Hikari was in her room. She couldn't sleep. But it wasn't dark out yet. She wasn't about to eat here either. She wasn't very hungry. She'd eaten a little while ago before she'd been shown her room. It was the same one that she'd stayed in when she'd visted her uncle before she'd moved to Japan. "I can't believe Ojisan has become so... cruel. He's a complete lunatic now." Hikari wiped away her tears, remebereing the good times she'd shared with Pegasus before he'd become heartless. They weren't related by blood, but they'd been so close before Cecilia died. She remebred how her O-kasan had intorduced them. Hikari wiped away her tears. The Memory came. "Obasan Cecelia!" A 5 year old Hikari had siad, racing to meet the blonde haired woman. "Kiki-chan! Nice to see you!" Hikari wiped away more tears as the image faded to one of her funeral. "Why would fate be so cruel?" Pegasus asked. A 6 year old Hikari grabbed his hand. "She's still watching us from above." Hikari said. "She'll live on in our hearts too." "I guess you're right Hikari. Thank you." "For what? I'm only 6." "Well, you tried to cheer me up. Thank you. "Did It work?" "A little." It obviously hadn't. He still had hatred. He hated what he belived God had done.
"Ojisan..." Hikari wept. There was a knock on her door. She wiped away her tears. "Enter." "Hikari?" "Oh. Hi Yu-kun." Hikari said. He sat beside her. "What's wrong?" "I'm just thinking of my parents." It wasn't a complete lie. "I see. I'm sorry about that. It must be very hard for you to accept that they're gone." She nodded. "It is." She wiped away the tears. "Why did you come over?" "I wanted to see you." "Okay." Yugi blushed. "Um... Hikari?" "Yes?" "Do you think we could ever be more than friends?" "Nani?" "Do you think we could be more than friends?" "Maybe." She said softly. "Hikari..." "Yeah?" "I... I l-love you." he said softly. "What?" She hadn't heard him. "I said I love you." "Oh." During her time in Amerika, she'd been bullied for her hair. Because of the color, people teased her. She'd expected nop less here, but what she got, were best friends. And a love interest too? It seemed way too good to be true. Nobody would've said this to her in Amerika. She'd had a crush on Yugi, but had been to afriad to tell him. "Yu-kun?" "Yes?" "I... I've had a crush on you for a while now, but I've been to afraid to say so." He gently placed his hand on hers. "Maybe now we could..." Yugi trailed off. "Be more." Hikari said, knowing where he was going with that.
He looked at her. "Hikari." She looked at him. "Yeah?" Hikari said softly. "What if we..." Yugi began, his voice trailing off again. "If we, what?" She asked. "I was thinking that we could be more than friends now." Hikari thought for a moment. "Yeah, I guess so." She said simply. "So does that mean...?" Hikari asked. "Yeah. It's official now." Yugi replied Hikari smiled. "I thought so." She said. He gently placed his hand on hers. "Maybe we could..." Hid voice trailed off. For the third time. "You keep trailing off like that and it'll become a habit." Hikari teased. "Ha ha ha." Yugi said. She snickered. "What?" He asked. "You're funny." He rolled his eyes. He really should've expected that. "Hikari." Yugi said softly. "Yes?" She hoped to hell he wouldn't trail off again. He leaned forward. "Uh... Yu-kun? Wh-what're you doing?" She asked. "I..." He stopped as his lips met hers. her eyes widened in shock. So that's what he'd been trying to do. He could've told her. Would it kill him to do so? No, but still, the shock was a bit much. She returned it, though she'd never expected that to happen so soon. Granted, they'd known each other for 3 years but stil. It was surprising. And yet, yet she liked it. She pulled away and bit her lip, knowing that the sensation would take over soon enough. But she wasn't sure if she could withstand the temptation. She was only 14 after all. Not easily tempted, yet this... it was different.
