could be because I'm not their real daughter. I'm actually my aunt's daughter, shocker right? Well I thought that I should say that since you're all probably going to hear it from my aunt herself." I didn't wait for the teacher as I went to go sit down in between Lysander and Castiel. Castiel big smile burned my eyes. "What?" I whispered to Castiel.

"Everyone in town knows Carol. And they are aware of her... behavior." Castiel was holding back his laughter as I turned to a shocked Lysander.

"You're related to Ms. Carol? You two are just so... different." Lysander was choosing his words wisely, one could tell. Castiel couldn't take it anymore and started to laugh really loudly. Thanks to that, the three of us got kicked out of Spanish. It's my first day here and the teacher already thinks I'm a trouble maker. Well... it could have gone worse in my opinion.

"What do we do now, Jerk Face?" I stared at Castiel, anger evident in my eyes.

"We could always go to our secret hide out." Castiel started to head towards a door that was located near the teachers' lounge. I tried to open the door, but couldn't even manage to turn the knob. "Move over. This door is way old AND can only be opened with a key."

"I'm not even going to ask where you got that key... you know what? If anyone asks... I didn't even know we weren't allowed in; I didn't know the door was locked. The door was wide opened when I passed by..." Lysander chuckled at my comment while Castiel muttered something about me being useful in the future as an alibi. When we finished going up a bunch of stairs, I was greeted by a spectacular view of Sweet Amoris. I could have stayed there forever just staring at the beautiful buildings on the left, and the enormous forest on the right. Everything just seemed right. If only I had someone special to share this moment with.

"Isn't this just lovely?" I turned to see Lysander staring at the view alongside me. "I really wish I had my journal with me, though. I seem to always misplace it."

"Your journal! I totally forgot to give it back! You left it on the bench the day I first met you. It's in my bag let me just get it." I walked to my bag and took out Lysander's journal. I noticed Jerk Face had started to talk to Lysander as I headed back towards them. I gave Lysander his journal, and was then faced with a serious stare.

"Did you read what was inside?" If looks could kill, I'd be a dead girl right now.

"I am super sorry! It was just one page, and I didn't know what I was doing... Curiosity got the best of me." Lysander looked angry then shocked. He looked away as if he was trying to hide his... embarrassment.

"Angelia... which page did you read exactly?"

"The last page that was written on. I'm really sorry Lysander." At this... Lysander appeared to be... relieved?

"It's quiet alright this time, Angelia. Just do not do it again. I am not fond of people who snoop around other people's things, BUT your honesty has saved you this time." With that being said, Lysander went to go sit near our bags to write God knows what else in his journal. I turned back to looking at the view, but it just didn't feel right. I shivered as if something was bothering me. Castiel took note and looked at me.

"Angelia, are you alright?" Castiel grabbed my arms and forced me to turn around and face him. We all then turned our heads to look at someone who had come up to the roof. She looked and sounded pissed. Her clothes were so old fashioned and her hair reminded me of someone else's hair color. Anyone could tell that the jewelry she wore looked cheap and ugly. This girl seemed like bad news to me.

"YOU BITCH! JUST WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO BE AROUND CASTIEL!" This girl was seriously starting to piss me off. And then and idea hit me.

"Oh. You haven't heard yet? I'm new and my neighbor here was just showing me around. He practically lives with me. I guess that's why we kissed yesterday." I had pushed the poor girl over the edge. She was furious. But something in me ignored her as I stared at Lysander who seemed disappointed by what I had said. That's why it was too late when I realized she was heading straight for me. That is why it was too late to save myself as we both fell off the roof. It was too late to stop myself from hitting tree branches on the way down. I couldn't save myself from falling into the pool the way I did. I couldn't stop myself from drowning. I couldn't stop myself from losing consciousness.

*End Flashback*

The Doctor came in no sooner had I finished recalling everything that had happened to me. "Angelia, is it? I have the results from the X-Ray right here" He held up a pretty big envelope, "now... because you are an emancipated minor I am required to ask: Do you wish for your mother to be present?" I looked at him in shock. How could he say that Carol was my mother!? She may be my biological mother, but she was not just my 'mother' without the biological part.

"No I would prefer to hear this alone." I stared at AUNT Carol with eyes that stated fury for her being called my mother. It seemed like she was going to say something in her defense, but I interrupted her. "Can we get on with this Doctor?"

"Certainly, Ma'am if you will excuse us." The Doctor opened the door for Carol, and closed it as soon as she left. "Now let us see here..." He was way quieter than I thought he should be. "Well Angelia... I have good news and bad news."

"Well go on then. Tell me the bad news." I started to panic seeing as he was hesitating.

"Well, you managed to brake your left arm on the way down, and we had to stitch up a big gash you got from one of the tree branches. That will take more than a month to fully heal and feel like what it once felt like. That being the bad news, the good news is that you only sprained your right ankle. You will need at least 1 weeks to mostly recover from that. As of now, you will just need crutches." That was the good news? Well it could have gone worse. If breaking my arm was the worst that happened to me... I wonder what happened to the girl that was with me.

"Doctor, what happened to the girl that fell with me?" At that moment, I started to wonder why Lysander nor Castiel had shown their face as well. Where is everyone?

"Well... Angelia That girl broke both her legs, her right arm..." he hesitated, "and she fell into a coma…"
