So here's chapter 3... Yeah I know its long over due but I only write when I get the urge to write.

Last Time:

"Can we go eat now? Fighting makes me hungry." As if to prove my point my stomach growled and I blushed.

Mama and I laughed. I glanced at Sesshomaru and noticed a corner of his mouth upwards. 'That must be his form of a smile. We'll have to work on that.'

Now:

After that little spat, dinner was quite enjoyable, Mama and I talked about my upcoming birth, while Sesshomaru provide input. We agreed that I would stay at my mother's one more night so I could start fresh and have all day to get use to my new home and settle in. My faithful alarm woke me up at 8 o'clock followed by my faithful morning sickness. I brushed my teeth and took a shower.

After my shower I grabbed my phone and proceeded to call Sesshomaru.

"Hello, Tashio residence, Kaede speaking how may I help you?"

"Kaede its Kagome could tell Mr. Tashio that I'm getting ready to come over?"

"Mr. Tashio informed me this morning that I am to call the limo to come get you when you are ready Miss Kagome." 'Is he crazy? I don't need a limo'

"Oh no. I don't need all that. A taxi will be fine. I will be there about eleven."

"But Mr. Tashio will be displeased Kagome."

"He has to learn that people aren't always going to do what he says. As much as he wouldn't like to admit the world does not revolve around Sesshomaru Tashio. I will be there by Eleven Kaede. Goodbye" I hung up called the taxi company to come pick me up. I went back upstairs and grabbed my purse and shoes. By the time I got back downstairs and looked out the window the taxi was already at the curb.

"Mom I'm leaving now." I hugged her when she came out of the kitchen.

"I'll try to come over tomorrow and visit and see how you are settling in." She walked me to the door

"Alright Bye Mama." I waved as I walked down the stairs to the taxi. I slid in the back and gave the driver the address to Sesshomaru's. I closed my eyes and lean my head back onto the seat. 'So I'm almost 2 months pregnant. I wonder if it's going to be a girl or boy. An adorable boy who looks like him or an adorable girl who looks like me; either way it's going to be a gorgeous baby!' I smiled 'My luck the baby won't look anything like me.' I peeked out the window and noticed we were getting close to Sesshomaru's. 'I better start mentally preparing myself for a fight if he's here.'

I felt the car stop and heard the driver say. "Miss we are here." I opened my eyes and saw Kaede waiting for me on the steps. I paid the driver and mumbled thanks as I opened the door.

"Welcome home Miss. Kagome." I smiled 'Yeah I guess it is my home now.' We made our way up the steps and into the foyer while we exchanged pleasantries.

"Good Morning Kagome. May I ask why you wouldn't use the limo I had on standby for you." I looked over the staircase and saw Sesshomaru leaning against the banister.

"Good morning to you too Sesshomaru; I thought it was too much just for me. I didn't need a limo to pick me up. A taxi did the job just fine; but thanks you for the thought."

"That is the last time you use a taxi or any other form of public transportation. You will use the limo or I will drive you myself to wherever you wish. That way I know my heir is safe."

"Sesshomaru I don't need someone to drive me around all the time." I could see he was read to argue his point some more. "You know what, never mind. Kaede can you show me to my room? I'm tired and would like a nap."

Kaede smiled "Sure Miss Kagome right this way." She turned to the staircase on the left; the one Sesshomaru wasn't occupying, and started up. I noticed on the walls were pictures of what I assumed to be Sesshomaru's family. There were some of a man, woman and a baby then they progressed to just a woman and a baby. As we reached the top of the stairs there were a big window and a door leading out onto a balcony

"Kaede can I go out there real quick?"

"Let me show you to your room then you may go anywhere you want Miss. Kagome." I turned away from the window and notice there wasn't a lot of room up here. There were four doors. One on the right, one straight ahead and two on the left. Kaede headed to the one on the right.

After she opened the door I walked in and was amazed. "It is beautiful." The walls were painted a deep metallic blue while the bed and furniture was either light blue or white. Across the was another balcony. I gasped and walked over to it. The window went from the floor to the ceiling and had flower designs around the edges.

"I figured you would like to explore your own balcony instead of the other one." Kaede said as I walked toward the window. I could see out into the garden from here. Kaede opened the door and I walked out onto the spacious balcony.

Down in the garden there were rose bushes everywhere I looked. To the right of my balcony was a large pond with willow trees all around it and to the left was what looked like a big hedge wall.

"Kaede what is that? A wall?" I pointed to the left. Kaede came up beside me.

"Oh that is the hedge maze Sesshomaru had built years ago. When he needs to think he walks in it for hours." I smiled 'So there are things he does for fun'

I looked at Kaede "After my nap may I go explore the gardens?'

"After you have had lunch you may Miss Kagome. I have bee entrusted with caring for your health." My stomach growled at the mention of food. I laughed .

"Alright, Seems like the baby agrees. You don't have to worry about my eating habits Kaede; and please just call me Kagome."

"As you wish Kagome. Now take a nap and when you wake lunch will be ready." She shooed me back inside the room and shut the balcony door. She left the room and I took off my shoes and socks and laid down on king sized four poster bed. 'This is like a fairytale, whisked away to a mansion by a prince, but the prince doesn't want me just my baby.' With that thought I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up feeling great. 'This bed is wonderful.' I raised up and looked around for a clock. I found it on the opposite wall of the bed. It read one-thirty Pm. I started looking around at my new room.

On the wall with the clock was a desk and a laptop. The desk was facing the balcony window. To the right of the bed was a sitting area with a blue couch and chair against the wall and a television on a stand in front of the couch. On down from the sitting area on the wall by the door was a bookshelf full of books. I made a mental note to check them out when I came back from the garden. Next on that wall was the door that lead to the hallway. On the other side of the door was a beautiful white marble fireplace with a white shag rug in front of it. Across from the sitting area were two doors close together. Curiosity got the better of me, I stepped down of the bed platform and felt coldness seep into my feet. I looked down and gasped the floor was white and blue tile in a swirl pattern. 'I need make sure I packed my house slippers for this winter or my feet are going to freeze.' I walked over to the doors and opened the one on the rights. It was dark as I felt around for a light switch. Once I found it my mouth dropped. There were bars on both sides of the room, two on each wall. The left were packed full of shirts and dresses in ever color you could imagine. On the other side were shorts, skirts, and pants. The back wall had shelves that went from the floor to well above my head. There were shoes and purses on every shelf.

'Are these Kagura's clothes? Surely she didn't leave all these wonderful items behind? I'll ask Kaede when I see her.'

I turned off the light and closed the door and turned to the next one. 'I hope this is a bathroom, the baby is laying on my bladder. I opened the door and sighed in relief when I saw a toilet on the left wall. After I washed my hands I turned and looked at the rest of the bathroom. In one corner was a huge garden tube with jets; in the other was a shower with multiple shower heads. 'Those jets and shower heads are going to help my back so much!' I left the room and noticed two might stands on either side of my bed. One had an lamp and an alarm clock, while the other had the tray of food that Kaede promised me. I grabbed the tray and went out onto the balcony to the table off in the corner. As I was munching on the fruits and crackers Kaede walked out.

"Did you enjoy your nap and lunch Kagome?' I smiled and motioned for her to sit in the other chair.

"Yes! My rooms are wonderful! Everything is so beautiful here. Speaking of beautiful things, I have a question. Those clothes in the closet, are they Kagura's?" She shook her head.

"It is true that these rooms were Miss Wind's when she lived here but no. Those clothes were purchased after she left."

I scrunched up my face. "Then whose are they?"

"Yours Kagome."

" How"

"Sesshomaru called his personal seamstress and told her he needed every type of clothing made for a woman in his life and told her to gather shoes, purses, and lingerie to match. I helped estimate your size. There is a whole section of maternity clothes in there for when you get bigger."

"Why would he order me clothes to be made? I have clothes." She shook her head.

"I have an idea, but you should ask him. Are you done eating? I'll show you to the gardens now if you wish."

"Yes please, Is Sesshomaru here now?"

"No. Sesshomaru goes to work every day at seven am. He came home today for lunch to welcome you. He left shortly after you went to sleep."

"That's nice of him and I greeted him with stubbornness." I looked at my hands. 'How could I be that big of a bitch?' We made out way out of my room and down the stairs.

"Don't worry Kagome, he has thick skin." 'Nobody should be treated like that though. I was very rude.'

The foyer was the first room you enter when you came into the house. There were hallways on three sides of it, and the door to the outside on the other. There were two sets of stairs that lead upstairs. Between them were a large hallway that lead to the rest of the house. As we journeyed down the hallway I noticed more pictures of the woman and baby from earlier.

"Kaede is this Sesshomaru and his mother?" I stopped in front of a picture of the woman sitting by the pond under a willow tree with the baby in her arms.

"Yes that is Misaki Tashio, Sesshomaru's mother. She use to love to sit out in the garden with Sesshomaru. The gardens were her favorite place. She started building them as soon as she married Inu Tashio." I frowned.

"Used to Kaede?" She nodded her head.

"Misaki died when Sesshomaru was just a toddler. For a toddler he remembers a lot about her. I have been here since the beginning of Misaki's pregnancy. I became His nanny when she died."

I turned to Kaede "How did she die?"

She sighed and looked at the beautiful woman smiling down at her baby, "That is a tale that Sesshomaru should tell you himself. Come the way to the gardens is through the dinning room." We pasted a set of doors on either side of the hallway. Kaede told me that the one on the left was her room and the one on the right was the downstairs bathroom. Further down the hall there were another set of doors. Both of these rooms were guest rooms. At the end of the hallway there was a big archway that took up most of the wall.

As we entered the dinning room the first thing I noticed was the huge chandelier above a large Mahoney table that could easily fit twenty people. Across from the entrance was a fireplace that was almost as tall as me. There were paintings all around the room. There were four doors one on each wall. Keade pointed out that the two doors that were on the back wall and the left side went to the kitchen.

"That door to our right leads to the garden. There is another way to get out there but going this way you got to see most of the house."

"This is where I depart your company Kagome. I'm going to go check on dinner. Is there anything you are craving?"

I bit my lip " Do you have any strawberry cheesecake?"

Kaede laughed. "Sesshomaru's chef and kitchen staff are experts at what they do. I'm sure they can whip up a cheesecake for you." I said thanks and made my way out into the gardens.

There was stone paths leading all over the garden. I started walking down the middle path, passing under a black trellis with roses weaved all through it. Trees and flowers lined the path. After a little bit of gazing and smelling the flowers, I continued down the path, enjoying the sun and fresh air. The walkway started getting wider. I stopped in my tracks, right in front of me about ten to fifteen feet was another fountain. This one had just Misaki in it. She was on her knees gazing at the stone flowers in the base of the fountain. Water was flowing out of each of the flowers. I sat on the ledge and ran my hands through the water. I noticed the sun dropping in the sky. 'I better head back before Kaede sends a search party for me.'

I made my way back to the house. As I stepped into the dinning room there were servants bustling around cleaning everything. I spotted Kaede in the middle of the room giving out orders. I walked over to her.

"Welcome back Kagome! I was worried that you had ventured into the maze and had got lost."

I smiled " No I was just exploring the gardens. The maze is on my list for tomorrow. That fountain is beautiful. It's Misaki right?"

Kaede gestured to the dinning room chairs and sat down. "Yes that is her. Sesshomaru had it made years ago."

I looked out into the gardens. "It's a beautiful fountain." I glanced around at the servants. "What's going on?"

"Oh Sesshomaru phoned about half an hour ago and said he would be joining us for dinner."

I frowned. "Isn't he normally gone for dinner?" I leaned back in the chair to relieve some of the pressure on my stomach. 'I'm only seven weeks and it already feels like a balloon is in my belly'

"Yes most of the time he is. He works normally seven am to nine or ten pm."

'How does he expect to help me with a baby when he works like that? Another thing to ask him?'

A servant rushed into the dining room and hurried over to Kaede. "Miss Kaede, Mr. Tashio is coming up the driveway"

Keade stood up." Thank you. Kagome if you want to freshen up for dinner, now is the time."

"Yes. When is dinner served?"

Kaede looked at her watch.." It is four-thirty now and we usually serve dinner at six."

"Alright I'm heading up to my room if you need me." We exchanged good byes and I made my way back to the foyer and started up the stairs when Sesshomaru came down the hallway on the left.

"Good evening Kagome." He stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked up at me.

"Hello Sesshomaru. How was your day?" I turned towards him and held onto the banister so I wouldn't topple over into him.

"It was a regular day. How did your day go?"

"It went well. Kaede showed me around the house some, and I explored the gardens. They are very beautiful by the way."

"Yes. They were my mother's prized possession." 'Why is he being nice? Maybe I was too quick to judge him?'

"May I accompany you upstairs while we continue talking?"

"Yes you may Sesshomaru." He joined me on the stairs. " Your house really is beautiful." He placed his hand on the small of my back and guided me up the stairs.

"When is your next doctors appointment?"

"Not for another 2 weeks. Why do you ask?" We reached the top of the stairs and came to a stop. He turned toward me

"I would like to accompany you."

"I'll check the date and let you know when it is. "

"Yes. This is where we part for now. I will be back in an hour to walk you to dinner." I nodded and said bye as I headed to my room.

I walked into my bathroom and turned on the shower and proceeded to zone out while doing my shower routine. ' Is he really serious about going to the doctor with me? He will probably back out at the last minutes saying he has work to do.'

I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around me and started to blow dry my hair. "oh well I will tell him and if he doesn't show up its his lost.' I picked out a casual yellow dress and black flats. I straightened my hair and put on some light makeup. I headed into my room and check my appointment card. I went into the hallway and saw Sesshomaru heading towards me.

"Are you ready Kagome?" He came to a stop in from of me.

"Yes, and before I forget my appointment is Monday."

He put his hand on my back and guided me back to the stairs. "Alright what time and where?"

"Two O'clock at the hospital on 4th avenue."

"I shall cancel my meetings for that day." We reached the bottom of the stairs and stopped. "I will even be a gentleman and take you out to lunch first." I smiled as we reached the dining room and was greeted by Keade.

"Good Evening Sesshomaru, Kagome. Dinner is being plated as we speak."

"Very good Keade." He walked to the head of the table while Keade motioned for me to sit at the other end where the only other plate setting was. ' how are we suppose to have a conversations when we are this far apart ?'. As we were seated servants came rushing out of the kitchen with a pitchers of water for me and wine for him. Once they were gone another servant wave came out with the first course of salad.

Once we were alone again I decided to start a conversation " While you were at work Keade game me a tour of the house. it is really beautiful."

"I'm glad you like it, did you get to see al of it?"

I swallowed the food in my mouth and answered. "I got to see most of the house and the gardens, but I had to come back inside because it got close to dinner."

"I can continue your tour when we are finished with dinner if you wish."

"Yes please." He nodded his head and then we ate our salads in silence. 'Think of something to talk about!'

"When you take me on the tour can we venture into the maze."

Before he could respond the servants wave happened again one to take away our salad dishes and another to replace them with a delicious looking steak

"As it is getting dark soon it will be best to save the maze for a time in the daylight therefore you can enjoy it more and are less likely to get lost. If you want I can show you the library tonight." I paused in eating 'I can find a good book to fall asleep to.'

" I would like that very much." I put down my knife and fork and took a sip of water. "Sesshomaru may I ask you a question?"

"You can ask. I may not choose to answer."

"Why are you being nice to me?"

He laid down his utensils as well and sipped his wine. "You are carrying my child."

I mentally sighed. "Yeah I know that but that doesn't explain my closet full of designer clothes or you being extremely nice to me. I had my own wardrobe, why would you buy me a new one."

"I am an important figure in this city. I cannot have anyone in my household running around looking like a peasant."

My mouth dropped. " Excuse me? My clothes weren't rags!"

"I didn't say they were. You need to wear clothes of my social and financial status not yours."

I opened my mouth to snap at him when the servant wave rushed out of the kitchen and took the dishes away again and left the thing I had been craving all day. "Oh thank you." I mumbled as I took at bite.

I looked toward Sesshomaru and noticed he didn't have a dessert. "Don't you like cheesecake? I've been craving this all day. I asked Keade if the kitchen staff could make me one but I had no idea it would be this good; so I'm not going to let your insensitively get me angry enough to lose my appetite."

He shook his head. "No. Sweets are not a pleasure of mine. When you are finished we will head to the pool area then the library."

My eyes got big "You have a pool?"

"Yes I assume you will enjoy it more then I do."

"If you don't like it; why do you have one then."

"To entertain guests of course."

I finished my dessert and stood up. "I'm ready if you are." He stood up as well and waited for me at the door.

He held the door open for me. "Right this way."
