Exiakaiser: Welcome back, all, to the next episode of Yu-gi-oh Musou! In this chapter, we will be introducing 6 new things. The First is the opponent for this chapter, Reika Kaminari, the self-proclaimed Vlog Queen.
Name: Reika Kaminari
Alias: Vlog Queen (Self Proclaimed)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Physical Appearance: Reika stands about 5'11", and has a slender build. She has long silver hair, and wears a lot of fancy clothing. She has green eyes.
Personality: Loud, bold, and not afraid to speak her mind. Hates Kuroza with a vengeance, and never trusts his record, believing it all fake and not even true in the first place.
History: Reika was a girl raised by hard-cased reporters. However, Reika gained her own reputation as a vicious attacker of Kuroza, and the only person who does not believe all the hype about him. Hates Kuroza because she sees him as another punk. Her first time in the school, she tried to get Kuroza arrested by the disciplinary committee because she believed he was a fraud, and not even worthy of the school's reputation. Was once part of the School Newspaper Club, but was dropped after her legendary 'Kuroza Expulsion Campaign', which lead to Kuroza fighting the Disciplinary Committee to near submission. Yet for all her insults, she is a strong and fair person, not unwilling to accept a duel.
Deck: Fire Emblem
Duel Grades: Normal: B+
Action: S
Deck-Master: A-
Turbo: B-
Labyrinth: S
Quirks: She has a Vlog called 'Queen Reika's Vlog of Truth', where she reports on what happened during the school day. However, most of what she says is detracting of Kuroza.
Also, we introduce the villains for the first time, Darkbeasts Mephistopheles, and Loki, the sinister side of the new age, and the one responsible for a lot of the things that happened in the past.
Name: Darkbeast Mephistopheles
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male? (Being a Devil, he could be anything)
Physical Appearance: Also unknown, because he rarely shows himself.
Personality: Deceptive, and cruel.
History: Mephistopheles is most well known as the Devil that tempted Faust in the Goethe play. However, in this series, he is part of a celestial game between himself, Sagara, and Loki to see just who will succeed in the final battle.
Deck: Unknown
Duel Grades: Unknown. Believed to be an expert at all duel types.
Name: Darkbeast Loki
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance: Usually wears a green and black battle robe with Gold accents. Wears a golden helmet with twin goat horns sticking out of the front.
Personality: He is the Asgard Trickster God, What do you expect him to be like?
History: Loki, in Norse Mythology, was a Trickster God, born of Odin, the All-Father, and Freya, the Mother of all Gods, and the wife of Odin. He is mostly responsible for the birth of Sleipnir, Odin's 8-legged horse, Fenrir, a massive wolf, and Jormmagund, aka the Midgard Serpent, a giant snake that circles the world. He was also responsible for the death of his brother, Baldur the Beautiful, tricking another God, this one blind to strike Baldur with a sprig of Mistletoe, thereby killing him. However, in this series, he is part of a celestial game between himself, Sagara, and Mephistopheles to see just who will succeed in the final battle.
Deck: Unknown
Duel Grades: Unknown. Believed to be an expert at all duel types.
Next is the Student Council. However, their presence in this chapter is bit parts. At the same time, we introduce the School Dueling Club, Kuroza's Club, and the big reason Kuroza is not really speaking out much. Wait till you see what I do with the cast of the Blazblue series.
Next is the series opener, the opening theme. For this series, the debate between myself and Card Golem only ended when I agreed that, for this series, we would only use a opening theme he wanted to use. He decided on a theme from a Megaman EXE series that never made it to the US, Rockman EXE Stream. The theme, 'Be Somewhere' by Buzy, was actually, not that bad. So I finally relented and gave it the green light.
And finally, I now hereby introduce the Labyrinth Dueling System. Since this system is new to this series ONLY, I am gonna lay down the rules and lingo. First off, the rules are pretty simple, being almost the same as normal, Deckmaster and Turbo Duels. However, there are some differences.
Field: The field is a giant maze made of two or more Labyrinth Zones, represented by the Labyrinth Fields. If you manage to invade your opponent's side, you automatically win.
Monsters: You can summon monster cards without restrictions. However, you still lose if you have 0 LP. However, you lose if your deck is out of monsters. Also, the stats are different. And each monster is placed into 5 types: Defender, Attacker, General, Infiltrator, and Flyer
Spells and Traps: You can set traps and spells anywhere on the field. Each deck comes with a set of Treasure cards. These cards can either grant a special effect bonus, or hold a trap that can detriment your opponent's monsters.
Monster Stats: Like normal duels and the like, Monsters have levels, ranks, attack, defense, types and attributes. However, there is also the following stats and effects:
MOVEMENT SPEED (MOV) - distance a monster can travel inside the Labyrinth. Monsters that fly can travel at 1 ½ times speed, while monsters underground can move an extra two spaces.
SHIELD (SHD) - Defenders are the only one that have this special stat. This represents the strength of their defense.
ANTI-AIR (AA) - Archers and certain other monsters have this special effect that force flyers out of the air.
ANTI-TRAP – Thieves and other stealthers have this effect that allows them to be unaffected by Labyrinth traps.
ARMOR PIERCER (AP) – Certain monsters have an effect that can pierce a monster with SHD stat. However, these cards are hard to get a hold of.
Now that you know the basics, let's get one last thing clear. While this series is full of systems like Deckmaster, Labyrinth, Turbo, and Normal Dueling, Action Dueling is only there to round out the 5 dueling types for the whole cast.
There is also a reason why Kuroza never uses Dragon Rulers either, seeing as he already has a deck full of dragons. That being said, I will still use the other systems (Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, and XYZ summoning). An example of the Ritual Summoning will be one of the more powerful Duel Spirits, Zetton.
Now, let us finish this part with the Disclaimer, which is exactly the same as last time. Now, with that said, let's get this party started.
"Good morning, Zideros City," said DJ Sagara, "And welcome once again to…"
"Move over, Sagara," said a voice. "I am taking over today. Time for a Duel Report!" All of a sudden, the theme for Kamen Rider Drive's Type Speed resounded. "Yesterday afternoon, there was a deckmaster duel between the first year rising star, Right Morimiko, and the false hero, Kuroza Kamigawa. Right should have won that, however, Kuroza cheated at the last second, using a trap card that should have been banned for a few years now. However, since it was not banned, Kuroza was able to make the duel a draw. However, for some strange reason, he declared it a win for Right. Right now has my approval as a true duelist, while Kuroza should just quit. This has been Reika Kaminari, and I just hit you with the truth stick."
Right woke up and wondered, "What the Hell?"
-Meanwhile-
"Damn that Reika," said Kuroza, now officially annoyed. "As long as I do not duel, she stays silent. But when I do duel, she takes pot shots at me like I am nothing more than dirt on her heel. And judging how she is right now, it's gonna be one hell of a rough day." And with that, he got out of bed and headed to the shower.
(The Year is 3027 AD) Picture focuses on Earth. It looks a lot cleaner than usual.
(The Star Knights are gone, transformed into 6 gems) All of a sudden, the Star Knights appear and seem to disappear. In their place are 6 gems, each a color of one of the Star Knights.
(A Divine Game is being played over the Spirits of the World) Darkbeasts Loki and Mephistopheles, along with Sagara, sit in front of a 3-person board.
(However, a young man holds the cards) All of a sudden, Right appears.
(To change the hand Fate has dealt the world) He holds a deck of Armored Riders in his hands.
(His name is Right Morimiko) He walks up to Yggdrasil Academy, a retro school building in Zideros City.
(And it is his fate to decide the fate of the future of the universe) All of a sudden, the camera zooms out to cover the whole galaxy.
(Cue in 'Be Somewhere' by Buzy)
[Answer Must Be Somewhere] Right stands on the roof of Yggdrasil Academy, overlooking Zideros City.
[Watashi no koto dareyori mo shitteru] The Armored Riders stand behind him, looking at the sunset.
[Watashi dakara shinjirareru] All of a sudden, the wind picks up and a group of petals float along with the wind.
[Miugoki dekinai you hosoi piano sen ga] Right is shown heading to school, tripping on the front doorstep.
[Sekai no sumizumi made harimegurasareteru] Right is eating lunch alongside Kuroza, who is writing his fanfiction. The Monster Hunter Beasts, Zoids, and Kaiju all stand behind him, as well as the 3rd most powerful of the Spirit Lords, Zetton.
[Sore wa tsumetaku hada ni kuikonda totan ni] All of a sudden, Right is grabbed by Amane, and placed in a headlock. The Amazoness monsters appearing behind her.
[Dokoka de shikakerareta torappu wo ugokasu] All of a sudden, Kuroza is hit with a paint ball. Kuroza turns to see Reika, and gives chase.
[Te wo nobashitara sagashiteta asu ni todoki sou na no] Right and Dankaku, the HERO duelist have a dance off, as the Spirits of the Star Knights watch over them. However, a shadow lurks over them as Sengoku Ryouma appears behind them.
[Yubisaki ni wa fureteiru] The Student Council appears and threatens Right and Dankaku, as Right switches to Deckmaster mode.
[Another Day Tomorrow] Right challenges the Deckmaster duelist, as Denkaku challenges the Normal Duelist.
[Kinou e wa kesshite susumenai kara] Kuroza, on the Ultima Star Liger, his signature Duel Runner, challenges the Turbo Duelist.
[Me wo tojita mama hashiridaseba] Amane challenges the Action Duelist in an Action Duel.
[Soko wa mirai] However, after defeating the Student Council, the Darkbeasts, Loki and Mephistopheles appear and challenge Kuroza and Right.
[Answer Must Be Somewhere] Kuroza changes to Wild Star Mode and Right equips the Kiwami Arms mode, and manage to defeat the two Dark Beasts.
[Watashi no koto dareyori mo shitteru] Right then stands on the roof of the academy again, looking over the city.
[Watashi dakara shinjirareru] Kuroza and the gang all join him and each take their
usual duel stance.
Chapter 3
Fire with Fire!
Burning Labyrinth Duel of Love!
"What the Hell," said Kuroza. He was gonna finally ride his Duel Runner, the Ultima Star Liger to school, when he saw it was painted all over with threats and slanders. One of them said, "LONG LIVE QUEEN REIKA," while another said, "LEAVE, SCUM". Usually, Kuroza was one to ignore them, but this time it was the last straw. "POPS," Kuroza called out, "It happened again."
"Eesh," said Pops Kamigawa, "Not again. I just fixed it. Well, this is coming out of your allowance, bud."
"I know, pops," said Kuroza, walking over to the old Vespa Pops had stashed for such an occasion. "I will bring it back, even if it is in pieces."
"Good," said Pops, as Kuroza left the garage. "MOOSE," Pops then called, "IT HAPPENED AGAIN!"
-Meanwhile-
"Seems you got a fangirl," said Amane, walking with Right to school.
"I heard her speak about the duel," said Right, getting annoyed. "She talked unfairly about Kuroza. Why is that, I ask?"
"Actually," said Amane, "When Reika first started at this school, she was nice to him. However, she recently started to distrust him, mostly because she faced Thunder Wolf and lost. She then dug into Kuroza's past, only to find out his past is a mystery. He was adopted by Pops, the local mechanic. She then started to insult and spread disrespect to Kuroza, who had to spend a month at a time out of school for it. Then came the clincher. After the last Senior class leaders tried to steal a very rare card from Kuroza, he took the 6 of them on, defeating them in 5 turns each."
"Wait," said Right, "That was all over one card?"
"It was a family heirloom," said Amane. "It was after that that rumours started popping up about Kuroza, greatly exaggerating his win record. The only reason he always won was because of his five standards."
"Five Standards," asked Right.
"Kuroza has five beliefs," said Amane, "Courage in the face of danger, truth above all, Skill above strategy, integrity enough to play fair, and diligence enough to work for a goal. With these five standards above all, he will do whatever it takes to fulfill these rules while meeting a goal.
"However, Reika, not willing to let up, even for a day, called the event a falsehood," said Reika, "forcing Kuroza to suffer more hatred. She even has a following, the Servants of Queen Reika, as they called themselves. Every time he duels, they go over to his Pop's place and trash his Duel Runner."
"Kuroza has a Duel Runner," said Right, amazed.
"Nobody told you," asked Amane, amazed, "Kuroza is this school's Turbo Duelist Champion. Every year we hold an intra-school duel war and Kuroza is the School Guardian. Once a year, he is the only one to stand guard at the gates and face any and all enemies who try to get through."
"Heh," said Reika, walking past, "Soon to be former Turbo Champion."
-Meanwhile-
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH," yelled out Kuroza. After he left the Garage for school on the Vespa, The small little scooter seemed to speed up past its limit. Kuroza had been trying to stop for the past few seconds, but found out, as he was saying, "NO BRAKES!"
All of a sudden, he was at the school, and made the last sharp turn into the school. However, he misjudged the distance to the parking space, and crashed. The crash was witnessed by a ton of people, including a young man with a video camera.
-2 hours later-
Kuroza woke up in the school infirmary, located on the first floor of the Academy main hall. He had been banged up pretty badly when he was brought in. However, all of the serious injuries were already healed.
"What happened," asked Kuroza of the School Nurse, Reina Akamari, a genius when it came to medicine and injuries.
"It looked like you were thrown into a meat shredder," said Reina, looking right at him. "However, thanks to that unique healing factor of yours, you will probably get off light."
"How did this happen," said Kuroza, "I was out on my way to school when the throttle just opened up. Then, when I tried to stop at the light, no brakes."
"Go and ask the mechanic club," said Reina, "They took a look and should have a report for you."
"Thanks, milady," said Kuroza, putting on his blazer and leaving. Reina sat there and smoked a cigarette.
-A few minutes later-
"Well," said the chief of the mechanics club, "There was not a lot of damage to the thing to begin with. We fixed it up and found the problem as we were checking the brake line. It wasn't there."
"Can it be replaced," said Kuroza, "I am gonna follow up on a lead."
"Can't fix what wasn't broken in the first place," said the chief, "Like I said, it was totally removed. However, I could give it a temporary replacement. It will get you home."
"Okay," said Kuroza, "Get to it. I got a few leads as to who would do such a thing. How much do I owe ya for repairs?"
"Can't accept any repair payments from the school guardian," said the mechanic club chief, "That would be unfair for the man who, single-handedly defends our school each Sengoku."
"Would have preferred to pay you," said Kuroza, "But I appreciate the business."
-After School-
"Hey, Amane," said Kuroza, "Have you seen Right? I need his help on something."
"I think he went to locate you," said Amane. "What's up?"
"I need some intel," said Kuroza, "Involving Reika's usual hangouts."
All of a sudden, Amane's usual attitude changed, as the Forest Dealer awoke. "What do you need to know?"
"Where does she hang out," asked Kuroza.
"There is a Cyber-café about three blocks away from Card-Liner," said Amane, "It is called 'Smart Cyber'. You can't miss it."
"Thank you," said Kuroza, running to the gate, "I owe you another one."
"I will add it to your tab," said Amane. With that, Kuroza left, going to look for Right.
-Later-
"Right," said Kuroza, having found him, "I need your help."
"Huh," said Right, "What do you need me for?"
"I need you as a witness," said Kuroza. "I am heading to the Smart Cyber three blocks from the Card Linder. I need you to be the witness to my final move."
"Final Move?" asked Right.
"I intend to challenge Reika to a Duel once and for all," said Kuroza, "This time, she has gone too far to allow me to forgive her petty motives."
"But how are we gonna get there?" asked Right.
"It's an easy walk there," said Kuroza, "We should be able to get there in a couple minutes."
-A couple minutes later-
"Well," said Kuroza, "We're here." Like he had said, it only took a couple of minutes to get there. In front of them was the Cyber café Smart Cyber, a subsidiary of Smart Brain, made after Smart Brain realized that developing Orphenochs was a bad move, seeing as how the human race would continue to thrive. "Now, let's get this over with," said Kuroza, as he walked through the front door.
"May I help you," said the clerk. He was a scrawny man, mid-thirties, wore square glasses, and had a wire-thin moustache. "Oh, it's you. What is it this time," he said to Kuroza. He had met Kuroza when Kuroza was just starting at Yggdrasil Academy. Back then, Kuroza was a scoundrel, doing what he wanted, when he wanted to, and always caused trouble. However, the head of the café knocked some sense into Kuroza, after he had attacked several seniors hiding out there after they tried to steal his cards. Since then, he had mellowed out. However, he let Kuroza know that he would not tolerate his bad behavior.
"Looking for Reika Kaminari," said Kuroza, "I got something to ask of her."
"Give me a minute," said the clerk, as he typed Reika's name into the computer. "Ah, yes," he then said, "She is in the back. Remember what happened here last time, bub, or I will have you booted from here for life."
"Understood, sir," said Kuroza, as he walked toward the back.
"Hello," said Right, as he walked past the clerk.
A minute later, Kuroza had found Reika. "Hello, Reika," said Kuroza.
Reika looked up from her laptop and said, "Oh, it's you. What do you want? I'm busy."
"I came here to challenge you," said Kuroza, "And Right is here to be the witness."
"Is that all you are here for," scoffed Reika, annoyed, "A duel between you and the person who hates your lies?"
"Not just that," said Kuroza, "I also accuse you and your little band of flunkies of removing my brake line. If it wasn't for the fact that I have a healing factor as fast as Wolverine's, I would have been street pizza by now. It took 5 minutes for me to open and close the gate, and the only people I know who move that fast are you, a couple of your ne'er- do-wells, pops and myself. And since Pops is known for being a good guy, and I was busy at the time, it had to either be you or the two flunkies."
"HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME," said Reika, getting up out of her seat. "TAKE IT BACK RIGHT NOW!"
"I did not say I was accusing you," said Kuroza, "I said, that if you want to clear your name, prove it in a duel. If you win, I will give myself up and leave the school for a year, allowing you and your flunkies a final victory. However, if I win, you will help me to identify the culprit and bring them to justice."
Reika smirked, "Deal," and shook his hand, "However, it will be a labyrinth duel. And it will take place tomorrow after school at the Duel Arena Labyrinth Zone."
"Deal," said Kuroza, and left, along with Right.
"Ah," said Reika, "My Right, just watch. I will destroy Kuroza with the symbol of my love."
-Later-
"Was that really necessary," asked Right, confused. They had left the café and gone back to the school. However, Right worked up the courage to ask.
"If I want to catch the culprit," said Kuroza, "Observation under pressure is absolutely necessary. Reika had nothing to do with it. She is officially off the list of suspects. That leaves the two flunkies."
"But you are now forced into a Labyrinth Duel," said Right, "Aren't you scared?"
"Actually," said Kuroza, "I'm terrified. However, in the words of an old friend of the family, 'Yoroshiku Yuuki da (1)'. It will be alright. Besides, I got just the perfect deck for it. I just have to decide the cards for it, and I am good to go."
"Wow," said Right, looking at his watch, "I gotta go home. I will see you tomorrow after school."
"Agreed," said Kuroza, and left, heading home.
-Meanwhile-
Deep in the Celestial Heavens, a trio of figures appeared in front of a three-way chessboard. "The time is almost upon us," said one figure. He was dressed in green, black and gold and wore a golden helmet with goat horns on the front. He wielded a spear with a single blade, and a blue sphere in the middle of the top. "It is almost time to finally decide who wins the game."
"Too true," said another figure, appearing out of the shadows. He looked less human, and wore all red. "Will the forces of good overcome the forces of destruction and darkness, or will the entire world fall into the abyss again?"
"The champion of the light has been chosen," said the last figure, appearing all of a sudden, it was Sagara, wearing a massive robe and a scarf. "He has befriended the chosen of the Wild Star, and the decisive battle to decide the chosen's fate will finally commence."
"Just remember," said the figure in red, "If he fails, like the last champion, the world will fall."
"Now hold on," said the figure in green, "You don't just get a free pick, Mephisto. The world will fall in flame before you get your muggy paws on it."
"Got to Hel (2), Loki," said Mephistopheles, snapping back at Loki.
"Now, now," said Sagara, breaking them up, "Let's just sit back and enjoy the show."
"Indeed," said Mephistopheles, disappearing in a burst of flames.
-Later: Right's house-
"Sis," asked Right, "What are the rules of a Labyrinth Duel?"
"Why would you like to know," asked Amane, curious.
"Kuroza challenged Reika to a duel today," said Right. "I was thinking about participating as the third opponent."
"Well," said Amane, "The rules are not that much different from the original rules. However, the additional rules are as follows. You win one of three ways- first you win if you manage to drop your opponent's life points to zero, second, you win if you manage to invade your opponent's side of the field, and finally, you win if your opponent has no monsters left in their deck.
"Labyrinth field spells are your starting point. These field spells are activated at the beginning of the duel, and are permanent spells, like the speed word spell is for Turbo Duelists. Normal spells and traps can be set on the field anywhere, even in the Labyrinth itself. In the middle is the arena, where, if you and an opponent have a monster, you can duke it out there. Also, the monsters you usually use get a special stat based on their attack and defense. An example of this is a card Kuroza uses in one of his decks, 'Space Godzilla', a defender-class monster."
"Thanks for the information," said Right, "I'm gonna go and get ready."
-2 hours later-
"There," said Right, placing the last card into his new Labyrinth deck, "It's ready. Labyrinth decks sure are hard to work with."
"I know," said a voice. Right turned around to see Sagara standing behind him. "Maybe these cards should help." Sagara gave Right a pair of cards, 'Armored Rider Gaim- Jimber Lemon', and 'Labyrinth Field- Helheim Forest'. "These cards will give you an added edge tomorrow."
"Thanks, Sagara," said Right, "But why are you giving them to me?"
"You are the only one who has a chance," said Sagara, disappearing.
-Meanwhile-
"Ah, dammit," said Kuroza, "Hard to decide which Gundams to use in this deck. I already decided on the Meteor six, and Freedom as my specialists, but other than that, the monsters I can choose for this deck are too many. Which should I even go with?"
"Having trouble, Kuroza," said Sagara, appearing out of thin air. "Perhaps I can help.
"Yes I am," said Kuroza, "Yes, You can, and just need a hand deciding which Gundams to use in this deck. Got the basics decided, just need the filler."
Sagara looked at the choices and took a large portion and added them together. He then handed the newly furbished deck to Kuroza. "Here you go," he then said.
Kuroza then looked over them and said, "I see you even added a few cards I didn't even have yet. Thanks. How do I even begin to repay you?"
"Actually," said Sagara, "If you lose to Right next time you face him, give him a chance to join your little group. Also, during the School Festival, have him lead your team."
"Already plan to do that, whether of win or loss," said Kuroza. "However, will add it to the other request you made of me, involving the release of your friends, the Star Knights from their earthly bonds."
"That was a promise from you to me, old friend," said Sagara, "I will hold you to it, chosen host of the Wild Star." And with that last bit, Sagara vanished, saying, "I look forward to your battle tomorrow."
-The next day-
-After School-
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN," said Sagara, "WELCOME TO THE DUEL ARENA'S LABYRINTH ZONE. TODAY'S MATCH HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING FOR TWO OF THE THREE COMBATANTS, SEEING AS HOW THEIR ENMITY OF EACH OTHER IS LEGENDARY, ESPECIALLY TO THE STUDENTS OF YGDRASSIL ACADEMY! THAT'S RIGHT, IT IS A DUEL TO THE FINISH BETWEEN KUROZA AND REIKA, WITH A SPECIAL LATE ENTRY!"
"You sure about this," said Amane to Kuroza, "You kinda know you are walking right into her zone of expertise just by accepting her terms, right?"
"I gotta settle this," said Kuroza, "I cannot let this grudge go unsettled. I gotta understand why she is mad at me, and why she is always causing me grief."
"Alright," said Amane, kissing Kuroza on the cheek, "For luck."
"Thanks," said Kuroza, "Gonna need it. It's been a while since I fought a Labyrinth Duel. This tiem, however, I feel a change in the wind. Time to really let loose."
"AND NOW," said Sagara, "I ASK YOU TO TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO THE ARENA AS THE FIRST OF THE COMPETITORS APPROACHES THE FIELD! COMING IN IS THE LEGENDARY KING OF MONSTERS AND MECHA HIMSELF, THE ONE, THE ONLY KUROZA KAMIGAWA!"
Kuroza entered the labyrinth arena to both cheers and jeers. He wore a pair of denim jeans, brown military boots, a black shirt, and a white Blazer. On the back of the blazer, in big bold red words was 'LONDO BELL', the name of the military unit who fought in the space above earth during the Second Neo-Zeon War as depicted in Char's Counterattack. On the left side of the front was the Amuro Ray Symbol, a red triangle with a unicorn on top. On the right side was a single red stripe going vertical from collar to jacket bottom. The sleeves were all-white with a single black stripe going along the length of the sleeve.
"AND NOW ENTERING THE ARENA IS THE CHALLENGER," said Sagara, "THE SELF-APPOINTED QUEN OF THE VLOG, AND THE #1 HATER OF KUROZA, PLEASE WELCOME REIKA KAMINARI!" All of a sudden, a group of people called out Reika's name, calling for her to 'remove the nuisance of Kuroza's name from the ranks of their pure school. She was wearing a dress similar to Eirika's from Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones. However, it was all red, with the armor bits being more silver in color.
"Hope you packed up your things," said Reika, "Because I will finally wash my fair school's name clean of your evil once and for all."
Kuroza sighed, annoyed for the last time. "I only seek justice for the transgressions done to me and my name," he then said, "As well as an end to hostilities between us. Heck, due to your response, you are no longer on the list of suspects."
Reika was taken aback, "You mean, you were testing my innocence the whole time? I'm actually impressed. However, you want me to not hate you, after what you did?"
"What did I do to deserve your ire," asked Kuroza.
"It's actually very simple," said Reika, "I don't believe your win/loss record is even real. It sounds too massive to be true, so I called it a hoax."
"Wait a minute," said Kuroza, "That's it? You just don't believe I had an undefeated streak? Heck, even after I lost to Right, you just kept it up. It's like I have no choice but to say I lied and admit that the streak is a hoax."
"That would end the animosity between us," said Reika.
"Very well then," said Kuroza, grabbing a mike, "Sagara, What's my win/loss ratio at?"
"Except for a few losses," said Sagara, "Two early on, and one just recently, you are practically one of the most powerful duelists here."
"Then we have a problem," said Kuroza, "because until that win/loss record is no longer in existence, there will be a lot of animosity for it. So, here is what is gonna happen. I want that win/loss rate erased."
"WHAT," said everyone in the arena.
"You sure you want to do that," asked Sagara, "resetting your record doesn't mean a thing."
"If Reika says it's a hoax," said Kuroza, "Who am I to argue. As of now, I hereby start my win/loss record at ALL ZERO!"
All of a sudden, Kuroza's Win/loss record appeared on the screen above the arena. All of a sudden, the numbers below Kuroza's name disappeared and were replaced with two zeroes. "There," said Kuroza, "Now, the legendary win/loss record of Kuroza is no longer a hoax. Satisfied, Reika?"
"Why did you do that," asked Reika, confused.
"Pops once told me," said Kuroza, "That sometimes, you have to start over to help people trust you again. My Five standards are truth, skill, integrity, courage and diligence. If someone doesn't believe in the record, I am more than willing to start over, and work my way to the top again. But enough about this, shall we welcome the last entry?
"Yes," said Reika, "Let's do so, and finally get this game on."
"AND NOW," said Sagara, "WE HAVE A LATE ENTRY! PLEASE WELCOME A NEWCOMER TO THE LABYRINTH DUEL, RIGHT MORIMIKO!"
"Wait, what," said Kuroza, astonished. "Right is joining the fight?"
"Ah, Right, my love," said Reika, "I see you are here to fight as well."
"I am here to try my hand at this type of duel," said Right, activating his duel disk, "And nothing more. Good luck to the both of you."
"And you as well," said Kuroza to both Reika and Right, activating his duel disc.
"Same," said Reika, activating hers.
"AND NOW," said Sagara, "DUELISTS, ACTIVATE YOUR LABYRINTH FIELD SPELLS!"
All of a sudden, Reika activated hers, 'Labyrinth Field- Arena Town'. Right activated his, 'Labyrinth Field- Helheim Forest', and Kuroza activated his, 'Labyrinth Field- Jungle Battlefield'. All of a sudden, a forest, a town and a giant jungle zone appeared on the field.
"LET THE LABYRINTH DUEL COMMENCE," said Sagara.
Duel Start!
Kuroza (4000 LP)
Vs.
Reika (4000 LP)
Vs.
Right (4000 LP)
"I'll start things off," said Reika, drawing for turn. "I place three traps on the field and summon 'Thief' to the field in attack formation." All of a sudden, a thief appeared on the field. He wore a blue cloak and hood and held a dagger in one hand.
Thief (1000 attack points/ move 4)
"And with that," said Reika, I move my Thief into the maze, from the right entrance, moving his 4 spaces." All of a sudden, the thief went into the maze.
"Guess it's my turn," said Kuroza, drawing for turn. He then smiled and said, "I summon out my guardian 'FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam' to the field in defense mode." All of a sudden, a green Gundam appeared on the field. It looked like the RX-78, but had massive armor and a twin-barreled cannon on its right arm. On its right shoulder was a long cannon, allowing it to hit anything that got close.
FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam (2000 defense points/ move 2)
"Next," said Kuroza, "I summon three 'RX-79 (G) Gundam Ground- type' monsters to the field in attack mode." All of a sudden, three Gundam Ground-types seemed to drop out of the sky. Each had on what looked a backpack , and carried a single machine gun carrying 1000 100mm rounds.
RX-79 (G) Gundam Ground-type (1400 attack points/ move 3)
"These units were mass-produced using spare parts from the RX series," said Kuroza. "Their packs carry different weapons they might need during missions. However, their movement is 3 because of the packs. However, they make up for it with their effects."
"Effects," asked Right, "You mean they have more than one effect?"
"These aren't the only ones," said Kuroza, "The 08th MS Team set was a test type during the time of Kurogane Reppuu. They can, if I choose to, sacrifice their attack for a massive attack, as long as three or more units are on the field at the same time. Or, if I so choose, I can search for an equip spell with '08 weapon' in its name and add it to one of the units. This effect comes in handy later, though. However, enough chat, as the three units now move into the maze."
All of a sudden, each Gundam Ground-type entered the maze from a different entrance. "And with that," said Kuroza, "I end my turn."
"It's my turn," said Right drawing for turn. "I summon 'Kamen Rider Black' to the field in attack mode, and move him forward 5 spaces." All of a sudden, a figure in black appeared on the field. He wore all black with red and orange accents all over. On his waist was a silver drier, housing the King Stone, a sentient crystalline object. This was the Cyborg called the Century King Black Sun, aka Kamen Rider Black.
Kamen Rider Black (1600 attack points/ move 4)
"Next," said Right, "I send Black into the labyrinth and set three traps on the field." Kamen Rider Black moved into the labyrinth field.
"Let's go," said Reika, drawing for turn. "I summon 'Knight' into the defender position, summon 'Myrmidon' to the field in attack mode, and send him into the maze."
All of a sudden, a man in civilian clothes appeared on the field. He looked like a normal mercenary and carried a sword, holding it backwards, with the blade facing the ground behind him. He then stepped into the maze, as a giant armored figure appeared near the entrance of the labyrinth field.
Knight (2000 defense points/ move 2)
Myrmidon (1600 attack points/ move 5)
"Next," said Reika, "I activate 'Pot of Greed', drawing two more cards and summoning 'Archer' to the field in attack mode." All of a sudden, a young woman appeared on the field holding a bow. On one leg was a quiver of arrows.
Archer (1000 attack points/ move 4)
"Archer allows me to target any monsters that fly over the labyrinth," said Reika. "However, I just move thief into deeper into the labyrinth." All of a sudden, the thief Reika moved into the maze turned and moved into a different path, going deeper into the maze. "Now, I end my turn," said Reika.
"Let's go," said Kuroza, drawing a card. "I summon one of the more powerful Gundams of the U.C. series, the 'RX- 0 Unicorn Gundam' to the field in attack mode." All of a sudden, a giant white mobile suit appeared on the field. It had only a small green sliver where the eyes were, and one horn, sticking out like a unicorn. It carried a beam magnum, and a shield. This was the Beast of Possibility, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam.
RX- 0 Unicorn Gundam (2000 attack points/ move 4)
"This Gundam has a very unique effect," said Kuroza, "Where, if I choose to, once per turn, in exchange for the attack of this creature, I can boost the movement speed to twice its usual. I choose to do so this turn, sending it into the maze, opposite the Myrmidon. Unicorn Gundam, NT-D ACTIVATE!" All of a sudden, the body seemed to glow red, and then it transformed, compartments opening up, revealing Psy-Commu compartments all over the place. The head even opened up, revealing a Gundam face, complete with the red chin, two mouth vents, and the w-antenna on the top. This was the NT-D formation of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, capable of destroying any mobile suits it came across.
RX- 0 Unicorn Gundam (2000 attack points/ move 4 -move 8)
"Now," said Kuroza, I send all units but my shield into the Maze, and send the ground troops in further." All of a sudden, the RX-0 seemed to disappear from its place, only to reappear 8 spaces in, as if it teleported.
"Now," said Kuroza, I set three cards face down and activate the spell card '08th Team Weapons Cache', which allows me to search for three different equip spells with '08th team' in their name and place them in three chests. However, the placement is then randomized." All of a sudden, Kuroza pulled out three cards from his deck, shuffled the deck and placed the three cards on the field. All of a sudden, three chests appeared on the field. One appeared right in front of the arena, another appeared in a lone pathway, and another appeared right in front of the thief Reika kept moving.
"Aw, nuts," said Kuroza, dissuaded, "Guess I gotta end my turn. Just you wait."
"My turn," said Right, drawing for turn. "I summon 'Kamen Rider Nigo' and 'Skyrider' to the field in attack mode." All of a sudden, a black and green Rider appeared on the field in the defender position, as a green and red one appeared at the entrance of the Labyrinth.
Kamen Rider Nigo (2000 defense points/ move 4)
Skyrider (1000 attack points/ move 5)
"Next, I send Black further into the labyrinth," said Right, as Kamen Rider Black moved further along his path. "And then I send Skyrider into the maze as well." All of a sudden, Skyrider stepped into the maze. "And with that," said Right, "I end my turn."
"Alright," said Reika, drawing for turn, "Finally, I declare it time to begin the assault, for I now summon 'Lynn, the Lady of the Plains' to the field in attack mode and send her into the maze." All of a sudden, a young woman appeared on the field, dressed in blue. On her hips was a strange sword. This was Lynn, a young girl whose fate was to return to her rightful place as a sovereign in the first of the Fire Emblem games to ever get released in the US.
Lynn, the Lady of the Plains (2800 attack points/ 6 move)
"Lynn can," said Reika, "Once per turn, when she does battle with an opposing monster, destroy said monster, regardless of damage dealt to her. And she is making her way towards your Gundams, Kuroza."
"Not gonna happen," said Kuroza, activating a trap, "I activate the trap space you just stepped on, 'Minefield'. This card can, if a monster steps on it in a labyrinth duel, spreads mines all over the Labyrinth. They are unmarked spaces, and are decided at random. Because of this, not even I know where they are. Once per turn, when your monster stops, roll a dice. If you get an even number, you are safe. However, if you get odds, then you flip a coin. Heads, it's a dud, and you are safe. Tails, it is live, and your monster is standing on a 100% chance of death if they leave that square."
"How am I supposed to know which square is safe," asked Reika, annoyed, "This is one of the reasons I distrusted you."
"Trial and Error is part of the deal," said Kuroza, "And another thing, if it makes you feel any better, I am in as much danger of losing a monster as you are. The only difference is that I know this deck well, and there is an inherent risk in using the cards in this deck. However, if memory serves, we are not done yet. Shall we continue?"
"Fine," said Reika, "I end the turn by moving the Thief towards that new chest." All of a sudden, the thief reached the chest Kuroza accidentally set. Out popped a 180mm cannon. However, when the thief tried to pick it up, he found out it was too heavy.
"Forgot to mention," said Kuroza, "MS weapons are massive, and too heavy for any other monster to wield, save for other MS. Now, is it my turn?"
"Yep," said Reika, motioning him to go.
"Alright," said Kuroza, drawing for turn. After he saw the card he got, he smiled and said, "Let's get the party really started. It's finally time to tear things up!"
All of a sudden, half the arena cheered. The legendary Wolf of Light and holder of a near impossible winning streak was about to finally show what he was made of. "I activate the spell card 'From the Shadows', which, in exchange for 1000 LP, allows me to special summon 'Shadow Gundam' to the field in attack mode." All of a sudden, a strange silhouette appeared on the field. "However," continued Kuroza, "Shadow Gundam appears in the Labyrinth at a random position. Think of him as a Ninja Gundam."
Kuroza (3000 LP)
Reika (4000 LP)
Right (4000 LP)
"And now," said Kuroza, looking at the field, "I summon out the Sixth Gundam, the legendary Demon of Destruction. Say hello to 'Gundam Epyon'." All of a sudden, a red and black Gundam appeared on the field. It had red wings with black accents. On one arm was a strange whip-like appendage, and the other hand, was a beam saber. This was the close-quarters specialist, Gundam Epyon.
Gundam Epyon (2100 attack points/ 6 move)
"Epyon and Shadow will now enter the maze," said Kuroza, and Epyon and the silhouette seemed to enter the maze. However, the silhouette just vanished as soon as it entered the maze. "Wait for it," said Kuroza, "And Shadow now appears in true." All of a sudden, right in front of the thief, a black and white Gundam appeared on the field. It had a dome helmet and a pair of Spiegel Blade on his arms. This was the ninja Gundam Fighter of Neo-Germany from the FC era, Shadow Gundam.
Shadow Gundam (2500 attack points/ 0 move)
"What is up with the zero move," asked Right.
"Gundam units like this have zero move point," said Kuroza, "Because they can disappear and reappear anywhere at random, making them perfect for infiltration. However, anyone know why there is a forest on the field?"
"Just watch and enjoy," said Right, "You'll see soon enough."
"Alright," said Kuroza. "It's about time to end this. Shadow Gundam, Take that Thief down with STURM UND DRANG!" All of a sudden, the Shadow Gundam thrust both arms forward. It then clasped both hands together, and the Spiegel blade popped forwards. Then the Shadow Gundam crossed both arms in front of his chest so that the blades were facing opposite directions, and began to spin like a top. All of a sudden, it started to move in different directions, bouncing off the walls of the labyrinth till it hit the thief, destroying it.
Kuroza (3000 LP)
Reika (2500LP)
Right (4000 LP)
"Now," said Kuroza, "Shadow Gundam disappears into the shadows once again. And the rest of the Gundam units now move forward." The Ground Gundams managed to get to the arena, and the Unicorn Gundam made it to the other side of the arena, heading towards Reika. "And with that, I end my turn. I already did the checks, and I am safe."
"Finally," said Right, drawing for turn, "I summon 'Kamen Rider Super-1' to the field, as well as 'Armored Rider Gaim'. Both in attack mode. All of a sudden, a Silver and black Kamen Rider appeared on the field, along side Kouta. This was the legendary Showa Rider designed for space, Super-1.
Kamen Rider Super-1 (1800 attack/ move 5)
Kouta then pulled out an orange Lockseed, and popped the lock. "Orange," said the lockseed. All of a sudden, a hole appeared over Kouta's head, and a giant orange appeared from out of the hole, which sealed up after it. Kouta then placed the lock into the Sengoku Driver, and pressed down the locking mechanism. "Lock on," said the seed and Driver. All of a sudden, a horn sounded, like a call to arms. Kouta then 'cut' the orange with his 'sword'.
"Soiya! Orange Arms! Hanamachi On Stage!"
Suddenly, the giant orange slammed down on top of Kouta, while a strange armor seemed to cover him. Then it opened up to reveal samurai-like armor. The head section had a samurai helmet with an orange slice in the eye spot. This was the man who fought to defend his world from the Invess, Armored Rider Gaim.
Armored Rider Gain- Orange Arms (4 star/ 1900—2400 attack/ 1200 defense)
"I forgot 'Helheim Forest' boosts Armored Riders," said Kuroza.
"That's not even the half of it," said Right, "wait for a bit and you will see the Forest's true effect. Now, All Riders but Nigo and Super-1 will continue into the maze." As Black and Skyrider moved further into the labyrinth, Right rolled each time they stopped. They were safe. "And with that," said Right, "end my turn. Reika, you're up."
"Got it," said Reika, drawing for turn. "I activate the spell card 'Knight's Crest', sending my knight to the graveyard to special summon 'General' to the field in defense mode." All of a sudden, the already heavily armored knight disappeared, only to be replaced with an even larger version, armored and carrying a lance and axe.
"Now," said Reika, "Lynn enters the Arena. There are now enough monsters to battle. Pick your monster, Kuroza."
"Shiro," said Kuroza, as one of the Ground Gundams moved forward. "His effect is that he can strike more than once, as long as his opponent has more attack points." All of a sudden the Ground Gundam pulled out a beam saber and struck at Lynn, who easily evaded the sword strike and struck the Gundam dead in the chest, destroying it.
Kuroza (1900 LP)
Reika (2500LP)
Right (4000 LP)
"Your turn," said Reika, smug after the win. "Next time it is my turn, I will end the reign of falsehood that you presided over, and you will be removed from this school."
"I won't even give you the chance," said Kuroza, "For he only place left to me would be Tartarus Academy, And I am not ready to go there yet." He then drew for turn. "THIS IS YOUR FINAL TURN," called Kuroza.
"How," said Reika, being extra snarky, "you are at lower LP, you have no chance against me, and your monsters are all weaker than mine. How are you possibly able to defeat me now?"
"With this," said Kuroza, "One of the legendary Gundams first used by Kurogane Reppuu after the Metal HERO series was lost to him. I summon out the Heavy Weapons Gundam of Celestial Being, 'GN-005- Gundam Virtue' in attack mode in the Sniper section." All of a sudden, a fireball hit the ground, and a black and white Gundam appeared on the field. It almost looked like an oni, and had two massive pads on his arms. It carried a giant cannon in one arm. This was the heavy weapons unit of Celestial Being, and the last card used by Kurogane before his disappearance, the Gundam Virute.
Gundam Virtue (3000 attack/ 5 move)
"He may look tough," said Kuroza, "But don't judge him, because he is much more dangerous in a Labyrinth Duel. I activate his effect, sacrificing half my remaining life points and my defender to destroy yours. Gundam Virtue, Set GN Cannons to maximum." All of a sudden, the shoulder pads moved up and lateral, revealing twin double-barreled cannons. "And," said Kuroza, waiting for the cannons to charge, "FIIIIIIRE!"
All of a sudden, a massive blast of energy discharged from the cannons, flying in a straight line at the General, hitting him square in the chest, destroying him.
"And now for the final strike," said Kuroza, "I activate the spell card 'Over-boost', targeting Unicorn with its effects. This not only doubles the movement speed of the mecha, but triples it to its maximum." All of a sudden the Unicorn Gundam seemed to burst into NT-D mode. "Unicorn Gundam now moves into your field, invading your side and ending your battle," said Kuroza, as the RX-0 shot off like a bullet, moving so fast, he landed in Reika's labyrinth field."
Kuroza (950LP)
Right (4000 LP)
Reika's field invaded!
Reika loses!
The entire crowd cheered as Kuroza said, "That is how you take care of that." However, he then looked at the field. The entire field was not overrun by a strange forest, with a path going all the way to his field. "Oh, no," said Kuroza, "Let me guess, once per turn, as long as Helheim is active, it can create a path that overruns the field?"
"Yep," said Right, "And since you are now completely overrun, all I gotta do is wait for you to end your turn."
"Did not see that coming," said Kuroza, smiling, "However, let it never be said I would make it easy for you. As my last move for he game, I place 'Gundam Heavyarms Custom' on the field in attack mode in the defender position." All of a sudden, a green and black Gundam with two twin Gatling cannons appeared on the field, in a protective position. This was one of the last f the Meteor Five, the Gundam Heavyarms Custom.
Gundam Heavyarms Custom (2600 attack/ 5 move)
"And with that," said Kuroza, I gotta end my turn. Right, let's make a wager."
"What are the terms," said Right.
"If you win, You must meet with a few friends of mine," said Kuroza. "If I win, you must help me out at Pops for an hour on a day I decide."
"Deal," said Right.
"Good," said Kuroza, ending his turn.
"I send Gaim all the way through the Helheim forest, due to his Labyrinth Duel Effect," said Right, "And send him into your Labyrinth field right behind your Gundam."
All of a sudden, Armored Rider Gaim jumped into an opening in the dimensional rift that opened in front of him like a zipper and disappeared. However, almost two seconds later, Gaim appeared right inside Kuroza's field.
Right (4000 LP)
Kuroza's field invaded!
Right Wins! Flawless Victory!
"A STUNNING UPSET," said Sagara from the announcer's booth. Everyone was off their seats, including the Reika fan club. "KUROZA STILL MANAGED TO DEFEAT REIKA, BUT WAS NO MATCH FOR THE PACIFIST'S WIN! RIGHT WINS BY INVASION IN HIS FIRST EVER LABYRINTH DUEL!"
"Ah, rats," said Kuroza, dropping to his knees. However, the crowd was cheering both his and Right's names. "Ah well," he then said, "That was a fun duel. Thanks, Right and Reika. I haven't had this much fun in ages."
"I guess you win this one," said Reika, "But that doesn't mean I don't believe the legend you supported."
"What legend," asked Kuroza, "I reset the score, remember? It's now 1-1 for me. In turn, I have to ask your help in bringing the culprit to justice for what happened yesterday."
"I will," said Reika, "I do need to thank you for resetting the score, making it the truth rather than the flawless duel score."
"I got it," said Kuroza, "However, a more important question is directed at Right. That strategy you used, bud. How did you pull off the Pacifist's Win?"
"Dunno," said Right, "I was just following what Redue advised me to do."
"Kinda figured," said Kuroza. However, he then turned to the crowds and said, "Reika, Right, thanks. If it weren't for you, I would never be able to enjoy myself again like this. Drinks are on me tonight." And with that, the trio left the arena.
-Meanwhile-
"He did it again," said a shadowy figure. It was night at Yggdrasil and the Student Council was having an emergency meeting. "Kuroza had stopped one of our plans from going into fruition. He reset the win record we gave him and made it so that Reika now trusts him a little."
"Patience," said another figure, this one in the center. "Soon, we will complete our mission and the resistance won't be able to stop us."
It was later learned that the rumour of the Kuroza win/loss record was a hoax concocted by the Student Council to force Kuroza to accept a bribe a long time ago. Kuroza was also able to find out the culprit was not a member of Reika's fan group, but a Council flunky.

Well, now I have to explain the rumour. For the last 3 years, Kuroza was being exaggerated as a superior duelist. However, the rumours got so big, they made Kuroza look as good as Chuck Norris (Yes, I went there, now get over it). Reika had heard the rumours and never believed them. Despite her deck being based on Fire Emblem, she is a strong believer in the facts. However, so is Kuroza, who is actually got a decent win/loss record out of the School Sengoku. However, he allowed the rumour to, as he would say it, "Run its course till people stop believing such nonsense."
Well, another chapter completed, and I apologize for it taking so long. I just had to get the majority of the School Duels cleared before I took on any more chapters. I hope you enjoy. If you want, send us a few OC ideas in the comment section.
