Chapter 3
Morning quickly came around and the shouts of the crewmates could be heard throughout the entire ship. It was breakfast time aboard the Thousand Sunny and as usual, Luffy was charging through the ship towards the kitchen with his tongue hanging out and shouting the names of different types of meat. Sanji was tending to his duties as the ships cook and set up a usual feast for breakfast, it ranged from traditional Japanese foods to English foods and contained lots and lots of meat for the meat loving captain. All of the crewmates were now gathered in the kitchen except for the two female members, Nami and Robin, who were still laying in bed with their arms wrapped around one another.
Nami opened her eyes with a frown on her face, normally she'd wake up happy being in Robins arms but the shouts of the other crew members woke her from her peaceful sleep. She sat up and glared at the door, cursing each of them under her breath before turning to face Robin. For a moment she thought all the previous nights events were just a dream but seeing Robin sleeping next to her only proved that it really happened. Nami sighed in relief and lay back down with her head on Robins warm chest. Nami looked up at the still sleeping Robin and pouted, how on earth can she sleep through all that noise?! She scrunched her eyes shut and hugged Robin tightly in an attempt to get back to sleep. Nami kept moving to try and get comfortable, she put her leg over Robins then moved it back, put her hand on her leg then her stomach before finally sighing in frustration and sitting up. She looked down at Robin, admiring her beauty as she slept, Nami then placed a hand on Robins cheek and slowly stroked it with her thumb as she leaned down and whispered, "Robin... Robin, we should get up now."
Robin yawned sleepily and pulled the quilt up to her chin, she looked up at Nami, her eyes barely open, "Nami... You can go and eat, I want to sleep for longer." Nami glared down at Robin, she was surprised at how lazy she could be. She then placed a hand on her shoulder and shook her, "Nope! You're getting up with me so hurry up." Robin let out a loud sigh and opened her eyes, Nami's face was right above hers and she couldn't help but think about how beautiful she looked when she'd just woken up. Nami grabbed Robins hand and pulled her up so she too was sitting up, she looked into her eyes and a blush appeared across her face as she remembered the nights events. Nami felt awkward as she didn't know what to say or do so she quickly turned her gaze and got up out of the bed. She walked over to the wardrobe and picked out her clothes for the day, she decided on a red bikini top and a pair of blue jeans as the weather was once again nice. Nami still felt embarrassed being naked infront of Robin so she turned to face the wall as she got dressed.
Robin got out of the bed, she grabbed her own outfit for the day, a purple dress. She didn't mind undressing infront of Nami so she just faced her with a usual smile on her face as they got dressed in silence. Robin watched as Nami wiggled her hips as she pulled her shorts down and put on her underwear and jeans, she almost drooled at the sight. As they were getting dressed, she couldn't help but wonder what would happen next, they would eventually have to discuss what happened. Robins thoughts were interrupted by Nami as she turned round with a grin on her face and enthusiastically headed towards the door, "Alright, let's go!" Robin nodded, she quickly fastened her dress and followed her out the door. Nami was trying to hide her embarrassment from Robin as she walked ahead of her, completely ignoring her gaze. She didn't know what would happen between them, but for now she was too embarrassed to even talk about it.
As they entered the dining area, they were welcomed by a very happy looking Sanji who beckoned them to their seats, as usual he was trying to be a gentleman by pushing their chairs under for them and offering them napkins and fresh drinks. The two girls sat down in their seats and Nami slowly sipped her fresh orange whilst Robin began to fill her plate with various foods. The other crewmates seemed completely oblivious to their presence as they were caught up in their own antics. Luffy was as usual stuffing his face with as much food as possible, especially the meat. Nami sometimes wondered how he managed to eat so much without being sick but she came to the conclusion it was due to his rubber body. Chopper was hanging on to every word that Usopp was telling him about an adventure he didn't have. Chopper was so gullible but no one ever told him the truth because he enjoyed the stories so much. Zoro was sitting in the corner of the room on a bench along the wall, it was hard to tell whether he was actually awake or not and Franky was getting sick of Brooks jokes about having no bones.
Usopp stopped mid sentence when he noticed Nami and Robin out of the corner of his eye. He looked at Nami as he thought back to the previous nights party, he scrunched his eyebrows up as he thought long and hard then came to the conclusion that she simply wasn't at the party, "Hey Nami, where have you been? It feels like I haven't seen you in a while." Nami blushed as she thought back to the previous nights events and she began to panic that somehow they were heard last night and how suspicious she looked right now, "Uhm... I fell asleep really early." She took another sip from her drink as she tried to hide her blush and convince herself she wasn't acting suspicious at all.
Chopper walked over to Nami when he noticed her red face and placed his hand on her forehead, "Nami, are you okay? Do you have a fever?" Nami's blush deepened as she stared at Chopper, not knowing what to say. Robin chuckled, she knew exactly why Nami was blushing, she turned to Chopper and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Chopper, I think Nami is feeling quite alright." Nami was now more embarrassed than ever and was panicking so much, she was convinced they were onto her and really didn't want the crew to find out what she did. She started to sweat a little as she breathed heavily, she put down her cup and rose from her seat, "Sorry guys, I'm not really hungry... I'll go check out today's weather."
The rest of the crew stopped in their tracks as they watched Nami storm out the room, they were convinced they saw tears on her face as she slammed the door behind her. Nami was angry at herself for being so stupid and so conscious of the others finding out, it was almost as if she felt guilty that in happened when in fact the reality was the opposite. Robin had a worried looked on her face as she also thought she saw Nami crying, she turned to the group with a forced smile as she rose from her seat, "I'll go check on her." The group nodded in agreement as she rushed out the room to check on Nami. As she stepped outside, Robin instantly spotted Nami sitting alone at the bow of the ship with her head in her hands. She slowly approached her and placed a hand softly on her shoulder, "Nami, are you alright?"
Nami gasped and quickly turned round as she heard Robin's voice, her eyes were red and tears were flowing down her face, she looked a mess but to Robin, she still looked beautiful. Robin placed a hand on her cheek and gently wiped away her tears, "Tell me what's wrong." Nami looked at the ground, she felt guilty for the way she was acting and for worrying so much about the crew finding out, she knew they would never judge her for the things she did. She took a deep breath, held back her tears and look up at Robin, "I'm sorry Robin, all I could think about was last night and.. it made me really embarrassed and my heart started to race and I... I just panicked. Last night.. It was all so fast, I don't know what to make of it, all I know is that I enjoyed it but.. I don't know if I'm ready to do anything like this."
Robin smiled and let out a sigh as Nami expressed all her feelings, she was worried Nami would want to forget about the previous night and act like it never happened. She grabbed Nami by her arms and pulled her into a tight hug, "All I want is to be with you, Nami." Nami blushed as she wrapped her arms as tight as she could around Robin and rested her head on her shoulder, she always felt calm when she was close to Robin. After nearly a minute, she pulled away from the hug and looked Robin the eyes, "Let's work on... whatever this is." Robin's heart nearly jumped out of her chest as she was so happy, she kept her composure and nodded in agreement before turning to walk towards the kitchen, "Shall we get back to eating?" Nami smiled as she nodded and grabbed Robin's hand, "Yeah, let's go."
