Hope you like the chapter. I own nothing, flames blow up garbage, the usual. I need 10 reviews in all to update!
SCARLETT'S POV:
'Rhett, I'm not letting you get away. Not again. You are not leaving me, you coward.'
She raced toward the place she knew where he would be, a Miss Belle Watling's barroom. 'Rhett Butler, I know you love me and you are not running away.'
RHETT'S POV:
"I left her because I had to. My God, Belle, you know I love her but I can't have her lying in my arms wishing I were Ashley Wilkes. When she was crying, I wanted so much to take her in my arms, kiss her and let nothing hurt her, but I knew I couldn't. I would be putting my heart on the line a third time."
"Rhett, you love her. We know this is true. If she is what you say she is, she's worth putting your heart out there because I doubt she's lying about this. If I were you, Rhett, I would do it. Rhett, this southern belle stole your heart and I am sure she's worth risking said heart." Belle smiled at him kindly.
Rhett digested this in silence. "Belle, after you said that all my mind wanted me to do was to go to her and beg for another chance together. However, what should I say? I just left her, for goodness sake!"
"Maybe 'I love you,' 'I'm sorry' and 'Forgive me,' almighty Captain Butler. You've risked your life and I think you can risk your heart."
"Maybe so, Belle, maybe so."
BONNIE'S POV:
Bonnie walked toward where she knew the house was and she saw Mommy running toward the bar where Daddy was. "Mommy! Mommy!"
Mommy turned her head, looking for the voice of her darling Bonnie. "Bonnie! Bonnie baby?"
Bonnie closed her eyes and pictured her father. "I'm leaving, Belle. I need to talk to Scarlett."
"Mommy! Go home! Daddy's coming!"
Her mother hesitated for a second but raced back toward the house as she tucked her flyaway hair back into its bun. "Bonnie, if know you're watching me from Heaven. Bonnie, thank you."
