Here's the next chapter! Please read AND review! Thanks!

"What happened Sweetie?" asked Ellie. Clay sighed and said,

"The pipes burst at the shelter. I have to go over and check the damage."

"I'll go with you." Abby said.

"I'll stay with the kids. Jesse may be needed for the heavy lifting."

"Ok, let's get the supplies together and head on over. Who called you, Clay?" Jesse asked.

"One of the neighbors saw water coming out from under the door. She looked through the windows and saw Loch Lomond."

"Clay, I'm sure she was exaggerating." Ellie said, trying to convince herself.

"Well, I'm about to go find out. See ya later." Clay responded, kissing his wife. Then he, Abby and Jesse gathered up and headed out. When they arrived at the shelter site and got inside, the three of them found out that the report had definitely NOT been exaggerated.

"Oh, Clay!" Abby gasped out. Clay just shook his head sadly.

"This is gonna be a lot of work. It'll take days." Jesse said.

"And we open in two weeks." Clay said, dejectedly. Abby walked over and hugged him and then said,

"We can do this, Clay. With the group of us working on it, and if we gather some of the neighbors to help, it won't take too long. And you have some staff hired, right?"

"A few. A lot of the work will be volunteers."

"Still, I bet if we all work together we can fix this place up good as new in a few days." Jesse said, warming up to his wife's plan. A couple of the neighbors came in a few moments later, when they were told the plan, they gathered the others up and came over to the shelter. Clay called Ellie to update her and then they all got to work. They stayed till nearly midnight. Then they headed home to sleep. The next day, they all came back to the site and worked. There was an upstairs room with some cots that hadn't gotten flooded, so after lunch, Abby took the kids and Cocoa into that room for a nap. Later, Bishop took them to the park while the others continued working. Cleanup was finished by dinner time and the group decided to start the repairs the next morning. After the neighbors had all gone home for supper, Clay turned to Abby and Jesse and said, "I have an idea. How about we head to Rainforest Café? Ellie'll be back with the kids in a few minutes."

"Awesome! Jesse took me there the night he proposed in DC, but we've never taken the kids!" Abby said. Ellie came in a few moments later with the kids in tow, and was informed of the plans. She was totally on board, and the kids were super excited when they found out. On the way, they were told the story about their dad's proposal to their mom. They were totally intrigued. Before they entered the building, Abby and Jesse told the girls that they could get a drink in a souvenir cup and that they could pick one other souvenir of their choice at any of the places they went over the next couple of weeks. The adults also ordered drinks that came in souvenir glasses. After they were seated, the drinks were ordered and then soon brought to the table. Julie got an elephant cup, Caty got a frog, and Kelly got a monkey. The food orders were then taken and Abby took the girls into the gift shop to look around while they waited. Kelly found a stuffed monkey that she wanted as a souvenir. Abby found a black shirt with rainforest animals on it that said Rainforest Cafe for Tony. Julia was able to talk her Godmother into buying a small toy for her. It was a small stuffed monkey just the right size to fit in her hand. When they had paid and headed back to the table, they found that the food had arrived. The kids' meals came with a plastic bendable animal toy. There was a gorilla for Kelly, a tiger for Caty, and for Julie, a frog like the one on Caty's drink. The little girl squealed with delight and burst out,

"Fwoggy!" in a way that made Kelly giggle and Caty chuckle at the expression on her little cousin's face. The group ate their food and then the kids played with their toys while the grownups talked. After about an hour, Jesse said,

"We'd better get these three home to bed."

"Yeah, Julie's fallen asleep in her high chair. Clay and Jesse went to pay while Ellie and Abby took the two other girls to make a pit stop. While the men and Julie waited, Clay and Jesse looked around the gift stop. Jesse found an orange shirt that said Rainforest Cafe and had animals and an island hut on it. When Abby, Ellie and the girls met the others out front, they headed back to Clay and Ellie's place and got the kids ready for bed. Once they were all tucked in, Clay and the other grownups talked about plans for the next day. Abby agreed to be the one to get the kids out for the day so they wouldn't be underfoot. She would take them to kid friendly attractions that the adults weren't as interested in seeing. They would all get to do the touristy stuff together the next week. They might have to eliminate some of the attractions for this trip due to time, but they would make sure to do the top choices. As Abby had said before, what really mattered was all of them just being together.

Well, looks like they still have work to do with the shelter to get it ready to open. Can they do it and still have fun? Tune in Monday to find out! Don't
