Skipper and Kowalski looked at each other and laughed
"In his present state of imprisonment, Eva. Its quite impossible for Dave to spontaneously return, Sorry." Kowalski said when he finally stop laughed.
Eva and Short Fused look at each other then back at the penguins unimpressed. It took them a minutes or two before Skipper broke the silence.
"Anyway, what proof do you have that Dave 'HAS' return." Skipper ordered.
"Well that's where you come in Skipper." Classified said walking into the tent with Corporal.
Skipper cringed when he heard the wolf's voice. He still didn't like the wolf, despite making it up to them with the jetpacks. He still didn't like him.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't The Big Bad Wolf himself, coming to huff and puff our house down." Skipper said sheepish
Corporal and Short Fuse let out a small laugh while Classified and Eva just gave the Skipper a aggressive stare which made the head penguin uncomfortable.
"Anyway, if you're done with story time. Are you willing to hear the debrief of the mission." Classified said still annoyed.
"No need. We're very busy here running a very professional business and we have no time for conspiracies. So long, goodbye, cheerio and don't let the door hit you on the way out."
And with that the two birds left the agents alone, not knowing that their little Private was listening in to the entire conversation. He felt bad for the way Skipper had treated them. Grabbing a piece of a circus flyer and a crayon he wrote:
Sorry for Skipper's behaviour. He's just as paranoid of Dave's return as you are. Meet me at your jet. I'll be there in an hour and fifteen minutes.
Private.
He then folded it up like a paper plane and flew it off. Classified had just turned when the paper plane hit him right between the eyes. Rubbing it for a bit, he then read the letter before walking out of the tent with the rest of his team.
"Private, There you are. Do you remember where we put the first aid kit. One of the hippies twisted his ankle badly and we need an ice pack and bandages." Skipper said, coming back into the room.
"We left it in the truck. Hold on a minute I'll go get it." Private smiled as he slid off.
It only took Private five minutes before he returned in the tent with Melman on the ground in pain.
"Now, where is that..." Kowalski was interrupted by Private sliding through the door
"Hear it is." The small penguin said handing over the first aid kit.
The rest of the night was a success. All the performances went off without a hitch. They never seen so many people cheer in the entire time they owned the circus. Once the circus was over everyone mingled, telling each what a great job they did.
"Ok everyone. You all did a excellent job tonight, I want to the exact high standard performance tomorrow." Skipper spoke proudly.
Private check the time and he knew it was the time he arranged to meet the North Wind outside. He has also made outside when the rest of the team caught him sneaking out. Right then the little penguin's team knew what he was doing.
"rivate rhat ra rou roing." Rico concernedly exclaimed.
He knew he couldn't get out of this one so he told the truth.
"I'm going to see what the North Wind wants, Ok. They seemed like they need some help so I told them I'll meet outside after the show." Private could see that skipper wasn't all all impressed with his actions, but deep down Private could tell that Skipper knew he meant well.
"If we do what they want we can prove to the North Wind hasn't come back and we'll be back before you know it." Private pleaded
Skipper gave up. "Alright, only to prove to the North Wind that Dave isn't involve." Skipper angrily commanded.
"That's all I needed to hear." All of a sudden the penguins felt something being injecting into their bodies. Before they fell unconscious, Skipper pulled out what was shot at him, It was a dart. And not just any dart.
"Classified, that low, down, dirty DOG." At that moment Skipper, too fell unconscious on the circus floor.
"I thought you said you weren't going to those things again!"Corporal protested.
"I did. But I can't risk them changing their minds before we get there. Gently load them onto the jet and set a course for Venice." With that they left. With the penguins. For Venice.
Skipper woke up, then Kowalski, Rico and Private. They were very subtle about as they didn't want the North Wind knowing they were awake. Skipper snuck over to the wolf and very aggressively stomped on his tail nearly breaking it. Classified also swore but kept it in remembering there was a baby seal present.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" Classified yelled at the penguin behind.
"I could ask you the same thing Sherlock Holmes." Skipper calmly pointed out
"WHAT DID I DO." Classified yelped, pain rising from his tail to the rest of the body.
"You said that you weren't going to use those trac darts. AND WHAT DO YOU DO? YOU GO A HEAD AND USE THEM." Skipper yelled.
Throughout the plane noises of the two leaders yelling at each other arguing, until Private had had enough.
"EXCUSE me, didn't you say you needed our help."
"Right. Thank you. Anyway to cut a long story short, we gotten tones of reports that Dave's operations have started back up and he's leading it. And what we want you to do is infiltrate the compound and retrieve any information conforming the reports." Classified informed them.
"When do we start." Kowalski asked.
"Now." With a push of a button, the penguins fell from the plane into Dr. Brines Laboratory.
