Chaoter 2 - Igloo, Sweet Igloo

The group of Vault Hunters didn't have to walk far to realize that Claptrap was annoying most of them, except the girl, who loved all kinds of robots. Salvador was carrying her robot for her, it was way too large for her to lift.

Maya rolled her eyes as the robot spoke. "- I wonder what it's like to have a belly button."

"I'll explain everything soon, but know this -- you're alive for a reason and I am here to help you." A mysterious voice said over each of the Vault Hunter's ECHO communicators.

"WHO SAID THAT?!" Krieg yelled after hearing the voice. "I ALREADY GOT ONE VOICE IN MY HEAD."

"Well he's crazy. But who isn't on Pandora." Claptrap said as he rolled forward. The Vault Hunters soon reached Claptrap's home. It could be compared to a very large igloo, however, upon further inspection, one could tell that it was the remnants of an old building. Snow covered the large building and many of the walls covered by ice and snow. There was a giant pile of junk on the outside next to a big "Welcome" sign. "Well done. Your ability to walk short distances without dying will be Handsome Jack's downfall."

"Shut up and let us inside. We're freezing out here." Axton said as he rubbed his upper arms.

"Okay okay. Calm your horses." Claptrap said as he went to the door, which proceeded to scan him. "Aaaaand open!"

"That's not how the expression goes..." Axton said as they entered. On the inside, the walls were mostly ice blocks, as most of the foundation wasn't strong enough to support the snow covered roof. However, there were also shells of previous deactivated Claptrap units, with red, yellow, green, blue, black bodies being parts of the walls or just strewn about. "Geez...nice place."

"Why thank you. I designed it myself."

"No sh-" Axton then looked at the youngest member of their group. "Crap."

"Why didn't you just say shit?" The girl asked as they walked.

"Cause you're a kid." Axton said.

"I'm 16." She said.

"You're still the youngest one here, not counting the robots. Zer0, you can back me up right? Tell her we shouldn't cuss in front of her." Axton said looking to him.

Zer0 proceeded to simply stare at him. The girl snickered as she walked past them. "Thanks..."

":)" Zer0 holographically displayed over his helmet.

In what could be compared to the living room, there was a very large red fireplace, large enough to heat the room, but not melt the ice. There was a giant hole in the ceiling where the fireplace's chimney exited. There were two couches, each with blood covering them, along with a dead body on one. Salvador sat down on the one without a dead body. "This place sucks."

"Well for now, it's all we've got." Axton said. He looked over at the stowaway girl they had found and walked over to her. "What's your name?"

"Gaige, the Mecromancer!" She said excitedly as she jumped in the air and punched the sky.

"Is that supposed to mean something?" Axton asked her, confused as to what a "Mecromancer" was.

"Everyone has cool names. I wanted one even cooler!"

"What do you mean?"

"You're Axton, the Commando. She's Maya, the Siren. Zer0, the Assassin. And I'm Gaige, the Mecromancer." She said trying to do a cool voice.

"So...what is a 'Mecromancer?'" Axton asked her.

"I summon my robot Deathtrap."

"But doesn't he just follow you around?"

"SHUSH!! DON'T RUIN MY BADASSNESS!!" Gaige yelled at him.

"Okay...well. Do you think you could fix this?" Axton asked as he handed her the small box he wore on his waist.

"Oh sweet. Yeah, I can fix this. Just give me an hour or two." Gaige said as she inspected the box.

"Alright. Thanks Gaige." Axton said as he walked away from her. Gaige went back to working on her robotic ally, Deathtrap.

"So, where are we?" Maya asked as she approached the fireplace.

"This is my home! Sorry about the mess. Everything Jack kills, he dumps here -- bandits, Vault Hunters, Claptrap units...If I sound pleased about this, it's only because my programmers made this my default tone of voice! I'm actually quite depressed!"

"Well. Shit. This place sounds awful."

"It is! Now, the creatures around here are dangerous, none more so than this Bullymong named Knuckledragger -- killed everyone I know. Anywho, I keep a pistol in the cabinet over there for emergencies, but in here we should be pretty safe!" Claptrap said before a roaring coming from above them. A blue creature with white fur and six limbs then slid down Claptrap's chimney and grabbed the small robot. Knuckledragger, who was said creature, then climbed back up and ripped out Claptrap's eye.

"My eye!" Claptrap screamed as he was dropped to the ground. Knuckledragger then left the way he entered. The Vault Hunters just looked in awe. There was nothing they could do. Claptrap got up some. "The gun...the gun in the cabinet..."

As Claptrap went around, crashing into things, the group of Vault Hunters approached the cabinet, passing what looked like a poker table with several deceased Claptrap units sitting in the chairs. Axton opened the box to find a single basic repeater. It was a small brown and tan camouflage pistol. It was the only gun in the entire building.

"It's mine!" Salvador yelled as he tried to get it.

"It's mine!" Axton said as the two began to fight for it. Gaige was too busy fixing Deathtrap to care, Zer0 was content with his sword, and Maya didn't feel like getting into the fight.

"I don't need a gun! I'll just use my-WAIT WHERE'S MY AXE?!" Krieg yelled as he looked around. He yelled angrily and ran back outside.

"Fine! You can have it!" Salvador yelled as he gave up the gun to Axton.

"Alright. So. Where to now?" Axton asked.

"I've got an idea..." Salvador said.

"And what's-" Axton was then cut off by Salvador's fist hitting him in the face.
